Wyntile's Female Isekais

Wyntile's Female Isekais
Anyone notice how there's a lot of titles with this genre lately? Like a LOT?

Novels are from my list. Novels from my "Top Favorites" are typically found within the first page of this list.

And no, I will not be including tr*sh novels or novels I've dropped. So don’t expect anything like Kumo Desu-ga on here. If you hate 100+ chapters worth of dungeon arcs, or even dungeon arcs in general, you’ll know what I mean. :)

In case anyone was wondering, these novels won't contain much traditional setting Korean or Chinese novels. I'm Korean myself, but with my highly ADHD mind, I have a hard time telling who is who when it comes to characters that have 3 syllable names. So unless a novel has highly unique names, I ain't reading it!

Your welcome! They're not perfect, but from the number of similar novels I've read, they don't have brain-dead characters.

Sorry, had to re-do this reply since NU won't let me edit =_= Anyways..

Back when I read it on 2017, the only group who put up translations couldn't even use Google MTL properly. The formatting was set like badly written poems, with barely legible written English sentences. It wasn't even formatted as paragraphs.

But translations aside, the whole first "Kumo's Evolution Arc" literally spanned over across more than the first 100+ chapters. If the story had Kumo interact with sentient beings (intelligent beings) in some way, I would be compelled to stay and read more, but the first 100+ chapters were about her fighting and grinding in the dungeons [alone]. Kumo Desu-ga was the first ever novel I remember literally skipping over chapters that featured her grinding in the dungeon to excruciating detail, where I have to say even "The King's Avatar" was a better story in that aspect, since that novel actually featured ML [interacting] with intelligent beings that can actually hold a conversation. Where even that novel also had too many unnecessary grinding moments of levelling his game character.

In short, for me I don't like reading more than 5+ chapters where authors describe someone'e dungeon process in excruciating detail. Apparently from what I saw in the wiki spoilers, Kumo doesn't actually go outside the dungeon until 100+ chapters later where she evolved into an Arachne. Where I believe the story actually started from there. Like really author? You couldn't bother to simplify her entire evolution process in less than say, even 20 chapters? Why couldn't you start from the moment where Kumo became an Arachne and actually start with the story and full out world building from there? It's been a while since I last read it, but I recall readers didn't even get a third party POV from other transported characters much.

In any case yeah. Kumo for me served as a real driving point for me as a story that literally dragged on with unnecessarily fillers/dungeon grinding. At 100+ chapters at that. I'm not sure if a new translation group picked it up and compiled those long chapter pieces into smaller ones, but by then I had enough.

@Wyntile i see. I read the ln so cant say anything about the wn. Anyway, in the ln there are occasional third party in those dungeon times. And those chapters are also used for telling the story as many important things happen there. Just treat it as a female mc reincarnated in an action novel and it should be good. Anyway, everyone has different tastes so i wont say anything else. But, you are truly missing out a gem if you dont read it because of those chapters.(Though the ending was a bit rushed imo)

And you can edit your comments though. Its just below your pfp of the comment.

@Bunnyman13 If the story was more focused on dungeons, like say featuring character that were Dungeon Masters, I would’ve tolerated it a bit more. I’ve read those types before and they were good.

Ah, was the light novel more condensed? I hope the first Kumo’s evolution arc in that version didn’t take over 100 chapters as the web did. I somehow tolerated reading over 100 chapters, only to be disappointed with the actual world building or point of the story getting nowhere so I ended up dropping it. It was like reading novels like “Release the Witch” where no one actually gives a crap about learning about overly technical engineering terms. But the author still insisted on explaining to finer details.

Anyways, I’ll end it here. It was the overall reading experience of the former translations too that ruined everything for me, so I don’t think I’ll ever have plans on rereading it. The heroine’s personality was similar to mine, so that’s what intriqued me to read it in the first place. But the author really ruined it for me with everything that was mentioned above
