The premise was so addicting that I decided to MTL this.

Such a cute story, had it's cliché moments but the characters really made the story. I can't wait to properly read a translated version of this one day. Overall, an enjoyable quick read if you want fluffy.

Few things to point out:

The FL is really self deprecating. She does not see herself as someone at all worthy for the ML, who in turns feel the same way. To the point that the ML is willing to change things about himself from words she said in passing. He is such a cute character though; awkward and heads over heels for her. The two leads complement each other really well in personality, while the sides make decent foils. I do wish the story was slightly longer to really flesh out the characters more.

I started the story because of the translator. I love the other completed works, and the translator's notes.

So far, the story is very interesting and intriguing for me. Viola, the heroine, has such an awkward relationship with her fiancé despite being engaged since childhood. Thus, when she got the chance, pretended she got amnesia just so she can break off the engagement. But then, Philip started spouting lies about them actually being very much in love with each other before she got amnesia.

I think that Philip actually does love Viola... more>> since who knows when, but either his actions are being misunderstood by Viola or he really had trouble expressing his feelings. So that's what we will be finding out along the way. <<less

PROS :

    • too sweet, I'm gonna get diabetic.
    • The fluff is great.
    • Translation ~ 100
    • The plot is amazing
    • Interaction ~ cute~~
CONS :

    • I feel like the story is Too short I'm gonna miss this. I hope there are some side stories!

It's cute, I guess.

The dense protagonist act kinda got old.

Yes, protagonist was dense, intentionally. And intentionally in-denial due to certain things from her memories of the past, but the dense act dragged on and on and the hidden memories of the past wasn't revealed until the very very end. Thus, the resolution also happened very fast like 3 chapters.

Which is why I would say the pacing was a big off and I'm not a huge fan of misunderstandings lasting for so long... pretty juvenile overall.

Translation was nice.

I can't believe that this was rated so low for what it's worth. I'd give this a 4.5 because the plot is a bit cliche but I'm into it. The translation is really good! And so far my heart strings were plucked with the angst. I also like the FL and ML. This is a promising read if you ask me!

I don't care how silly the story is, Chapter 32 is GOLD.

I agree with the assessment that it's cute fluff. Don't come looking for deep characters or dramatic story or thoughtful plot. This is just some adorable dorks trying to figure out how to have a relationship in whatever convenient setting arises. A nice light story to counteract any serious angsty literature you might be reading.

This story suffers from the five-minute rule: Five minutes of honest conversation would have resolved the plot. All of it.

However! Sometimes you don't want to wade through all the complications brought on by three dimensional characters, and if you're in that kind of mood, where all you want to do is giggle over misunderstandings, awww over the dense ML, and feel pretty good about the story, this is a good read.

With that said, I'm keeping it on my reading list, but I don't think it'll stay there long.

The characters are ok. The plot is ok. But the writing is so bland and boring. After the first few chapters I was so bored that I started skipping things, and by the time I finally got to the end all I could feel was relief that it was over and disappointment at wasting so much of my time.

A good novel needs to either have interesting twists, or have 0 twists but pull off its plot really well. This doesn't really do either. I think it maybe could've been better... more>> if it was longer and gave the characters more time to really charm the reader and grow, but having it longer could've also dragged on and made it even more boring.

I'm putting it at 3 stars because there isn't really anything bad about it, and the blandness could also be considered just a personal taste kind of thing. <<less

It was cute but at the same time kind of boring for my taste. I think it's a great story if you're looking for something to waste your time but if you're looking for a solid story, you won't find it here

Solid 3. It's a good average story with some good fluff and a very soft ML (my fav).

As every other review has said, nothing very deep about the characters or story but it's very cute. There's a few parts that don't quiiiiite make sense but easily overlooked. If you want a relatively quick story that's cute and pretty to the point then I would say this is a good choice.

Side note: Ya'll can pull Rex from my cold dead hands because he's the best character in this whole story. Story... more>> would honestly be lost without him. I demand a Rex-centric side story! <<less

Lovely couple they are, but dense one.

Also, I personally think that the confrontation is badly misplaced. It's placed at the very back of the story, making me feel the misunderstanding events are so long and quite tiring.

However, it still an okay read.

This was REALLY cute and a palate cleanser - ML is IN LOVE with FL for as long as he can remember but every time he gets around her he freezes and can't say anything so she thinks he hates her. There was also an incident in the past where to protect FL, the ML badmouthed her to the school gossip, who still holds a grudge against FL (and honestly I would like to smack her, she's a jerk and the FL is too forgiving).

Rex is DEFINITELY my favorite character... more>> - he is a natural-born poop stirrer and it's HILARIOUS! <<less

I honestly should have known that these types of stuff were not my cup of tea but I guess I underestimated how fast I would get irritated ^^; I'm personally just not a big fan of these type of misunderstandings, the entire time the ML was talking about how they were in love, instead of finding it funny, I just found him irritating. Maybe I'm just used to novels where the main couples properly communicate. I actually do like reading novels with low self esteem MC's and the ML help... more>> the MC's raise their confidence and vice versa so I was tempted to read this novel by brynxyx's review.

So I'm just going to leave a warning, the misunderstanding might be more irritating than funny for those who have a particularly low tolerance for them. Just keep that in mind. <<less

I LOVE IT! It's just full of fluff and not to mention how shameless ML is 🤣🤣. If you want to read something just as a stress reliever or to past times then you are in the right place. Instead of how others said it was boring blah blah blah, I personally enjoy it. Sometimes you should take a break from reading stressful or emotional novels/manga and try something refreshing. Well if you hate lies, tho both of them clearly did in the description so you shouldn't read it or... more>> at least don't take it seriously. That's it. Enjoy. <<less

I enjoyed it. There's nothing much to think about. Not much drama, just a story between two people who were engaged the moment they were born. No characters that would really irk you or make you hate them to the point of wanting to strangle them.

A decent read. Not too short and not too long. Just the right amount. Would recommend if you just want some fluff.

I love this story!!! The ML is so cute and innocent! I can understand how the MC/FL has a misunderstandings about him n their relationship. I love the cousin too, he's the biggest supporter for both ML n FL imo. The only thing im not satisfied is..

As I person that hates lies of any kind thus I may be biased however it could have been 4 stars but what made it 2.5 stars for me is the age old trope "I hurt you or you feelings in order to "protect" you", I would try to cut all my connections to a person if they did that.

The fact that the author made it seem like it was the fault of the shy, inferiority complex, underconfident girl that she believed that her fiancée hated her and did not confront him when she heard the fiancée that is seemingly cold to her no matter how much she tries to talk to him say he hates Viola to her basically love rival as she was bringing him snacks to try for the first time in her life.
