Once Qin JiaShu was buying a sports drink at the store, sure enough, that annoying pest followed over as well. Not surprisingly, that annoying pest snatched away the item that Qin JiaShu wanted to buy in advance and even opened it to take a drink right in front of him.
Qin JiaShu stopped him. Right before they thought he’d teach that annoying as*hole a lesson, Qin JiaShu actually grabbed the already opened sports drink from Wen ZhiChu’s hand, tossed his head back, and started drinking it.
Qin JiaShu: Very sorry, but I’ve already reached happy ending.

This is such a fast paced and enjoyable rom-com. Going into it, I was worried the system may become an issue, as sometimes systems are annoying, but Skycat was actually a funny character. I think that the system was really only there as a character to progress the story, but it was so funny and likable that didn't matter.
Black bellied MLs are my cup of tea. The ML in the novel is a two-faced snake and I love it. It's especially endearing as he becomes his real, happy self with the MC. MC, by the way, is also an amazing character. He's a scaredy cat who somehow finds bravery to do so many things. "Timid but brave" is such a perfect way to describe him. His gentle and kind but strong personality makes him so likeable.
My criticisms are that there isn't much substance. No drama and nothing that's really "deep", so to say. Considering it's a romcom, I think that's fine, but I prefer a darker tone to my romances. I also thought the romance in the MLs part came out of nowhere really. We were 50 chapters in and suddenly ML was like: "Yeah, the MC is attractive". That was a bit disconcerting.
Also, the fact that so many people made fun of or said the MC was incapable of doing certain things because of his stutter was just not it. It's a disability (caused by trauma in this case) and not something to be made fun of. I did not like that.
Aside from that though, I would completely recommend! It wasn't perfect but it was such a fun read. I genuinely laughed so much while reading this.

Here we can see that the author in fact did a great job to shape this ML and MC, they're both high-schooler, I mean even still with the mature attitude that ML shows, he isn't that mature, he's a teenager for sure.
It's comedy is topnotch, I mean we have a great system that would tease our MC, they can bicker/banter endlessly together. Not so deep plot, but loved it, it is great for a fun read, I just loled throughout the story. MC is an idiot and have a hilarious personality, I mean his way of thinking is sure something "Unique". Because of this every bizarre event had became normalized, when you read it, you don't feel forced at all. Even right now, I'm amazed at how he thought throughout the story, it was interesting ;D. ML is also a cute child, I mean I would read those books too, they've make me curious about them!

Comedy in this novel is number 1 for sure, but romance.... not that much...
It was great for having a funny time! I didn't expect more than that, and I was happy with it. It's depend on what you want from this novel.
it's well-earned. ML habitually manipulates and coerces MC, including raping MC when he's drunk and being forceful when he's sober. This is all presented as the ML being somewhat naughty but never treated seriously. For what it's worth, I usually hate this form of the trope but found it palatable here? Ymmv
