Lu Xia ended up transmigrating into the body of a sent-down youth in the 1970s, replacing her older sister who was supposed to go to the countryside.

Thinking about how the original host was mistreated, there was no way she could tolerate it. She sold her job, schemed against them, and then left for the countryside with a sense of satisfaction.

However, it was only upon boarding the vehicle that she realized something shocking – she not only transmigrated but also transmigrated into a novel!

Lu Xia was on the verge of cursing, and at that moment, she also discovered that she was a cannon fodder character. Sitting next to her was another cannon fodder, and across from her were the male lead and female lead…

Since she had come, she had to adapt. Lu Xia couldn’t possibly become cannon fodder, so after going to the countryside, she tried to stay away from the male and female leads and live her own peaceful life.

However, the result was…

This novel is kinda like biography of MC as the story continue until they died, which I dislike personally (like, isn't it enough with a happily ever after?). If you want to read this story a little bit everyday, it might become a relaxing escape from work life, but if you are like me, reading all chapters at once (after the story was completed), it's way too boring. By the end of the story, I read it while thinking "let's just finish this story since I have read this far",... more>> without enjoying it much. I even skip the last four extra chapters.

Overall, I think that there are some many characters that did not have much impact on the plot. I believe it's unnecessary. Also, what's the point of having a space? It existed just to make FL help curing ML illness. I expected FL to use it to develop career in farming business or did other things that could fully use the space, but she didn't. So, why bother add plot about space then, Author? There was not even much thing related to farming besides their duty to farm as educated youth in the earlier part of the story. As someone who love farming story, I become disappointed as I further read this novel. <<less

A good relaxing story to spend time on, without all the unnecessary exaggerating drama in life. Interaction between ML and FL was so sweet that will leave you wishing for more.

Can't believe I managed to finish this novel as it was quite long but truly worth my time! I love the FL and ML and their journey from the 70s to present. It was the epitome of slice of life genre, from youth to old age, with little dumplings adding to the fluff. Thank you so much translator-san and author-san for this gem! Definitely recommended! 🤌

it strated out well, I read until they got into university and move back to the city...

There were many interesting points, the dynamic of the relationship between the main leads was new to me. The development of their love story was nice to see.

There was not much happening with the main leads though, most of what happened was to secondary characters, I don't need an extremely smart or powerful MC but I needed more, I do like reading slice of life but everything seemed to go so easily for the... more>> main leads it was a bit boring and disappointing. I wanted to see more of their hard work and their resourcefulness in dealing with the day to day stuff but it was mostly solved with money and things they got sent by the ML's family so that was anticlimactic. So when they arrived at the city and they already had a house and so much money, inherited from ML's grandmother and given by his family, their 3 years old child being taken care of by others and just needing to go to college and study it was disappointing. Really, watching people get everything served to them in a silver platter is not interesting. At least there was a bit of working done in the countryside. So I will just stop here and leave it at that. It was a more or less good read but I'm not that interested into what happens next. <<less

This novel is very charming.

Our main MC is a transmigrated youth who felt quite ordinary but lucky with lucky finger that as the novel progressed became less mentioned but not meaningless in the slightest.

It has its moments and honesty at times I felt that MC did have her own MC halo with how things settled. But over all it a relaxing read as we read our MC life.

It was such a fun read. Both the MC and ML were endearing. They were so loving, considerate, and endearing. This is one of the very few novels I fortunately read that had just the right combination of romance, adventure, family drama, and, practical endeavors. It's definitely worth reading again since the translation is also superb. It was quite a memorable read.

it's simply stright-foward back-to-70's-transmiggration plus a golden-finger, with common over-use plot..

But..i love the ML here.. haha..

Just because the fl's hobby of gossiping... he so funny.. he himself hv to follow some update news about someone, just to fill up her curiosity... hahaha

A laid back story, just slice of life and feels like, same as FL, just 'eating melon' watching the side story around her, particularly about the supposed 'main FL' of the book she transmigrated.

While FL said the book's FL have protagonist halo, FL also have protagonist halo herself. Her journey was smooth, she met and married a perfect man, fortunately met with people that made her study and investment bigger and bigger, have great children too.

For ML, he is the PERFECT ML that I ever encounter out the c-novel that... more>> I read until now. Have a vast skills, from great background, so understanding and uplift FL.

For the supposed FL of the book, it left me satisfied with her character. Such a rare depiction on c-novel that the original FL is truly nice and independent, and not making s*upid decision.

Such a lighthearted story. <<less

The first 300 chapters where the story revolved around MC’s life in Da Ying village was actually quite enjoyable to read but I felt that the Beijing arc falls extremely flat, especially if you’ve already read Back to the Sixties. There were so many similarities that I couldn’t help but compare them side by side. I found this novel lacking in depth, particularly when it comes to characterization. I oftentimes ask myself which character is which because they were written like one-dimensional individuals who only serve as a background to... more>> what is alarmingly a bare-bones plot. Overall, this novel is okay to pass the time but if you’re looking for something similar with better writing then I recommend reading Back to the Sixties instead. <<less

Wonderful read! Honestly, it was quite hard for me to keep myself immersed in the story, especially past the 400 chapters point, but getting past the wordy part, the story itself is interesting, and the ending was worth it! (For me anyway...) I was a bit disappointed because I am greatly biased towards the protagonist, and considering how the MC had her own golden finger, I also wanted her to become the most OP, but it seemed like her indifference (laziness) towards power and fame won over my wishes. Alas,... more>> you can’t always get what you want in life.
That aside, I do genuinely think this was a wonderful novel. If you are wanting something more... tasteful... intense... uhh... typical... (?) This probably won’t be the novel for you. BUT if you are looking for a novel to just sit down, take your time with, and slowly enjoy then definitely give it a try. The fact I willingly read to the end without skipping a single chapter despite losing interest says a lot... right? <<less

This is not the best out 70s-90s story out there. It's mediocre in terms of its plot, romance, drama, fantasy. It's truly a Slice of Life novel, though. The characters are quite bland. The MC faces absolutely no problem because ML and ML's family are the absolute plot armor.

ML is knowledgeable and good at everything - from childcare, house chores, to art, to academics, and more. MC is not remarkable and she's not particularly good at anything. The best thing about her is her farm space. There's not much written... more>> about raising their child either.

It's not that bad though and it entertained me up to c380 so I will be generous and give it 4 stars. <<less

I think this story is wonderful. Even though there are some things that are not realistic, it tried to present different aspects of life and give value to living a simple, happy and meaningful life.

Nice story. Basically a hardworking mode slice-of-life of a transmigrated girl who ended up in the 70s countryside and tried really hard to live peacefully and avoid all the drama of the book's protagonists.

I can't say that this novel is particularly creative and it has a little too much nationalism for my liking (but it seems that's the norm for novels set in that time period) but luckily, it is a more positive version of it than the usual. More "being proud of the country, wanting to contribute and hoping... more>> for a better future" rather than wishing death and ruin to all foreigners and capitalists, nice.

The MC is the most special character. She's not the typical transmigrator because actually... she has no confidence or desire to win against the protagonist! She didn't even think of it and was quite conscious about her lack of a "protagonist halo" so she easily discarded the usual tropes because she was just an ordinary person and she valued her life. She tried hard to integrate with the time period and make friends.

She didn't want to do business or the like. She just wanted to live well and hopefully "get rich laying down".
Spoiler

In a quite realistic way, she didn't become a boss building a empire on her own. Rather, she made friends, gave them business ideas and invested in their companies, so she could have a quiet career while getting dividends

[collapse]

The family is good. The grandpa and oldest child were kind of bland. ML is very good, I liked him a lot until they came back to the capital. After that, he was just there.
Spoiler

I loved the way he was such a "house husband" ML, so unusual back then. He was so gentle and caring. Then they came back and he was just... responsible and feeling guilty all the time about not being more ambitious, then he changed careers and became a background characters who was constantly busy to keep up with his "successful wife" and who shared family responsibilities with her. Realistic? Yeah. I get the transition of different stages of life and all but he lost the initial boyish charm and folded himself into the typical ML mold as they got older.

[collapse]

Recommended if you are bored and want a peaceful reading. It is nice however it is rather long
Spoiler

from transmigrating into an 18yo girl to her death from old age

Transmigration into 1970s typical story. MC is not the only unique one. Book female protag is also transmigrated, Book second female protag is reborn, and another insignificant person is also transmigrated. MC and book female protag both have space. It’s weird why the need for all those things. Anyway, the story opening is very interesting. MC payback her family by using unexpected means and I love how decisive she is. I love how MC and ML relationship progress and I think actually this story is sufficient to stop after they... more>> got admitted to uni, instead of stretching it till they die. <<less

this is not a bad book, I kinda enjoyed it, making use of other characters to break the fourth wall
Spoiler

beside the MC 1 other transmigrator and 2 returners with memories of their future, also 1 rerturnee has a space too

[collapse]
what is a shame is that the special powers of the MC are used very rarely, they were scarcely used in the beginning but after that they in a sense completely stopped
reading the MC talk about plot armor of the MC of the novel she transmigrated into is kind of funny, reminds me of inception a bit
but all in all it is an overly positive book, MC only ever faces one setback and even that turns into a blessing, hard work and knowledge of the future helps her achieve everything, bad things only happen to others (mainly bad people)
also the amount of twins in this book is insane, nearly every side character has twins, I thought that the special powers of the MC are gonna be the fantasy part of the book but the realism is lost in how everything works out overly well for the MC, also how the family in law of the MC is all nice people with not even a single black sheep, the amount of twins and in the ease with which the companies of the MC succeed
to be honest I really don´t understand how there isn´t a single character who is blaming the leaders of the state for sending them to the countryside as an educated youth, not even those who die / suffer

an other thing is that this feels like it was intended for female readers, too many pregnancies, feelings, descriptions of characters rather than actions, jealousy, plotting

Really enjoyed reading this novel. The MC is reasonable in a lot of the decisions and choices she makes. What I liked the most was definitely the countryside beginning part of the novel. The MC experiences some challenges and setbacks. It's a great slice of life novel to read and very fulfilling as the ending was complete and done well. The pace of the novel itself was great as well!

It's fluffy with clear minded female protoganist who isn't overly goody two shoes, shy or dumb or naive.

She is pretty normal and average that makes her so lovable in my opinion.

ML is totally one of the best CN ml, he isn't disgustingly possessive, domineering or jealous or yandere or insulting tsundere kind, he is sweet towards fl, respectful and distant towards other women, he doesn't attract much bees and butterflies either.

Spoiler

There are no misunderstanding, no forced anything, it is just fluffy 70's novel with alot of melons, I mean this book contains so much side character gossip that the author can write at least 20 different types of transmigration or regression types of novels, lol.

Tho I personally like it when books have side characters and also when they show how these side characters started and then how they ended up, it is just entertaining.

The writing is simple, there isn't emotional outbursts or smut.

Both FL and ML are mature people and their relationship is also mature.

I personally love how FL is grounded and she isn't overly hardworking like other transmigrator she doesn't wanna be the top dog or do whatever those transmigrator do. She is simply living.

Og heroine is that type who works hard and is lucky whatever with alot of confrontations and commotions and our female protoganist just eats melons, hahaha, I love how she likes the gossip but also she doesn't integrate herself in the lives of og heroine&hero.

I would give this a 4 but considering I finished it I’ll let it be. This novel was pretty much exactly what you would expect from the transmigrate into the 70’s with a space type novel for the most part. It was a nice comfy read but my only gripe is that I felt that they focused on side characters too much. I wish they would’ve written more about the FL and. ML and their family. The countryside part of the novel was definitely the best though and deserves the... more>> 5 stars <<less
