The Villains All Fell in Love with Me After Rebirth

Ji Ling transmigrated into the world of a book and has become an 18-year-old aristocrat of the same name in the Interstellar Empire. In order to get another chance at life, he must play his role perfectly, love the Imperial Emperor without second thoughts, and act as an obstacle to the shou. He has to use his own sinister schemes to bring out the shou’s noble perfection.

He worked hard to play his character…

Towards the main lead, Imperial Emperor, love without second thoughts and sacrifice his life for him.

Towards villain number 1, Duke, repay evil with good and get his cooperation in dealing with the main shou.

Towards villain number 2, Marshal, sacrifice himself to help both of them and get his cooperation in dealing with the main shou.

Towards villain number 3, Speaker of the House, give heart and soul to help each other to get his cooperation in dealing with the main shou.

In order to deal with the main character, he used all available resources and gathered all available forces. Every time when the main shou was forced into a wall, he’d “fall short one step” and let himself be mercilessly slapped in the face. In the end, he was turned into a “victim of his own schemes”, becoming the scapegoat of the shou and dying to save the male lead.

Just when he thought he could finally leave and enjoy a good life…

The system said: The world collapsed after you died. Now sending you back to the initial point when you first transmigrated. Please do the mission again. Friendly reminder ~ both male and female villains have been reborn, please work hard and continue your efforts. The plot must be brought back on track. I have high hopes for you!

Ji Ling had to do the mission one more time, just that …

Villain Duke: How could anyone not love such a cute little thing, hiding his soft heart under a pretentious facade?

Villain Marshal: He is not as arrogant and domineering as he looks. In fact, his heart is brighter and kinder than anyone else.

Villain Speaker of the House: You are my faith, my everything. I am forever willing to stand by your feet and clear your obstacles.

Ji Ling: You all shouldn’t love me. I love His Highness. I will always only love him alone!

Male Emperor: What a coincidence, I love you too.

Ji Ling: … I have a sentence ****, and I must say it now.

The translation is top quality. The whole thing is perfectly edited, with no errors to be found.

The only downside I see is from the author's part. The fact that the MC and the only ML who has appeared so far are described physically in ways that just make them seem Mary-Sueish (beautiful eyes, like a fairy, looks regal, etc) had me cringing a little, but that's a pretty common thing in Chinese webnovels where characters tend to all be impossibly beautiful. So yeah, I was not a big fan of... more>> that, but I could easily ignore it.

I MTLed the novel to read ahead and reached chapter 28. So far there's been no decline in quality, so I'm quite happy. I think I can tell which ML our MC will end up with. <<less

First, I'd like to start with what I liked about the novel.

I personally really enjoyed the MC's characterization and found it to be nothing unique but still fun to read about. I thought he was funny and liked how, unlike in other novels, really tried his best to complete the tasks from his system and remain in character. I also really like the MC's parents (not his actual parents) and though it was refreshing to see a pair of doting/loving parents. I've read tons of transmigration/rebirth novels so I'm usually... more>> used to the tropes seen throughout, so I really liked how it was multiple characters which had been rebirthed. It made the stakes higher for the MC and added a sort of tension to the scenes. I thought the villains were interesting in the way they were rebirthed and felt like they owed the MC this huge debt. It was amusing to see how the misunderstandings piled up and how they had recreated this image of the MC.

Moving on to what I disliked.

I disliked how clingy the villains were. Like I understand possessive characters/mls but this was too much! It constantly felt like the MC was constantly being trapped by one of them and it felt suffocating. The MC was literally just trying to go back to his world but the Ml's/villains made it impossible for him to do anything. I didn't like how controlling Carlos especially was.

Spoiler

Like when he literally dragged the MC to a planet even though the MC didn't want to go. He forced MC into a marriage contract with him as well and forced him to go public with it. Yeah the MC first went along with it so that one of the other ML's would back off but when he tried breaking it off, freaking carlos ignored his wishes and told him no. Absoloutley infurating. Don't even get me started on the power imbalance. Or on the fact that before anything else, Carlos was an uncle figure to the MC.

[collapse]

Carlos was my least favorite part of this novel. The rest of the ML's were pretty bad too. Even the actual ML that gets revealed towards the end was annoying and grating to read about. Like the actual ML and MC didn't really have a lot of effort built into their relationship so it felt kinda rushed and forced when the author revealed that last plot line. But by the end of the novel I was just happy the MC wasn't being so controlled. If the Mc's happy then I guess I am too.

Spoiler

About the ending: I was happy MC was able to go back to his world, devastated when carlos and the others had somehow transmigrated into his. I literally quit the book for a few days after finding out about that, but the ending was pretty wholesome. Liked Ji Ling accepted himself and defending the Ml's and his relationship from his family. I thought it was sweet. I don't really want to mention the extras.

[collapse]

Would I recommend it? Not really, but if it sounds like something you'd like then go ahead. <<less

Overall its a good read. Tho the MTL mostly fried my few remaining brain cells.

A common plot with some twist that made it diff from other transmigration with yandere ML (ML's) 😉

Am not sure how to use the spoilers thingy here but everythings been said by other commerters anyway.

Although for some curious soul, unfortunately guys its LIGHTS OFF. Dont know how NU distinguish YAOI from SHOUNEN-AI since its pretty important ingredients in my perspective. 😄😄

This has to be a fanfic turned web novel. 🤣

The amount of clownery, harem tropes, and cliche use of rom-com in this novel was so heavy that I can't take it seriously. Honestly, this novel was a guilty pleasure even though I don't read harem much (except for fanfics).

In short, I loved it. I did skipped a lot of parts because a lot of the sentences were too repetitive, and a lot of the dialogues were mainly more or less only there to create the setting. Overall, I like the... more>> final decision in the end, I felt bad for all the other love interests, and I feel like we needed one more part to the last two extra chapters.

There are a few things that did make me rolled my eyes at, or made me scratch my head. If there was one thing I dislike most, it is the forced romance and the "no homo" tropes. For this story, I was willing to overlook the "no homo" trope because eventually the story redeemed itself by allowing the main character to go through a bit of self discovery and THAT cl**ked well for me because it does take some people a lot longer to realize their true sexuality.

As for the forced romance, there are three of them who I felt did not make enough sense for me and here's why.

Spoiler

Let's first start off with the "main lead" Emperor of the interstellar novel. His reason for falling for the main character was because he regretted not being able to notice just how deep MC's love for him was and only begin to realize it after MC died the first time. While I can understand the "start" of his feelings, it escalated way too fast after they meet again in the second timeline. As the emperor, I expected him to be more wise and less of a lovestruck dumbass because he have so many suitors. Based on the fact that in the first life he was willing to put MC's death to the side just so he can finish off the Villain and even waited to fix the world after the battle before he begin his mourning of the MC didn't match up to how s*upid he became in the second life all for the MC. If the author took a little longer to flesh out his obsession and slowly transition him then I would truly feel sorry for his regret. And also, even if regret was the motivation, I don't think it was enough to make him "fall in love". Considering how he didn't like the MC's spoiled act, he should still discipline the MC accordingly. In other words, the main lead and the emperor should have the same curiosity and exploration of their feelings for the MC, but the ML was the only one who had this adventure while the emperor took a shortcut instead.

The same can also be said about the Marshal and the Speaker of the house. The Marshal's fall was also spontaneous and didn't fit well with his description either. While I prayed hard at the beginning for him to win because he was the only one who truly respected the MC, he did not win. This poor boy was literally introduced, showed up on a couple a scenes and then no longer became relevant except to be known as another member of the harem. He deserved more attention and love. The other part about him is that, same as the emperor, since he is strict on discipline and keeping up with his morals, it was cringey that he lost this part of his character just so he can be forced to simp for the MC immediately after their reunion too.

Another respectful one that probably have the best character development, best redemption storyline, and best exploration of his feelings for the MC is the the Speaker of the House. My god, this dude literally ignites the inner dominant queen in you. He's so obedient that it makes you want to gently step on him just to show him how much you love him. Lol! Jk jk... But for real, even compare to the ML, and I dare say Marshal too, he was the best of them all. He provided true shelter and protection for the MC, he respected the MC's boundaries, and he is super considerate of the MC's thoughts, views, and overall well-being. This is how one should truly try to fix their wrong, not try to bed the MC like all the other reborns. His regret and guilt was more thoroughly explored and processed than any of the other characters, but unfortunately he fell into the "nice guy finish last" with the Marshal. Honestly, once again, why did the two most respectful dudes end up in the background while all the horndogs get the spotlight?! 😮‍💨 The Speaker definitely deserve love and attention too. My only issue was that, again, his fall for the MC does feel forced even though the motivation behind it was simply because the MC was different and secretly nicer/thoughtful than the other nobles. I need a bit more than that. We are talking about a selfish lone wolf man who only cares about himself and doesn't care for anyone else's tragedy here. His fall needs a little more backbone and if the author also spent a little longer on showing how he ended up being willing to include the MC in his world then I think many readers of this novel would agree he absolutely should have won at the end instead. (I demand an extra/fanfic where he is the ML instead!!! Rewrite for timeline 3!!)

The only two who made sense was the ML and the Villain their characters was solid through and through, and it sucks that the ML won in the end.

Okay I read this and had finished this a long time ago since I have the translate version

I gotta say, the Author really did a good job making this story. I am into bl harems but I am kinda picky with that because I wanted an MC who's not always this innocent type boy who is clueless at everything.

Ji Ling is mah fav boy. Unlike any other MC who got inside a novel and then love blossom everywhere as they choose to stay, Ji Ling really wants to get out... more>> lol. He doesn't fall in love easily and that is a very relief for my head, my heart and my mind...

Spoiler

i am so freaking glad Ji Ling chose Ning Yu. Brandon is too bland but glad he moved on, and I am not really rooting for We Yan even tho he a sweet boy to me. Jing Sui only loves Ji Ling cause of guilt like really bro? And Carlos... Oh man I am really terrified of this guy. He's a complete no no for Ji Ling...

The title is pretty deceptive. It's actually the story of MC being a white lotus for the sake of completing his mission, going from one man to another, deceiving them and rejecting their feelings, letting them blacken and ultimately falling for the ML.

Spoiler

The ML is supposedly the shou of the OG plot. So, basically MC is an artist, living in his own portrait and all the MLs in the upper stratum who fall for MC also belong to MC's world. They're famous to certain extents but aren't really personally known by MC. I read this awhile back so I'm not too sure regarding this part but ML is supposedly the 'little uncle' of one of his friends. Their romance comes much later in the plot. To accomplish his mission, MC is always trying to leave a bad impression on ML but in fact, protecting him in secret (it's a pretty unique.. Green tea style of protection by using the other MLs) and ML is probably aware of what he's trying to achieve. The MC also seems pretty M during his interactions with Gabriel, which is the alias used by the ML.

[collapse]

Apart from MC/ML interactions, the other MLs after blackening seem to stray off completely and it just transforms into pure dog blood. The translator actually did a great job by dividing the story in parts because this way at least till certain extent the interest isn't lost. It could have been better if it were shortened to about 30-40 chapters but overall an ok read I guess.

Errr... how should I say this. It was for ok the 1st 40-50chps but then it just dragged on abt dog blood love story, literally the entire novel is just abt them fighting over 1 guy.

This novel is like the novel in the story itself, it's chaos lol.I dunno whether or not it's intentional but at the beginning I feel like the ML could be sum1 else but boy I was so wrong. Either the author changed her mind at the end or she did it to drop the bomb.

a story where shou become gong, as in Ning Yu whos supposed to be the MC ended up as ML lol

The ending was unsatisfactory, well I didn't read the extra chps so mayb it will tie up some loose ends.

Firstly, I anticipated there to be angst, but the reality showed - there is none, it's a full scope fluff (〃・ิ‿・ิ) ゞ

Fortunately, the author's writing style is splendid, and every novel is so nice to be read.

And that's more, it is a harem, rotten me likes it (ꐦ ◠‿◠) but here lies the main minus though - for me, every over relationship's endings are badly plotted - they loved MC, he could at least turned everything in a peaceful way, trying to explain... but he was "terrified" and ran away....... more>> He clearly knew they only loved him, such a hypocrite.

Anyway, it was a good reading that I clearly enjoyed. <<less

I don't really see why all the villains fell in love with him. I can see why they would legitimately feel guilt, but there was no romantic undertones in their previous interactions in the first life, so why all of a sudden, after seeing MC die, did all 4 high spec villains fall for the small cannon fodder MC? For plot reasons of course.

Even 7 chapters in, the original plot has already changed but MC still insists on going with his original script of small villainous cannon fodder. Why, I... more>> don't know. But I was disappointed as MC seemed like s smart and capable guy from the first few chapters, but from this is can be seen that that previous impression was a lie. I read a few spoilers, and feel like MC does not have any agency. He literally gets kidnapped no less than 3 times by the villains who are "in love" with him. While I an aware that sometimes the main character halo is not realistic and they can'd just do whatever the hell they want, I still like it when my main character can work around things.. Using their heads. They brains. Their skills. And getting kidnapped 3+ times by these yandere guys who are in love with you, does not sit that well with me. <<less

Romantic, humorous, and dramatic interstellar novel.

Spoiler

The main character (mc) is bound by a system and was transmigrated into an interstellar novel as Grand Duke's only son. His task was to make sure the Empire's Emperor Jing Sui and civilian-military idol Ning Yu gets married but he fails and is reborn back to the first day he started the task. This time though, 5 of the main and supporting characters get reborn back with him, all of them who feel guilty and love for him. MC's second time around is still tasked to get the two main characters together but obviously, he fails and cries injustice for the characters not following their usual routine.

MC just wants to return home and sticks to the task, he does not respond to any of their feelings inside the novel because he will eventually leave and feels that it will be unfair to them. So MC uses his wit and intelligence to avoid or try to avoid them. Eventually, he goes back to his old world, but surprisingly, all of them follow him. So now, he has to respond to them because there's no way to escape.

I love the up and down drama moments in this novel the best.

the end jing sui end up finding his true love even though I wasn't very fond of in the beginning but I did feel bad for by the end he deserves a hug too same goes for Carlos hope they move on.

And also to be fair first I was rooting for wen Yan and wanted him as the ML and wasn't fond with the idea of ning yu becoming one (nothing against ning yu but I thought MC had a better chemistry with wen Yan than the ml) but later ig it's pretty evident why ning yu was a better choice especially from side chs, like he was the only one who cared about MC in his first life while everyone else needed his death to change

It's been a while since I have done reading this, one thing for sure is the story is so great, a masterpiece, even. First of all, I like how to protagonist acted, he often courts his own downfall though as he believes he has to follow to plot, unfortunately though, other character didn't follow the plot as they should and instead, find MC as charming and pitiful making them have the desire to covet and protect MC.

I mtled this until completion and it's worth the read and effort. It got me in a rollercoaster of emotions feeling sorry for the villains and the emperor and the main character itself.

Good ending and a good choice of male lead, though sometimes I would prefer if this is made into a reverse harem instead. I feel sorry for the other gongs, really!
