Surprisingly good fluff! Although some ending chapters were not properly developed, I found myself smiling through most of it. Liked that the leads gained depth as we went further into the novel. This is what romcom showbiz novels should be like! The translation was also excellent! Thank you!

Wow... I admit I am quite late as compared to the other reviewers atp and I actually finished this novel a couple of weeks back. im not too sure what compelled me to have the impulse to write this review at 12 midnight, but hears what I have to say

this webnovel, I am guilty of being biased. sure, it is a well written piece of work, with amazing plot and really nice characters. but what drew me in weren't these, but the tropes themselves. I mean, arranged marriage? second chancy??... more>> childhood friends??? entertainment industry???? count me in !! either ways, yes this webnovel holds quite a few of my favourite tropes, which may be the reason why its still stuck in my head after quite a number of weeks.

okay back to topic, the overall feeling and premise has a touch of sentimentality, in a good way. we somehow get the opportunities to understand the characters slowly and feel how authentic they are. the way the writer integrates their feelings and emotions and actions into the story to make us immerse ourselves into it is quite impressive.

i would like to continue and state that the key moving force of this story are the ML and fl. admittedly, they are truly an odd pair. hving little to none contact in 2 years added to the difference in their personalities, I wonder how they even lasted on sheer one sided yearning.

our FL is very interesting, shes definitely not the stereotypical bright and sunny fl. instead, she is dramatic. shes fiery, not afraid to speak out, yet she still hides a whole lot of fragility in her. this is where the ML comes in. if I were to describe him in a phrase, it would be quiet-gentle-care. the ML is gentle is more ways than one. he quietly supports the FL when shes down, he lets her lean on him even though he understands that the FL might not evn like him. he is the epitome of gentle love, and the writer really expresses it throughout the entire webnovel. his yearning, his trauma and pain, as readers, we will be slowly pulled in, we will not be able to stop ourselves from caring and empathising with him.

just as @solivagantso said, "I just can't stop being in love with this and it's insanely underrated." I have to agree w them on this one. I too, am in love with the entire premise, from the introduction of the mcs, to the variety show aspects, you will not regret reading this. this webnovel is insanely underrated but it has that potential to become as popular as many others. (the manhua art style is so beautiful, do check it out!!)

this is a story about two NotSoPerfect people, coming together to heal each other's wounds. it is a story about growth, and the feeling of silent yearning. I feel like ive made this webnovel sound too serious, but trust me, it's actually quite lighthearted and definitely not a depressing read!! do check it out! muah💋 <<less

Before starting this novel, I had started the manhua (which is lovely btw. The art is really beautiful; everybody should check it out) so I was already in love with the characters. I am really glad I read the novel because there was a lot left out in the manhua. This was fluff done right; they literally had me kicking my feet by 3 a.m. Every chapter. Though there wasn't much of a plot, they were just so cute. However, it did get a bit cheesy towards the end.... more>> Overall a very cute and light read. <<less

The synopsis is very lacking in conveying the emotions in the story.. I started reading only because of the good rating, although with a doubtful mind. And I wanted to drop it a few times over the first few chapters..

Fortunately I didn't.

It's a story full of subtle emotions and sentiments from the ML, however there was no strong background on his passiveness. FL is a bit tsundere, but not arrogant, love her character more.

... more>> The Weibo comment load was the only drawback - could have been reduced.

It's a hook-up story, will make you lose sleep.. But it's really a heartwarming piece.

Thanks to the author, will wait for more works.

This novel has a slow, sweet plot that will slowly melt your heart through the tumultous and dramatic world of showbiz. I highly recommend giving it a read; the female lead is strong-willed and feisty, showing hints of cuteness and vulnerability throughout the story. The male lead is soft and sweet, with a smooth seductive wickedness that left me breathless and squealing. If you like reading romance novels, this novel is for you.

Im glad I gave it a chance, as much as its very corny and clichè, its sickeningly sweet and the fact that FL is so freaking straightforward while the ML is a typical quiet but intense love type made this a satisfying read no frustrations

Translation was really good and very quick - multiple chapters a day! Felt very spoilt.

The FL and ML are indeed super sweet, not many conflicts and was just a super nice read to see their relationship develop. Annoying characters were resolved quickly.

freaking good!

A proactive MC who is bold, she has tsundere qualities and gets shy at the same time. I love her and the ML's pairing. when it comes to romance this will never disappoint.

the romance is just so unbelievably sweet and the ML is such a little pitiful cutie while being a lovestruck not-so-innocent-in-bed...

i cant believe it was finally fully translated... couldn't help myself and just had to read this once more.... its such a comfort read for me and truly is an enjoyable one.

I just can't stop being in love with this and it's insanely underrated.

Can't believe I'm reading this again... Honestly just confused on why it's not fully translated till now! The plot and it's progression is awesome as ever. Still love all the moments of foreshadowing or the inexplicable hints that all make sense at the end. I love LOVE that the book concentrates on the variety show aspect and can't help but get excited whenever they mess up in front of the cameras and are exposed! XD

GOSH, THE SOCIAL DEATH SCENE DURING HER BIRTHDAY AND WITH HER FAMILY NEVER GETS OLD! It's literally the novel's highlight for me!

I'm so glad that I decided to re-read this cuz I saw it has a manhwa too rn... now that it has a manhwa I wonder if its gonna have a tv show too...

Either way this has got to be one of the most undderated novels here on NU. Iv'e actually seen tr*shy books get more attention! (=_=*)

If MTL is what keeps you away from reading this... Trust me, the mtl is very easy to understand. <<less

I never came close to complete this novel, I don't know why.... I never felt connect with this novel. It might be a great novel for others, but definitely not for me.

Reasons:

Too much of Social media comments

I can hardly get any of the Leads screen time per chapter

There is still no character development for Female lead

I have read many Showbiz novels, and this is my least favorite
