This novel is so good, while reading I dead laughed by comedy moments and cried like a river in emotional scenes. Loved it !

I'm going to read this novel again, so I'm writing this review right now before starting.

Highly recommended to everyone❤️

omg imma be honest here but I did not realize how well developed it was reading it first time around..... I lwokey kinda fell onto the bandwagon that MC/ML romance seemed onesidedly forced, but now I can 100% argue for the side of THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS IN NO WAY ONESIDED-SHEN QING QIU TOO LOVES LUO BING HE WITH ALL HIS HEART. Alrgith now im done screaming, , , , , ,

so. Tis brilliant if I may say. It was honestly so interesting seeing all the characters develop into those... more>> differnt from their "in-game" characters because of MC's kindness and his actions of actively straying as much as possible from the original Shen Qing Qiu.

There was also this super cool critique of web novels and how the authors had to garner towards their readers and write stories that they may not personally have wanted to write, and how that just turned out to be an even bigger disaster, which I thought was a interesting bit of insight... although I still do hav some qualms with how that portion was carried out and felt kinda forced, it was and interestingly fresh perspective I honestly never consciously considered in that way

Also theyre super cuteeeeeeee.... if ya overlook all the angst it took them to get there. In conclusion im definitely gonna be rereading it again and it you enjoy angst with a HE, well-developed characters, a twinge of interesting social commentary, and adorable af fake-puppy-dog type ML Luo Bing he

4.5/5 but skjsks can’t do that sooo....

third chinese novel I ever read after mdzs and tgcf. It’s a nice read, it was the first transmigration novel I ever read so I liked it a lot. it’s a nice read but tbh mdzs and tgcf have more interesting plots and stuff. this is a nice mix of misunderstandings and fluff.
I like the MC well I like all of mxtx’s characters tbh soo ye. ML is like a puppy and rlly cute. gonna be honest tho I find myself imagining more how it’d be like between the og lbh and og sqq like their personalities r much more interesting to me and would be great so the fanfics for that are amazing... ok I’m getting sidetracked skjdksks

well all the characters r nice and they get developed nicely, the side ship is also cute (I forgot if it’s canon or I read too many fanfics since I last read this a yr ago rip)
the ending was kind of meh for me, the story was good and the progress was good but the ending just felt rlly sudden to me kinda like how darling in the franxx in the anime ended like so fast and shockingly weird that it just didn’t feel right. I mean tho compared to darling in the franxx thus ending was a lot better lolol. And it’s not that the ending was bad but it just doesn’t feel as pleasurable as mdzs and tgcf. However this novel is like around 90 chapters while mdzs had 100+ and tgcf had 200+ so yea.
I like how the side characters are also rlly love able and remember able so ye :3

Subjectively, this is really my favorite danmei of all time. Like I just can’t deny my love for LBH and SQQ though let’s be honest here, their love was kinda toxic. I don’t want to spoil so much so that’s it. Story wise, it’s okay and entertaining. The characters are well rounded and not just there just to fill up the story. All of them have roles and setting that complements the whole story. The flow of the story is also quite good and doesn’t feel scattered for me.... more>> Overall, I really enjoy it though I know that a lot more transmigration stories that are more well written than SVSS. Still it’s on my most favorite danmei of all time and nothing can change it. <<less

I like the story, but tbh, I agree to some people here who rate it 1-2 stars, I can feel SY sometimes reluctant that make me wonder if he didn't love LBH since I also didn't get how SY finally love LBH, but I still find their romance is my taste so I don't really think about it. I still find this story enjoyable and so I give it 5 stars.

You may think I’m crazy, which could possibly be true, but I already read this novel over 10 times and I don’t seem to get bored at all. MC is VERY funny and ML is such a cute little flower. Ahh. This story really captured my heart.

This is book is actually the second BL novel that I have read, after Mo Dao Zu Shi. It was really refreshing and I also love how light-hearted this book is. Although a lot of people would compare this couple to Wangxian and Hualian, I think that Bingqiu is sweet and romantic in some aspects. I understand that their romance only started in the latter parts of the story because of the misunderstanding between the main couple.

The plot is also good since we get to have drama, action, and comedy.... more>> Imagine how tragic this story would be if it was told in Binghe's (ML) perspective. <<less

I read this a while back and just realized that I never gave it a review lol. So I really enjoyed this novel especially since it was my first yaoi novel with a system involved. The plot was very interesting. However, the ML and MC dont really show the chemistry between them mush. I feel like the romance is non existence... The plot was good just the lack of romance left me disappointed.

This is MXTX first novel and if you've read her other works (which most of you if not all prolly knew and had read) : GDC and HOB, you can tell how much MXTX improved as a writer. And this is just my way of saying that MXTX works gets better than the first one. The plot can be common and overused but what makes the story great is how the characters connect no matter how small their part is in the novel.

If I am to say what I find... more>> unsatisfactory in this novel is that I find the relationship between Shen Qingqui and Lou Binghe are yet to be matured and it didn't convinced me enough. Had it been longer maybe I'll see it then, but that's just my opinion. BUT, the extras do make up for it. It's where I finally saw them as actual cp and I liked the bing-ge and bing-mei part.

I definitely liked the extras better. But extras are different from the main parts; they are a part of it but they are not actually in it. It's more like a canonized fan service or something like a sneak peek from behind the scenes.

The plot is common but that's also okay. I've always liked master-disciple relationship, transmigration, rebirth - the typical stuff. It's always a good source for misunderstanding and comedic relief. And I loved airplane bro and mo beijun so much, even MXTX shipped them so why not make a short sequel about them rather than an extra (is what I thought). They are also a canon and their parts are few, fanfics are not enough for me and most of them are angsty I don't wanna cry anymore give me papapa and comedic relief!

Since this novel is currently being re-translated. I am also re-reading it again with the new translated version. Maybe it gets even better on the second read and maybe I'll get enlightened on certain parts I missed on the first one. <<less

I like it until the Arc where ML was faced with his father I guess, it turned downhill from there (for me).

What I love about this novel was when he died and transferred to a new vessel, it was really a great part of the novel, got me extra excited to read more. Especially when MLs obsessed self was being ten times more obsessed with his " last body"

Honestly, if I were rating this as a romance novel, I’d of given this like a 3, but I like to think of this as more of a comedy with bl aspects which is why I gave it a 4 instead. This is MXTX’s first novel so I think it’s a lot simpler than be newer ones but I think this is a classic and definitely worth trying.

I thought this novel is really funny, it’s a little slow in the beginning but towards the middle it gets a lot funnier... more>>

Once Bing-ge (ML) falls into the abyss (that’s kinda a spoiler but like he talks about how that event is inevitable a lot before it actually happens) we meet airplane shooting toward the sky who is a really funny character, I love him (he’s the author of the book!)

The MC is one of my favorites, I really sympathize others him. his actions all made sense and he was very practical. I got a little frustrated with how dense he is but to be fair bing-ge (ML) s not good at expressing his feelings at all, so I totally sympathize with MC. Bing-ge is really funny (he’s very dumb and like a puppy which I love. He gets a little scary in the middle but he eventually goes back to cute)

I saw another review that described their relationship as more like adopting a stay puppy which I agree with, that’s very true.

Also, there is an nsfw scene.

The consent is (questionable?), I mean he does technically consent but he also didn’t really have a choice..... the nsfw in the extra is a lot better in that aspect (MC is the one who suggests it if I remember correctly)

i'll be honest, since it was the first transmigration novel that i've read, I find it quite hard to follow along at some parts and that affects how I appreciate the whole story but still love it in the end. I also agree with some points of the reviews already posted here - there are some parts that could be really improved further. As for me, I was kinda hoping to see more of sqq's affection towards lbh at some point, like wherein he would give it himself first or... more>> initiate it without lbh asking for it every single time, but yes, I was satisfied with how the plot unfold most specially the part in which bingmei and bingge are both present, that was the thing that I'm hoping to get from sqq, that arc showed he truly cared for him. Also, really love moshang pairing as well a lot. <<less

I definitely liked the other novels by MXTX better. This one felt a little rushed and I wasn't able to really attach myself to the characters. The idea was pretty interesting considering it's a modern day person fixing plot holes in a stallion novel. However, I couldnt fully sympathize with the character development and relationship between the main leads. It was fun and interesting to read, but I was expecting more because I love MXTX's other novels (Tian Guan Ci Fu and Mo Dao Zi Shi).

Good translation and good story but I wasn't really into it. I'm usually OCD and almost never skip read but aside from taking too many days to read (when I can finish 300+exciting chapters in 2days) while skipping a few chapters in the way, the extra chapters bored me. I think the average rate is more due to the extras. Most of them, the MCs didn't even appear and when they do it's more cry baby.

Maybe I'm just not used to a cry baby gong. ?

my fav from the extras was when Luo Binghe (ML) from the real novel comes there and replaces the ML from this world for a day and then has to return honestly I'd prefer to have had seen another appearance from the Luo Binghe from the original novel although it was funny when the original Luo Binghe tells the ML that his bed skill probably suck (think he said that, I read it a long time ago so I don't remember much

I love this novel so much. It has a likable and understandable MC and ml, interesting side characters and a great plot. The comedy was gold at some parts, but despite of that it's a very deep and tragic story. Poor ML T_T

The best thing about this novel is the fact that the male lead is supposed to have a harem of beautiful ladies but he couldn't care less about all that, only has eyes for our protagonist. The MC has trouble coming to terms with that lol

Great story! The MC is kind of a tsundere like character, he made many mistakes but you can't help but like him a lot. I see a few people say that they didn't see romance between him and the ML but honestly those people weren't really paying attention. The romance is slow burn and they didn't officially become a couple till the end. The extras are all amazing. I just wish it was longer
