After an explosion, You XiaoMo finds that he is now a probationary disciple of the TianXin sect. I am quite disappointed with this novel. It's not bad but it's not that good either. I'm mostly write about what I feel disappointing in the novel><. My review may upset some of the readers but whatever. This is my first time writing review on this websites ><.

#1. Firstly, lemme just talk about characters. MC is a wimp at first but ofc, there's a development (?). I still don't like it but at the same time, I like it. It's like 50/50. There's some part where he kinda like a dog who follows ML order and it gets worse everytime especially when ML is h*rny. MC sometimes can never say "no" because ML will forced him anyway and everytime it happened, it almost felt like it's non-consensual s3x. Although MC felt good in the end, it doesn't mean he likes being forced. The things I like, MC gets stronger everyday and a determined person. MC has a sharp tongue when he's talking with enemies/friends BUT definitely not sharp enough against ML (because he's f**king scared with him) and against his contract beast. He gets to do what he wanted to do and that's good BUT sometimes he's like vulnerable with ML. It's still pisses me off.
#2 ML. Fuhh, there is soooo many things I don't like about him. Everytime in my head just like, "Look, I know you're powerful, handsome and all that but can you stop belittle MC's iq?" I know he's saying that to teased MC but the more he belittled MC, the more I can't stand him. And "can you not being h**ny all the time and forced your lover to do it even when he rejected it so many times?" I can't count how many times MC being forced to have s#x and rejecting but I can count how many times ML listens to MC and not doing it. There's some things I like, like ML can be cute sometimes... :) I like how he sometimes respect MC, being gentle with him, play along with him and help his wifeee. Anddd he's being aware of his own limit in knowledge despite being alive for sooo many years and humble, not showing off his own power all the time.

OKAYYY now what I don't like the most is that..... side characters like MC's friends and masters never had a chance to be in a spotlight. Like, I want to know what they're doing while MC and ML's on a 'mission'. This book is REALLY focusing sooo much on MC, ML and a little bit of their enemies especially if there's scheming part (mostly). Most of MC's and ML's 'activities' is REPETITIVE. S#x, making trouble, go out again for a 'mission', stays in academy's place for a day before going out again, harvesting and many more. Before I started reading this, I highkey thought that every side character gets a spotlight BUT NO.

So, in my opinion, this book doesn't deserved to have 700+ chapters if the storyline is the same. And sometimes, I just feel like there is some part missing (?) though idk what it is. I don't hate this novel, it realllly has some potential but I think the author just... aiya...
I have soo many things to say but I don't know how to describe it. Maybe i'll update this comment once i've finish reading all the chapter *sigh* . Honestly, because I want to know what happen at the end of the stories, I keep reading it despite how disappointing this novel is. I've read soo many historical novels (not just chinese novel) but this is not the first time i've read something like this. <<less

i set this novel as a standard for most the of the cultivation novel with shou MC that I have read......

it never gets old and I had read this multiple times and never once stop till the end......

though some plots are quite repetitive it was okay as I said this is a classic cultivation novel with good novel development....

leads and You xiamo's Qui team. I love this laidback type of writing and op leads, with not much angst just fun and witty banters, Though it may not have made me cry like mxtx works, I surely had some good laughs throughout reading it. It had great world building, the world the author had created through description is so fascinating. My only qualms with it is that I wanted them to explore Momo's past family, not just a snippet at the end.

I made an account just to review this. I really enjoyed this book so I wanted to leave a review putting out my perspective. A lot of ppl say the romance is bad and its super toxic and stuff. There are some bad points but there are also some good points. The ML did explore his feelings after meeting the MC over a few chapters so you can where and why he started to like the MC. He also did clearly ask the MC if he liked what they were... more>> doing and said he would not do it anymore if he didn't like it. Also, the papapa itself is badly done in realistic aspects (no lube, MC can't move after, etc.) But my assumption is this has to do with his body changes in realtion to drinking and bathing in the lake water. It is also shown that he does enjoy relations the ML and he also likes him from when he has initiated papapa, his attraction to him, and him fending off women/ getting jealous.

There are other problematic aspects such as the jealousy, name calling issues and all the females being horrible, but its understandable. The MC and ML are morally gray characters, they can hurt whoever for whatever reason with no issue and they mainly only care about the other person, plus a few other family/ friends. Also the ML doesn't know the MC has transmigrated so irs understandable he would think he was dumb, although he shouldn't say that.

Lastly, as for the 'portraying the gay couple with one in a womanly manner' thing, idk. I can't really speak on that but I know that's problematic as well. I know it might be partly because he's supposed to be weak, the lake water also makes some of those 'womanly' features, and it contrats with the MC wanting to be 'manly'. Not saying its okay but it guess thats better than doing it without some form of reason.

Overall I did enjoy this because there was no drama between the couple (I hate love Triangles), they did complement each other well, and the story seemed to progress smoothly and had a more realistic approach when meeting other villains later on. <<less

even though this story has many chapters, I can finish this story (even without dropping it in the middle)

the story is good, I enjoyed it and didn't bore you while reading it (maybe there are some flaws in this story but since I read it a long time ago I forgot about it)

I thought this was a really fun & lighthearted read. The main couple is a typical strong seme versus quiet uke but I enjoy this troupe so it did not bother me. I actually really like the MC and he isn't weak IMO. Although he isn't as confident about his decisions and knowledge in the beginning, towards the end, you can tell that he outgrew his insecurities. He doesn't mind being in the shadow, but the ML/seme would have never succeeded without the MC's help. As for the ML/seme, he... more>> started out as a confident loner who believes he doesn't need anyone's help. Towards the end, he was facilitating team works, alliances, and bringing people together (+understood the value of meaningful relationships). I thought it was subtle but very warm to see.

For a story with 700+ chapters, it was an enjoyable read. I would highly recommend it. <<less

Im not a good critique so this one would be simple.

It was boring. Ive read alot of novels and this one wouldn't even compare with MDZS and banished to another world in everyway from story plot, character dev to world building. The events seem repetitive, all characters is disposable material that could be forgoten including the protagonist that appears duller as you go forward in the story. There might be world building but it still lacks in some ways. I actually ignored this one for a long time ago tho... more>> still given it a chance considering its length of 700+ chapters should bring about alot of interesting stuff but no.

But still you can still go give it a try. Since different people have different tastes. And it might just be me not prefering it that way.

Ps. I rated it 3 stars for the authors effort and the translators good work. Mentioning cause I cant change the ratings above for some reason <<less

One of my favourite novels, beautifully written, excellent word building, and compelling plot. If you like transmigration, fantasy, a cute MC, and an overbearing ML this is for you. I just wish there was more!

The world is divided into different 'realms', so when our MC transmigrates he moves from a 'lower realm' to a 'higher realm' (not that he knows that). Our couple go back to MC home world as a sort of 'extra' story, but not much happens there, and I wish I could have seen more!

Rating: 5/5- I will re-read this novel into my golden years.

This journey was one I wanted to be on until the end. The exaggeration, the golden finger, the naivety, the face slapping.

This is not a serious novel all round, it’s adventurous, comedic and cute. Irrespective of other opinions, my own is that I loved the MC and ML and their entire gang of people. The battles they fought, the rise to riches and having all the super cool tools and dimensions really made me enjoy this. I think you get... more>> novels that forthrightly support the rise of the MCs and you get some that portray the struggles of the MC. This is not the latter type and I loved that about it. I stayed absorbed as soon as MC found his new path and I was only happier and happier as I journeyed to the end.

My biggest wish was to have the 9 Headed Serpent Beast’s son and himself more present in this novel, but otherwise, every other indulgent plot point and character of mine, was greatly satisfied. <<less

i finally did it, I finished this son of a biats.

if you are ready for a long LONG but still easy read, this is the story for you!

the writer of this novel has a galaxy brain. Why and HOW does one write something this long AND filled with details? Everything in this has a grade and this are separeted to many different classes. Why? No clue, but it was fun for me to read.

the relationship had a yikes vibe to it for a while FOR ME, so I had to... more>> take a break BUT it gets better?? Or you get more used to it or you just learn more about the characters.. But it does take you foreeever to get there so if you don't like nasty couples, maybe skip this one? I don't really know, I'm kinda sensitive to these kind of stuff.

R18 stuff? Damn the beginning (aka. The first fricking 300 chapters) did not shy with the wooohooing. If you are only looking for a 🍑🍆🍑🍆 read 713 CHAPTERS ARE NOT WORTH IT. You have to be in it for the story. Especially since in the later chapters it kinda calms down. Also!! If you want to read a story without R18 stuff you can skip those in this novel and not really miss anything on the actual storyline! Just notice that there is no warning for those kind of chapters, so you just have to sensor your reading yourself

the ending was okay and good. I have read some awful anticlimatic endings and I was really scared that this would end up being one of those, but I was happily surprised. No it's not the "best" ending there could be, but it was well built enough!

sorry english isn't my first language and I'm too tired to proof read this BUT I really liked this. What this story lacks in depth, plot twists and new ideas, it makes up in the huuuuge world building, funny characters and hundred well places mini stories amongst the main characters journey.

i recommend!

PS. Drinking game idea! (Spoilers-ish) everytime iq is mentioned, you xiaomo speaks too loud accidentaly, main characters "happen to arrive just in time", they join a new school, there are tests/competions, you xiaomo gets a new contract beast, said beasts complain about their names, bad guy says "since you ask for it, i'll give you death", main couple change face/names etc. <<less

Out of all the novels I've read so far, this is my favorite! The reason is because you will never get bored and that is because there are so many settings in the story (all linked together). The MC and ML are loveable character. This story has humor, action, and mystery in it.

Definitely worth the read!

  2. MC and ML dynamics and interactions are just THE BEST!
  3. MC is a little slow in thinking and forming conclusions. He is a simple person who just loves money, good food and ML. He is also an overpowered, crazy talented mage who is always forgotten due to his even more OP hubby. He treasures relationships dearly and will repay anyone who is good to him 100000x (to ML's unhappiness as it always makes him jelly of how good MC treats some other ppl). ML becomes the centre of his universe, even if its not explicitly stated.
  4. ML is a wife loving hubby. He loves to bully MC 24/7 but at the same time, he treats MC's life, happiness and safety more important than his own. He is super partial to MC and is a all in one pacakage (heaven defyingly handsome-powerful-smart as heck-expert face slapper). All sorts of flies can try their luck but he has 0 interest in them (He doesnt even look at most of them. Most end up being badly burnt, both figuratively and literally, or straight up killed.) MC becomes his life, heart and soul very early into the novel.

    ML is 24/7 in heat for MC. Just a look or a touch can get him in the mood... probably cuz he is a beast haha... Ever since the first time in Chap 203, they do it pretty often, later on for dual cultivation so even more... Boss's appetite is endless!

    Don't be freaked out by the number of chapters, you will instead mourn there isn't more chapters after you start. The whole novel was a joy to read that cracks me up pretty often at MC's cuteness/s*upidity or ML's wit/scarasm/overprotectiveness. Enjoy!

Going back to give this a reviewwww DEFINITELY WORTH reading!!!! One of the best danmei Transmigration~ we have our Cutie MC -he have his own strengths and wants to be stronger. Our ML yeah his overbearing but he's also protective and dotes on our MC.

I just finished this awesome catch. I recommend this to those who loves a devilish-handsome-powerful-ML, who has a carefree nature (?). I really love this kind of ML which made me love him more, he also love our dearest MC so much. Their interaction, trust, devotion and love is boundless. And aaAAAAH can't say more, just read this guys. I absolutely love this novel! It is definitely one of it own kind. I felt like reading a long novel and wasn’t sure if this was good, but mark my words, you will NOT regret reading this :))

the male lead is absolute husband quality. I mean he started doting on the MC from the start and literally does everything in accordance to the mc/with the MC in his mind. He love to to stick himself closely to MC and it’s so cuteee.

The MC is so freaking adorable. His personality... more>> is just right not too s*upid/dense and not overly clever which really adds to his charm. His reactions to his interactions with the male lead is to die for. Plus the MC has a sharp tongue when you mess with him. I literally laughed at how he was able to talk smack talk back and shut the other side speechless

this novel made me want to keep reading and everything about the MC and ML relation is an absolute gem! If you like BL this is the one to go~

translation was amazing! I saw that people had a problem and I know it’s hard to translate when the translator is not fluent. I did not have a problem at all when reading and very much enjoyed this novel so far. Keep of the good work translators!!! And thank you! <<less

I CANNOT STRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS NOVEL.

I normally only read short novels but I ended up reading this one that was a bit on the longer side and I will never regret that choice. MC is really innocent in the beginning but slowly ML begins to corrupt him. Throughout the novel, MC never fully loses his innocence but rather his innocence is tempered by his experiences. He doesn't become the type of MC that is untrusting of anyone other than ML. He maintains his silliness/adorableness and is a... more>> breath of fresh air.

ML only sees MC as a source of amus**ent until he genuinely falls in love with him. He plays the part of MC's teacher, guardian and significant other.

They are very loving and like to scatter dog food 🐶.

The novel is sweet, suspenseful, comedic and adorable with just the right amount of smut to leave a person begging for more. <<less

I'm new to the novel world (especially Chinese LN) so I got intrested and understand the cultivation part of china especially when LN has a lot of Cultivation plot.

This was my second chinese LN that I read and of course I got invested with this one. The MC was very adorable and the Male Lead was, shockingly, who I didn't expect because I was betting on either someone else. I really love the two and their adventures together in raising each other's cultivation level.

I love their chemistry, their like the... more>> polar opposite of each other but still got together. Honestly, their very cute together but there's something I wanna say about the Male Lead, his overall good but

I was very disappointed at some part where he keeps degrading XiaMo and I understand that some couples are also like that and I might be over sensitive? But sometimes, tone down the harsh words Ling Xiao.

Also, with their first time, Ling Xiao was very rough on our Baby and I was sad about it.
