the story is good! I can give it 4, 5 stars for this.

perhaps the story of transmigration and reborn story had become a common theme. But this novel is fresh enough to read. It tells about a Gong MC, his life end up in tragic way after competing with the transmigrator. Then he know that He just a supporting Chara in the book and suddenly the reborn thingy give him a chance to prevent his tragic life and death. Here the transmigration person (villain) is a vulgar annoying person like the main character in isekai comics with a thousand women in his hareem and his shit-luck. So the MC use the various ways to make the villain unable to interfere with his life. But like c*ckroaches, the villain is not easily eradicated. So the MC have to be smart calculate him.

I like the way MC handle the villain, he isn't that OP person but he handle the problem very well. And the shou ML Charachter is calm. I Can't say it too much, but If you like smart boyish protagonist, revenge, and face slapping story, but still have some sweet thing maybe you'll find it interesting. <<less

MC and ML is not OP..

This looks like solving the aftermath rather than counterattack..

MC doesn't make a move to face slap the villain with a big facade. MC was like a small candle and the people around the villain is like a gasoline. With just a small fire the villain will be burned to crisp.

Luck is always on the villain side that MC sometimes only achieve half merit of its own plan against the villain. It really takes time, patience and effort to bring down the antagonist. Because as I... more>> said MC and ML is not OP...

As for the Villain, He is very greedy. There are times that he was "like" a good man but after a minute this good thoughts of his vanished immediately. Its like money and power is consuming him faster than anything else...

I just don't understand as someone who always stuck in his house watching movies and so on after he transmigrate he was like 'I'm the top of the world'., ??... He's good at fighting ?? and really has a big mouth criticizing people here and there??? He was not even cautious. He was a small fly that cannot touch.

Maybe because I read Mtl and miss that aside from luck the antagonist transmigrated and know how the story flow??? that is why he knows many people and form connection with them???? and used them as he wants???

Well anyways, My best character here is the ML and Wei An? I forgot her name.. the one who married the Li father... also the one who was criticize by the villain... <<less

I love this story. Haha 😆😆

This is SOOOOO realistic and not many plot holes. I can understand the cause-effects cause the author explain it thoroughly.

The relationship of MC and ML is so sweet. So understanding and I love how clingy the MC to ML. 😁 I read this in Chinese website cause there is no MTL 😔 but I will definitely read this again when the translation is completed 😘😘

Edit: read for n-th time and HT is still the most stuck up character I have ever read. The degree of shamelessness is on a whole another level almost compare to N*tanyahu.

2.5 stars. I've read a few novels from this author and I usually really like their stuff, but this one was a chore for me to finish.

The MC is rebirthed and read the novel his life as a villain is based on, he should have a big cheat right? No he struggles and let's the original MC get ahead a lot, the authors explination is that the original MC has good luck.... no the MC just doesn't use his knowledge well. He is too focused on acting/directing/investing everywhere to accurately... more>> deal with original MC once and for all. The last 1/4 of the book is the face slapping, but by then I just didn't care much.

His romance with ML was okay, read more like an outline or overview of their relationship. I was hoping for a bit more chasing and wooing since he was such scum the first time around. The fluffy romance parts were too few.

Side characters where meh. MC's family drama got tiring quickly. The mom is an idiot wallowing in self pity and the dad is selfish scum.

In the end I didn't like any of the characters. MC was meh and almost unlikable in some parts. ML had no presence and the side characters were 1 dimensional.

The extras bored me too, the only one I liked was the

rebirth story of HT's first girlfriend and it is at chapter 85, which is before the main story was over, so it flowed weird.

The romantic one with ML wasn't romantic, just MC being pointlessly jealous and clingy.

The child extra one made the MC seem immature and who borrows a child from an orphanage to see if they like children. If they had adopted the little boy I would have been all for it

The one with the original owner of the body of HT was an interesting idea and I enjoyed it until he is gets the otaku's body but in his original world and unites with the other spurned and takes down HT. Mind you this was the original novel so our MC is dead, so I had not attachment to this book world

This novel frustrates me, I've read the authors other works and like most of them and even the 1 I didn't really like, I could still appreciate the story. This one could have been so much more.

Some things to nitpick on, the USA parts were mostly ok, not racist like some other authors.

The language use was weird "yellow people" "white people" maybe it was the translation since it was MTL, but this is the first MTL'd novel that had it like this. I live in America and no one calls Asians "yellow" unless their racist a**holes and there is more than white people in America. Also not a very senic drive from L.A. to L.V. it's desert, a boring drive and only a 4 hour drive, so not sure how they took 3 days to get there. Also, If you pull over on the side of the road to sleep and have smexy time, a cop will come. Sleep at a rest area sure, but not randomly on the side of the road 😂 these probably bugged me more than normal just because the book frustrated me

Honestly kind of meh? I gave it four stars since I finished it but my feeling is more neutral (3). If you're here for fluffiness or romance i'd probably skip this tbh. The MC (the top in this book - yes get yer seme/gong MC haha) is literally a spinning top for most of the novel. He's so busy making sure his career is great and that han tian and his pose dont bother his that the author kind of just provides yan rui as a side. Dont get me... more>> wrong, there are sweet moments between them but I didnt really find myself that invested in them since I felt like it was just there, like an extra chapter feel. Probably because yan rui just goes along with the MC since he already loved him for a long time. He was more of a side character than a main character. This book is alright for people who enjoy face slapping and seeing villains get their karma, and also for people who like to see some entertainment industry elements. Moral of the story is to not spoil people cause theyll end up like the poor dumb dumbs in han tian's harem haha <<less

It was pretty good for 90 chapters and the absolute face slapping was hella good. They got together pretty early but its justified since they went through so much in their last life.

It's a nice sweet novel suitable for a quick read.

Complain ahead :
The last few chapter that I have read suck so much (and some early event), that I give 2 star for this novel because :

the antagonist was r*ped by a man while being straight, his rapist was under the effet of an aphrodisiac (that a bullsh*t reason but anyways), he was drugged by the minions of the antagonist because he wouldn't f*ck some woman (wtf??).
What disgust me, was the victim shaming that the antagonist suffer after that, because he was r*ped but it was his minions that drugged the gay guy, for the police that means he was willing to be f*cked and that he was the rapist.

Nobody deserve to be r*ped even the antagonist who his a piece of sh*t who r*ped his pregnant wife for "taming her" and victim shaming her, because she didn't know it was him the rapist.
I thought in the start of this arc that he will discover that he like guys and stop being a piece of sh*t and have a happy ending BUT NO (that on me, I shouldn't have hope for Chinese author).

Story of the MC 3.5/5
The story of the MC was interesting, pretty likelihood. The MC knowledge who came from the book with the antagonist as MC and his past was useful but not op, he was not an all-knowing MC, but he was strong enough to never truly lose (I don't like when MC never fail or lose or just have to make concession).

Relationship MC/ML 3/5
The start of their romantic relationship suck, very strange and very Not likelihood but after that it was good, even if they have few interaction except when it was a passage in their relation like :

The majority of the side character remain constant with how they was introduce and when they change it his logical.

This was a great ride! So many ups and downs and dog-blood plot but I enjoyed it immensely.

MC is a deep and scheming person, he is very patient and wouldn't show his hands casually to his enemy, but once he did, it really made people afraid of him. It got to the point that people actually thought he was the mastermind of some heavy stuff when he's just enjoying his life and had nothing to do with it lol.

Would definitely recommend this! Also those 3 people giving it a 1... more>> star now makes me sure that there's really a bunch of homophobes out there giving bad ratings on purpose to drag down the rating. <<less

I already read this one long ago and just found out that it was written by author I like very much so I'm leaving review.

It's a good one with interesting MC. The thing I like the most about this author interesting storyline and plot twists and, of course, face slapping. Oh and MCs in this author's novels are always top and it's refreshing to read MC as top. 5 stars.

The plot is pretty interesting. I think this is the first time I've seen an entertainment industry story with underworld themes. The story feels like it's a step away from being a detective mystery drama set in the entertainment industry. It somewhat gets into his past as more than just a sad backstory, it talks about his experience having grown up outside the country with his grandparents, unable to really relate with others and essentially not having any parents. A big focus in the first half is on his hunt... more>> for the truth of his past and who his mother is.

The acting stuff is more realistic, although acting skill is still important, everyone is more concerned about the box office than about art. There's no "oh, the enemy's movie earned more but MC acted better" plots, and one of the movies MC acts and directs in (and becomes a hit) is a comedy. There's some real consequences (like the pregnancy of MC's ex) and there's always reasons for the things that happen. The cast is wide, and the latter half's plot is driven by everyone else's interactions with each other.

This also isn't like one of those novels where the OMC is supposed to be really OP but easily gets opressed by the MC. MC is truly a side character with limited means, and the OMC (despite being a scumbag) still has a protagonist halo and it's really hard to deal with him! There's even moments where MC pushes himself too far or gets too confident and he gets slapped in the face by the protag halo. It makes for a really good read where you stay engaged the entire time, with a good balance of frustrating moments where the MC fails, and satisfying moments where the MC succeeds in getting one over the OMC.

However, the problem with some shou protag books is unreasonably obsessive and controlling MLs; the problem with some gong protag books is boring MLs that have no personality. This has that problem. There are some fun moments, but ML is a very bland character that seems more fitting as a cannon fodder. It feels like a second thought that was just added so it could have the danmei tag.

Due to personal reasons, I really don't like the situation with MC's parents, however I appreciate that it's portrayed as a complicated issue. The father isn't great but he wasn't abusive, so even though they become friendly later on MC still holds him at arm's length and doesn't consider him much. Although reasons are given for the mother's actions, the story doesn't forgive her for how she has hurt MC, and in the end he's allowed by the story to cut her out of his life and the mother just has to accept the consequences of her choices. But more importantly, the MC who is the innocent party that has been hurt the most by them is able to have a happy fulfilling life with someone who loves him.

This is good. MC is not OP. He workedvery hard learning skills even if he knew the plot and future. And he can use his brain making trap for villain. In comparison, hantian as a transmigrator only want instant result and was so haughty, so ruthless like many MC in chinese light novel. So even if he knew plot he cant use it fully for his advantage.

The MC also isnt usual cold ruthless with facial paralysis or gentle, innocent weak gary sue. He's manly and can act according the situation.... more>> <<less

Coming into this novel, I should mention that this novel has elements of gang-related activities. So unlike other entertainment novels, this novel doesn't shy away from violence and some scummy behaviors. Bad people are rewarded, and not everyone sees the same things.

While I do find some elements of this novel interesting (related to how the MC can one-up the villain) -- this novel reads like a badly written play. Most of the things are very surface level, there's not alot of depth or delicate touch put into showing more details.... more>> The set up is blurry, certain things are too messy and rushed. I couldn't appreciate it fully, but I think some people might not care so much about it and it's very subjective from person to person!

What I do enjoy about this novel is that the villain has the advantage lots of times - which is interesting! Especially in tropes of rebirth in the entertainment industry. Even when the MC tries his best, he can barely get the best of the villain which makes it fun to keep reading. The logic is there, out-smarting each other is there. It's fun to watch, I feel like alot of people might enjoy this! <<less

This is a Revenge Second Chance story where MC and ML are NOT an OP character. But MC would try his best to get his Revenge in not Impulsive way.

The Villain though. Truly Evil. Impulsive. But unfortunately has Good Luck. And actually has Brain.

So this story is not a Smooth Sailing Revenge novel. But it wasn't bad nor Angsty either. It barely has big problem or worrying scene.

MC himself also while desire for Revenge, didn't actually do anything until the Villain started it first. Which the Villain ALWAYS START FIRST.... more>> So it's more like Counterattack story with desire for Revenge.

And it was GREAT!

Sure it's not a Perfect novel. And I read it on MTL version, so I might missed few details. But it wasn't bad MTL, so most plot are Readable and easy to understand.

No one is Perfect. Except the Villain, he's pure Evil c*ckroach.

What I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SOOO MUCH is how Clingy is our Gong MC to ML since reborn till the end of the story. And even his Clinginess is shown as part one of the extras. I LOVE IT WAAAAY TOO MUCH!!! And I also Love how the Author wrote on the extras of what would happen on few different timelines if One of Villain's FL regret their live and reborn. Or how the Original Han Tian finally get back but in different body and reveal how Evil the Villain who lived in his body is.

And in the last chapter, we finally know what had happened to ML on the previous life.

Anyway, I Love this novel! <<less
