"I will stay with you".

This novel is a typical light-hearted novel with small emphasis on face slapping aspect and more a relationship between two individuals. Yet, even after reading I don't know if the content of this novel was enough to showcase the depth of characters, especially ML who is the one with the problems.

Right off the bat I must say that I still like the aspect of it where ML, Shen Yuanting, picks on MC becoming a different person quite early. What is also good is that they don't... more>> pretend about this topic, so the possible drama of "does he love me or original Yan Zhao" doesn't exist. Yuanting is very observant when it comes to people, so he knew Yan Zhao has not changed his tune, but became a different person. He is not repulsed by this Yan Zhao, finds him interesting, then cute, then he falls deeply in love. Although there is an underlying theme that Yuanting might be quite posessive like his father (which is not a good comparison), but it also feels like he is coping with those feelings much better. For him Yan Zhao becomes that pillar he needs in life, thus he has such strong feelings. But unlike his father he is ready to wait for Yan Zhao to film outside for months, to only communicate via phones and wait for those sacred reunions. But becoming a pillar also means becoming a weakness he is so afraid of losing. This is why the words "I will stay with you" meaning "I will stay with you for the rest of your life" are so important to him and reach the peak at the very end.

Yan Zhao is different from Yuanting. Although he shared a lot of his past, but it also feels like he didn't share much. We know that he earned a grand slam in acting career.. Which mistakenly made me think of him of a cooler type of guy than he really is. He is more light-hearted, humorous, anyway like the light side of this pairing. Yan Zhao is good at acting, bad at coking. You could say "cool at work, silly at home" At first it felt weird like he felt on tenterhooks around Yuanting solely because of original Yan Zhao's ending and knowing Yuanting is quite a ruthless character he is kinda afraid of retaliation (since he traveled at a dangerous point), but when Yuanting doesn't make it a secret that he knows Yan Zhao is not the original Yan Zhao things change for better. They slowly warm up to each other and maybe it was more like passion that turned into deeper feelings. Yan Zhao actually never loved and his life was about his career, but here he got a husband for free with whom he eventually fell in love with. It also felt like they kept each other in check too. When one felt like going in the wrong direction emotionally, another tried to bring him back with means they knew better.

As for the "drama", I'd say there is none to me. The passing episodes don't catch your attention tbh and maybe the potential of the bad guy is really eaten up pretty quickly. Maybe this was intentional. All I know is that if you want family drama, the feud between Yuanting and his father, there is only like one episode describing a conflict when Yan Zhao took part in it, at other times it was only passive description of what happened between his father Shen Zhou and his mother Yu Wei whom he kept basically captive, before the woman had mental issues. But it did not stop Shen Zhou from marrying his mistress and the situation was the classic "with stepmother you'll get a stepfather". It has the same feeling like some episodes that are suddenly mentioned. For example, Yan Zhao visited Shen grandma, but in one sentence prior it is suddenly described that during all this time he actually visited her whenever he could. Another time we know that actually Yan Zhao indeed learned some fighting tricks from his assistant / bodyguard during work. And there were many instances of this sudden description of what happened prior using one sentence format instead of including it into the text like a passing thing. It felt kinda strange because it felt like Yan Zhao was always so busy filming that he had no time for other things.

The main force that served (for some time) as a form of entertainment and the goal of face slapping had more scenes then others. Ning Yunfan is supposed to be original shou, he is reborn, but it did not eventually create a big difference for him. Maybe he would have succeeded if Yan Zhao did not change his core. But it also showcases that rebirth isn't everything. It's nto a 100% success, even if you were born with advantages like skills you acquired through years. But maybe the man named Ning did not utilize it well. More like he jumped around too much and got on Yuanting's nerves, so ironically the one who exposed him was the White Moonlight of Ning's heart. But he still did not appear much tbh to treat him as an opponent. Also because of my notes I left I was under the impression that he was rushing to win all good resources and it backfired on him and after reading realized that most likely I remember it from another novel. As you can guess Ning's fate was not the best. But as a reader I couldn't care less.

And that is basically it, the story that is more about two people, the drama is like warm water, but at least the passion is burning. I was bothered that I had only short notes left after reading this novel few years ago, so I went and re-read it these two days. Now it's already hot days of June and I wanted something dynamic and had the idea of picking it up for re-read. And honestly saying, after that I realized I really can't express myself well in a short form ahaha, so no wonder I felt like my notes weren't entirely correct and they made me remember this novel in a wrong light. :D <<less

It is a light read without much to make it stand out but is not bad.

MC transmigrated into a novel he read, reason unknown, changes from an idol to his former career of acting, gets together with ML (novel villain) and becomes a winner in life.

It is a novel without much depth. Many characters just come and go or are there but without much to them. Some of them feel like they were just forgotten to be explored.

Some characters which feel like they should offer more to story but weren't... more>> written include pretty much whole ML family both biological and non biological, MC teammates including ogshou (the villain to mc).

Multiple times it was foreshadowed that ML is hiding something about himself, his personality but never revealed.

The face slapping was pretty non existent. Problems got solved just in passing mentions so I say not much depth.

Read if you want something light without much depth and twists. <<less

So Sweet So Sweet So Sweet!

Our ML is Absolutely Sweet. MC was only slightly worried in the beginning toward him, and the rest he's brave and easy going around him. It's also for the fact that ML can tell that MC is different from OG!YZ and told him so.

Anyway the CP is so Sweet. Our ML the doting to the max because he didn't blackened.

... more>> The Showbiz life is Nice and Smooth. With little Faceslapping, but most of time just smooth.

The Villains doesn't take much screentime nor exist too little.

Anyway this is not a heavy novel. Just Light and Fluff and Absolutely Sweet with Cute Pet's ❤️ Absolutely LOVING IT! <<less

This story isn't that bad but the last few chapters of the main story are pretty boring. Some things were also just never touched upon ever again. For that, I give this a 4/5. Well more like 3.5/5 but I rounded it up.

Very straightforward Rom Com fluff story,

ML finds out MC's identity really quickly and got together with a snap of the fingers, there's no obstacles at all.

MC just wins at everything and ML lives with him day to day interactions, showing fluff and sugar.

I just read alot of similar novels so wasn't pay too much attention with his. There was one thing that was a issue with what ML's dad did to his mum.

Overall it's a good novel to read past the time

I'd say rather standard story. Nothing really shocked me. It's primarily showbiz/acting based with some healing story line elements (for ML). Heavy focus on the romance between MC and ML.

Not much face slapping. Honestly, the main antagonist isn't even present for most of the story. He's rather unimportant and overall disappointing.

We get hints of family dynamics and some business politics in the background. But again, it's a few scenes and honestly not too present throughout the story. It's all resolved in about two chapters at the very end. And wasn't... more>> too critical to the plot.

It seemed the author was building up to some greater plot lines but none of them panned out.
Spoiler

For example, why was it even necessary for the antagonist to have been reborn?

[collapse]
The fact that MC transmigrated isn't all that important either. Other than that it's very clear that ML and MC both fall in love knowing each other's identity - no miscommunication and misidentification there.

With all that said. It was enjoyable overall. I recommend for those wanting a fairly light story focused on acting and romance. <<less

Although I thought it was alright at first, I did enjoy it much more towards the end. I feel like the CP dynamic is interesting. They're refreshing and pretty direct with their likes for one another. The plot which is already pretty loose kinda just disappears though. Don't worry about anything, I think with this novel you just gotta enjoy the CP dynamic lol

The story is not bad, but not that great either. It’s a tad too bland for my taste. It’s funny, but sometimes I couldn’t get the flow of the narration, it jumps all over the place. It’s like it speeds up, then slow down, and then jump to another time. I honestly got bored after they get together together. The interactions are funny and cute, but I’m just not too invested anymore.

Sweet light read. Cute MC/ML- none of the usual angst from MC getting into a previous canon fodder that wasn't a good person etc. Writing seems a bit choppy/has gaps at times, but its still quite enjoyable.

One thing that really hit me (not explored here, more of sudden thought) is that life experiences can really change some people, and there's really such thing as right time right place... all these reborn og protagonists who have gone through life but come back entitled and unwilling to work hard for what they... more>> once had. Then again, there's also the plot force of needing foils and antagonists so I guess authors just like to make them look like they have character problems haha. <<less

I rate it 4 out of 5 stars because there are gaps. Good thing that this story is quite cliche so you can just try to imagine to fill in the gaps.

i love MC and ml.

The outline of the story has a lot of potential. Too bad its not fully utilized.

Sigh. Still enjoyed it though. :)

It was a fun short read. The translator did a good job and didnt breal my immersion, and the story was fun and sweat.

Its nothing too complicated and could even be called generic, but I still enjoyed reading it. It delivered on the comedy and the drama was short lived but still satosfying enough.

I did notice that the pacing is a bit off. Like the author had ideas that they wanted the story to do but they dont know how to transition well from one plot to another. So at... more>> times it felt like a plot would just abruptly end and would leave me feeling like there could be more.

The relationship between the ML and the MC is sweat and they dont have much conflict. If you're looking for something sweat to read this novel is good to pick up for a short uncomplicated read. <<less

This is an enjoyable read, but it’s so unmemorable.

I actually forgot I read this –So how did I remember, you say? Well... I was looking for something to read and when I read the synopsis I was like “Oooh this sounds like it’d be right up my alley”, so I start reading.

.

.

Wait... why does this sound so familiar...

.

.

.

Oh... I think I’ve read this before... *thinks really hard trying to remember what happens in the story* *fails to remember* Did I finish reading this? *tries again to remember* *fails* *keeps reading* *everything still sounds familiar* Uh... I might have finished reading this.

You know when you know you’ve read something before when you read it again? Well... I felt this way the whole way until chapter 14. Why did I read all the way until chapter 14, you ask? Well, I just couldn’t remember what happened in the story, at all, but everything I read I actually knew I had already read but only after reading it, so I kept going expecting to find the point where I might’ve stopped previously, but that didn’t happen... so... now I don’t know if I should just finish re-reading this or just stop. But honestly, this is not re-read-worthy, because look at how I completely forgot about this story.

Now, don’t get me wrong. This story isn’t bad. The fact that I was able to re-read all the way to chapter 14 means it’s entertaining enough. The thing is that –again– this is really unmemorable. Nothing special. So, I don’t think it’s worth re-reading. But, if you haven’t read this before and you are looking for a short, light hearted read without much conflict, this is a story that you can pick up. <<less

Enjoyable read. Might be a lil boring for some as a wholesome fluff offering, but I love this vibe. Definitely refreshing after reading a more intense story.

MC randomly transmigrates into a cannon fodder character that is inexplicably married to a wealthy man. Now I just don't understand how often this happens. Like why is this random just married to one of the most powerful men in business? Either way, due to the lack of information, ML almost immediately realizes that the MC has changed souls--a good thing too, since the... more>> original MC was a bastard. MC is a very refreshing character, carefree and humorous but also OP in entertainment and acting. A perfect match to the ML who has gone through severe mental distress thanks to a dysfunctional family. MC somehow thinks he's straight for a few chapters?? While married to the ML? But comes around pretty quickly and actively makes moves towards the ML, who has long been interested in his new wife. Very sweet relationship once they do get together, with plenty of physical intimacy.

There are many flaws in the story, don't get me wrong. ML is said to have severe mental issues due to or influenced by his childhood, but his obsessive personality is hidden and rarely mentioned or even revealed outside of the comment about him in the original novel. It seems like the MC tells the ML about his past life in the last chapter, but it's left open-ended so I'm not sure if it ever really happened. The ML's family situation is extremely complicated, and in the end it seems like neither the MC or ML have real family members. Would have also appreciated more extras about our couple, instead of 2 extras about possible parallel worlds. Super sweet couple. <<less
