Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.Chen Yan travels between worlds, ending up becoming an honorable prince in a medieval fantasy world. Yet this world was not quite as simple as he thought. Witches with magical powers abound, and fearsome wars between churches and kingdoms rage throughout the land.
Roland, a prince regarded as hopeless by his own father and assigned to the worst fief, spends his time developing a poor and backward town into a strong and modern city, while fighting against his siblings for the throne and absolute control over the kingdom. Join Roland as he befriends and allies with witches and, through fighting and even farming, pushes back invaders coming from the realm of evil.

Translation - Very strong, scentences flow easily and very few errors especialy surprising considering the complex scientific terminology ofetn used.
Concept - Broken down to its core its about someone using his scientific knowledge and combining it the magic of others to advance society and build a kingdom. It holds up surprisingly well now over 400 chapters in still seeing gradual and realistic advances and its exciting to see their impact on the world.
The simultaneous downside and charm of the novel is the level of detail the author goes to when describing how breakthroughs occur and the science behind them. Sometimes you feel like skipping a lot of the jargon but you would absolutely miss it if it wasn't there.
Story - An interlocking web of protagonists that feel real and dangerous. The church as an entity is the most fearsome and interesting but lacks fleshed out enemies so the few times the writer choses to write from their perspective is actually the least interesting parts.
The character development of most characters is superb. Nearly everyone is distinct and believable. Even two of the traders who are minor side characters feel alive and make you enjoy reading their perspective and anticipating their next arrival in the story. The most dissapointing character for me is the primary love interest who the author is trying to write as dignified and awe inspiring but often just comes off as a bit wooden. When compared to many of the other witches (Nightingale, Lightning, Maggie) she is just a bit dull.
Overall - A reincarnation novel with a great concept and characters that uses very few of the usual tropes. The story stays strong throughout and does not suffer from the usual overpowered protagonists in these types of novels.
The way that witches and people think about MC: In the early stage of the story this didn
t bother me but now the glorifying (glorifying is the words that Ill use here, non-native btw) of Roland leaves me a bit tired. The fact that we have different POV and in almost all of them the characters are like, Roland is a genius, your highness is so good, this and that, pisses me off. Its not like those POVs are only this, some POVs give more color to the story and make the reading more enjoyable, but man, why is it that everytime someone is putting him on a pedestal.
Romance. Im somewhat a h**ny guy, I guess. I actually think that is normal for MCs to have several serious relationships with women. The MC does have, more than one, but the way that is made pisses me off. Why? Because for me is f*cking ridiculous how this guy leaves Nightingale up to dry. Anna has a normal relationship with him, they even had s*x, but Nightingale? No. Nothing. She kissed him, yeah, but you can see that is enough. She knows that he has s*x with Anna and shes frustrated with that, and the MC just ignores that shit. Hes ignoring that sh*t for so long that I kinda resent him, I guess. F*ck, in all the other ways the MC adapted to the world but only in this way he didnt. And oh, these are the only open romantic interests for the MC. There are other witches that you could think that love him, by the way they think of him, but we dont see them trying anything so nothing happens.
Kingdom, I guess. The kingdom has centralized power and the MC has the all the power on his hands (ps, since I read the centralized part I remembered about China). My problem with that is that the future of this kingdom will become shit. The only things that keep this kingdom as good as it is now are the witches and the fact that this king is somewhat good. But what about the future. Can a centralized power survive when the next king goes on a power trip? When the people dont know how to deal with witches? If you leave the power to only some people, how can the people respond when the king does something bad?
P.S: Do not be fooled by people that say that this isnt like the other cultivation stories in terms of power trip. While there arent young master everywhere, there still are crowds that scream his name everytime he does something that looks great for them, people constantly adore him, he constantly rekts people in the beginning of the story with "OP" stuff (op in this world of course). Its the same thing but with other colors.
I could talk more about how there isnt a deep relationship between him and the other witches (not a big problem for me), how the chapters are full of technical stuff that I at points just skim over, but I cant write those thoughts well.
I feel sad, sad because while there are cool things about the story negative stuff just push that to the ground.
