Well it’s short and there are some cute parts. I like QXH; he is a bit slow but also cute and funny lmao. I did kinda like this novel but there are some tropes that brought down the quality for me. There are a lot of braindead cannon fodder shenanigans that feel unnecessary. Also certain threads feel unresolved and the ending was a bit abrupt. The extras helped smooth that over though. Honestly this whole thing feels very dog blooded. Also the ML does get better later but he did... more>> some shitty stuff in MC’s first life. Like wtf bro. Although considering he’s from a yakuza/mafia-esque family I guess I shouldn’t feel surprised. It doesn’t bother me he’s slept with a bunch of other people or has a (cute) son, but him sexually harassing/assaulting MC on their first meeting made me facepalm. No wonder MC hated him! Also author did get lazy in some parts, but eh whatever <<less

I gave this a try and read the reviews before reading this, so I expected what to be expected but I was also surprised by some drama, which honestly got me wanting to go ahead go kill some characters myself and there were scenes at first that made me want to read more.

A few things that I find uninteresting in this novel was some explanation the author made (the translator and editor did a good job with this, thank you for service!) which made me bored from time to time... more>> but I did try my best to read.

I did find the romance, at first, thrilling. Knowing our MC still has an IDC vibe with him and the ML is beginning to fall.

The conflicts from Family, friends and rivals, made my scalp go numb

and just want to go there myself and slap some people

Also I want to rant about SQ and Bai Family, so spoiler alert.

what I hate most about Su Qin whatever his name was that, he acts like a victim when in fact he was doing this sh*t himself okay?!!

I was sad for him being a boytoy or whatever until ML and MC had spoke about this annoying issue and ML said that "he would help SQ get out of that hellhole because their friends but he knows SQ is greedy and he (SQ) wouldn't want to get out if he lost his fame "

SQ, being a fckin greedy bastard that he is, tried to act like a nice guy outside but actually was planning to kill MC the moment he knew MC has an illness.

SQ tries to be a homewrecker and wants to cling on a younger and bigger thigh, he even has the audacity to blabber on the small circle of MLs friends " you guys support us to be together (with ML) "

The audacity to even try acting like there was something going on between ML and SQ, lmaooo it made me want to scream honestly.

Lord if that didn't make me snap!!!!

HY, SQ sugar daddy, is the real devil.

honestly my initial thoughts about their punishment was, the older brother deserved it. The mother too but I was having second thoughts of the dad.

Their actions towards MC in his past life made me sick, and even in the present life, two people were scheming and one person was easily pushed around or has a week character. Father Bai, even though it was a sad ending, at least he had a conversation with MC

Also ML made some vore-ish dialogues

which isn't surprising anymore cause I realized most possessive ML's likes to think of their beloved person and swallow them into their belly, like bro, C H I L L and he at first, was a bit of a scum but knowing they were in a contract like relationship at first, I didn't think about it anymore. The change from a bastrd like to a dad like husband figure, made me soften a bit.

he had plenty of "bed mates" before MC and one time, one of his ex "bed mates" warned MC about ML's very important person who was in MLs heart and was in their entertainment. That's why everyone assume it was SQ but in the end, NO ONE CLARIFIED ABOUT WHO??????

I assumed it was MC which he (ML) had his eyes on for years and he (ML) keep offering for 2 years straight to MC of being his kept lover, I mean, if the author keep mentioning about ML in the past life being sad af in the rain looking at MCs grave is the hint of a longing ever since he laid eyes on him...... then author did a bad job. Yep, I'm making conclusions because on hints. Yep.

it wasn't clear but I'm pretty sure it wasn't SQ, ML was so disgusted and displeased at one point where SQ made fake news to attack MC and MLs relationship.

ML was angry, he even probably wants to kill SQ if it weren't for HY, that old devil.

So I'm sure it's not SQ.

MC on the other hand, although I love him, there were a few small stuff that I didn't agree on and it's probably because the author wrote this novel quickly at the end.

Honestly, he only did probably 5 (if I'm not wrong) movies and a few guesting to shows, and commercials.

His acting career even started as an extra too so I wasn't touched when he became a movie emperor, I guess the author didn't properly grasp the concept of the entertainment and media industry.

Overall I gave 3 stars because there were questions left unanswered, some dialogues were too wordy from the author, I was hoping for some characters to appear again but they were never to be seen again without explanation.

Anyways it was a fun read, made my blood boil when the drama came and made me enjoy to read what would happened next to these basatards, and there were villains who weren't punished (HY is like ur real life evil villain who gets away with sh*t because he has money)

ML literally said it ain't his business anymore as long as HY don't touch MC's head and since HY got what he wanted, he never did. So ML is now minding his business

To be honest, at the beginning, its boring, they only have s*x and it feels fake, but after 17 chapters, you slowly see them develop! Their son, When I tell you he is the cutest little thing!!!!!! Even tho, I'm not half way, it's getting good.

I don't know how many times I've read this story, but I keep on coming back because I haven't found a story as nice as this one. And I love reading the reviews too since I've nothing much to do lol. It makes me delighted that some readers pointed out the things I like while some pointed out the things I missed. Like wow.

Also for those negative feedbacks, well, what can I say, people have different taste and preferences, it just turned that what I like, they don't.

Future readers! Don't... more>> hesitate to read. This book is really nice. ♥️ Also, I'm hoping someone will drop a story as good as this one in the review section 🤣. Sadly, I have found none. 🙄 <<less

Despite many good reviews, this book felt kind of inexperienced and immature so I dropped it. I planned to drop it around chapter 16 but wanted to read a bit more in case it gets better but I can't with the dialogues. I thought this would be a mature romance story based on the reviews but for me the story really feels like a poorly written romance of a Mafia CEO x Movie Star Wattpad story. There are many cringey cliches such as the cute hidden kid who immediately falls... more>> in love with the ML, stubborn overbearing parents who favor the other child, and creepy obsessed canon fodder who goes to dangerous lengths to get with the MC. In my opinion, the drama and world building wasn't realistic at all like what other reviews said. Most of the dialogue was over the top and dramatic lmao. The s*xual scenes were also kind of cringey to read? Like the author was inexperienced at writing them or whatever. I don't really care about s*xual scenes and if there is one or not but since this story does, I felt the need to comment that the progression wasn't smooth and a bit awkward to read.

The ML also irritated me a bit. The romance felt more like a possessive mafia love story than a possessive CEO story (if anyone knows the difference) and the mafia trope just overshadowed everything else for me when I read at their romance. Also, I couldn't shake off the sleazy look I had of the ML just because of the way the ML was described lmao but the ML is commented as very handsome.

The MC on the other hand... if you love face slapping revenge and the MC wowing everyone with his experience then give it a try. There's one thing that irked me though and it was that the characters said the MC had a sunny and nice personality but it wasn't reflected most of the time or at least I didn't pick up on it. The MC to me feels superficial and a bit cold, even when talking to other people as if he doesn't want to get too close which is understandable until the side characters praise how the MC has a sunny personality to build the dramatic affect of the MC being cold to a scum bag and then it throws me off. Maybe if I kept reading the writing would get better but I can't with the Wattpad vibes.

Overall, not my cup of tea but there are many other readers who liked it so it's not bad to give it a try! This is just my opinion in case someone with my reading taste stumble upon this. <<less

Definitely 5 star. A story with mature romance between 2 adults, one of the story about entertaining close to reality. This is one of my among the entertainment story.

Sometimes it make me laugh to read a super rich CEO ride a business class flight. Super rich CEO ride his private jet. Have you ever seen those crazy rich queueing with us commoners in the boarding room? No, they don’t have time for that. And that’s exactly what our ML does here.

The other is, our MC did not hv social media.... more>> I notice a lot of big star didn’t hv social media. Our MC focus on his job rather than internet. I love him.

I like how our MC decide to repay the kindness of people who kind to him in his past sad life, and did not forget to cut ties with people who harm him. He didn’t took revenge, but he certainly not s*upid.

Some people might disappointed with our ML past, or with how their relationship start from the wrong foot. I think that’s what makes it cute, and closer to reality. Lots of cute moment between them and not too sweet. Just the right dose of fluffiness.

The only flaw is there is no thrusting and f*cking some loose plot that I really want author to explain it in extras, although she decide to give us mystery. Just like our MC didn’t know what our ML truly feels about him in his last life, nor why our ML desperate to save him, we also don’t know. The answer must be love, but it will be nicer if we get the complete picture. <<less

I have reread this 3 times because it is so freaking cute. Plus the novel is not that long.

The relationship between the MC and the ML slowly builds up. Though they started from a money-related relationship, they started to slowly care for one and another. Then, they finally confess that they have feelings for each other and I thought that it was really cute.

Another plus point will be that little child. He is sooooo freaking cute. I honestly think that his presence made the relationship between the MC and ML... more>> proceed to another level so I'm very thankful to him. If not for him, the MC and ML might take a longer time before acknowledging their feelings and getting together.

Definitely worth the read :) <<less

I really enjoyed this... it's particularly cute and fluffy

I really enjoyed that the rebirth gave him an advantage but it wasn't really a huge gold finger that got him out of all troubles.

There were instances that he couldn't predict and aftereffects of the butterfly effect from the changes he caused and he didn't have a lot of knowledge that would help him make money - he only remembered one sure thing he could invest in and that also didn't give him instant profits and then one other thing that had... more>> the potential but would be touch and go because he knew he would be changing the circumstances of the people involved if he invested when he did which could affect how they develop in the future - this too was an instance where he started making money later rather instantly as you see in some other rebirth novels.

The ML does have a child that he had previously but he's honestly the adorablest and the mother basically doesn't exist so no scheming past lady here which I enjoyed.

This reminds me of ''Transmigrated into the Film Emperor’s Death-Seeking Fiance'' but I liked this one better, mostly because there is no mpreg lmao. After all the ansgty novels I've finished, I really needed this one; it's a p light read. You can read it all in one day!

It was super fluffy and cute and I loved the interaction between the main chara and the ML and his kid. But I couldn't help but expect more plot or acting scenes from the movies MC filmed. I'm not even too sure what most of the movies he filmed was about. Also, I expected the face-slapping so it's fine and I liked that the MC was forgiving and didn't push the villains to near death but at the same time, I felt like he could be more lenient to certain... more>> characters, like Su Yuan.

Su Yuan was basically forced to be this plaything for an old man and ended up having to give up his career. I know he did harmful things but I felt like his ending was too harsh. Also, I get that his ex was not a good guy but did he really deserve to be basically gang r*ped in jail?

    • Fluffy content btwn MC, ml, and kid
    • MC is actually quite forgiving (he face-slaps, but not to the extent of most in these types of stories)
    • I liked that the ML was in love first and is very supporting of the mc
    • Not a lot of drama btwn main couple, which is absolutely wonderful
Cons

    • not enough detail on the movies (basically described the mc's role and how cool he looks and then maybe a few scenes from the move and that's it.
    • not a lot of plot development (I felt like a lot of actions/emotions were told rather than expressed through the writing sometimes)
So, in conclusion, if you're looking for a cute short story to pass the time, then this is it. If you're looking for something deeper and with a lot more plot and details on the movies, then this isn't it. Still a good story, just wasn't for me.

I'd say that the side couple is Qiu Xiaohai and Rong Zan. Like their interactions are so cute especially in the side stories. Its kinda confusing whos gong or shou but I'm imagining a Rong Zan gong and Qiu Xiaohai shou cuz in the side stories, its hinted that Rong Zan is the taller of the two and also hes the one thats more dominant of the two (Rong Zan is the one who initiates kiss+is the one who is described as using force)

If the MC doesn't want it, the ML doesn't push it. Because of this style, the ML is honestly not very present in the first 20 chapters or so, as they focus on the MC developing his own career. This isn't a super long read and isn't outrageous in any way. There are no insanely romantic moments, but I liked it like that because it went along with the flow a lot better--neither of them are the type to do something so drawn from fiction, but are the types to satiate their partner's desires, which leads to occasional romantic (but not overbearingly so) moments between them.

The real MVP were the kids lol. <<less

finished reading this novel in one whole night and didn't regret a bit! 5 stars from me. The MC reborn but he did not just thrive to get his revenge. He tried to forget his revenge but when he thinks it's too much, he got revenge but not by his own hands (?) im not really sure how to explain but most of the time, it's the ML who did the revenge for him but it's never the underhanded method.

ML trapped those for hurt the MC by money/scam and not just cripple them. Except for that one martial arts instructor, bcs he punched MC so that MC got heart attack. So he beat the instructor back and lured him into gambling.

Also MC is not forced. He fully consents on their relationship. Which I think similar to sugardaddy-sugarbaby. He's the one who went to ML and offer himself. Because in his last life, the ML tryna gets into his pants but the MC didn't want it also then the ML wants the MC to be his kept lover but MC didn't agree so they don't really have a relationship other than a superior (ceo of the entertainment company) and an artist of the company.

overall, this novel is worth a reading! It doesn't really have dark theme or not but enough angst (actually not really angsty though) and just enough amount of fluff! Especially the ml's son! &Lt;3 but don't worry the mom is not even in the picture. It's just a family of three consists of the MC, ML and their son! <<less

Really really good, to the point that I keep coming back to this novel and rereading it. Not the typical entertainment rebirth story as,

  1. MC doesn't focus on revenge, but on living his life and living it well;
  2. MC and ML's relationship starts atypically as they get into a physical relationship first before slowly getting to know each other and falling in love; and
  3. MC has a heart disease, which isn't serious, but does have to be managed well.
PS: one of the best parts is ML's son, he is so meng~

Pretty okay read, at first I hated ML’s guts but I wanted to see where it would go and ended up approving his relationship with the MC. I just wish the MC didn’t have to suffer so much not just in the past life but also in the current life before he got a happy ending. Really angsty story, I would have liked the ML and MC to have a relationship built on mutual trust and love rather than money. It felt like a rough journey, I just really wanted... more>> MC to be happy so after reading the last chapters I was satisfied with ending. I like the ending, or the ending of the extra chapters, because the last few sentences made me think “maybe things will improve even more for the MC, it’s what he deserves after all.” <<less

This story warms my heart, is light and doesn't have too much plot.

There is a development of the characters as the story progresses and I'm enjoying it. The changes are quite logical, so they are easy to accept.

Unfortunately, the worldbuilding is not detailed, so is the process of the character's career journey.

The author writes this story well enough so that each component in the novel is easy to understand. Although there are a few things that have been left out, but it doesn't interfere with my enjoyment of reading this... more>> novel.

Anyway, I recommend this novel for those of you who like cute stories and characters (I'm not talking about MC and ML, you know, that's a surprise for you). <<less

Well paced plot, lots of angst, lots of fluff, great translation, and not needlessly drawn out??? Perfection hahshhdhdh

Plus the character development was nice.

A perfect one day read uwu the meng served by the kids was chef's kiss

(plus no graphic s*x scenes??? THANK YOU! Often some novels are continuously riddled by smut scene after smut scene every 2-3 chapter it becomes a chore to read them so this was a much needed breath of fresh air)

It's been a long time since I last read this but it's a satisfying novel for me. Re-reading it when I can't find any other novels to read.

Character development was good, not the kind when it's just poofs suddenly becomes like that. Honestly, I can't remember how many times I read this. Another thing, QXH! Ah~ Baby is so adorable I swear~~

This would be a worth read.
