In his previous life Bai Lang was a small star. He rejected his boss and foolishly engaged in a relationship which he thought was true love.

He didn’t expect that he would get betrayed, die of a heart attack and trouble his boss to accompany him on his last journey.

After his rebirth, he decided to give up on true love. As for his boss… since he wants something then just let him have it.

So this little star after his rebirth collected his boss, and then it became a true love story with his boss.

In between there are good friends/love rivals/scum men in the mix. A sweet story with a happy ending.

This is a satisfying novel and when I finished it, I can't help smiling. 😌 The extras are fluffy and are must-reads.

I'm not gonna lie, I cried and felt emotional on some bits. The MC has been wronged too much in his previous life. 😭 Thank goodness for this rebirth! The angst, for the most part, is there but the fluff just overpowers it. Meaning, you won't cry, you'll just feel sad and pity towards the MC and I think crying was just on my part 😂.

The fluff...... more>> my goodness. I am so happy with it. The kids are cute, the family-setting is admirable, the loyal friends are awesome, and more.

The angst... is commendable, seeing as it didn't abuse the reader too much. (But I still got abused. My tears fell for reasons). The MC is pitiful but he didn't really dwell much, although it would occasionally bother him. But atleast in this life, he has someone with him.

The vividness of the details. Logic is present in this novel, that is, if we disregard the part about the rebirth. There wasn't a golden finger and the MC is hardworking. He's been tempered by that last life of his so he lost most of his naivety. There are some parts where he mentions that he was too much of a newbie (meaning he easily gave away his trust) and it backfired on him so much.

Although his past life is unfortunate, it doesn't mean that he's so hung up on revenge but rather he has his priorities straight. I also like that when they were talking about "handling" one of the a**holes in this novel, they thought of who they can and can't drag during this "handling." Meaning, they are still aware that their actions have consequences and they can't invent sh*t just to persecute this a**hole.

Oh the handling. The patience that they had before they can finally execute the finalized form of revenge - I truly admire it! I like how the revenge wasn't all that cruel. The revenge was actually what they deserve.

Now onto the criticisms: There really isn't much except that I wish that the side characters can also get some spotlight. I wanted to know about the relationships of the assistants/ friends/ acquaintances, more depth to the friends' lives... Basically, I wish there was more to the novel. I have some questions about these and I'm not sure if these questions are justified because it's not about the MC's life anymore (nor his family's), but rather the side characters. Meaning, it wouldn't affect much of my rating for this novel.

In reality, I would rate it 4.6/5 due to this but rounding off will still be 5 stars. I did love it but I still have questions so... I have this feeling of satisfaction after I read the novel but as I make this review, I remember about the side characters and I woke up. It didn't mean that I hate/dislike it. I was drunk on the fluff 😂. <<less

MY BABIES!!! 😭😭😭 So sad it's over but I adored it, it made me giggle a lot and some times I even felt sad for the MC and it also had me take a break at the suspenseful moments because I was anxious. Love it 💞💕💞💕

I want to give 5 star but I cl**ked 4 stars lol spoiler alert below.

I love the novel very much. It was quite sad at the beginning but after MC in an official relationship with ML, it was so sweet after that. I was really really relieved MC has someone who can call as "family".

The revenge is good, MC not particularly concern about it, if there was a chance to bring him down he will, if not he just let it be. But more often than not, ML is the... more>> one who actively help MC with the revenge. MC is busy with acting and taking care of his family (ML and ML's child)

Although honestly there was this particular scum man I wish the author stop writing about him already and get his punishment but it seems to drag on until the end, when at that moment I just wished to see more lovey dovey between MC and ML and ML's child. I don't care about the scum though I did feel happy to see that scum gets what he deserved.

MC's family is the typical horrible shameless family. Glad to see the ending of the family, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either their ending.

Wish there were more extras about MC and ML smut lol and the side romance heheh won't spoil you

I also like MC's matured way catch the attention of ML and ML is genuinely curious about it instead of being brushed off like any other novel. I also like MC come clean and tell ML he got rebirth and 2nd chance, it was definitely rare. I also the intimacy ML show after hearing MC's previous life. I felt they are getting closer, if not more intimate.

ML feel like a typical CEO at first, but I also like this character as I read past more chapters. The more I read, the more I like ML, he slowly changed his ways and that was a good charactef growth I see. It wasn't obvious but it definitely there. ML was not the one who stingy with aflfection after MC and ML got together which is quite different from typical ML. <<less

It was okay I guess, not an overly complicated plot, short and to the point.
The MC and ML were nice to read about, though I don't like how their relationship started as there is some serious imbalance of power, they don't seem equal until halfway into the story.
Honestly, the setting of this book's world is kinda... strange...? I mean, s*x favours and stuff like that seem to permeate the world till its core, and it is so open about it.
Like, it is everywhere!
The novel is not a masterpiece, but, alongside the translation, (which was great!) it's a very nice read.
Don't want to stress too much? try it :)

This novel is so good in my opinion. There's not too much cruel revenge. The MC still maintain his original good heart. He is calm, I like it. He doesn't use his rebirth life for revenge, he just try to live well as possible on different way from the past. And the ML is a bit temperamental, like a Fierce boss in your office. If you didn't make a mistake, he'll not cut you. He is An old driver, play with entertainment butterfly. But it's his past..

The familiar tropes are here, of a second chance, of knowing through death who are your real friends and enemies, of everything falling into place. But the difference is that this is a story told well. Enjoy it, and wish for more.

I want more! This was just so pure. Unlike other second chance stories where the MC actively seeks revenge, here the MC mostly wants to live well and only fights back when provoked. It was very nice and beautiful to read.

I really love Bai Langs character, very peaceful that it was refreshing.

And I can't remember how many time I've already read this.

No matter, each time I fall in love this novel over and over again.

Also Qiu Qian, Xiao Hai are so darn perfect and cute!!!

YOOOOO I cried at the start and the end!

Actually I've never liked 'rough' type characters (characters with bad tempers, kick things around, etc) but I ended up liking ML!! His character makes sense when you consider his background.

The pacing of the story was a bit fast than what I'm used to but the progression of their relationship is completely believable.

Their trust in each other and the healthy communication between them is nice.

I wonder why the translator changed sites? But anyways send them some love ♡♡♡

The story was the usual rebirth story, but written in a very satisfactory level.

No exaggerated scenes, the MC was very rational, it was sweet but just the right amount. It was a good read overall!

I think it's good if you want to read a good fluff novel, but it lacks in character development. Although the MC is born with the goal of not being disgraced like how he was in his last life, we fail to see any real ambition from him besides a few lines about him wanting to be good enough to stand by the ml. He doesn't care about what he languishes was taken from him in his past life, which for my personal taste is disappointing. Also note that the... more>> first 8 chapters includes heavy reflecting which annoyed the sh*t out of me because at a certain point it became redundant. I think my biggest nag though would be that I don't feel as if though the relationships between the characters are deep enough. They feel shallow, exp. The MC and his friends and basically every side character. They become useless cannon fodders which is disappointing because I actually liked them a lot.

It's a good rebirth novel and MC making a different life decisions on his second life. He's more mature now and He can see the whole picture. There's also the development of our couple. ML at the first life -he's an awkward guy and don't know how to express his feelings. On thr second life kinda great that he can express more here wellthat's also the contribution of our MC's rebirth self. Good revenge and turnaround story from a tragic past

Aaaahhhhhhhhhh I'm sad it ended 😭

This was a very nice novel to read!!! The main and side characters were great! The villain was absolutely terrible, no redeeming qualities, which is how it should be!!!!!! Screw that guy!!

The drama/conflict are very nice to read through and the translation is great!

Nice novel to read quickly. The author has a tendency to skip the details for some major events through out the story, only focusing on the plot essentials, so the reading is very fast paced. There are times where I was left wanting more details, but the lack of it isn’t detrimental to the story. If you’re looking for a super fleshed out novel, this wouldn’t be the story for you. However, the characters are interesting and the dynamic of the main character and his new family is very cute.

5 stars because I really like this novel. I didn't regret reading this.

I love the MC and the ML and also their son (so cute). I hate Su Quan so much, grr. He makes my blood boil. Kang Jian is disgusting, really.

At first I thought that the ML would be controlling but thanks god he didn't. As time passed by, their relationship became sweet and genuine.

I really like this story. It is not too long. It is well translated overall. The main characters are, generally speaking, well developed - as much as you can in 61 chapters and 6 extras.

I like that there is no real angst. I hate too much angst in stories. This one is light and fluffy and you can read it without going into agonies about what terrible things may happen to the characters. The MC and ML communicate with each other - more so after they officially get together and... more>> the internal reasoning for Bai Lang's actions does make sense and fit his character.

There are no real villains, per se. Terrible things happened to Bai Lang in the past, but these are only really seen as flashbacks. Qiu Qian's family's villains mostly seem to act off stage or through third parties. Bai Lang's family are serious scum in particular I am very annoyed with his father. Although his mother and older brother are more 'in your face' with their actions, it is his father who I am more disappointed in. If he had had more of a backbone, life might have been very different for Bai Lang.

Su Quan is fairly ineffective as a villain, he gets his comeuppance mostly as a result of his own actions and is a perfect example of 'making your own bed and having to lie in it'. His actions show that he never truly understood Qiu Qian, and seriously overestimated his own attractiveness!

Apparently some people have described this story as dark, or have been completely put off by Qiu Qian's actions towards Bai Lang in his previous life. I can understand some of where they are coming from, but even in the past, Qiu Qian did not completely cross the line with his actions towards Bai Lang. Even his actions that Bai Lang saw as threats actually show that Qiu Qian was trying, in his own way, to protect Bai Lang. To me, it actually comes across as 'the boy pulling the girl's pigtails to get her attention', which usually misfires but is an immature way of showing love. This does not excuse his actions but it does somewhat explain them.

Hopefully I haven't given too much away. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it if you are looking for something short and fluffy with a HEA and no real angst. It is one I go back to time and again. <<less

Well it’s short and there are some cute parts. I like QXH; he is a bit slow but also cute and funny lmao. I did kinda like this novel but there are some tropes that brought down the quality for me. There are a lot of braindead cannon fodder shenanigans that feel unnecessary. Also certain threads feel unresolved and the ending was a bit abrupt. The extras helped smooth that over though. Honestly this whole thing feels very dog blooded. Also the ML does get better later but he did... more>> some shitty stuff in MC’s first life. Like wtf bro. Although considering he’s from a yakuza/mafia-esque family I guess I shouldn’t feel surprised. It doesn’t bother me he’s slept with a bunch of other people or has a (cute) son, but him sexually harassing/assaulting MC on their first meeting made me facepalm. No wonder MC hated him! Also author did get lazy in some parts, but eh whatever <<less
