Hoping someone will retranslate the earlier chapters, the grammar is quite bad so I couldn't keep reading; it kept disrupting the immersion. Can't say anything about the story for that reason ¯_ (ツ) _/¯

An editor going over the text and correcting things would work too. I don't expect perfect grammar from translations, but if there's constant errors of different kinds it's hard to get lost in the story.

SOOO CUTE! If you're looking for a novel full of fluffiness and no drama then you've come to the right novel. There are only minor vinegar scenes but that's pretty much it. And that confession was the cutest, quickest and most straightforward confession I've read lol.

Its the slice of life story of the president of a company and his university lover.... their story is full of sugar and the flasback of their time in uni life is sweet <3

I enjoyed this novel a lot, though lost some interest nearing the end. It was super sweet and fluffy. Most chapters are relatively short, so it is a quick read.

• • Unique premise: majority of novels stops where this story begins. CP has already been together for 7 years when the story starts. We follow their secret relationship when MC works as a manager in ML's company, their coming out and wedding. Also, a flash back to college where they started to date as freshmen. So, no tedious waiting for 50 chapters like in other slice of lice stories for their first kiss. Do except: family issues (not major) due to their coming out, gossipy colleagues, a few non serious love rivals

• • Pacing: this story is slice of life but it is well paced. Some slice of life stories more qualify as slice of minutes or slice of seconds where a single scene can take up 3 chapters. Not the case here.

• • ML: super caring, protective, also jealous but not in an exaggerated, controlling/toxic way. He is CEO of large company, but setting is more real. There are no bodyguards circling around kind of setting. ML is super hot because of all the things he does for MC and not only because he just looks hot. You want a guy like him in real life!

• • Overall feeling: especially in first 100 chapters orso I particularly love their relationship!! (After that it was still good, but I was ready to wrap up the story) I wonder if that is secret to successful relationship. Just give a guy satisfying s*x life (they are always very h**ny for eachother and almost have daily s*x and multiple rounds) and don't nag or be annoying and you'll have a happy love life for ever. They don't need to worry about money or other issues. Because that is the easy, fluffy feeling this novel gives you. the daily life of 2 people in a very stable, healthy, caring, sexually and emotionally fulfilling partnership.

Not a like or dislike but about MC: just a normal guy. Normal handsomeness. He is kind, but that actually is. This story is more the type of rich, super hot CEO falls for ordinary, nice guy.

DIDN'T LIKE

• • There was 1 scene where ML got aggressive towards a persistent, female subordinate who wanted to become ML's partner. I didn't like this scene. Imo, it didn't fit the overall sentiment of this story. It was too aggressive, the female subordinate too dumb and too dog blood. Instead of making it more exciting I felt it lowered the overall quality of the story and the wholesome image of ML.

• • MC is described as handsome but ordinary. Totally ok, but the author would add scenes like him burping regularly or having diarrhea. I don't dislike these things, but then do the same to ML as well, also for balance sake. But no... ML always seems so perfect. Doesn't burp or anything LMAO. These are just minor details, but I just happen to notice these kind of things.

• • I didn't dislike the side couple. I thought their story was very touching especially in the beginning but I do think too many chapters are dedicated to them. Also their story is so more dog blood. Because there were so many chapters about the side couple I lost interest in the overall story too in the end.

PS the Wattpad translation gets better later on. The Dummy novels translation is much better, but not finished yet.

I was reading the almost ending part aka the climax of the novel when my playlist play the song mad at disney specifically the 'what the hell is love'. The only thing I could think of is that this is the answer. In the future I want to find a partner like Ke Yan who loves me just like he loves Jiang Qi.

I dont think there's much for me to say here except I really enjoy the story and end it with warm heart. I love both the main couple and the side couple and their story. Sometimes, you may have Jiang Qi's parents or Shao Yu's or maybe even Lin Zi Rui's one. Loved it. It's pretty sweet and the relation between the two is pretty balanced. Office romance is usually strife with drama and partiality. In this case, the MC's competence is obvious and the ML's gentle coaxing is sweet and not partial. Translation is also good. Only problem is the speed of the translation - barely one chapter gets updated a month and since I like this story, it's kind of irritating to read at such a slow pace.

So, this is worthy to be read from the story's plot. But what makes me stop reading is the way how this story was written. There is no problem with our dearest translators, but as far as I remember the author's note, they said that this was their first novel and they even apologized if they wrote it too immaturely.

and that's the truth. Like, I can't enjoy how easy the author wrote down the characters working ethic, I mean even though this is just a simple novel, I feel so... more>> itchy when reading how the author explained the condition of their workplace (since I'm an office worker, I feel like the author didn't understand how the office going and just wrote only with their simple knowledge. I don't want to judge the author, and this is my only opinion, but this is one of the reasons I'm not enjoying when reading the synopsis).

but this is just my review, if you're looking for an easy story with fluff here and there, you get this.

for me, the story was just too dragging and I stopped reading it.

Alright... I'm in for the romance, cuteness, fluffiness, and dog food. Like it's super cute you'll feel like you'll get diabetes due to the amount of sugar from JQ & KY.

It's a light read, there are some conflicts but not too much (ex. disapproving parents, obsessive women) like it only takes around 20% of the story, maybe even less. It's only about their sweet relationship anyway.

You might considered the women who like KY as "villain" but idk they're so small-brained that it makes u cringe lmao but they didn't matter... more>> much... I also love how KY & JQ is communicating their feelings so it won't prolong any misunderstanding.... <<less

I enjoyed the fluffiness of the beginning chapters. It was sweet. It made reading the later chapters more enjoyable as you get to learn about how they met, their friends, their days at school, and how they fell in love. I really enjoy reading this story and wait anxiously for each update. I like how the two main characters are so compatible and there is not much drama in their relationship.
