Qiu Zheng Qing is an elite manager at a well-known corporation whose life plan does not include dating but simply getting married because it is time. Good story, but getting annoyed with the translatpr adding random thoughts into the middle of everything.

Hopefully it changes in the next few chapters.

*Edit* just skip all the chapters by Zubeneschamali, feels like the translator is trying to be a smart ass and failing miserably. And feels like they are translating a novel they don't like and just ruining the readers flow and experience.

This story made me want to create an account here and it’s not on a positive note.

What the H E L L is wrong with the translator (ZUBEN) !??? What’s with the unnecessary remarks? I agree with commenter Miko, at first I thought I can deal with it but as I read more into the story the more it sounded so condescending and truly annoying! As much as I enjoyed the story, AGAIN, unnecessary sarcastic remarks put me off and it made the translator sound like a trying... more>> hard intellectual. Makes me think someone’s pointing a gun at his/her head while translating this. Thanks for ruining the reading experience. <<less

WHY ARE THERE LITTLE REVIEWS?! Seriously, just a 3.9 rating?! It doesn't give this novel justice! Where are my diabetes-loving sweetness-overload family?

TL;DR It's a sweet, slice-of-life, light and cutesy romance set in modern times that you just have to read if you want some fluffiness with a side of bitterness (Hello single ladies, raise your hand! Let us wave the flag of independence lol). Ahh... I really wish I could find my own ZhengQing.

The story is about a cold as ice guy (but not overbearing, mind you... he's sooo human, in fact, just cold in a sense that he's too workaholic), no idea about romance with a principle that marrying is just another business proposal. Hence, true to the summary, he thought a girl so similar to him would be the best. Then, of course, lo! Enters our cute, free-spirited and cheerful heroine who smashed all that to pieces. And he realised... opposites do attract.

The start was really sweet as fluff! Especially since most of the story's in the guy's perspective, we get to see his transformation and his thoughts, w/c is uuugh (ugh in a good sense by the way... I am so bitter! Seriously, where can I grab a guy like this?). It is good in a sense that you can really feel and see how smitten he is of the MC, and how he loved her so much, going through with her whims and changing a lot about him and his lifestyle to suit her wants.

Note, however, in case you take it the wrong way, MC is not overbearing. I love her personality! It's sunshines and rainbows, yes, but not the destructive/annoying idiotic, clumsy type. More like she just enjoys her life, so positive and infects people with her kindness. I find her refreshing and nice.

This is not a rich boy x poor girl story. As mentioned in the summary, MC is a young miss. And although ML came from a poor background, I wouldn't consider him poor -- heck, he is sought out in the business world, good-looking and good business sense. He's now a VP for heaven's sake!

There are some inconsistencies but not too bad to give it a 4.0 or lower. I daresay, PLEASE TAKE MY 5.0 RATING! This novel really deserves the 5.0s. 3.9 is too small!

I love the interaction of the characters. I daresay the ML and MC fit right -- they bring out the best of each other (huhuhu I am soo bitter). I particularly love the awkward interaction at first, can't help but blush and feel sorry for the ML. HAHAHA It's actually comparable to/reminded me of Chestnut's Just Blame Me for Being Blind at the Beginning or A Love So Beautiful if I say so myself. There's some humor, good interaction, a bit of innuendos here and there (there's "colour" ah! lol) and good characters. There isn't much drama, mind you.

But I do appreciate the last problem faced by the protags in that it re-opens and addresses the 'main' conflict put up earlier... will the relationship work? This is, of course, based on the glaring differences of the MC and ML's personalities. One is a workaholic, the other is a romantic.

And I love how it went after! You can see them adapt and grow and really just try their best to make it work. It's cute and nice.

I literally stop reading because of unecessary remarks inserted by the translator. Haha. But the story is good, so far. I'm just probably annoyed by some comments in the middle of the story.

The story? Well it's well written so far.. But I'm here just for a THING!!

The TRANSLATOR ! I'm really grateful to you for translating this novel.. I read some of the others review about your remark or comment in the middle of the story.. I don't think it's necessary! Really.. Like others said.. It's REALLY ANNOYING

It's like you're mocking the author tho.. I can't help think like that.. Just please STOP commenting about the whatever dialogue or something.. in the middle of paragraph! If you want to comment or review... more>> or give your opinion about the novel... You can just put it after the chapter.. At the end of the chapter... We, readers happily read it.. Actually, this is an unique novel with different vibe from other novels.... But... I... Just can't love this novel... Am I weird here?

Everyone have their own taste. And this is not my cup of tea. But I will not say this is a bad novel. NO. This is a good novel with unique vibe.

This is from male's perception, so this is breath of a fresh air. But the pace is really slow...

I come here cuz others said this is heartwarming story. But... For me, this is... more>> not. Dunno why, but I think this really has too much drama in it. And I dislike that.

    • If you want read emotional rollercoaster, this is for you.
    • If you want read about the cruel reality in the real world, this is for you.
    • If you want read couple struggle together for their future, this is for you.
    • If you want read incompatible couple strive for each other, this is for you.
    • If you want read slice of live drama with emotion struggle, this is for you.
    • If you already too lazy with overbearing CEO type of man and want read about another type, this is for you.
    • If you already too lazy with yandere ML and want something more realistic, this is for you.
    • If you want to read about free-spirited girl and cold male, this is for you.

I think this is my first post, I like to read Xianxia with a bit of romance. And this was really different from normal choices. But it was good rly good. It was 2 nights read and make my face hurt from smiling and my eyes red from read and happy tears. In this is no sad things, only happy and it contrast with more happy things. I cant understand how is possible to make such a story interesting and enjoying but IT IS.

PS: I am strict consumer never share... more>> my opinion nor vote for rating. But this one make me happy not exited, and depressed when reading xanxia or when it end. Just happy.

PS2: If I can say something that I didn't like it is that I want to read more ab out that pair.

PS3: I am not a romance reader, nor I am much active in online discussions and I am 30 year old engineer, so no girls around me to ask about similar piece of jade like this. So if someone have a recommendation for me, something like this without much drama, sweet but not cheese pls share. <<less

The story is cute, not angsty. Characters are lovely and loveable. I would have given it at least a 4.5 stars, if it weren’t for the translator.

First off, I’m not an ungrateful brat. I know that most translators do the translation voluntarily with little monetary return. And tbh, I am one who enjoys T/N’s notes and little comments at the end of a chapter, but this translator, Zuben, and their running commentary, which are extremely snarky and sarcastic seriously SERIOUSLY affects your state of mind while reading. I even tried... more>> to skip the bracketed running commentary but because of the paragraph length and grouping it became increasingly difficult. Overall made the reading experience terrible.
As a reader, if you can tolerate a constant diss track of the characters and plot running alongside like buzzing fly, then I’d say this novel is very cute and worth the read.

Again, the translator does the work on her own time and owes no one anything. She can translate it however she wants. If you don’t like it, then skip. But, I had to change my usual style of never leaving bad reviews anywhere to get it out of my chest how cheated I feel for having a terrible experience reading an otherwise cute novel only because of translator’s running commentary ridden with sarcasm.
But still, at the end of the day, translation is pretty good with good clarity and excusable mistakes and very little grammatical mistakes. That in itself is a great job considering how most fan translations tend to be barely readable with heavy grammatical errors. So, as much as I don’t like to snarky commentary, translator, I do appreciate the time spent and good effort put into delivery a nice translation.

I love it so much!! Although at start its quiet boring with long narration but as story goes on.. It become more interesting n cute! Cute! Cute! Their loves story is so heartwarming n making me smile as I read it (my friends thought theres something wrong with me.. (╥_╥)) anyway, forget deception, scheming n all that.. This story make u focus on the beauty of little things around u n live positively!!

Like it so far. Has a drier literary tone, but I dig that sometimes. It gives the sense of seeing things through his eyes, which make her appearances feel even more like sunshiny bright pops of color in the grayness.

Want to read on but the chapters are all over the place. There are like ten missing? Will continue if they get translated.

EDIT: Thanks to the translator for filling in the missing chapters!

I like this novel. The FL is rich and optimistic the ML is poor but because of hardwork he became rich and became a Vice president he is also logical.

What I don't like is the obnoxious comments of the translator.

I thought people were being dramatic about this translator but its true. Nevermind the commentary but she is absolutely rude and ignorant about chinese culture, making mocking comments. And she is very unapologetic about it, I suppose she feels she is very edgy, unique and special (no you’re not, you just plain ignorant) do us a favor and stop translating because it robs other groups of the chance to do so🥰

This has to be one of the sweetest novels I've read in a while. I liked this a lot. Not really fluff but not much drama either. Overall the interactions between the ML and FL are just too cute! I recommend this one if you're bored ofr really enjoy a good romance.

I tried to like this novel but it's too long winded in my opinion. I'd prefer it if it was written more concisely and less descriptively. The interaction between the FL and ML, albeit awkward in the beginning, is quite cute and sweet but it would have been even better had this issue of long windedness not existed. I find myself skipping paragraphs, if not not a whole chapter as it only mentions mundane stuff filled with repetitions. To me, this is the biggest weak point which hinders me from... more>> giving a better rating.

But despite my review, I do recommend this novel to those who like calm and relaxing romance novels, but just bear in mind my aforementioned gripe. <<less

This was a really nice read. It's not heavy on the heart and doesn't have much drama. Although I felt that the male and female lead moved too fast in their relationship, they both are super cute! The female lead can be a little bit childish, but she is really inspirational. The male lead loves the female lead a lot.

Another plus of the story is the cute cat!

Great romance from Male Protagonist, which I find it rare. Its as much fun as watching korean drama. I believe this will sell if it turn into drama too.. The MC is mature and logical, while Female lead is dummy and easy going, like rich guy x poor girl lovecom.

i like this novel - it's good and fluffy - just do your best to avoid any (___________) comments.

They are made by the translator who is the worst translator I ever read.

Translator should leave any comments for the end of the chapter.

Translator was the worst part of the novel and unfortunately it affects the novel rating.
