ML is too friendly and gentlemanly before. Although, it's a good trait, it's also kind of tiring especially when you're suspicious and feel inferior. Too many girls think they can get together with ML as long as they keep making contact with him. He won't say no since he's a gentleman.

For example, a girl confessed to him. For him, he already properly rejected. But of course, women can't change their feelings that easily. Instead they hide it and make "chance" encounters, such as asking ML if they can ride in his car since she's closer to him and they're going to the same place. ML agrees. Another one, ex gf keeps calling ML (altho, it's a dangerous situation, but the ex gf wanted to get back to him. And with how ML kept the calls from his ex gf from FL, I wouldn't wonder why it blew up. ML is too gentlemanly, he doesn't know that his actions can also give false hope even though he already rejected them. Besides, he should know that rejection doesn't stop someone especially sinceML and FL started where FL rejected to get into a relationship with him. But ML didn't want that and continued to look for her. So, he really should stop that kind of behavior. Like, still acting patient and accepting towards women who have feelings for him.

Good thing he did, though! However, it ended too fast for me to see his new attitude about this. He's still polote but he now knows how to give distance from this women.

Early into the story it is revealed that FL (currently studying in america) had a miscarriage because her bf let her take pills to kill the baby saying they were too young (still going through school) and her father would kill him before promising that they could have a baby or more when they get older, she then catches her bff and bf doing the deed, for some reason she tells Gu Yingjie what happened to her and has a one night stand with him which she wants to keep a secret as she avoids him when she came back to china thus starts whatever is happening in the story.
