MC is extremely unlikeable. He does not have a single redeeming quality. That takes talent. His entire personality revolves around ML. It's "ML this" "ML that". He likes no one but the ML. He says it himself "You're not the ML so I'm not interested." I'm sorry, am I supposed to feel connected to this person? To relate? To empathize? To like him? He's boring, and extremely mean-spirited. Apparently he's supposed to be some sort of cold beauty too, since there's some lines tossed in this mess saying that many random background characters have a crush on him. MC is supposed to be the "cold, attractive and flirty" type but he just came off as "overbearing, irritating and c*cky" to me. Ugh. And I didn't even mention the way he treats the original shou of the story. He constantly calls him a "little b*tch" "slut" etc and many other nasty names, mocks him, degrades him, ignores him, tr*shtalks him... etc. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about this, honestly. Did the author want us to laugh at this? To also see the original shou as a s*upid, pathetic character too? To relate to MC? Because I don't.

Yes, the original shou is annoying. He's the typical "uwu naive and dumb bottom twink" character... but that's it. He's not evil. He had the ML killed. But he didn't do it on purpose. He didn't kill the ML, the ML died for him. The shou did not manage to understand the ML's true feelings BECAUSE the ML is a freaking ice cube!! the MC says it himself, the ML acts cold towards everyone and only HE can understand him because he was a reader in his previous life !! he could literally read his thoughts!! what's not clicking? This is so DUMB. The MC's absolute vitriol towards the shou is unbearably forced and ridiculous. I can't take MC seriously.

Now, idk wtf happened in the middle of this story, around chapter 40 I think. But suddenly there was a scene with some guy getting kidnapped, then r*ped? No idea who tf any of the characters were, no idea what was happening. I checked 4 times if I didn't goof and cl**ked on the wrong "next page" link bc that sudden cut was extremely jarring. Now keep in mind there was ~20 chapters left before I gave up, so the nonsense might have been explained later. But it doesn't matter. That weird scene came out of nowhere, interrupted the story at a very awkward moment, and was plain useless. That's not good writing.

The original shou ends up marrying a woman, for some reason. The twink shou who originally wanted to get dicked down by every man he met. No shame in that, but make it make sense. So, this shou appeared a few times to be annoying, disappeared for 30 chapters, then all of a sudden he reappears with a wife, and then he's gone again. Nothing of substance happens with him. He's a shell of a character who only exists to get in the way of MC and ML's first meetings, then he's thrown away soon after going who knows where... no info where he went. Then boom, a wife.

Now, the ML. You know the drill. He protests about bottoming and wallows in his feelings of emasculation. He gets physically violent with MC whenever the asshat gets too touchy (which you know, deserved), begrudgingly accepts MC's company & simping. Gets f*cked in the ass a few times and hates it because that makes him a woman or whatever... jesus christ grow up. If this story was better and had a healthy couple, MC would have been like you know what sure, you can top me a few times, sorry about that. But nah. Our dear MC is sooo full of love for him that you'll never see him bottom out of consideration (why would you not try both ways with the character you simp for? Make it make sense. That were me I would f*ck AND get f*cked by my hot fav, damn). But you know what. I like the ML. He's the only character I genuinely liked in this webnovel. And I feel sorry for him, for being taken advantage of by MC. He didn't deserve it. And yes, I complained about him not wanting to take it up the ass, but it makes sense for his character. He's a leader who has to keep a manly and harsh attitude towards his people, so him being under someone in bed is very humiliating. Honestly this is the only part in this entire novel that was well-written and logical.

So at one point MC jumps in front of ML, takes an arrow for him and is slowly dying, there's an emotional confession and all that. HAHAHAH GOTTEM. The MC had a thick vest to protect his chest all along. He got a tearful confession out of ML for absolutely no reason. Truly hilarious. If I was ML I would feel like an absolute fool. The MC was faking to make ML confess in front of everyone, by the way. ML's reputation he tried so hard to maintain? Down the toilet. There was a chance to have a good, heartwarming scene here, but the author decided to go the easy route and not have the MC actually injured. Everything was a joke! Why aren't you laughing?

The main relationship. Barf. It comes off as extremely one-sided for 90% of the novel, until the "took an arrow to the chest" confession, really. MC r*pes ML, ML is humiliated bc he secretly liked getting it from behind, still accepts MC's company for whatever reason... The MC is the only person making efforts in the relationship, while ML just accepts it, standing there. Looking annoyed. Barely talking. Eating MC's food. Absolutely no chemistry between the two. Don't expect quality romance. I think there was one or two scenes that were supposed to be cute and heartwarming... Idk. Didn't work.

Side characters boring and one-dimensional. At some point the author tried to have a background romance between as*hole prince who f*cks anything with a pulse and his servant f*ckbuddy who just wanted to get paid before leaving him for good or whatever. I didn't care, both characters were boring and honestly not likeable. Skipped and gave up after that point.

The story revolves around MC's pursuit of ML in the middle of war.

Although the transmigration part is still unclear until the end. And their first time was a bit of a dubcon since the ML was under the influence of aphrodisiac, but ML still admitted he didn't resist MC's temptations hehe
