It bothered me a lot how the MC pretended not to be married to ML just because in the eyes of others, ML's position was higher than his.

The villians are really short lived. They don't have deep scheme, so they are no match to the MC and ML.

The side characters are really good, especially those in Shenjia, it made the first part of the story enjoyable.

when the girl the original MC had a crush on went after him he refused her without a hitch. No bullshit, flat out no's and more. Even noticing that the ML felt uncomfortable around her since he used to like her (technically not him but you get it).
