The translation is really kind of confusing and hard to follow.

Don't read this if you want a good romance or an interesting story that actually explains what's going on.

I couldn't really say when the cp got into a relationship because neither one had a clear point where you could tell they fell in love. Maybe the dual cultivation thing but I wasn't clear what happened during that scene due to the translation I found hard to understand. They're just suddenly kissing after the dual cultivation and we're told offhand they've had s*x after this first fade-to-black s*x scene.

With the ML being an outright bloodthirsty mu*derer I really don't undersrand how the MC fell in love without any qualms Or hesitation, so I'm doubly confused we never got anything like the MC having an I'm in love epithany. Now, I'm normally down for morally gray mls but he crossed the line for me with every killing he did, often without any reason to justify it unlike most mls in cnovels.

it was odd the way The MC treated his mu*dering ways like they were just a bad hobby he had that she could ignore too.

He did later force her to kill someone, which I really disliked and she forgave him a tad to quickly for my taste considering how she didn't want to hurt anyone Before then.

I don't like that he threatened to kill her all the time either, even if only in jest.

it bothers me for a romance story, He only didn't kill her from the beginning because she transmigrated and is incredibly lazy otherwise she would have long been dead.

For the last thing. I know, he never tells her any of his plans because she wouldn't care anyway but it would have been nice if the reader was at least privy to it but the author decided it was better to confuse us too. I swear I don't know what he was doing most of the time. Being in the dark reading a story isn't entertaining.

Shortly, this novel is a slice of life combined with gore, laziness and lastly romance. I recommend to read, if u want a decent romance, tense plus lazy plot, with a lazy FL and big boss ML.

It has some disturbing topics, but these will be thoroughly explained.

P.S. Bed scenes but with not much details.

This story is just for fun. I enjoyed reading it, but it does have many shortcomings, and the rating is a little too high at the moment. 3 stars.

2.5 stars for this one.

Most of the starts are for comedy. There were times where it made me laugh but there were also time which made me frown.

Before reading be prepared. Not only MC and ML the whole novel has selfish characters. So I don't really feel pity for anyone and at the same time don't really feel attached to main character because of their descriptions.

The story message: even though I am capable of doing things, if there is someone else to do it for me then why should I... more>> move?

It's true tho, but my problem is that MC isn't capable enough and ML doesn't think of MC as his equal ones. He never cared about sharing his ideas and plans with MC and letting the MC suffer. <<less

It is so hard to find salted fish novels (or I just do not know how to look properly) and was hesitant to read this because I don't like xianxia that much but this was great. I really loved FL and ML's interaction and how pampering he is towards her (not at the start but iykyk).

I enjoyed reading this, but be warned: this novel is missing the Depictions of Cruelty tag (I don't think just Cruel Characters as a tag wholly describes this novel). Like seriously, there's some jank Lucia shenanigans going on here, for people who have read that novel.

I think it was Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and Lucia that I came across this first, but man, something about human farms just really unnerves me. The ML's bloodline is essentially an elixir, which the current people in charge have been farming for generations. And because the pure bloodline has thinned (as in the ML is the only one left), they essentially set up breeding pits for those with impure bloodlines in hopes to propagate them enough to do things with the blood. It's really sickening... and still they act like they are the side of justice. The reviews said that the ML is bloodthirsty and I agree. But I don't feel an ounce for these abhorrent people, only for the innocents that he decides to kill. There is a lot of organ melting, head smashing and really bloody killing, but human farms definitely take the cake in terms of cruelty for me.

i like this novel, FL is very funny he just wants to live a relaxed and luxurious life like a vacation person and I also really like ML.

But they split chapters, which makes this novel take so long to reach the end and I ended up reading from Mtl. Even so I thank the translator for his hard work.

So far this looks really promising! I mean, it’s a romance novel, if you’re looking for real cultivation novels this probably isn’t for you.

That said, I like it for what it is! I love a laid-back protag who doesn’t feel the need to strive to be the best Mary Sue or show off. She’s content sitting back and enjoying herself and I’m happy to watch her do so. I think the interactions between her and the Ancestor are hilarious and I think the trio of her, the ancestor, and the... more>> snake are really cute together.

It’s a sweet, fluffy novel. Definitely some wild deus-ex-machinas in there, but honestly I expected it.

I’m looking forward to reading more <<less

I levedad ID, it is interesting, and funny. There is drama, romance, and a los pf struggles. The relationship developes in a subtle way and it just clicks at one point. Super recommended. Read it, you are not going to regret it.

To make it simple,

honestly I liked it, but somehow it was a bit bland? Maybe because I couldn't find the depth in the characters... I seems still can't understands our FMC and ML, especially the ML.

... more>> How light is this story? As light as the ML won't make the FMC to bother with his revenge and politic. Actually I liked it, I like to watch our FMC enjoys her life butttt it did get frustrating since the ML planned many things without telling the FMC.

It was a just a so-so light read however I'd still recommend people to read this novel if you want to read a light xianxia story that mainly focused on the romance. <<less

Decently entertaining. I do wonder how they will manage to adapt this. They’re going to end up cutting out most of what makes the story interesting, probably. What’s left will be a very typical rebirth xianxia. That’s a shame.

I give it a 3.5 star rating. It’s different from what I expected based on the synopsis, and in the sense that the ML was an antihero; his history is different from what I’ve seen so far. I liked the early chapters, but towards the end, I struggled finishing the chapters — they were just dragging.

Single angle, story of ML and his bloodline and its decay. MC is a passerby transmigrater who witness what happened to ML alongside him.
nothing exciting or progressive. Few smiles here and there and few pitiful scenes of human greed and suffering against power.

there is no chapter that I did not like. This novel is just simply amazing. The MC is relatable, and we can understand where is she coming from and her actions really reflects that. The ML, I salute him. Despite all of his dark past, he could accept and love the MC way more than other ML. Their relationship is not toxic and they communicate well. Please read this, if you dont you missed a lot.

if you read the rebirth of malicious empress from military lineage, they have the best ML ever, and viola, this ML is way better in my opinion. XJX is by no means bad he is amazing, but SJ is on a whole other level of amazing.

Hmm, I'm losing interest at the start of the Demon Realm arc because I feel like the goals have all been met already? The Shi clan has burned and the cp are very happily together. Just that the MC was "killed" and the ML can't find her soul. So I feel like they just added a new problem to continue the story lol.

Impressions, the story feels simple. There isn't much detail in it. The writing or the translation, not sure which, is kinda confusing. I'm not sure if... more>> the xianxia setting is the issue. Sometimes, I couldn't tell if the descriptions were literal or metaphorical lol. Some sentences were also kinda awkward. And the transitions from one scene to the other feel abrupt and like something was missing or was way too vague that I didn't realise it was a new place/scene. It was worse at the beginning, when you are trying to understand the world and all the new characters and the terms used. At that part, I got the gist but didn't really understand what was happening. I also want to include, the translator website is full of annoying ads. Every time I scrolled down, there was an embedded ad and I had to scroll past it to get to the story. It was like an ad every 3-6 sentences. And then, they split the original chapters so each translated chapter is quite short. I feel it's because every webpage will have those ads at the top and bottom of the page. If they split the chapters, wouldn't the number of views for these header and footer ads be doubled? This just really bugged me. How money-grabbing it felt.

Anyway, for the romance, I thought it was good. I quite like the two main characters. The MC is funny with the ML and the ML really made me feel for him. Their interactions are sometimes cute too.

I really enjoyed some parts of this especially the fluff and trust between the couple. I like that there were no misunderstandings between the two... but I felt lack of their honest communications (ignoring problems esp ML didn't want FL to know his pains)

FL (Liao Tingyan) was a salted fish and laid back character making me laughed at some of her comedic moments. She's not annoying and complement well with the ML. However, she was always being damsel-in-distress and her high cultivation was pretty useless bc ML always spoon-fed... more>> her for almost everything... Meanwhile, ML (Sima Jiao) was a lonely character and cold-hearted but he was doting and lovable to FL. He's powerful that he always can considered as a one-team fighting against many enemies and carried many pains/burdens by himself alone.

* Meeting as FL (low level disciple/cultivator) and ML (Dao Lord Cizang and only one remaining pure blooded in Sima clan)... and them being together.
* Separation (FL's amnesia) - reunited after 10 yrs with ML being Demon general and FL being enemy's daughter (easily together after reunion)
* Demon Realm - living together for 7yrs until the ML's body died and transferring his power to FL
* After 17 yrs, reunited to ML with new body who became mortal 16yo Emperor (Imperial Conflict/Harem arc)
* EXTRA - New Star arc

The cons in this novel were many cannon-fodder being killed, many passerbys and the supporting characters got no depth. Some important details were rushed that readers got no time to be emotional (like when FL got amnesia and ML's body died).

Additionally, last Imperial Conflict/Harem arc was really boring for me tho.... <<less
