Fantasy vibes, cute MC and ML, chill settings. Romcom. Short, with 21 chapters. Tho I wish it was a bit longer, it has a satisfactory ending,

MC transmigrated into a villain vampire who kidnapped the princess. She took a look at the Knight and said "I'll take him instead".

I'm being nice giving it a 3 because it's a naively written story. However, I can see how one would ignore that for the fluffy romance.

The MC's personality is incomprehensible to me. I have no idea how old she is, how smart she is, or anything. Arguably she comes off very clueless and dumb (the ML said it first) despite her occasional reasonable actions.

It's like hitting points by passing the ball through the hoop or into a goal, but you never saw them kick the ball or throw it. Aka... more>> I don't understand how she got there with her personality. That's her actions versus her mostly naive personality. you're telling me the person who used blankets to sneak out from a window in her OWN HOME (wha...) is also thinking long term for vampires. Not to mention, why does the ML like her?

Answer: because it seems like slightly dumb cute girls with a heart of gold is like hook line and sinker for mls. I think it can still be cute but don't expect too much in terms of it's writing imo. <<less

The plot is lighthearted.

FL is far too innocent for my tastes. Her naiveté irritates me. FL's way of thinking is unrealist, and this type of FL is now illogical. She transmigrated in a manga of her younger sister, so I assume she's already in college or older, but the FL's behavior is like she's about to enter high school and doesn't know anything about the world, or as the tag indicates, she lacks common sense.

Though, I can still recommend this to people who are newbie in Chinese novels (maybe).

There is something soo whimsical and fairytale esque about this novel, The prose and innate charms of the characters created an entertaining read. I love the navity of the fl, it was endearing rather than annoying and her interactions with the ML is soo cute 😍, quite well done.

It's fine but kinda disappointing. There's a lot of wasted potential here.

'Specially, imo, with regards to the FL. I was expecting a cooler FL, but she's a typical airheaded ingenue. 😔 The romance is similarly predictable with an overbearing/controlling but all-powerful & beautiful ML.

... more>> All usual descriptors apply for the FL — eg. cute, innocent, naïve, idealistic, generally harmless, angry only for comedy, damsel in need of protection, clueless, dense, etc. You know the drill.

Basically — she's not the sharpest tool in the box, but her lack of knowledge & defenselessness serve as pros to add to her charm (for the cold, OP ML anyway).

Speaking of, the power dynamics b/t the FL & the ML are also very stereotypical for hetromance.

TL;DR I don't think I'd rec this to any of my friends, bc most have similar opinions about these kinds of FLs & these kinds of hetromance dynamics (we're tired of them). But I can see why someone would indulge in this as a fluff read. <<less

The female lead is very naive, but I learned to like her and I find the story to be incredibly cute. I caught myself giggling reading this and it was just such a cute quick read.

Love it, love it.. This story is about vampire and dragon human (?), , but first of all, please note that this story is just for fun, don't take it seriously with logical thinking..i found the s*upid and simple FL is so lovelyyyy.. And the handsome and cold ML just followed all of her s*upid way. And his jealousy because of srawberry cake is so cute. Haha..

I highly recommend this if you want a no-brainer refresher after reading a novel with lots of conspiracies and scheming. This one is such a breathe of fresh air. There's little to no plot and just expect cute interactions from MC and ML. There are few characters as expected of a 21-chapter story. Of course, given the short story, you should lower your expectations.

I wish the author changed up the way she transmigrated though. MC just travelled into a manga, leaving her family behind, but she does not even feel... more>> the smallest reluctance about it. You know the meme "Oh no!... Anyway"? She's just like that lol. Author could've come up with something else that can explain why she has zero reluctance. <<less

4/5 ~ for a cute, sweet and quick read. No extreme worldbuilding or long chapters of info vomit.

Aw, this novel was cute! Well, short story...

With only 21 Chapters, I find it as a really sweet story. I finished it all in one sitting, completely irresistible!

... more>> At first was attracted by the cover (which usually doesn't come so nicely on a CN) and the Japanese LN like title. The plot and setting did feel more like those typical reincarnated Japanese stories, a far cry from the usual CN tropes.

  • Refreshing idea (after reading so many novel transmigration) of comic transmigration hehe.
  • I liked the ML, cold but slowly warms up (as slow as 21 chapters proves to be)
  • FL wasn't entirely loveable, I had second hand embarrassment here and there, but it was a quick feeling, which went away instantly with the story. You'll find her cute, hehe
  • There were definitely no unnecessary misunderstandings.
  • There weren't too many characters intro, or involved. Mainly revolved around ML and FL, which made it an even better pastime option
  • Vampire x Knight*, definitely mentions of blood. Not too graphic, so safe!
Overall, I wish the story was longer and also the translation was done but seeing that it was just recently picked up, it has chapters that could pull a reader enough. MTL was a little hard, but you can get the hang of it in a few chapters. Also, most of the chapters are free on the official website~

Okay, I just had to come back and leave a bad review because wtf!!!!!

listen, after reading a bunch of Chinese novels, my bar for them is set realllllly low. But I tend to avoid a particular category of books that make me want to just destroy the characters.

i understand this is like a side story so that that second male lead can get the girl but eh! The f*ck! They should have just told us exactly how ridiculous it would be.

like once you read it, you’ll get to know that... more>> the author really just never liked the side characters at all. Because like

like I get that she’ll lack common sense but at the very least, can’t she unconsciously have the grandeur of the princess of the vampires?

all she can do is suck the ml’s blood. That’s literally f*cking all. She can’t even ran at high speed. The sun doesn’t affect her. Maybe her eyes reddened when she smells blood. Basically she’s plainly useless.

she abuses everyone else for being s*upid not knowing she’s equally s*upid.

i thought that the male lead would save plot but haha! That n*gga!

an enter f*cking dragon. An entire DRAGON, he can’t fight off a snake??? You think maybe he tried and failed but noo! He literally didn’t try at all. USELESS WASTE!

like an entire vampire princess who live for 1000 years and an equally old dragon and they can’t defeat a snake. Haaaa! S*upid even.

i normally wouldn’t care about plot holes as long as the fluff and chemistry get to me. Ha! We don’t even get a proper romance happen. Every single one of the almost steamy or romantic scenes is interrupted before it can start. Very annoying.

in conclusion, the author didn’t want these side characters to over shadow her main characters and that makes me not even want to read the main book.

i don’t recommend it especially if you like to see someone take charge of the situation. <<less

I read that this is a side story and although I haven't read (and probably wouldn't read) the main story, I still have a guess that Sean, the ML here, is the 2nd ML in the main story so there's no way I'd read it. However, putting everything else aside, this story is quite good. It's funny and lighthearted. Although there's not much of explanation about the world background and the such (perhaps it's written in the main story), I still think it's good for a fast read. Albeit there's... more>> not much depth to the characters but they are funny and the ML is the only one with subtle character development, I guess since the FL is dumb (in a hilarious way) from beginning to the end. Overall, it's 8/10 for me.

Ps. I think that the author has a talent for snu snu though. It's apparent on how she/he can make the atmosphere between Sean and Joyce tense whenever it's needed. Can't we have some detailed snu snu tee hee~~ <<less

The story, in my opinion should be rated around 3.5 or 4 (if I am feeling generous) but 5 stars for the translation.

It could have been a fun story if not for the very few chapters where a lot of plot points and action was all clamped together. Otherwise, it was not a bad read. Perhaps something to read on your way to and fro from work. However, I do agree the ending was highly abrupt. Perhaps another extras or two could have highlighted about their life after the ending... more>> but sadly, there is nothing. <<less

It was a cute little short read I guess... but the ending was very unsatisfying & didn't really make sense. MC is always complaining that everyone has a low IQ but tbh all the characters including her are pretty dense.... smh. In short definitely a novel I would only skim over once & never bother to read again, 2/5 stars for me.

Started off good, but by ch 10 it became a fanfiction written by a middle schooler. I can tolerate FL's naivety, but man the longer the story go the worse she becomes. She acts like one of those innocent "smart" and kind FL in a Wattpad fanfiction. It's so cringy I can't-

The plot is also all over the place and the world settings feels very random and feels simply made up just to create plot.

I usually didn't like a naive and innocent MC but Joyce somehow was able to pull it off and turned it into a cuteness which I couldn't hate at all. Although MC was like a naive teenager most of the time, she was actually quite smart and thankfully, she wasn't dense regarding of the emotion between man and woman.

The plot itself was quite light. There's no angst, drama, or prolonged misunderstanding. And it had a happy ending too. However, there's still so many loose ends in the story that left unexplained by the author till the end.

  • The final villain's appearance felt out of the blue to me. And he was abruptly cut off just like that without any conclusion what would happened to him and his minions.
  • What about Cathy? Did the vampires decide to ignore her existence and move on?
  • What would ML do to clear the vampire's name?
  • I'm also unable to see vampire and human lived in harmony just like what MC envisioned.
  • There's not much lovey dovey moments between MC and ML without them being interrupted by others. It really irked me.

Really cute and refreshing read. It's basically just fluffy romance, with nearly zero conflict. Although the FL is a little too dense at times, it makes sense considering she's working with preconceived notions of how the story is "supposed" to play out. The only problem is it's somewhat shallow, but it's a cute short romance/humour story, so it's not too big of a deal. The ending is also abrupt, but I dunno, it's ok.

Really cute! I loved how the MC and ML got along.

That said, the MC is a bit dumb... but it's cute so I'll forgive that.

The real kicker was how abrupt the ending was. The last few chapters kinda ruined the rest of the story. I was going to add it to my faves, but then.. what a mediocre/abrupt ending.

... more>> Anyways, it's still a quick low IQ read that's pretty fluffy. Reminds me of a fairy tale. That said, keep in mind that the ending is really sudden.

Note: It seems to be a side story. A bit of the author's main novel slips in, but it's not that hard to ignore. <<less

This novel was indeed quite sweet and I liked the characters. The plot, however, was completely missing and I feel like there is about 10 extra chapters that are needed for this all to make sense. Might be that people who have read the main novel disagree and find the novel comprehendible but I sure do not. The translation is marvellous, but the storyline is crazy and even the ending had me saying "That's it?". I give it 2.5-3 stars for the characters, the banter between the FL and ML... more>> and the translation. <<less

This cute story is between a 3 and a 4 for me - has potential to be better. There wasn't enough character development/explanation. Then again, it sounds like this is a spinoff from another story, so that might be why it's so short?

Would be nice to see the story from Sean's POV. I think his inner thoughts would be hilarious, lol. There wasn't enough explanation about the antagonists either - the mystery was actually kind of interesting but then it just flopped at the reveal.
