As for why I did not comment on ML in the previous life, I lost interest in the story completely the moment it all felt as though the story was getting nowhere so although I have my own guesses, I do not know what actually happened.

Say what you'd like about how I shouldn't speak because I haven't read the whole thing, but believe me when I say I really am frustrated to the point that I have put out such a bad review. You can argue that it makes sense because of this and that, but I'd honestly beg to differ.

This next paragraph is my entire thought process as I read through the story. For some reason, I just couldn't get it out of my mind -

Everything is just a set of data, it doesn't matter anymore? Then why do you care about this rebirth, your mother, the royal family, ML, any of it? So you feel nothing for ML, huh. Like hell you don't, you have seen all those actors in their worlds and have any of them ever "rebooted" the world? Of course not, that's why even "Lord God" was shocked! Why are you not wondering why he did it? Ah right my apologies, you simply do not care about him anymore, is that right? Well, doesn't that nicely reason to never letting him explain himself and any of his previous actions (you know, like a responsible adult with an in-depth understanding of the 'system') ? This type of selective indifference makes his character appear inconsistent and just overall nonsensical.

Wife crematorium? That's not what this story needs. The overwhelming sense of dread I get throughout the entire novel is more of a "why am I even reading this? is there something about these characters that I like?", rather than "what the helllll!!! this ML is a jerk, let's see how he redeems himself!". The reason for this is mainly because of the MC. He is, in every sense of the word, lacking.

The biggest problem I have with this novel is the entire concept itself

I want you guys to take away the ML away from the rebirth entirely. Now, what exactly do we have here? Well, to simply put it, we get a protagonist with a lame motive with no strong plot/setting to back it up, bland characters, and chapters that are disappointingly less entertaining than fillers in slice of life anime. Sure, it may not be fair to say that when it's literally a romance BL novel. However, this story is written in a way that it makes it seem as though it wants MC to be strong; not dependent of ML.

Yet, what's leftover in the end is a pile of lukewarm slow-burn made up of nothing once the ML is gone. Their 'love' already dissipated, there is no chemistry between their interactions, and there is probably very little satisfaction for the reader to get even when it is rebuilt.

To be honest, the way MC fell in love to this extent with ML in their first life didn't even make much sense to me. It felt more like the author wanting us to feel bad for poor MC who fell in love in first sight only to be betrayed. I understand what message the author is trying to convey, but it just doesn't work. However, I heard this is actually a common trope amongst this particular genre so perhaps I am unfairly judging this novel. Nevertheless, it is what I as a reader, think.

Apparently, they will do even more world-hopping and they have not even made up in the first world... alright, I am a bit tired and it is late in the night so I will refrain from spouting anymore nonsense than necessary.

His point of view was always the one of an outsider, a superior being to this 'fake world'. Didn't really consider mc's feelings, didn't bother to explain because "MC wouldn't understand anyway".

He made MC suffer so much in the first life, yet he wasn't willing to be more patient and gentle because "it was unbearable and he missed him so much". And he was still saying that he was sorry.

He does change his life but idling away was the biggest part of it.

There were multiple rebirths in the story. Not just the MC but ML and some people who were close to MC were also sent back with their memories intact.

It was interesting to see that it revolves around a novel, a system and actors but the setting of this story was somewhat refreshing. And they don't get back together until the very end

yeah, MC didn't accept all the explanation the ML gave him. You now, it's okay at first live, the ML misunderstood the MC it's like him, a player but actually the MC is just a data. But after that ML doing so much to MC didn't even twitch. You know is kinda frustrating, the ML already paid so much like shoot with arrow etc and gave the MC a power to be player so MC didn't disappear but MC just like I want to talk to ML. But obviously ML is gone (actually the world consciousness helped ML) and he still stuck to that.

Actually the MC didn't let go of the past, he still had the shadow in his heart and he can't overcome it.[
