The love story is extremely satisfying. The MC and the ML are people that you want to root for, an antagonist in the story is the type you personally want to execute, and The Ex is treated miserably enough for readers to be satisfied. The supporting characters are also very interesting... so interesting that they might even be MCs in their own novel. Personally, the most intriguing character in the novel is Grandma He LOL.

It's basically journey of love~~

Love how the author write their expedition in love.. Trying to be the best for their partner.. They also help each other when their in difficulties.. And their difference in life.. Like upper class vs lower class.. I love how the FL never give up her support to ML.. She trying her best to help the ML so that the ML will have a smooth life and future..

And actually I fell bad to that man surname jiang.. He was reborn like FL.. And he thought with... more>> his rebirth he can redeem back the love he lost.. But no.. It's too late.. If there another novel about him and FL.. I definitely support him.. But in this novel there is ML.. ML is more pitiful than him... So of course I choose ML.. I think the villain here is wu yong.. That rapist..!! Hahahahaha

Anyway.. It's worth it... I stay up late night just to finish this quickly tho..

One of the best novels. The last time I’ve read something so touching, sweet and nostalgic was when I read, My husband has scholar syndrome. I loved ittt. Too much, it hurts. I want moreee. But at the same time, happy with the ending. Really didn’t expect the fore shadowing of the story. Not until you finished the Special Chapter, Past Life. I hope I could stumbled upon something like this great of a novel again that is fully translated next time. Thank you so much for hard work.

Such a sweet and nice love story. Make me feel jealous and make me hope to be reborn so I can pursue my husband and not waste my time with passerby in my love life.

This is such a good read 💗 the story does not have excessive villains and is more focused on fluffiness. Although there are sad parts which every story obviously has, the love and warmth it brought still exceeds the pain. I didn't expect the cycle of their lifetime to be this amazing!

What an enduring, timeless, steady love. Beautiful, inspiring, heartwarming... even though it's somewhat slice of life, you will find yourself tearing from time to time because of how precious their feelings for each other were.

What a wonderful novel.

So beautiful!

This was what I thought as I finished reading the final word of the novel. And it was indeed very beautiful.

The '70s is not a timeline I'm used to reading and it was a very unique experience. The novel showed how two people so different from each other, be it their personalities or background found their way back to each other despite when and where.

... more>> Their dependence on each other, stability, and how they made each other grow... this is one of the best relationships I've read.

Both the MC and ML are very deserving of the wholesome and beautiful love and the relationship they had.

I originally read it in the mindset of ~just looking and leaving it if I do not like it~ but it managed to surprise me making me read such a wonderful story and I'm overjoyed.

This made e both relaxed and emotional and I loved every moment of it. <<less

From the get go some real good positives, hard working protagonists facing hardships hand in hand with

no extra dramatic fillers like cat fights or

superficial highlights of flexing.

The anxious and climatic bits are quite briskly skimped or fast forwarded to. Although the story have all sensible nice characters I have some personal biases towards some that gets me still boiling when thinking about it.

It felt like the author tried to justify shitty people with their trauma as a pass card. That just doesn't fly with me.

One girl was sexually assaulted and was saved by ML. However ML was blamed later on for the assault and she never spoke up for him.

If she was sorry for not being able to speak up and shows remorse, that's still alright I suppose, but no. Bish has the nerve to go up to him and ask him literally and I'm QUOTING 'Why have you not asked my parents for my hand in marriage yet?' Yo, the nerrrrve. That gal is on my mental death note. Just heck no. I hope I don't need to elaborate why...

2nd one is the 2nd ML. He as the first crush and spouse of MC was a narcissistic snowflake. Everything was about him. He married for convenience and neglected his wife. After 17 year long of neglect and wife finally becoming fed up, he falls in love with her. Like wow, was about time heh? But no, he still forces her. Forces her to stay with him, forces her to stay bound to him when she wants a divorce. The last author note from his perspective to the readers was "I hope you meet the right person" what a joke. It was never the issue... It was how he treated MC that made her flee the other way. And even then, he comes around and repeats the same BS of coercion and blackmail trying get MC back.

Both of these characters were overly sympathized by the author (and even readers) IMO. That put me off.

How these main characters and their loved ones can show still so much warmth in the face of despair and adversities makes you really tear up and want to give them a nice tight embrace.

The rebirth in itself makes no sense whatsoever and not even a half assed reason like ancestral magical jade bracelet or token was used as an excuse xD Rebirth? JUST BECAUSE!

And it kinda loops around. Waifu looks for hubby, hubby looks for waifu. There's no real start or end to their relationship which also slightly dissatisfying to me. I really wanted to know what the circumstances would be if they just met without one having prior knowing of the other. You know, like normal human beings.

Translation is slightly edited MTL. You'll still have to deal with wrong pronouns once so very often and overly literal translations and etc.

Pacing is a bit erratic with a good steady start but the pace picks up like mentioned in the beginning like a full on sprint then just flimsy time skips back and forth towards the very end so although albeit a bit irritating, it's definitely bearable.

The historic insight is quite refreshing compared to the heap of modern celeb rich lives or ancient royal intrigue stories that's out there. <<less

Very very good but quite slow paced. Luckily for new readers you won't have to wait for new updates.

I always found myself salivating for the food, then I remember I don't like Chinese food 😅 As you can see the descriptions are nice :p

The story is short and complete? The translation is good/

I loved the novel it is a good slice of life story with farming? Cooking slowly doing business to make money.

The romance is slow but so good and we get a happy ending Yay

A slow slice of life story, quite enjoyable for a rainy day. The romance was great as the two main characters grew to depend on and support one another. Honestly the female lead was extremely refreshing up until a certain point... ... more>>

I really like how this gives a very real look (from what I can tell) of Chinese society on an individual/personal level. I mean, it gives a look into a community one can't know about unless it's from the perspective of a person that has actually lived in it. There's a lot I can unpack here just from what the MC goes through in just her day-to-day life.

Even though this is supposed to be a romance story, I keep getting distracted by all the yummy food (as for the translator... more>> providing the food pics and videos--I can't tell if I want to be thankful to you for giving us visual aids or be very dour because these extra bits makes me only want what I can't get even more -_-|||). Really, don't read while hungry.

Speaking of, the romance is done well (slow and steady) so the interactions between the main couple seem natural (no one suddenly falls in love out of nowhere, except the MC, but she's reliving her past life and is excused from this trope). And I appreciate that the MC's character and her interactions with the side characters are also explored and given depth too. The story is well-paced and balanced, so it makes for an enjoyable and easy read, especially suited for leisurely reading. <<less
