This novel feels like a warm hug. At fist I thought it was boring because there is not much tension. But the plot develops and the story owns up to the hero halo effect. I loved it. The one cringe issue with this story is the grooming vibes of the love story. A man of 300 years and a child of 16. I wish their love story would develop only after she is no longer a child.

I like the author, I like the translator but no, not this story. There are a lot of cute moments and the characters are all really adorable but nothing much plot wise. This has been on my tbr list forever but I keep skipping. This is sooo good. I love that it doesn't follow the normal cultivation tropes. The sect is already successful and rich and doesn't need our MC to boost them up. This novel feels like a warm blanket. It’s just so so pleasant to read! It’s funny, and while there’s no real drama between characters, the story is still lively and engaging. My one quibble is that the romance (for me) was a little too saccharine, but certainly not enough to take me out of the story.

Overall a lot of fun. I’d say the first 100 or so chapters were a 5/5 but it suffered later on due to a lack of actual character development and becoming much more cliche. It just felt like the author defaulted to the usual path in these stories, but there was a lack of worldbuilding and ultra-convenient plot cliches to get the power levels where the author wanted for the final bits. Still a lot of fun and worth reading, but just not a 5/5 to me.

Juggling between work and reading this novel made my work look less irritating and tolerable, such sweet novel full of love and unity and understanding was undeniably a balm to m jaded heart.

Kong Hou and Huang Zhong were like any couple, for Zhong Xi, it was attraction at first sight and then slowly the love grew deeper. For Kong Hou, it was a companion who understood her better, indulged her, sheltered her and followed her way of going through decisions.

Its almost like a coming of age novel from the perspective of Kong Hou, a story of receiving redemption from the perspective of Huang Zhong, a story of a sect mocked by others but have strong familial bond within themselves, a story of Masters and their disciples who are always united and have each others back.

This novel shows how slight changes in decisions can change destiny of many lives and consequences. Kong Hou was the person who made all of these possible.

The pursuit of nine elements to save Zhong Xi, the novel writer Talented Author, the amazing Master Wang Tong's antiques can be said enough of. This novel is the sweetest most one I have read so far.

Honestly the fluffiest cultivation story I've read. I had trouble stopping reading because it is a good feel-good read. Also, I've never seen cultivation stories do found-family and not absolutely destroy that family later with drama and angst.

No loose ends, a really sweet romance, realistic without being depressing, and a main character that is cheerful and optimistic without being an idiot. ALSO not much collateral damage happens here. Honestly, GOLD STANDARD for this type of story. If there were more happy cultivation romances like this I'd read a lot more... more>> cultivation stories in general.

Our main character is overpowered, but she does sort of stay within the realm of possible. She ascends fast, but still runs into people she can't beat, and has to ask for help with. If you hate 'everything-goes-right' stories where the MC doesn't really run into any major difficulties, this is not for you.

Has the benefit of one of the most memorable and likeable casts of characters I've read in a CNovel. I'd love a book starring any of about half of the side-characters. <<less

I loved it! It was funny, light, no heavy drama, ridiculously shameless sect members, fluffy and full of adventures.

I love all the characters, their lines, outrageous logic and just a light, full of adventures, action and fluffy novel.

This is the best cultivation novel I've found, the MC is amazing and the ML is so cute

I totally recommend this if you're looking for a good read.

I was genuinely upset when I realized it was over and there were no more chapters. This didn't get boring at all, and I felt like I could read at least another couple hundred chapters without stopping. Everything was great, you won't regret reading this.

I've dragged other novels for this before and was reluctant to bring it up because the rest is so good you brush it off and the relationship feels healthier but then I'd feel hypocritical if I didn't. <<less

I've reread this 3 times already. It's definitely a comfort read for me. I love the characters, the setting, and everything else about it.

I usually read a novel based on the description but this time I read a few reviews and decided to read. And I was... RIGHT.

The world was beautiful and complete. Righteous sects were truly righteous and honest. Sect masters were the cutest, and I loved it when elders babying our main couple.

FL is really likable and lovely. ML fully deserved our FL. I couldn't be more happy with their interactions. Beware of tooth cavities because of sweetness.

I regreted not reading it as soon as I read the synopsis, coz I thought: a relaxing cultivation story must be boring. Wrong!

First of all the MC, omg, since she's a kid I really wanted to pet her head and pinch her cheek. This shows how skillful the author is in visualizing an adorable lovable girl through writing.

I feel like I'm taken on adventures into the many wonders of cultivating world.

The ML, is just wonderful. The love is fluffy and gives you toothache, but in an addictive way. The other characters are just so likable as well. And damn, they are funny!! Even the most serious or sad situations have humor.

And then the translation! Dreams of Jianghu, thank you so much for the hard work. You made it felt like the story is already well written in english. I think, keeping the colors of the novel to still be as warm and funny must be quite challenging. But everything was delivered way above average. Respect! <<less

I have nothing to say except how amazing this story is. There's no mindless, irrelevant squabbling between characters/sects or pointless characters and plot development; everything is just plain heartwarming and lovely.

Awww, this is a very cute story. Not really any drama at all, especially since the MC is the type to just sit on the side and watch the drama. The love is super sweet, eating dog food, but at least you're not alone? All the other characters eat a lot of dog food too lol!

It's really funny too- the synopsis description is very literal. Would recommend.

I liked it. It's a nice change of pace from other cultivation novels. Cultivation was not the focus of the story. Rather it was the day to day life of the MC. Some good humor and a very likeable MC. Cultivators act much differently than in other novels. Some role reversals that were interesting. Not much fighting, very peaceful. Hilarious. Turns a lot of the common cultivating tropes on their heads, and just when you think things are getting serious, you end up laughing. The MC is a bright girl with phenomenal luck, and the ML learns quite a bit from her carefree ways. I love how her sect is always mentioned as being known for their laziness, love of eating, gossip, and fun, yet somehow is still in the top 10.
