Pei Shaoze unintentionally heard about a novel called Accidental Mark. Once he woke up, he found he had transmigrated into the alpha scumbag in the book, Pei Shaoze. A sweet, fluffy novel without drama. It's enjoyable and nothing particurly annoying, definitely worth a read. I can't give it 5 stars because it's a bit too vanilla and nothing extraordinary.

One of my omegaverse favorites! A story without a blood dog drama and the Alpha respects the Omega from the beginning to end. The interaction between the leads are cute and engaging. I didn't get bored until the end; even made me cry a bit on the sweet ending between the two. For me, the ending is really satisfying.

Very pure read.

I liked the MC, he was very level-headed and relateable, but at times not really fleshed out as a personality.

The story also tends to focus a bit much on the details of the dramas, too much for me. I wish they gave more scenes of the MC and ML together.

The respect they have for each other was very pleasant to read.
I'm not a big fan of the ABO genre, but there wasn't a tooo big focus on it actually.

It was nice, but I would not re-read it.

I loved this story it combined my favorite types of story settings:

  1. Omegaverse
  2. Transmigration
  3. System entity (game type setting) where you need to accomplish tasks that give you points to be able to go back to your world
At less than 100 chapters this is a great short story. The omegaverse universe setting is the world the ML transmigrated to. This portion of the story doesn't have any dubious consent or toxic activities, like you would normally see in these types of settings. If anything at the beginning of this part of... more>> the story, the ML is doing everything they can to keep those toxic and dubious consent actions from happening between himself and the MC as they did in the original novel setting.

There is a system type entity that at the beginning of the transmigration is trying to keep the ML on track with the original novel setting awarding and detracting different types of points with a goal of the ML returning to their original world.

SPOILERS AHEAD

The ML decides to go against the "system" and keeps to his true personality, and is able to find other ways to gain points from the MC to be able to return to their original world. He catches feelings for the MC and they fall in love. He actually reaches enough points to go back to his original world at this point the system gives him rewards. One of the rewards was to option to remain in the world for the remainder of his natural life. The system explained that if he chose this option after the end of his natural life, he would return to his original world without any time having past from when he transmigrated (like waking up from a long dream).

The ML never tells the MC he's from a different world. Once they live out their lives (get married, have twins, have a successful career) they grow old together and die the same day. They definitely have a HE in the novel world.

The last extra (chapter) of the book ends with the ML returning to the real world after as if waking up from a long dream. He finds himself at the same age he was when he initially transmigrated.

He sets out to try to find the MC (one of the rewards the system gave him when he achieved all the points needed initially to come back to his real world, was to tell him that the MC also existed in the real world). After about a week of being back in the real world, the ML is able to find the MC. It turns out the MC has all the memories from the novel world as well (hinting that they both transmigrated from the real world into the same novel world at the same time, although it's never revealed whether the MC was also gaining points or if he was aware that he was in a novel world). So they get to live to live together with a promise to live every other life looking for each other and always being together

So fluffy and sweet it's a definite read recommendation for me. <<less

It's one of the best omegaverse settings I've read. Only for that, it deserves a 5-star rating. The story was also great and the couple couldn't be more sweet, healthy, and well-balanced. It's hard to find an AO pairing like these two.
I must admit that some details were left loose if I had to find faults. It didn't affect my reading, I only realized it when I finished it. For example,

MC transmigrated into a game and had a system guiding him. From the very beginning, he didn't plan to follow the rules of said system, and that was cool. But to 'win' the game (and survive) MC had to complete missions or lose points if they failed. And he did fail on purpose. He had 35 points left around the middle of the story, but the system stopped reminding him of missions or how many points he had left. I forgot about it until the end 😂. I guess the author forgot too, LOL.

Either way, that was not too relevant to the story.
It was an incredible read for me! I need more omegaverse like this one, please!!!

This novel left me with endless aftertaste, without any lingering emptiness or suppressed, subconscious irritation like most other short novels would. The plot and progression were very neat, the pace steady and the ending was neither abrupt nor did it leave me feeling a knot (like, feeling unfulfilled/regrets/something isn't right/needing more details) in my chest.

The story focused around the main characters without side stories and much mention of side characters, but by no means was it boring. The author did a good job in making it refreshing despite the lack... more>> of conflict and detailed interactions with passersby. There were also no forgotten characters, everyone have their own story although only mentioned in passing.

The relationship between the two leads, I don't need to emphasize how ideal it is as I believe other reviewers have made it very clear. I was initially a bit impatient at Pei Shaoze's misunderstanding of his own feelings, but it didn't last long because even the misunderstanding itself was rather sweet. Not to mention, the subsequent development didn't betray my insistence in not dropping the novel. They're both very cute, especially at the start of their relationship where the two of them didn't really know what to do. I really can't help but want to squeeze them into my arms...

Pei Shaoze's support and respect towards Cheng Xia gave me a better idea of how I am supposed to treat my partner.

All this while I thought the 'I love you so I'll raise you' trope of the entertainment industry was already sweet enough. But President Pei's attitude of encouraging his partner for growth while supporting behind the scenes is peak cuteness. I love them too much.

I hesitated since last year before deciding to read this novel, as ABO is not my favorite setting, not to mention I've had enough of the big shot top x ordinary but hardworking bottom pairing. However, this novel completely overturned my prejudice, it truly deserves the good rating.

I used to think that a novel that could make me long for a prequel/sequel is very good. But this time, Accidental Mark made me think 'Its enough, everything is already perfect.' I feel truly complete. <<less

I loved this story. It's about a sweet and healthy relationship without a lot of drama and dog blood, which is a rarity nowadays. This novel has a few good sides. First of all, the relationship between MC and ML is really good; it doesn't make you question whether it is love or Stockholm syndrome. They both respect each other; MC is considerable and doesn't make s*upid decisions that can harm ML. MC did everything right. It's a shame that despite MC's gentlemanly behavior, there was still a small misunderstanding,... more>> and the start of the relationship was kind of chaotic but funny.

Secondly, it is an ABO setting, but there isn't any abuse or discrimination. Every gender is respected. ML is an Omega, but he isn't abused, as happens in many novels. MC is a true gentleman. You can't find fault with his behavior.

Finally, MC himself is really interesting.

In most novels about transmigration, the MC has died and can't go back to the original world. In other cases, MC is an orphan or neglected person who has nothing in the original world and is willing to stay in the new world. But MC is different; he hasn't died and has family who need him. Plus, he has a time limit to finish his task. From the start, since you know that this is BL, you can guess that MC and ML will fall in love. It was interesting to find out how MC would deal with the system and what he would choose. He would definitely be in a dilemma. And the resolution of this problem and the ending of the story were too satisfying.

Most of all, I liked that the relationship felt natural. Sometimes when I read novels, I can't figure out why the main characters fell in love with another person. But not in this case; both MC and ML have attractive characters, and their inner thoughts make everything clear. It doesn't seem rushed or ambiguous. Their relationship is wonderful. It is true and pure love.

All in all, the story is interesting. It is well-written; it is more serious than I thought, but still, there were many funny moments. Most importantly, it is sweet and relaxing reading. The translation is really good, which makes the reading experience even better. <<less

😭 It's soo good. I'm happy for both the MC and ML.

The storyline has everything you need.

It's fluff, warm, dog blood, passion and respect for the partners.

It's a must read, I'll highly recommend.

Best ABO novel, so sweet, I am getting cavities, both protagonist love and respect each other, it's refreshing, and the MC personality is written nice even thought it's the same though character but he actually has emotion, feelings and thoughts, ML is the sweetest and at the same time principled person, I like how he is emotionally powerful (cause he is indeed powerful in that aspect)

Pei Shaoze does not meet the standard, it is the standard!
Love every part of this story, it's 100% fluff.

It's a story that can soothe the heart, I was so sad the last few days, but when I read this story I couldn't help myself, laugh, curse and fall in love with the main couple.

I cried with one of the extras for but I felt so happy with how it all ends, it's beautiful and great, if you're like me who just wants fluff and a little misunderstanding and mild drama in a story, this is for you. I promise you won't regret it.

I just finished the main story and it was so adorable. It was just... really cute and sweet. I kept waiting for the original love interest to show up and make trouble and tbh I'm a touch disappointed that he never did, but the story was just cotton candy fluff all the way through.

One of the perfect ML I have read. One of my favorite novel with the whole misunderstandings trope, it's so cute !!!. I love their communication, consent and respect for each other. Although there's a huge age gap, I felt like the ML did not take advantage of that power imbalance and I like him for that.

Also love the fact that the extras reappeared here and there making the whole novel cohesive. And unlike other entertainment showbiz novels where the MC and ML were super OP, here I felt like... more>> the perfect balance of hard work and goldfinger, like the MC did not have everything given to him from the get go, and also the author has done some solid research regarding online dramas so props to that as well, overall thanks to the translators for such an amazing novel. <<less

I'll skip the "I usually don't read ABO" and I'll say this is a lighthearted, cute and soft romance. It's like reading pure sugar, MC is responsible and serious but so cheesy and ML is sunny and sweet. There's a noticeable age gap (MC is 30 years old in the real world and 26/27 in the book and ML is 18 year old in both world so... it's kind of tricky if you ask me, 'cause MC think of ML as a child in the first part of the story... more>> and he thinks as himself as father figure or a big brother since his younger brother in the book I'd ML same age) but it's a good respectable and cute romance. Stumbled upon this on my tik tok fyp and immediately binge-read it the same day. I have no regrets. Its really good if u want to distress and want to read some lighthearted romance and fluff. Overall, reading this as my first ABO novel makes me yearn for more. The translation is also great so kudos to the translators.

Very cute fluffy story that I scrolled past a lot of times before because of the ABO cliche sounding plot (turns out it really isn’t), but finally picked up.

Relationship-wise, cute that they’re both direct and there was no hurtful misunderstanding. Once they figured their own feelings out they acted on it quickly which was quite refreshing.

Switching POV from conquering the business world (MC) to learning how to act (ML) was satisfying as well. Got to see how MC strategised to takeover the industry and remove the eyesores while making use... more>> of his past experience, and also see how a budding actor face slaps everyone with his dedication and growing acting skills.

(wish there was smut but oh well lol)

Overall, a very feel-good, happy story that is well-paced. Supporting characters also mostly developed. (Younger Brother Asking For Salary Raise haha)

1) acting detail (as a fan of skip beat lol), wish there were even more details on ML’s acting journey (although it was covered to an extent, felt a bit OP at some points) would have liked to have seen even more development interpersonally/personal development/some backstory that enabled him to become a film emperor level actor

2) More MC-ML heart skipping moments. Like there was

This story honestly is a breathe of fresh air, in what is usually such a very toxic genre. I can’t believe how many times I skipped over this story! It’s a gem.

The MC is amazing, caring, patient! Just overall the perfect alpha.

the ML is pure, strong, confident. Nothing like the usual dumb, easily swayed by pheromones weak omega.

From start to finish I enjoyed the flow of the story. They communicated well no s*upid tropes or love triangles or unnecessary drama. Everything that happened fit the plot and flow of the... more>> story. The romance was great, not to fast and I believed that they wholeheartedly loved each other. This story had moments where I laughed hard and times when I sobbed. The ending was just what I needed for the story to come full circle. It left me feeling sad and fulfilled at the same time.

An adorable warm and healing story. It did get a little redundant after about chapter 75 but the side stories made up for it. I feel like this should be a bit more in the Shonen Ai category since all the cars drove right on by 🚗💨 but it was still a good read and is well translated

It felt a bit repetitive for me, with the MC and ML being always perfect and doing everything right, nothing really was at stake. And the jobs feelt repetitive, I can tell the author studied a lot about how a drama is made, which is great but to read every thing that needed to be done was dull for me, I would have prefered if the author cut some of those parts up and made the story be around 70something chapters long.

And for the me expecting something different part: from the synopsis I was hoping Cheng Xia to be the one to do the wooing and try to win President Pei over, but the relationship happened naturally and Cheng Xia only took the iniciative when it came to them doing the do, which is fine but I would have been more entertained if Cheng Xia was the one who did most of the persuing in general.
