Pei Shaoze unintentionally heard about a novel called Accidental Mark. Once he woke up, he found he had transmigrated into the alpha scumbag in the book, Pei Shaoze. The omega protagonist of the novel, Cheng Xia happened to have his pheromones out of control. The original scumbag not only took the opportunity to mark the protagonist but also killed the protagonist’s parents and ruined his reputation. The protagonist was completely blackened and returned five years later to stab the scumbag to death.

Pei Shaoze, “……” What type of melodramatic plot was this? Why not invest well in movies and TV shows when he was the boss? His brain was used to bully the protagonist. No wonder why he would be stabbed to death.

Therefore, he thoughtfully sent Cheng Xia home and helped select a school drama for Cheng Xia. “This drama is suitable for Cheng Xia and has the potential to be popular.”

It turned out to be really popular. Cheng Xia said, “Thank you, President Pei!”

“Cheng Xia should expand his shows and challenge himself.”

Cheng Xia whose fans soared to the tens of millions. “Thank you so much, President Pei!”

I've unfortunately dropped it. It really isn't my cup of tea. Might be because im not really used to protagonist gong? And a kind naive blushy shou?

Perhaps, I've read a bit too much inchresting main characters that MC and ML fails to capture my interest.

ML (Alpha) is nice, very responsible. But his decision on extending his time contradicts his previous view. [Aka filial child to his real parents] MC (omega) is good too. But he's too, , , boring?

Both of them are boring. Everything is too vanilla, which confuses me... more>> bc I generally like this kind of trope.

Then again, MC's jumping too conclusions is too embarrassing to read. He's also somewhat always blushing (??). Which wouldn't have happened if ML didn't let him misunderstand. Then again, this degree of misunderstanding is light compared to others so who am I to complain.

The romance was also kind of abrupt? It's fast moving, no warning, just poof. (Maybe thats what made me lose interest?)

There are obvious plot holes.

ML went thru so far and wide to research the company + surrounding cities but neglected thw most important one; his gender. Which is not in lign w his character imo, since he is mentioned as always so careful and all. A new gender, must be confusing so why neglect it

I usually am too lazy to review but for my favorite novels, I'll make an exemption.

This is one of the most adorable novels I have ever read and has one of the most healthy relationships either!

MC is one of the more mature gongs that I have ever read. I love the small details of his characters that made him more and more real. And his depiction of being put in a different world is actually quite spot on for me.

Some people were wondering how MC could not research more about his biology being an alpha but I think it makes sense considering that he wasn't even going for the romance route as well as the fact that he was from a normal world before going to the ABO world. Common knowledge sometimes gets lost because people don't talk about them, they grew up through them and MC didn't inherit the OG scum's memories. The adjustment period made it more real for me to read.

And the ML is the absolute cutest person I have ever seen. Straightforward and knows what he likes while being pure? HELL YES! I like how clear-headed and goal-oriented the ML could be while still being able to balance out a romantic relationship. And the fact that his brain hole when it comes to MC is cute as well as abnormally large is hilarious.

Their dynamics was one of my most favorite ones that I have read. An oblivious workaholic Alpha who didn't know that he was even pursuing someone x a hardworking and talented ML who is a huge romantic.

Highkey love their kind of misunderstandings that is absolutely hilarious compared to ones that makes me cry. Lowkey wanna see them clear up the misunderstandings, I bet it would have been hilarious.

It be hilarious if they had like different answers to questions like their first date, when did President Pei started to court Cheng Xia, etc., I bet it be a riot.

Wonderful too wonderful!!

i can't believe I put off reading this 5x! I actually tried reading this 5x but when I saw the summary I was like "meh next time.."

Now reading this I am totally satisfied! I love the fluff and how different this is to other "system" novels. Their relationship is healthy and everything just seems... easygoing.

ok, this novel is really my cup of tea, well first is. Consent is something allot of abo novels don't have, so I was pleasantly surprised, especially because of the title accidental mark I thought that it was a smut abo but I was wrong. What I got is sweet novel, with a respectfull alpha protagonist and a hard working, talented and lovely omega. I like all of the scenes about cx acting and the ending was good, even though I would have liked a few extras about cx and... more>> president pei children and brother and a few of the actors that acted alongside cx but its fine.

I've finished this novel long time ago but I would never stop to recommend this again and again! Everyone please read Accidental Mark!!

Accidental Mark is such a gem in A/B/O-themed story. The MC is respectful and mature Alpha and the ML is such a cute and bright Omega. Their relationship is just so cute and healthy. No unnecessary drama, no twist, just pure fluff and sweet love story. The plot isn't centered on their relationship only, but also acknowledged me more about how entertainment industry (probably) works.

This is the fluffiest and sweetest love story ever!!! If this is the level of quality of every romance novel out there then I'd gladly swallow all the dog food hahahaha you can never go wrong with this one. I wanted to write a comprehensive review instead of a reaction-type review but I just can't properly explain how much I appreciate this story so just trust me and read it! ;)

A nice, sweet, cute story about the entertainment industry.

Pei Shaoze is a serious businessman with little interest or time for romance. On suddenly waking up after transmigrating into a novel he recently heard from his sister, he is surprised and badly culture-shocked on realising it is an ABO setting. Yes, *that* ABO setting.

Things are unintentionally comedic in his relationship with a new and upcoming artist - Cheng Xia, an omega - who is the protagonist of the novel and the character who Pei Shaoze is meant to build a positive... more>> impression on. This is the first time I've read a novel which takes the culture shock value into account!

Pei Shaoze keeps treating Cheng Xia like a younger brother at first, to be cared for and supported. But in this strange novel world, they're on opposite gender spectrums and his special "care" is misinterpreted every time as romantic interest. Of course, once the relationship genuinely develops, those old misunderstandings end up proving useful.

The age gap between them does feel a little strange at first - especially to Pei Shaoze himself. He was 30 years old when he transmigrated into a 26 year old novel Pei Shaoze, while Cheng Xia is just 18. He continues to feel mentally 30 throughout, so the relationship development is well shown and begins mostly from Cheng Xia's end.

As for the power imbalance, one can say that despite Pei Shaoze being the boss and Cheng Xia an employee, Cheng Xia's status as protagonist helps bridge that gap. In the original novel, Cheng Xia ends up stabbing Pei Shaoze as revenge, so his protagonist halo is quite strong.

In the end, all I will say is that this is a wonderful comfort read! Do give it a try if you're interested. The translator has also done a wonderful job!

It's a sweet and fluffy novel with plenty of dog food. There's also a bit of drama and face-slapping, but less misunderstanding than you might expect from what the description says--the MC and ML get together earlier than you might expect as well. Their relationship afterwards is very stable, and there isn't some drama like a white moonlight coming out of nowhere.

Also, finally an ABO BL where the leads properly respect and communicate with each other and there isn't rampant s*xual harassment and non-con everywhere because of 'pheromones'. Don't... more>> get me wrong, those novels aren't bad, they're good in their own, cheap drama (or dark) way, but they aren't wholesome. This, this is a wholesome novel.

Other than the romance aspect, the main characters are part of the archetypal "perfect pairing", godly looks, godly wealth, godly talents, godly luck. They're really living the life. Heck, even their pheromones are top-tier, although this isn't mentioned very much. That's certainly one trope that this novel didn't subvert, but who am I to criticize? My reading list is full of this stuff.

There's some unexplained things, though:

At first, the system appeared like it was going to be important; however, it faded into the background after a while and entirely disappeared for the latter half of the novel. It's also never explained.

The MC seems awfully unconcerned with his sister from the original world... like, he mentioned her in his thoughts in passing once, just once. He also never mentions anyone else from the original world, either.

Before I read this I'm finding novel that can pass the Your Memes Are Better Looking Than You and You're Beautiful When You Smile standard and I recommend yall to read this!

Thank you author for this wonderful novel and ofcourse to the person who translated it <3 Another novel to rate 5 stars! I honestly like the plot especially the ending I will miss them for sure. I hope someday I can find my own President Pei >< I really admire their healthy relationship it's so cute. President Pei raised... more>> my standard too high how can I find someone like him T_T. This was such a sweet novel ahhh my teeth are still hurting!! A little slow at the first half, I'll admit that I got a bit annoyed by all the details author were writing, considering the fact that this is only a 90+ chapters long novel. But the pace picks up at the second half.

The system is pretty much non-existent and there's no dog blood drama. I really loved both ML and MC's interactions anddd the extras are chef's kiss *muah*.

This was a beautiful, wholesome story!

However, there are a few remarks:

... more>> 1. This story gets better the more you read! For me, the rating gradually went up to the full 5* only till I finished the last Extra chapter. It is like fine wine that needs aging. So, this was not a 5/5* immediately from the start. See reasons below.

2. The story is slow in the beginning. The author is very detailed in writing about all the scenes, audition process etc. that I speed read many of these descriptions. It was too slow to my taste. After 75% of the chapters or so the flow and pacing picks up.

3. The romance was equally slow and tame in the beginning. And maybe therefore I didn't feel that much chemistry between cp till MC was

I think? Even after they confessed I found their love quite tame and it didn't pull at my heart strings as I hoped. It just gave me the feeling this was a sweet, healthy romance. That's it. Only after favourability level reached 100 did I really feel the fluff that a full 5* couple usually gives me.

4. I deducted 0.25* because in the end I hated that

cp sent their twins to a boarding kindergarten at the age of 3 because they were so busy. So, they only saw their kids on the weekends... Seriously author???? I have never heard of a boarding kindergarten before (and via my close relatives in China who mingle with the super rich I know a lot about how they raise their kids.... Does it even exist??) ? This sounds so exaggerated. I already cringe how many stories think it is totally fine (Chinese culture sucks in this department) to throw their kids to the grandparents to be raised. (I get that if parents need money to survive and cannot take care of their kids for that reasons). But a boarding kindergarten is over the top. At least hire a ton of nannies so at least you see the kids in the evenings before bedtime. I can't 100% like parents, especially not a cp that I fully ship, that are OK not seeing their kids for 5 days a week. Especially when they are still in their todler phase. So, I just sigh here and try to excuse this as another cultural difference I need to overcome when reading Chinese BL (and I'm a Chinese myself)

Fluff, fluff and more fluff.

Personally I really enjoyed President Pei breaking ABO tropes left and right.

I would have liked a bit more excitement since the MC Pei solved things a bit too beautifully, but that is his character setting and the relationship and comedy was the highlight of this story anyway.

A good read to reset your heart after too many dog-blood novels.

I am speechless. This novel is just so good that I always come back for updates every single day. I really like the MC and ML. They are so good together and so heartwarming. The MC is so considerate, respectful, and really mature which is very rare in this type of novels considering his identity in the other world is an Alpha. The ML is so sunny and bright that he complement MC so much and is not the typical weak and clumsy shou and in fact was strong, determined,... more>> courageous and really lovable. It's not a full review but halfway through the chapters already sold for me.

It's slow romance but only for MC. He's pretty dense haha. It's even funnier how he's still new to ABO. A lot of moments where anything could go wrong because his lack of knowledge bit only didn't happen, but he gets surprise by what should be common knowledge.

Oh boy ML is also my favorite. In this kind of genre we could have a shou whose only qualities is to be pitied (not that is anything wrong). Shou... more>> is not only cute, but he is very precious.

Chemistry between the two is so good that I want to smack the MC for being too dense xD. <<less

Its quite a nice story and unique transmigration idea. The story is originally an omegaverse dog blood face-slapping story but the Transmigrator! Gong forcibly changed the plot doing preemptive measures (poor system is helpless and can only deduct points LOL) thus preventing all those depressing things, preserving the shou's cheerful personalty.

The story revolve around career growth and romance. Faceslapping became really minor instead it was cheerful as cute. I'm especially entertained with the shou's brain hole (VERY imaginative). The ending is pretty unique for a transmigration story.

At the fanwai, its nice to see them grow old with their cute twins and the System's clue about the shou's existence to the real world is a pleasant surprise. They get to spend life together the second time. So sweet.

Okay first of all, I really don't know what to say because arghhhhh for me this novel is 100/100 ! I MTL-ed but the MTL is very readable and it's not hard to understand.
    • FLUFF!
    • Gentle and Sweet Alpha
    • Cheerful and not Weak Omega
    • The plot isn't dragging
I like everything in this novel! I think I seldom read novels like this one because most of the ABO novels are full with h**ny MLs who only know to mate 24/7 lmaoooo but our ML here, Pei Shaoze, is a really gentleman Alpha, who waits the our lovely Omega, Cheng Xia to fully open up to him.

Shaoze holds himself and did not falling for the sudden Cheng Xia's pheromone. He wrapped Cheng Xia with a blanket/towel and wait until the doctor come to give CX medicine. I think it's so sweet of him. He is very gentle. Like, a real gentleman. Even though Shaoze realizes that he actually like CX as a partner/lover, he didn't just kiss CX or what. He really cares about CX and tries to protect CX from the behind.

They finally kissed in chapter 58-59 at the police academy!!!! Aaaaaaaaaa

Which I think it really sweet of them. Also there are no unnecessary drama. Thankfully Shaoze explained about the misunderstanding about him liking another omega in his circle at the beginning. All the scandals are being handled really smooth and not really being cruel (?) idk if yall understand this but as an example, someone wanted to harm CX but Shaoze didn't do underhanded method like crippling the wrongdoer or what. Instead they went to court and give the wrongdoer what they deserve according to the law.

I was smiling like a fool reading the whole novel. Now I also want a Shaoze for myself haha

This novel is pure fluff and make sure to read all the extras too! There are 11 extras which are of course full with fluff and toothache

I can see myself keep coming to reread it in the future heeeeehehehee

It’s a very sweet novel. The MC is a breath of fresh air compared to most alphas in other ABO novels and is wholly respectful and caring towards the ML. I find that a lot of my pet peeves with ABO (the omega basically is implied to be inferior, arrogant alpha, possessiveness that is annoying at best, and uninspiring love at first mating) are nowhere to be seen in this novel. The ML has a smooth path with the MCs help but also through his own efforts and the MC... more>> acknowledges that he can’t baby the ML and keep him sheltered if he wants the ML to grow as an actor. I just think there’s something sweet about a couple that is actually mature and caring of each other and not portrayed as a stalker and his poor love interest. <<less

This is an ABO themed transmigration novel where the transmigration MC is the alpha and the ML is the omega.

The humour of the plot made me laugh so many times. I mean, how can two people carry on the same conversation on completely different tangents. The misunderstandings are hilarious!

I love the characters especially the main couple. The MC is gentle to ML. Yes, consent is always sexy. And I feel for the ML, he's unexpectedly thirsty. Haha! There's also the MC's brother/professional wingman and the abandoned system who just literally... more>> gave up. Lol

Overall, a short and sweet love story. <<less

If you, like me, always scroll down to the reviews before starting a novel, you were probably, like me, absolutely confused by the polarisation in these reviews. To be honest, after I saw a couple reviews calling "Accidental Mark" a typical Gary Stu meets Gary Stu novel, I did click out of the novel page until a friend re-recommended it to me a couple days ago. Just out of an exam hell, I thought okay, well, why not, and read the thing in one sitting. I realised this is exactly... more>> the stuff I needed after a bad week!

My point is that this is not the type of novel that makes you use a lot of brain power. It's a quick, light read, and if you, like me, normally love scheming and planning and a lot of mind games, you would a hundred percent find "Accidental Mark" as boring as watching white paint dry. But if you need a soft and sweet read that's just fluff and the main characters winning a lot in life, well, here's your winner! I especially loved the extra.

The ML using his money to find the MC in real life because he needed his lover and couldn't live without him? My favourite type of ML! I only wish it was a little longer and had more about them settling in and dealing with the loss of their children and explaining their relationship, because I assume the relationship dynamic in real life would have been a lot more different.

I personally gave it a 4 because it met a very particular need of mine after exam week. So yeah. Do not be scared of all the polarised reviews. If you feel it gets too boring in the first 20 chapters, drop it and just imagine the MCs winning at everything, getting a lot of fame and money, and two twin kids who are also child prodigies, and being in love forever after. You'll not miss a lot. But I would recommend you power through, if only to read the extra, which is honestly the best part of it all! <<less
