The moment the little tyrant of the nobles, Roel Ascart, saw his stepsister, he recalled his memories. He realized that he was in the world of a gal game he played in his previous life. To make things worse, he was the greatest villain in the common route of the game!

“I’ll be killed by the main character and the four capture targets ten years from now. Is there still any hope for me?”

Just thinking about the fearsome glints of those sharp swords those beautiful capture targets held in their hands, Roel couldn’t help but tremble in fear.

Till a voice finally sounded in his head.

Good novel. Some negatives and positives.

Positives:

  • Doesn't follow the usual isekai tropes where the MC knows everything, he only has a sort of idea of what's going to happen and that's it,
  • The characters are interesting and original, MC is intelligent (except when it comes to the romance side) and tries to do everything not to die at the beginning,
  • The affection system was a very fun to get things going and show how clever the MC actually is,
  • World building gets to be quite descriptive and entertaining,
  • How the MC gets powers keeps you at the edge of your seat,
  • When the romance is timely it's pretty wholesome and very satisfying.
Negatives:

  • If you like things to move at a fast pace most likely this novel is not for you,
  • There was a tad too much romance which I didn't care about when the story was at important moments. Personally, it felt like filler episodes of Naruto,
  • The ending was a bit rushed and the system gets pretty much left aside,
  • The age of all characters. That was an appalling decision made by the author in my opinion,
  • Spoiler

Almost no tragedy made it feel as if all characters, ALL of them, had plot armor.

    [collapse]
Overall I enjoyed the novel quite a lot. Despite it's negatives I liked the plot and the characters enough that I wanted to see how everything ended. Would recommend you start it if you're a fan of world building and romance.

"The game's mechanics were extremely bizarre, proceeding in units of 'years'. It would still have been fine if that was all, but the storyline kept jumping all around the place too."

"The excessive number of events and frequent time skips in the game crammed players with an overload of information, creating a poor user experience."

Saw that this was finally completed and that the MC actually scored with his girls so I decided to give it another shot. Seeing these lines at the very start, I couldn't help but laugh... more>> my ass off at how self aware this story is with how readers feel KEK WEW. We were warned, but we didn't listen! <<less

Im not gonna lie dis shi got weird vibes since the author (for some reason) chose to have romance when the characters are children which then causes that some scenes or descriptions sound really gross like saying a girl got a "good figure" or some shi (i dont remember completely but something like that) when she is just 12. Like thats weird af.

Aside from that its ok kinda 7/10. Its funny and has a unique world building the charcters are alright (tho at times very bland and generic specially MC... more>> and main crew) but it has an interesing power system and world building/history. If it was less focused on romance and more on the its world (+ if MC actually faced some challenges) it would be great. <<less

It was awesome, but I don't like how the established power level keep getting more and more irrelevant, and how the Author keep over extending later chapters fight with useless hyperbolic conflicting explanations.

It would be better if the Author stay on using the earlier chapters battle storytelling.

First review from me and I was mainly spurred on to make it due to my disappointment so far.

The story starts off good until the "harem" starts rearing its head in, the current arc is basically a harem expansion arc and all I've gotten from it is dislike for Nora and Alicia, let alone all the other people working for his family.

If harem is people acting behind your back to "protect' you for the heroines selfish reasons, with acts to lower your reputation, I personally think I'd want nothing to... more>> do with these people, let alone those "loyal" people that are acting along with the deceit.

I'll probably see through this arc and decide whether to continue, if this post isn't edited in some months, then I probably dropped the story.

Edit: Got to chapter 141 and decided I'm done, the MC is as awful as the other characters and his family, his s*upidity and this affection system are made for each other, farming affection points and he somehow doesn't understand that people will fall in love due to that.

Things will somehow work for MC and his harem collection, but I don't feel like reading the rest of the story with MC getting pulled around. I'll give a small analogy to show how this story is going:

I don't want to do anything with this girl and she doesn't want either but before that, I need to get my affection points so let's disagree, she totally won't like me after that!

I would lower my rating to 2 stars but I have no idea how if it is possible. <<less

I honestly would not guess it was a Chinese novel if it wasn't for the System (and even that is handled surprisingly well).

Just an all around wonderful story.

The MC and all 5 love interests are wonderful character (especially the MC is one of my favorites ever).

... more>> There is an actual proper story going on (which sadly is often enough not the case)

There are actual stakes

The magic system is interesting (well, the powers are)

The lore of the World is extremely interesting.

The romance is actually mutual (in most Chinese Harem novels the MC usually just feels affection for the chicks not proper love)

The chicks are honestly each one better on their own than most single heroines (as in, heroines from stories that only have one proper heroine). They are actually very distinct from each other. The only similarity all of them have is that they are all super loyal. Which I mean, what else do you expect from a Chinese novel, heroines being ultra loyal super virg*ns is the standard (not a critic at all mind you, the opposite in fact).

The only thing that I have to say is that the novel starts a bit slow. <<less

Five stars, no less. So sad for those poor reviewers who stop reading earlier and start writing reviews based on bias.

The story starts very misery. It begins as very generic, low class, transmigrating-into-harem-game. But after 1/3, the story changes. It's stll harem. BUT it becomes battle, fighting with the twisted history. The real world is not what the world building has built. While struggling to expose each truth, the MC has to make relationship with each FL.

The novel changes radically after 2/3. The final story is the god-level war to... more>> solve what was wrong and unjustice of the past.

The weakest part of this novel is "the system". It is faded out quietly in the last 1/3 for no reason. <<less

Alright so, so far so good, I'm sure everyone has already read other reviews but basically, interesting plot, great MC whenever it's not dealing with the harem, and when the story is focused on one heroine they are all appealing. Now, the bad part, the majority of the harem. First off Alicia, at the beginning cute as hell. The relationship is pretty wholesome despite the in*estuous tone. The MC mainly is just a huge siscon, which is somewhat common. Unfortunately she's a manipulative b*tch. Who was actively tricking the MC... more>> to develop a codependency to her. Next the princess sadist. May be a sad*st but so far the best choices. As she has been upfront with her intentions and respected the MC's decision and will for the most part. And while she did plan to manipulate the relationship of the MC and the third fML she admitted to feeling guilt along side Alicia. Other than that she's been the most upfront and generally trustworthy. While being a sad*st does not bode too well for MC, she doesn't seem to push too far with it unlike the others. And here comes the third MC. I will admit, up until the exit of the second awaking, I favored her the most. Great chemistry and I would have loved to see that close banter and back and forth with those two and it would have been great. Unfortunately after they escape, she literally kidnaps the MC, for semi justifiable reasons, and nearly causes massive problems between two Kingdom. Now there were logical reason, but the main reason she had was to posses the MC and imprint onto him so he subconsciously thinks of her as a mate. So litteral brain washing. Not to mention, unlike the earlier manipulation by the lord, Alicia and the princess, she feels no remorse at all. Then the worst part is the MC's spinelessness and beta attitude in the face of food and money. Now I would be fine with that, if he actively drained everything they were worth for. What happened to the MC who bumped the price of annulling a marriage from 300k to 500k. He likely could have gotten 2 million if not more considering the possible damage that could be caused through his kidnapping. Overall, skip most of the harem parts, expecially after the third girl. And enjoy just about everything else. <<less

The novels pretty good it has a compelling storyline, good translation, and good plot. The problem is at least in my opinion was the harem, don't get me wrong I don't dislike harem but the way it was portrayed here was... well it was not bad but can't say it's good either.... more>>
Spoiler

all harem members except the younger sister has repetitive reason on where they fell in love with the MC (i.e Inside his bloodline power something) though that wasn't the problem because I quite like those parts the problem was how the MC hook up with them. I don't know how to explain it but it's like doing galge game ending but in real life in consecutive women back to back. When I read it I felt like I was watching pokemon with the MC be like "gotta catch them all"

A game world transmigration novel with a very standard 4-5 member harem set and a basic power system in play- is part what I would like to say.

While this novel does share many similarities with other novels that may share some or all of its settings, I will say that it is saved in part due to how well fleshed out the characters are compared to other characters in the genre. Action and battle sequences are written quite well and have competent translators backing them. The novel also does not... more>> use the system or game world transmigration setting that often other than to save some sentences when describing newer characters.

All in all, a good novel and it should be enjoyable to read. 4/5. <<less

One of the best transmigration stories out there, yeah its kinda creepy how the author says they're like 13-14 in the story but the author insists on children in this world being more mature for their age because of 'reasons' when he could have aged them up to 18+ since it's literally not even that big of a deal and just the author being a creep, other than that plot, characters, and world-building are great and well developed, the way the harem is handled is acceptable, not the best since... more>> there was so much potential with making scenarios with all of the girls together but they don't interact long-term weirdly enough since their chemistry could be so much more but oh well, great read and definitely not a waste of time. <<less

The protagonist is unambitious, a bit dumb, a paranoid coward and a huge simp... but worst of all is that he feels all warm and fuzzy when others are nice to him. *pukes* While normally I wouldn’t bother giving a 1 star review based on the protagonist’s disposition but in this case, I felt cheated.

In the first dozen chapters, the protag is shown to only care about the points he gets from interacting with people, yet later he starts to ignore the points in lieu of enjoying and returning the... more>> affection he receives. Personally, I was looking for a protagonist with a healthy degree of selfishness and this random personality switch was a huge turn off. <<less

Honestly pretty bad. The premise was somewhat interesting. But the romance plot was horrible with Isekai MC, the adult, being blind to everything. Oh, and the sad*st 9 years old LI was being manipulative AF to try to possess MC but MC did not firmly rebuff it. The worst one was probably the conflict which turned into brawl with magic and knife, occurred in the children lounge in the royal party. With no adult intervention for minutes despite them being very loud, face slamming table so hard it dent loud.

I... more>> mean... I guess it'd be fun if it is your thing, but I can't respect characters in this one, or the story. <<less

Not a bad novel, just a little bit frustrating at times with the MC and how the author makes the MC to be. The way the author makes the MC act so oblivious to his lovers and how he has 0 s*xual thoughts about them despite having s*xual thoughts with them is such a dumb paradox from the author. Either way, from all the negative reviews from the novel, people are just too hung up from the ages of the novel and so angry over a fictional dating sim harem... more>> that gives me a headache from all the comments about it. About just as dumb as the MC in the story. Furthermore comments like info dumps are purely exaggerated. I just think people are too dense in the head to understand. Wait until you go and read some college books and you realize how convoluted and full of jargon a text can be. <<less

First of all. This is definitely readable and enjoyable novel.

However, it really betrays readers expectations with it's premise.

Going into the series. You expect the storyline about MC entering game/novel/etc as a "villain" character and using his knowledge of the storyline, he would avoid death flags, while at the same time using his knowledge of the future push himself towards greatness.

... more>> We don't get any of that. So don't get decived. Instead this the real title of the novel.

"That time I transmigrated into young noble with tr*sh talent. But I have system so I will be fine. Still, why are my harem girls all yanderes?"

Truly, the premise of this novel is completely ignored. The whole villain thing gets thrown out of the window in 10 chapters just because MC acts nice. The game deathflags are a joke since MC faces dangerous stations regardless.

Lastly MC is supposed to be the game villains who is eventually defeated by protagonist and 4 heroines working together. However with his tr*sh talent and house falling out of grace, it would impossible for him to be of any threat to those overpowered gods on earth.

This is really poorly thought out novel and author just ends up writing whatever comes to his mind at given time.

Still what we do actually get is an enjoyable read so it's worth giving it a try. I would give it 4, if only the story didn't lie in it's premise and simply stated that this is your typical isekai harem shenanigans where the question of "who is the best girl" is of far greater importance than anything else in the story. <<less

I came here for the School Life tag. But School Life tag is misleading for this novel.

After 209 chapters in, I have yet to see anything remotely becoming of a school life.

Unless this School Life happens really late in the story, I feel like it shouldn't be a tag otherwise at all. Given the novel is only 600+ chapters and ongoing, I would hope, assume 'School Life' became a thing at some point. But already caught up to roughly a third of what has been written, that is still missing.

To... more>> sum it up. If you are expecting School Life to begin anytime soon for any readers, then you better keep dreaming. I don't even know if we get it at all.

Beyond that, I will say the novel is okay at best so far. It isn't great or amazing. It has its fair share of faults. I don't like any of the 'harem, ' roster as they are all annoying. Yea, Nora seemed somewhat promising starting out, but as you read on and on, you discover how much of annoying c*nts they are that all want to ride MC's 'd', despite them all being children.

Also there is other dumbsh*t in this novel like children governing over provinces or having a lot of authority and power and seemingly knowing how to use it. I can somewhat see the MC maybe at some point since he should have larger mentality with his reincarnation, but still. Come on. I mean. Come on. This is a typical isekai pull thing that many other novels do, like the authors don't really research into this or anything how medieval society works. Even heirs or children that somehow actually become leaders have advisors, but none of that is mentioned in the background, you have the adults to those children just sitting aside letting the children in power. I mean. Really? It is just so f*cking s*upid.

Really 3 stars go to Grander. Everything else about this novel is tr*sh. He has the most character out of everyone in the series. <<less

So I’ve been reading this and while the author seems to keep using the same plot devices over and over again he successfully develops characters to a larger extent than cookie cutter still kind of cliched but makes it seem as if they are still developing beyond the cliche. The setting is expansive we still haven’t seen the full scope of the world. Well 300 chapters in and we haven’t hit upon a major big bad plot it’s been set up and amassing the harem the author stretched the plot.... more>>

Nora and charlottes plots are rather good they follow consistent character traits and develop interactions. The latest plotline feels off but I’ll give it another read.

Spoiler

the story is entertaining and I haven’t been bored but it’s kind of repetitive with witness state and then roel being half dead and ensuing girl harem fight chapter the fact it’s predictable is bad for it’s longevity.

You know that it's a Chinese novel by how whole chapters go by without anything but some nonsense conversation actually happening.

That said, it's on a completely different level than other Chinese novels over here. Overall I would say it would be like 3.5 if you can bear with the astonishing text blocks of nothingness, which I can by just skipping them altogether. However, due to the great standard that I hold Chinese novels by, I was almost tempted to give it a 5-star rating.

To avoid deceiving you, I was a... more>> bit generous and gave a 4-star instead.

If you have plenty of patience, time and a shortage of things to do or energy to do something, you could spend that time by skipping this novel while occasionally reading parts of it. <<less

I've picked up and put down this novel several times because I felt a bad vibe in the beginning, and I'm happy that my gut feeling was wrong.

Contrary to my expectations, I thought the affection points system and gold shop would trivialize Roel's relationships and I figured that he'd just bullsh*t his way into the hearts of others with items from the shops. Instead, what we have here is a decent isekai romcom battle harem. MOST of his interactions and romances make sense, and watching a gaggle of girls fight... more>> over him is actually humorous and, in my opinion, the main appeal of this novel because each girl is distinct and likeable.

The system is sort of like The Novel's Extra if you've happened to read that- it gives Roel powerful items and sometimes lets him sidestep some obstacles, not to mention all the other powerups he obtains from other characters as well. It's a little ass-pully, but it didn't get in the way of my enjoyment. That's just how it is.

I don't care much about the world building. It doesn't feel that expansive, but there is some potential there. It's a bit too early to say anything about it.

If I had to name a gripe I have, it's that Roel chooses to be friends with someone (s) except that friendship isn't really shown or elaborated upon at all. Kinda lame tbh.

All in all, give it a shot if you've read The Novel's Extra or want to see harem shenanigans. It's a decent read.

3/5 as a novel, 4/5 in enjoyability. <<less
