MC is a strong-willed person. She is too strong and conscious of it to be her qizi under normal circumstances. If it wasn't for her close friend's su*cide incident, it might have been difficult for her to recover. Because he always wins, he doesn't know how to lose. His strong willpower has the extraordinary ability to survive and turn the conditions on his own. He may have lost, but he has always proven his superiority over ML.

ML is a being with cold feelings. You will see his emotional state later in the story. He's not a bad person. Not because he made the mistakes he made on purpose. It's hard to get used to this situation like MC. The two of them are very strong personalities and they did not look at each other emotionally. He will gradually learn what partnership is. Both are proud people. It's pure pride that he starved because he didn't have MC money and didn't ask ML ML later learns that MC has no money. ML, even getting MC to his room feels weird. Both are strangers to each other. Despite these initial situations, ML puts its partner's safety first. He loves MC. He cares about MC. I personally loved this development, their falling in love with each other leads to a perfect adventure.

The world building is quite excellently done and provides an interesting take on relationships much different than that of Earth. The author actually foreshadows so much of the plot before you realize it and the beginning of the novel might seem like a huge info dump but trust me it's woven quite well so it doesn't get too hard to keep up with the intricacies of the world.

The story explores some interesting themes like, what does it mean to be alive, what does it mean to have a soul, and what is love?

One thing that really surprised me was when the Tianxiu people are pretty much what I would describe to be biological AIs. The author gives so many hints too, like when they talk about how their body seems to work like program similar to AIs and when the MC tries out a Mech but can't control it because he doesn't have "brainwaves", and how another character comments that shouldn't be possible unless he wasn't alive.

I wish I could put a tragedy tag because the past lives of the main characters all end in some tragic way. At one point they straight out tell you that the ML has been killing the MC for at least 5 or more generations. Although their life ends prematurely in this timeline also, the amount of time they've been alive compared to before far exceeds their previous lives and their future lives will be even better! The ending is still quite bittersweet since their current lives end, but we're assured that no matter how many times they are reborn they will find each other and remember their love for each other.
