This is for my people who love yandere MLs. If you’re someone who can’t stand red flags even in fiction, don’t pick this novel up. ML is the very definition of yandere, tyrant, and psycho. You could even call him a pe*verted stalker because of how obsessed he is with the MC. That doesn’t mean he isn’t doting though. Being the target of this kind of man’s affections is both a blessing and a curse.

Summary: ML (regressor/reincarnator) had a pretty fcked up 1st life where he meets MC and is his only happiness amidst the darkness. Unfortunately, MC died but he was given a second chance. In this 2nd TL, he vows to do anything to keep her safe and to marry her. He schemes a lot to amass power and to keep MC by his side. MC is also a reincarnated soul (in ancient times) except that she has memories of her past life (modern era) not the 1st TL. Her soul has been in her current body since she was in her mother’s womb. Both body and soul are her own. This is also the same MC in the 1st TL. 

This is a pretty good read because the world building is superb and the characterization is top tier. The characters are well fleshed out and not bland; flawed but human. Translation is okay for the most part but sometimes tricky to read so read carefully. <<less

Expect to encounter heaps of misunderstandings because that seems to be the author’s plot device to the point that sometimes it’s frustrating. ML is too blinded by his emotions and his hatred of ogMC prevents him from acting rationally. He always appears s*upid and brash. I mean I understand how miserable he feels but I still feel bad for the innocent MC who is suffering in the ogMC’s place. MC on the other hand is level headed and independent (hoped I could see more about her doing business) but she’s meek and reserved when she has to be firm and ruthless. For the convenience of the plot, elements that could prevent things from happening are ignored so be warned.  <<less

I came here for the romance but stayed for the comedy. This is definitely far more interesting and amusing than what the summary indicates. It’s funny and cute. You have to read it to appreciate it. The way ML and FL developed their affections is adorable. Their little family was formed in a peculiar way but reading their interactions are so fun. Romance is slow and it is only a subplot at most despite the title. MC is OP but I don’t mind as it fits this story.... more>>

Summary: MC, an assassin and doctor, transmigrates to ancient times in a body of a ‘disfigured’ fool. She accidentally picks up a man and the man she saved was forced by her family to be her husband. They’re already married when she transmigrates and she somehow picks up more people and build her family in such a way. Story revolves on the family’s journey from their simple village life to returning to the capital. 

MC is OP but she’s not necessarily perfect. She lacks familial affections the most and that’s what she got when she transmigrated over. I love the characters here especially their little family. My favorite character is the empress dowager while i hate the biological father of MC the most. While I was reading it, I wished it wouldn’t finish. I liked it too much for it to end. I’d probably read it again once TL is complete. Rest of the chapters you can look up online as of now. Those aren’t high quality TL but definitely better than MTL. <<less

This story focused on how MC (transmigrator) saved her mother and siblings from her scum paternal family. The kids and the mother are victims of domestic violence so this novel detailed how they recovered, lived a better life, and accumulated wealth after being set free. Pretty good slice of life historical novel. Romance is at most a subplot and more concentrated on the latter part (tho ML & FL met on the first half of the story and had plenty of interactions; tdlr: slowburn). Remember that it is slice of life so there aren’t grand schemes and such. It is relatively chill but not totally uneventful. Reading about how the kids were being abused early in the story was pretty stressful tho. On the bright side, it’s heartwarming to see the siblings genuinely supporting one another and how their lives improved through their own hard work. Tho the father’s family and his mistress didn’t end up well, I still wish I could have seen the perpetrators suffer more. A pity ML & MC’s married life was rushed but I wasn’t too suprised because the title basically says that the MC married very late. Anyway it was still a satisfactory read. It may not be the best but it definitely is among the decent rags to riches stories I’ve encountered. <<less

One of the decent non-capital focused historical novel. Romance is especially great. It really showed how the FL and ML’s relationship developed from enemies to confidantes to lovers. Kinda draggy but not complicated. Pace actually started out great but ended pretty abruptly. Midway, some insignificant events got dragged out but everything else is okay. I expected more on the business development part but MC didn’t shine in this aspect imo but it’s fine anyway. Such a shame it isn’t completely translated yet. Hurts my heart that I have to MTL decent novels such as this one as it greatly affects the reading experience. <<less

Slice of life historical novel. Love the MC’s relationship with the MIL. Probably my favorite part especially at the beginning of the novel. Romance isn’t much. ML only appears on the latter half which allowed the novel to focus on MC getting rich on the first part. MC is an OP business woman lol. <<less

If you need a quick fix of historical romance, this is a good story to consider. Plot of this novel isn’t anything extraordinary nor is it complicated. I like how it was done though because it wasn’t dragged. I even thought that this novel had the potential to have more chapters (at least 200). 

More things I liked:

-immediate faceslapping! yes, MC doesn’t need to complicate stuff just to faceslap people here lol

-no intricate schemes but it’s still eventful; twist abt ML really had me guessing and it was quite enjoyable

-DOG FOOD! Lots of dog food! They are cuties <<less

NOTE: romance is the central plot. politics/scheming is almost non-existent/ just serves as background.summary: mc, a webnovel author,... more>> gets transmigrated into her own revenge/cp-free story as a punishment (due to procrastination lol). she, now a supporting character in the novel universe, has to rely on her novel’s yandere ML’s kiss for survival. she will then do everything in her power to get close to ML and accomplish her mission to accompany him in his journey to the top as a prime minister.best point: not forcefully dragged out and had a satisfactory ending. only down side is due to the novel being short, some plot points weren’t expanded well but those things didn’t affect the trajectory of the story much anyway; so it’s a negligible matter. the trope isn’t original but the execution was well-done. i like how the characters were portrayed especially FL. It’s rare to see transmigrated MCs who still has lingering attachments to the modern/og world and strive to return and this is one of those charas which were written well. i just wish there were extras/side stories.  <<less

Summary: MC transmigrated into a smut novel (but this story doesn’t have r-18 scenes) where humans, dragons, special life forms, witches, demons, etc exist. ML is tyrant who fell into a coma for 3 years and is supposed to fall in love with MC’s white lotus maidservant (also half-sister) when he wakes up. MC’s body’s og owner on the other hand is just a cannon fodder who is destined to die on the 7th day after marriage. MC struggles to avoid death and ultimately decides to help ML/take care of him so that she can be spared/freed once he wakes up and hooks up with ogFL. Plans are bound to fail though as we discover more of the truth and ML’s background. Needless to say, they fall in love and weather the storms together.

This is a cute cultivation romance novel and it kind of reminded me of Heart Protection. The love story here is adorable and sweet. There aren’t any major plot holes that affects the story much/you have to be concerned about. Development of events is pretty straightforward and it ended quite well. Have to say though, I would have loved a side story about the previous TL and the babies. Was so intrigued by the last few chapters and i wish there were more of it. <<less

To be honest this novel isn’t anything original. MC suffered bitterly in her past life and has returned to make things right in her new life with an oath to make her enemies wish they were dead. As a typical reborn MC returning with vengeance, you can expect her to deliver face slapping and schemes to bring down the villains. It’s very much a watered-down version of princess wei yang in my opinion.
