When he was in elementary school, Shota Ishikawa was a “popular kid with a good face, who could study and exercise well,” but by the time he graduated from junior high school, everyone around him was calling him an a**hole. Man gets absolutely butt-f*cked by a mega-thot.

Stages of ML's life:

    1. Super popular; the so-called youth life.
    1. Rejects the most popular girl in the school.
    1. Classmates consist only of Facebook Mums, Conspiracist Theorists, and Flat Earthers, meaning they believe everything they are told.
    1. The previously mentioned wankers are told that ML cheats on every test (Why would you even believe this?), and so on. Thus, you know the drill, believe it and start circulating rumours, and they aren't pretty.
    1. ML gets bullied. Some statistics, if you so need: 50% of the ML's Junior High School life was spent in a dumpster.
    1. Best Friend tries to win over his crush with the ML's help.
    1. Shit goes haywire. The crush used the friend to get to the ML, and ML gets mad at the BFF's crush for that, then Libido-Tron over here starts circulating rumours (God. These pansies really love their gossip, don't they) that the ML 'stole' the best friends girl (bruh, not even kidding).
    1. P.s. Using their logic, I can completely decimate someone's life by pretending to have a crush to say, "They stole the girl from me" when someone gets close to them.
    1. The dumpster gets a renovation, with some imports of comfy furniture from Danny Devito himself. Oh, wait, Nevermind. It's just the ML who received a raise from his original 50% to a whopping 80%!!!
    1. Yeah, then the family- they- yeah, they suck ass.
    1. Blah, blah, blah, you can guess the rest.
    1. ML joins a very distant high school, and now he's finally free!! Yay!!!
    1. Jk turns out that his childhood friend is in his class and starts, wait for it, starts, drumroll please~... Starts circulating rumours! OMG, NO WAY!! WHAT. A. SUPRISE!!! NEVER SEEN BEFORE IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!!!
    1. Disregarding that, the MOST SHOCKING, the BIGGEST SURPRISE EVER, since the CREATION OF MATTER, happens... the ML... the ML gets a FRIEND! OMG, NO WAY!! WHAT. A. SUPRISE!!! NEVER SEEN BEFORE IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!!!
    1. Then the author yeets out of that shit, probably too many rumours for him.
    1. The end.

Idk why I have so much fun reading these predictable and depressing stories written by presumebly highschool students. Its not good at all but has enough soul in it that it feels worth reading lmao

I'll make this short

MC rejected a girl (his childhood friend), she spread some rumors about him being a playboy and he got sh*t on for it. MC decides to grow some bangs (like that'd help) and live a peaceful high school life... but it doesn't work out.

This novel is very predictable but a fun read nonetheless.

People compare this to the other similar novel translated by soafp. I'd say this one is worse, as it doesn't have the other one's good points while having some unrealistically annoying elements to it.

First is the MC's character. In the "other" novel, the author introduces the MC as quirky and broken. He makes jokes, he is a lone-wolf, and his actions make you believe it. He makes decisions for himself and his actions drive the plot forward. He is also consistent with his character, and as he develops, you can... more>> feel that his perspective of the world changes. Sure, many of his jokes don't land. But that does not damage his characteristic at all.

This MC on the other hand, is the completely opposite. He is very bland, he doesn't have any interesting quirks, he doesn't make any decisions, and he makes you feel like if he existed just to help the other characters to drive the plot for him. Unlike the other MC, who stands up for himself, this MC just obediently accepts everything that happens to him. He doesn't try to resolve the misunderstanding at all, and he still holds goodwill towards the childhood friends who ruined his life, even when they made clear that they just wanted to f*ck with him. And unlike the other novel whose plot is that the misunderstanding gets slowly dispelled, this one does not seem to want to resolve it at all.

The other novel also has better side characters. The author of that novel focuses on other people's perspectives to convey who they are, and why they are involved in the story one way or another. They also give these characters development as the plot moves forward. They also have the legitimate reasons for their wrongdoings to MC. This one doesn't. So far the friends are boring and one-dimensional, even though they are the ones who are driving the plot. The antagonists of the story are also boring, since their is no explanations on their sides on what they are planning to do. Instead of unintentionally causing harm, this antagonist goes out of their way to hurt the MC for the sake of it. <<less

This novel is kinda like the girls who traumatized me. I had thought I kinda liked this type of novel cus soafp is filled with them and I've read a lot of them, but this one gets me annoyed for some reason. Most of these novels are basically based on the lack of communication leading to problems. In many of the other types of novels, we see that the misunderstanding has been somewhat resolved in the eyes of others, but in this one, the guy is basically saying that he... more>> did it in every conceivable way except saying it out loud.

Most of these novels you'd feel sorry for the MC and understand those that are trying to make amends. In this novel, all I could think is that the MC is so f*cking s*upid that he honestly deserves the treatment he's getting since his actions perpetuate it happening to him. He has no desire to make it stop, he's just living in it and acting as if it's true to basically everyone except one or two people.

I'd say that this novel isn't bad if you're looking for this type of story, but it definitely isn't good even in this genre. The MC is not even the pitiable pathetic type, he's just the annoying pathetic type. Maybe it'll change when more chapters come out, but for now it sits at a 3 for me. <<less

Wow, I was really surprised at the positive reviews, so I wanted to put my different opinion out. I read up to and including c13, which seems to be when the author canceled the work, and it's really unrealistic and contrived.

The MC is very handsome, kind, and supposedly smart and socially aware. In junior high, his best friend likes a girl, that girl confesses to MC who rejects her, best friend gets jealous and makes up rumor that MC stole his girl. Everyone in class believes him, and MC does NOTHING to defend himself or right those rumors. He even says something along the lines of "people who will believe rumors will believe them, so there's no point trying to convince them otherwise". He should actually try to convince them before saying that, instead of staying silent and letting himself get beat up and bullied. Then his family assumes its all true when they hear since he STILL says nothing to defend himself (yes, his father cuts him off when he begins, but he never tries again and just throws a tantrum and moves out later), and at the school hearing, he denies he's being bullied.

It's just such a forced situation of the MC letting all this happen without defending himself.

As mentioned above, it seems to be canceled or at least heavily hiatused by the original author, and there's nothing resolved/answered, with not much development either.

The MC has gotten a friend to reduce his trauma of having friends slightly (it's a guy who does badminton club and sits behind him in class), there's a semi-mystery of whether its the former childhood female friend setting his new school's bullies on him (she has a surprised look when he appears with bully wounds) or if it's someone else like the girl he helped or his former childhood guy friend somehow, plus the question of how his friendship with the badminton guy may go.

But it seems abandoned, and I don't think it's a particularly good romance or drama, and I don't recommend this. <<less

The story is focusing too much on MC 'normal' school live like the exam, his part time job and a book review which I have to skip through some of them and it's totally unnecessary. It's boring honestly.

But there are part that is interesting and worth to read. However all this 'interesting' part was too short like not even one paragraph.

Feels rushed; MC was willing to try and make friends again after his trauma and talk about something he still has panic attacks about waaaay too soon- but the rest of the story's alright so far.

MC use to be an ikemen, then toxic world resident spread their poison breath and hell broke loose for him. The first time he was lucky he got the support of his party member. But the second time, the party member got jealous of his ikemen charm and help the toxic world resident gain momentum. Even MC family got poisoned by the party member.

weakened to the bottom by the situation MC choose to retire and live faraway. Unluckily a bit*h followed him and bring their poison with her. His wound reopen. But with the care of some good resident, MC strive to survive, mend his wound, as he choose the path of quiet life. He still faraway from becoming a Sage of Virtue.

Honestly, I didn't like some things because it seemed a little unreal (like the fact that everyone believes the rumors) but despite that I was really enjoying reading, and I was really hoping to see him heal from the trauma over time, but from what I heard the author stopped posting, I hope it’s just a break and that he continues with the novel, this novel is not perfect but managed to touch my sentimental so I’m looking forward to more
