I’ve only read a bit so far, and am not necessarily disappointed with the story itself, but the fact that this series isn’t properly tagged over here on NU. It’s Yaoi, plain and simple.
While I’ve got nothing against the concept of itself, I’ve been let down by authors so many times in their handling of gay relationships that I’ve now got an aversion to reading about them in books unless it’s just the male side characters who are gay (because god are B Plot romances the best), so I wish I had known beforehand. Especially if the ML is a god damn Yandere. Haaa...
Who knows, maybe the yaoi plot in this one is actually quite good and I’m missing out or something, I likely won’t ever know. I simply wish I’d been told what I was getting into before actually clicking on the novel itself. 1/5 on NU due to misuse of tags.

Now then, I’m off to go find either a ML of my own or turn my life into a Yuri plot. 🍳🏳️‍🌈

The story was good at first. The MC was really likable, if a bit um, I wouldn't say a pushover, since he wasn't. He was very pragmatic. He knew that his reputation was bad due to unfounded rumors but it wasn't something he could control. Like he couldn't control how people treated him. But he had a very bad habit of not setting up boundaries with the ML. This is what finally turned me off and made me drop the novel.

The ML is obsessed with MC. I suspect he's lived multiple times. Some of his words hints to that. Anywho, he has this tendency of saying MC is his spouse and that they are a married couple, despite the fact that a, they are not and b, it makes MC uncomfortable. MC, the family and everyone else treat it like its a joke. A running time joke that started back in school or whatever. To me, a joke is funny but MC is not laughing. He's unhappy since the public opinion is that they are in a relationship. They are not. Any protest from MC makes it seem like MC is trying to hide it. But goes too far when ML slips an engagement ring on MC that can't be taken off, without asking or permission from MC. Like what? How dismissive can you be of MCs feelings? And the author still has MC playing it off like its not a big deal because the specs of the ring is good? Really?

I just couldn't get passed that. It was very disrespectful and I don't find it cute or funny. There is only so far you can go with a joke that wasn't funny to begin with, and forcing someone into a role they didn't agree to. So pass. The translation was lovely. It made ready so smooth and easy. <<less

The translation is great, the MC is nice, the story is very interesting. I dropped it though because ML was being an as*hole to everyone who was even remotely friendly to MC and that's a big turn off for me. For others who might not be bothered by this I think they might like this story.

seems interesting, after all, I am a sucker for hunters/gates novels. I enjoy the bickering and dynamic between MC and ML (like primary school chickens lolol) even though ML is a little bit crazy. I look forward to more updates, thanks translator ^^

the plot went a little off hand towards the middle and end but it was nothing wild, just a little bit unexpected. I did find myself skimming the last 20 chapters and was a bit upset they didnt get many moments as a couple (i guess the extras fixed that....? though they were really just smut)

the socmed posts and comments were fun at first but there were so many of them I got tired, but it was funny how there were so many people wondering which of the two was going to be the one to get pregnant

overall, its a good novel to kill time with! <<less

The world setting reminds me of S-Classes That I Raised and a little of Omniscient Reader. Especially the MC was also self-sacrificing.

MC is kind, good, yet it feels frustrating instead. MC is like a very idealistic hero, who doesn't want even one person to be sacrificed. He's the type who will forgive the villains and save them if they didn't do anything unforgiveable (mu*der) yet, despite knowing they might harm him again.

If in Omniscient Reader Kim Dokja have no other way but sacrificed himself for his friends and family, this... more>> MC sacrifice himself willingly for strangers while leaving his friends and family behind... <<less

I enjoy the dynamic between the MC and the ML. They're such little kids, how cute. The ML is a still a bit crazy but in a refreshing way.

The concept of the MC being the first awakened is interesting. Just a disclaimer though, this novel is a slow burn in terms of plot. Though, I don't know if that's just me.
