ML is smart but very indifferent and wants to have control with everything in his life. He married MC to deter his mother from setting him up with a ladies from powerful families because he thought it will only hinder his business. ML is the type of guy whose life is business and work has to be no. 1. Everything is just to cater to his needs and he doesnt really care much. He sounds like a prick (I know) but its more like he doesnt care as long as it doesnt hinder his plan, schedule or something. Also as long as he wont be at lost (capitalism ?) He's not bad perse, but just plain indifferent to a lot of things. Someone who likes things on a pattern and to be in control (if and when he goes home for dinner, when will he visit his mother, when will he have dinner with MC etc. It was scheduled unless work get in a way of that). Thats why when MC starts doing different things from how she usually does things, he doesnt feel comfortable at first. He doesnt like deviation or changes with things or people around him.

MC is what others would call, a trophy wife. Someone who looks good. She was a spoiled lady. Only child and was loved and spoiled by her parents. They died when she was 15. Lived with her uncle before she married ML.

She was spoiled, but shes very sensible and smart. She knows that when her parents died, she have nothing. So she studied hard. This was one of her advantages that gain approval when she married ML. She knows that ML didnt love her, so she gave him everything but her heart. She became a sensible wife, who knows how to act in private and public. She acts according to what ML likes, when to feed his ego, how to get along with his mother, etc. She fulfilled this, on the other hand ML provided for her a well-off life.

System appearance is not much. Just after giving task he would disappear. Tasks are also very basic. It seems the system is teaching MC how to live normally. From budgeting for food, clothing, transportation to renting apartment to earning money.

There's a lot of sweet, cute and quirky moments between MC and ML once the stiff part of the relationship is over.

In the Original Novel, It seems like the IQ and EQ of the characters have been turned off. That's why everything works out just fine with the NovelML and NovelFML. However. Theres a twist here on the extra ?

ML will dream about how his life was after divorcing MC (this was in the novel version). Actually, he thought that 'him' in the dream is really unlike him. 'He' was impulsive, irrational and s*upid.

Someone sent him a photo of Qin Yi (NovelML, MC's ex) with 'MC' (only to find out that it was the NovelFML). He was just overwhelmed with jealousy. ML's IQ&EQ took a dive and didnt even question nor investigate this.

MC's reason for the divorce is also because her IQ&EQ took a dive and she thought he is having an affair. She became unreasonable and hysterical (like she makes trouble in the company, fighting with the secretary, installing bugs on ML's CP and briefcase, etc.) When they gain back their wit, they felt ashamed and frustrated about everything and just question themselves why they did that.

People around them also gain back their IQ and fixed their unreasonable decisions (like Qin Yi's father approving the marriage between Qin Yi and NovelFML. He later stop this wedding, NovelML being so in love with NovelFML became sober, not so inlove anymore and I think he went to look for MC again (i forgot), etc)

'HE' regret the divorce, but when he found MC, she already moved on with her life. A senior from college is pursuing her (Senior likes MC from way way back. But he doesnt want to get married due to his experiences, so he never approached MC cause he thought what MC needs is a home which he cant provide. When he decided he wants to marry MC, he found out she was already engage with ML. When the divorce happened, he approached MC again). There's also the friend of ML who is a friend of MC as well.

It was also shown that when divorcing, its not that ML is stingy with the properties. Its just that MC doesnt want much, she didnt take anything that she didnt deserve thats why she only had a few millions when they divorce in the novel.

Well it was okay, I really did think it was strange that the FL loves spending money even thou her parents died at her young age. Nevertheless that was how she eas portrayed, and as the story went by we also found out the reason why they "will" divorced if the storyline stayed in its place, it was because ML got jealous and insecure lmao.

Rated it 4 star for the cliche story

An example would be how she kept rewatching the marriage videos. From her POV, she said she likes to see how other people envy her and such. But ok that’s true, it is not like she wouldn’t be bored of that. She only watched that because she likes to look back at the happiest time of her marriage. And to most woman, it would be their wedding ceremony.

Honestly, I didn’t realise this until I read the extras where they mentioned about the FL’s past life (?), where they undergone a divorce. The ML missed how his wife watches their wedding ceremony over and over again and the things belonging to her in the house after the divorce.
