Tao Xi knew the fate of being deliberately exchanged at birth by his “mother” in the third year of middle school. The first time I read this was last year? When it's still not completed, so I kinda stop reading it because it's unfinished yet. Then after the translation is completed, I read it from the start again. Although I know the scenes from the previous chapters, I can’t still stop myself from being drawn to it especially when it comes to Tao Xi’s internal struggle when he faced Yang Doule, Lin Qinhe and his real and fake family. Now, I reread this for 5th time already and the feelings and emotions I had the first time I read this still remains, it's even stronger because I am also trying to chase my own moon right now and I also am struggling because of my family.

So I can say that this novel deserves recognition because I am a person who got bored of reading something immediately much worse rereading it more than once. <<less

I liked the story and the characters. It is really good and you should give it a try. Though at some point it didn't feel real, I mean it only revolves around the main characters.

awesome story, read thru the whole story in one day and just let me say I didn't regret wasting a single minute reading this story. Love it so much, wishing there is more tho!! Feels like its never enough

90% of the named adults in this novel are morally ill, so it falls to the children to struggle out of that suffocating world by themselves. Some of them don't make it out, and the MC himself nearly doesn't either. It's really healthy to NOT have an innocent little sweetie pie shou for once, but someone whose most secret thoughts make him look pretty despicable. The temptation to become the villainess trope was constant, which really showed how painful it was for him to decide, over and over, to focus... more>> on improving his own circumstances and never actually hurt anyone. I have close friends who grew up in hunger-level poverty, and the self-abas**ent MC displays towards his love object of an upper class is NOT inaccurate.

Beyond MC, the circumstances were pretty dog blooded but the character portraits were believable. For a setting like this, a codependent youth romance with two clumsy, adorable, sincere, and hardworking boys was really the best possible outcome. I wish more attention had been paid to the side characters (because they were much more interesting than the mains), and the eugenics assumptions frothing underneath the surface should be taken with an extra mine of salt, but I've given 4 stars to much more questionable novels and the quality of this writing and translation deserves a better grade. 5 stars. <<less

looking at some low review, I feel the need to write my point too. I read many swapped at birth babies stories, from both POV of the real young master vs the poor kid. And this one is very good enough, though unrealistic in some parts, but very understandable when I think about it more.

my focus is our 3 protagonists has similar basic/growth but only 2 can stay on the right track. They are teenagers with traumatic life, lack of true love, and unreliable parents/adults around. I can't say those... more>> basics are even. LQ's famik. TX's lack of true love from direct relatives, but his teachers and neighbor is at least sincere to him, while YD is pampered by the adults but that love is driven by guilt of the past and dead person, his lack of similarities to FS burden him because the adults just brushed it up and pamper him more.

at the end, it's a pity YD choose the wrong path. I can even say the villain, the one at fault here is not YD, but the adults; Fang grandparents, LZ, and YZ. Their over indulging parenting and how bad they handle the difference of YD and FS are what makes YD becomes manipulative about his health. As an adult they should knew better. TX too, is not a kind person at the start, he is sly and sinister in his way to be with LQ but TX knows right and wrong and stopped after realize his bad way won't get LQ good side. TX might dig some pit to YD and YZQ but if they knew right from wrong, it won't pit them. The unrealistic part is TX understand that it's unfair for YD too and it'll be hard for YD later that's why he can't tell his real family about the truth. Because that thinking is so mature, if I'm in his age I might not think like that. But that is also my favorite part. In conclusion, maybe this is what they say soft doesn't mean harmless, and sharp doesn't mean harmful. Indulging too much is also harmful to kid's character in the future. and I love how TX and LQ depends on each other. Many readers seen LQ gives more and TX depending on him very much. But I see TX gives LQ his most sincere and warm love, and for LQ who's nobody loved him sincerely and truly in that cold family, that was more than enough. TX also try to solve LZ and LQ parent-kid matter. Also even without LQ, TX can solves by himself. It's just faster and easier with LQ helps there.

and because I loves author brings out YD's suffering, I'm very dissatisfied with his closure part. He just disappear and Fang grandparents and YZ just discard YD when it's largely their fault YD becomes like that. But I know they had no more obligation to YD and YD harming TX is their last line so I also confused what I want for YD part, maybe the author feel the same too, hence it's unexplained. <<less

I already read this novel a long time ago but I decided to write review just now.

For some review that said it's too dramatic, I don't think so. This novel is very good and the ending is good too. I'm a bit dissappointed because there is no extra but the ending is pretty good. I got heartache for Tao Xi that's not what he deserve.

personally I hate mother Tao very much like you are so selfish for betraying people who trust and treat you well, maybe for some people it's because she doesn't want her child die but it cannot justify what she had done. My poor Tao Xi suffered so much because of her. Yang Duole is selfish too, in my opinion he's should be grateful to Tao Xi because of him, he can live for so long using what Tao Xi deserves (like food, family, money) but he choose to make things difficult, at the end, he gets what he deserves

I love it.

This story is made to make us feel and understand the emotion the MC is currently feeling. I like how bared he was. I like that his immature and flawed because that makes us a normal person. That's why I can't understand some of the people here. (Saying it's so dramatic or it's so easy to just let them know he is the real son whatsoever). He is just sixteen. He grew up neglected. So don't expect him to be the selfless protagonist who can accept and understand... more>> people with forgiveness no matter who they are. He's not like that.

That's why he's like that because for him it feels like nothing belong to him. So when he said that he had to work hard I admire him. Because so far all the things he had are his efforts and hard work.

He is immature and selfish (and that not a bad thing). He is a still child. So don't expect him to act according to your usual protagonist whose op or saint that can forgive people. Like heck girl rubbing in his face everything that he could have. And it's not the material things it's the affecttion and love because that's the thing he lacked. Making him feel that he's supposed to be child full of love he can't help but to be insecure.

But the thing I love about him is it is momentary he knows that YD also suffered to his body and health so he's thankful for his healthy body. I have so many thing to say but it is a healing story.

They finally have a home to go back to. And I'm vey proud for MC and ML for that. <<less

Good read. Enjoyed the relationship between the MC and ML. Also liked how the ML indirectly helping the MC, giving him the hope to improve and carry on. Lastly, I think the author wrote the emotions and feelings of the MC throughout the story really well. It really stabbed me. It's not like it's super tragic but it really made me cry multiple times while reading.

Ahhh. I love 😍 them both. Please don't give up during first few chapter. The real sweetness come after some bitterness.

MC who doesn't give up attitude, he doesn't hold hatred and finally got his moon.🌝

ML who plan and extend a rope to guide the star ✴️ 💫 into his orbit. Rather than overwhelmed MC, he let MC come by himself on his own effort without undermining his capability. True support.

Love it so muchhhhhhhhh! I cried a few times throughout the novel either bc I feel so sad or happy for the MC. I came back rereading those moments many times.

Although the MC suffer since he is a child, he is still strong and tries his best to be close to the moon aka the ML. The ML also has a sad past too. They are each other happiness.

Highly recommended!!!!!!

Uwaaaahhhhhhh!!! (╥﹏╥) (╥﹏╥). It's full of emotions, the so called sadness for the characters because every each one of them are being played by the so called fate. Anxiety, because they and I anticipated when and how will they tell the world the he is the one they're soppused to care, pamper, love and spoiled from the start. Fear, that, what if the outcome is unsatisfactory, what if it only made the wound that MC had deepened and more painful. And lastly happy, why because, every chapter, I tell you... more>> that it's full of fluff like they want to show to me that, this what you get if your crush crushes you back, like yeah already know it. So to those who will start reading this make sure you had a roll of tissues and you're alone, because I make sure that you will cry and needed tissue for that, as to why alone, well, because it will make you look fool for those who watched you hahahaha. <<less

I cried T____T I Love this story! 4.8/5 from me!

I feel like I can understand why the MC behaves like that. Like, what should he do seeing all of the things that supposedly his happened to other people just because of one selfish and ungrateful person?
He is not overdramatic.. He wants to get angry, but he couldn't do it.

Also the ML, ugh. I love the ML, even though he looks cold.. He was so concerned about the MC.

To the translator, hank you for picked up this story, I enjoy it a lot and enough make me crying huhuu

I’m extremely grateful that I got to read such a book. It so good that I couldn’t stop myself binge reading it. I am so happy that Tao Xi got to get his moon. And I thankful for Lin Qinhe for being such graceful moon.

Seriously love everything about this novel. At first, I srsly thought Qinhe was the usual ice-cold prince but later on as the story progresses, he was just as kind and in love with Tao Xi. The sacrifices and efforts they have for each other were balanced. I really love their relationship, it's just natural. Felt sad for Yang Doule, I actually hoped he'd have a change of character but sadly he didn't. The only thing that dissatisfied me about this is, the extras that should be made. I want to... more>> know Lin Qinhe's POV so bad~ Like, how does he felt when Tao Xi first came at their school. Their conversation and all, I want to know how he felt at that time, ah. Especially when he rejected Tao Xi's advances at the start haha.

But still, it didn't affect the fact that the story was so good. I cried so hard!!! 😭🤧 <<less

I LIKE. It's so adorable and beautiful!! I took 1 day to finish this, and honestly, I think it's better than <<A Certain Someone>>. But I mean, everyone has their preferences... This novel is good and gets me invested. The MC felt realistic, the ML a little not but maybe I can't understand the mindset of rich people. But regardless, it's an enjoyable and undeniably a good read. Will reread!
