After an explosion, You XiaoMo finds that he is now a probationary disciple of the TianXin sect. However, he is one with dubious potential, so just when he starts to adapt to his new circumstances, he receives a piece of bad news. It was a pretty interesting read except it had too many chapters though I didn’t get bored reading it because almost every chapter was full of antics of MC and ml. I liked their interactions with each other and with other side characters.

the world building was a great addition for me because I wondered if there would be any more places to tr*sh for MC and ml, at some point. Towards the end of chapters (650?) the smut scenes comparably decreased and focused more on the final showdown.

Im so glad that I finished reading this and didn’t quit halfway otherwise I would’ve regretted it a bit. <<less

I don’t know what I’m feeling about this

I’m at chapter 207 and I feel like I’m losing interest, the excitement that I felt when I started disappeared.

It is a good novel and I appreciate that till now it’s simple and no heart aching events and I understand what the author was trying to do but it could’ve been better

Close second in my personal chart after HOB. If I have maybe a little annoyance is how You Xiao Mo became a bit too bratty for my taste at some point. Highly recomended.

The story starts very good, but the MC keep hetting dumber and relying on pure luck and his husband to do everything. His husband also treat him like a rag, always calling him dumb, with lox IQ, and not telling him anything because he likes to be mysteryous. The MC can't get angry with him for more than 1 minute, it is frustating.

The only good smut scenes are in the beggining, after that is just like: and they are moaning and doing things.

I wouldn’t honestly give this a 3.5 but like I can’t and a 3 feels too low. Tbh I only finished reading this long ass novel bc of all the time I had already put into it so yea.
The ML is super op and the MC although they start weak asf they have like a super big golden finger plus the ML which is like a huge golden thigh. The MC and ML quickly hit it off ngl.
The ML being so op makes it so that their journey basically has no bumps and basically the MC gets super op before the bumps become mountains which are later just fake mountains tbh bc the ML becomes even more op by doing almost nothing. Like highkey all I can rmbr of the ML is that he’s op and he’s h**ny.
The MC is like weak but bc of his space and natural talent he becomes op rlly quick too. It’s a power couple and they rlly like each other. But skjdksks idk neither of their personalities are really to my personal liking tbh so I wasn’t rlly invested in their relationship.

Okay. First of all I'm giving it five stars. Honestly, This is currently the longest novel i've read and had the patience to read. Over 700 chapters and not even a single one made me feel bored and I diligently finished it in 6 days and a half, a bit slow for me I think. It's thrilling and funny and no major drama involving the MC and ML. I was just tad bit sad because there was no exchange of I LOVE YOU between the two of them which is... more>> for me a tiny anticlimactic because why not right??

Quite an enjoyable read full of laughter. However, there is a point where the MC suddenly has a new personality, and that definitely erked me. There wasn't any time in between being a soft permission and being able to tongue lash others. It also changed the tone of the story significantly. Both MC personalities were enjoyable, but I grumble at the author for suddenly switching gears.

I dropped this because of MC/ML relationship. The worldbuilding is good, you wanna know more and more. There are secrets around MC... But all of these good things are eclipsed by romantic plot.

MC is intelligent and diligent but when ML appears these things just pop, and MC becomes a boring character that just nodding whatever ML says.

Idk I gonna finish it when there won't be good novels to read.

Ah this was awesome. I loved the story and the characters. Eventhough the LX was overbearing, he treats YXM well and protects him (sometimes he just straight out calls him s*upid and treats him like one ? But overall the feels are just wow)

The story was so nice that I didn't want that to end and just wanted to keep on reading >.<

Just give it a read. Only drawback is that there were soo many characters and it's somewhat difficult to remember everyone because they appear and disappear... more>> for like 100 chapters =_=. But please it's worth the read <<less

It’s absolutely adorable and I’ve read this series from start to finish twice. The action scenes are great and the cute short moments of affection will absolutely melt your heart and make you wish you had a relationship like that lol. If you ever have the free time and patience to sit down and read, read this. It’ll make you smile like a fool.

Hands down, one the best novels I’ve read! It’s long ass, but character developments were gradual and sensible.
Short but detailed smuts (starting from ch 66) and several more every 10-20 chapters hehe ?

Eventually, the focus was more on the main couple’s journey and smut scenes became shorter and in passing.
This novel is feel good. It won’t upset you and will not break your heart, which was good for me. I love it ?
Relaxed, funny, fluidly written. There were some minuscule plots left hanging (like using the pill (?) given by YXM’s shifu so he can top ML haha), and minor characters who seem relevant but weren’t afterall. But I don’t mind, their journey was fast-paced.
Ling Xiao was a super hot seme causing the uke You XiaoMo to nosebleed just by staring at him. Fluff all the way.
Yin Ya’s of the best writers out there. Also, check out Jubo by the same author.

Personally, I really love this novel as you can see on the ratings that I gave for this novel. I just love You Xiamo and Ling Xiao. (The main characters)

Although, I admit I love them both it doesn't mean I'll be totally blinded. Just like a few of the reviews written here. Indeed, I notice the relationship between the Main Character and Male Lead.

The story started just right. A typical transmigration novel wherein the main character immediately has to face the problems of struggling to survive and also, to... more>> become strong to live.

The main character is not hard to love. Actually it so easy that you'll immediately be fond of him. That's the type of shou he is.

Now, here comes the male lead, he is already strong and obviously a very good looking individual. So many 'women' are attracted to him without him doing anything. Like I said, another typical trope. He is also smart BUT... I really can't help but frown on how he treated the main character. Although, there are times it can be sweet. Since there are times we tease our partners but you can't help but feel like, isn't a little bit too much? I mean, the main character is smart. I can guarantee that. What he lacks is experience. Yes! EXPERIENCE. and yet, the male lead teases him for being so slow. Which can be frustrating sometimes.

Honestly, although I love them both for some odd reason. I guess, with their aura as a couple. I can't help but ask for the author for them to have consensual s*x. I'm not saying that the main character is always r*pe but I guess, you can interpret it that way as well. The thing is, every time the male lead wanted to do it (sex). He is either be domineering or trick the main character. Although this scenario only happened at the beginning of their relationship since later on its more consensual. Heck, there is one time when its the main character who initiated. So, I just can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Especially, with their first time doing it. The male lead should have been really gentle but no. He was not. He let his carnal desire drive him insane. I just feel bad for the main character since he was not gay or at least still innocent.

Also, regarding the plot. I can't help but notice some, I guess I can say some loopholes. if I focus more on the plot there are times you'll notice like in the beginning.

I was confused about their first enemies in the first arc. although they are not the main villains. I feel like the author did not give enough explanation about them. Like, s/he just didn't bother with them and just say they went with their merry way never to disturb them. That's all.

You'll also notice it near the end, I was a bit disappointed since I feel like the author just wanted to finish the last arc. I wasn't satisfied at all. Like really!

Nevertheless, despite what I said above. I still want you guys to give it a chance. It is not bad. You will still enjoy it. The cultivation stages were at least explain clearly and you will still enjoy their journey to become strong. You'll also enjoy the funny antics of the character so it is not a big loss. Just a few heads up for future readers. <<less

It’s really a good long ride for me. ML is a bully but it becomes better later but still a bully. MC is wise but still mostly husband dependent but it also becomes better later. The world building is superb and the story flow is well structured. There are also other pairs aham BL couples but main focus is on MCxML. This is the best CNovels I read. Im still emotional after finishing it. I don't know whether to read it again or not. At first you can say that YXM is being dependent to LX but every chapter you can really see how YXM grow and become stronger and getting better at refining pills. He tries his best to breakthrough in order to help LX. But I really wanted a story about Tianyi and Yulin couple and Yin Ge and Chiyun couple.

This is one of the best novels I ever read actually I'd put it on the same place in my heart as MDSZ. Finished reading and I'm still going back in my head to the story and what was said. In my opinion I would actually gv this 3.5 with rest the 0.5 for the great translation by Exiled Rebels (as expected from them).

The first and 2nd arc was quite interesting and deserved a 4 star. Then after, the story kind of dragged on. I mean it's 700sth chapters... now I'm stuck at chp 652, I will pick this up but not so soon. Still if u have enough patience go and read. It's enjoyable. It took me a month to complete this behemoth of a story.

The plot of each arc is quite similar. And I felt that the so much more chara / item / back story could be use as plot device but not utilized enough.

Overall it's very enjoyable and light.

And unlike how it is with most of the wuxia and xuanhuan novels, this one doesn't have as many plot hole, actually the plot hole are barely noticeable.

Honestly the first time I read it, I was too preoccupied with the plot to pay attention to anything actually but after reading it for the second time I noticed some things that dissatisfied me immensely.

I do not like how xiaomo treats interc**rse as a punishment and something he is reluctant to perform. I know, it's a very weird thing to be dissatisfied with but it irks me how he behaves as if any for of physical affection makes him cringe and repluse him. Obviously he enjoys it but the acts as if ling xiao is the only one who wants it and he does not like it at all. I hate how it makes ling xiao look and find it hypocritical. I mean I get it that some people are bashful, but honestly there is a difference between being bashful and downright aversion. Because honestly every single time xiaomo describes it as punishment and never once has he ever appreciated it. Which I honestly find too far fetched, people always appreciate pleasure, one way or other. This is the only thing that makes me feel that the relationship becomes unrealistic.

I mean maybe in the beginning I could get it, since he wasn't gay at that point and getting used to it. But after it keeps repeating it just gives me bad vibes honestly. Although it got better near the end but it was dragged for too oong and still, it wasn't nearly as better and a old married couple should be.


Again, I know the Weirdest thing to be irked by, but it realy makes me feel like the hypocrisy is hitting the roof. And also because it really makes ling xiao seem s*x crazed where as intimacy is part of every relationship, and being repulsed by it means you have issues. And I don't mean in any way that a relationship should only be centered around s*x but it is part of being lovers, and xiaomo just makes it look bad.

Also, if xiaomo doesn't really enjoy indulging in intimacy then he can have a serious family meeting with ling xiao about it. I'm sure he would try his best to make him happy in all seriousness.. But NO, he doesn't. *Sigh*

And no I'm not hating on the book, I truely love it despite my dissatisfaction. And what I'm dissatisfied with is entirely me, maybe some people enjoy it. My opinion. I do love the book though. Truely.

That was a truely long rant about s*x, but I do hope I got my point across

When you see the 700 something chapters you may find it hard to read this novel. But as you take your time reading you may lost yourself along with it. This novel is full of adventures and it were written in details to the core. Sometimes it makes me think that I was reading some Herbalist & Beast Encyclopedia because of how detailed they were described. I recommend this to those who like fantasy adventure.

You XiaoMo is a transmigrated soul so from beginning he has zero knowledge about everything. Thus,... more>> he depended on the ML a lot in everything, to the point that he seems to be have low IQ but when he was left alone without ML by his side, you'll find that he indeed have a brain and not a fool. He is the MC in the story but his achievement mostly outshined by the ml's brute power. As a mage, he did a dazzling job in things regarding pill refining and soul power. Unfortunately, the fight scene when You XiaoMo in action himself is few and scarce but truly anticipating.

Ling Xiao seems too OP since the beginning as he is originated from the higher plane and some may have realized from the start that he's not an average practitoner, he literally not a human. In the last 200 something chapters he will sustained the first injury, a few more after that as the fight scenes getting more intense than the early hundreds chapters. It shows that he's not untouchable afterall.

The first half of the novel a bit slow, long and steady journey but the later half became more fast, hectic and dangerous. Overall its a really wonderful adventures, meeting varies of people, fending off enemies, learning from zero to talented, gaining experience and many more.

Last I read this in Apr 29, 2020 and I'm in a frenzy reading zone at that time as it took me 12 days to finish. I'm back for another round of adventure only this round I take my time to slowly pace through this long journey again. It's worth it and I had fun.

This was a pleasure to read. Are the beginning, I thought that the main character, You XiaoMo was gonna be weak and dumb. But he wasn’t. He was very strong it’s just that those close to him kept teasing him by calling him weak and dumb. He leveled up at an appropriate pace and wasn’t extremely overpowered.

Ling Xiao, the main lead, is okay. He’s very playful but only with You XiaoMo. With anyone else, he’s stoic and not very talkative. But he clearly loves his partner. The only thing I... more>> disliked was him calling You XiaoMo his wife. I’ve never liked that aspect of yaoi novels.

Overall, this was a very good read and I enjoyed it a lot. <<less
