Plot, characters, everything really is your typical ancient revenge plot. Plot holes exist and many things just conveniently happen. Gotta switch off your brain to read it.

I'd give this 3 stars, but the translation and writing is subpar so it's only 2.

Well written but it’s honestly exhausting to read sometimes. I feel so bad for the MC (who’s probably the only morally decent person in the entire story). Everyone else is so relentlessly cruel and psychopathic and the villains don’t die or are defeated easily either. They persist through practically the entire story. The story is very common with revenge plot but I never got bored even though it has more than 600 chapters. There is lots of mystery behind the MC so it gets interesting after every chapters. So its a five star for me.

For those who into such "Heavy-Political-Novel"... this is for you..

It took me 2 weeks to read!! Some 780 chapters!! It's really good tho. It's like The Rebirth of an Ill-Fated Consort, The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage, and Marriage of the Di Daughter all smashed into one. I like the main characters though I'm a little disappointed of how the romance developed, it is within their character description but it was a little lackluster.

The ending was abrupt though, I might be missing a few epilogue chapters cause if not, its so sad if thats the ending, I felt like it could continue for another 2 volumes.

This novel really focuses on backyard drama, so not heavy on the political problems, its kind of wild that people are turned off by the political drama added in revenge novels, so if you are worried, its not that deep and its in the background.

WHAT I LOVE THOUGH, is that the MC is an independent woman who solves her own problem. It happens for a long time before the couple... couples up.

But I wished there was more.... plot on the trauma the MC has, she had nightmares and triggering scenarios and it was brushed off to the side. I was hoping to delve deeper in why and how she has trauma.

This novel is not too bad. The MC is all powerful after her rebirth and do no wrong.

The ML was too crazy for my taste and I didn't see how they would end up together, but they did.

it's a typical novel - revenge and plots. But I finished it. It's a good read if you just want to kill time. Chapters are not too long.

The story so far is similar to The rebirth of an ill-fated consort. A deceased mom, evil stepmom and stepsis, fake-indifferent-cruel father & grandma that doesn't care about the FL, and strong-cruel-untouchable ML.

So far, very good!

This story plots doesn't have that many loopholes (there are so many foreshadowing in the beginning) however, the face slapping is a little bit repetitive because for the enemy to get the bad end took quite a long time cuz FL has no power whatsoever except her sudden scheming skill upgrade.

pro: the reason this story deserves at least 4 stars is the romance, although it's slow burn, it's a very good slowburn romance. The process of the relationship is the highlight of the story. The mystery in the novel is well fleshed out from beginning with a lot of foreshadowing and not abrupt.

The con: the repetitive schemes by her enemies (so many loss of reputation lol).

Although this story is full of schemes, the schemes isn't that complicated and can be guessed by conjectures (like what our FL and ML did). I think they both lack equal opponent in scheming.

The ending is a little bit rushed in my opinion, but still acceptable. <<less

It's not a bad read but I spent more than half the novel in disbelief. Plot-wise it’s on the same wavelength as Rebirth of Malicious Empress of Military Lineage, but it’s more unnecessarily dragged out and the MC isn’t on par with Shen Miao.

The problem is the ML, there’s nothing good about him at all! He’s a sociopath and annoying as hell! The MC was only 14 years old but he couldn’t wait to marry her and even made her personally make all his clothes. This is the first time I've read a Chinese novel this long (and until the end). Before she was reborn, she was also an ancient person, so her growth to be a strong woman flows naturally. (If she was a modern person reborn in an ancient setting, than it is no wonder to be smart. Since she's not, it made the story more interesting). I started reading this novel because I was starting to miss dog blood drama lol

This novel has good face slapping scenes, characters are not overwhelmingly s*upid and the plot is not only about beating s*upid young misses. There is some kind of mystery that the FMC is trying to unravel.

However, I find her sudden totally unexplainable. I don't wanna complain about that because otherwise she would get trampled on by the ML even more.

Because currently, he is totally unlikable. Not very r*pey but still extremely overbearing. Well to put it simply, he is treating her like tr*sh. He is so needlessly OP too.

I'm just curious at this point and wondering how the heck will the FMC like such an unlikable person. We're 200 chapters in and all she wants is saying away from him. And I like this attitude because it shows she has some basic common sense. We all know this kind of ML are "bewitchingly beautiful" but I'm glad she's not like "oh gOYd he IS sOOO hOt, I cAnT rEfusE hIM"

The translation is pretty confusing so beware of that. The use of modern term like "dating" and "crush" is making me Cringe. The use of co-madam instead of secondary wife (ceshi) is terribly misleading as well because there are not two legal wives but one legal one and another one who is a concubine but just nobler than that. The use of madam dowager is also weird, "old madam" would have been better.

But we can't only complain about that I guess. The translation is more readable than MTL so I'm already grateful. <<less

Melodrama all the way, typical story of ancient reborn mistreated girl getting revenge on those who wronged her and scoring herself a rich, influential hottie. Basics of basics.
Me personally, am not very found of rebirth since more than half of those cases fall under 1. extreme unluckiness or 2. absolute uselessness (worst case, both) that turns into the golden protagonist plot armour + halo and IQ boost.
And this particular story happens to fall under all categories. MC is a schemer, but why didn't she scheme before for her own gains or save her own skin? There was wiggle room for sure before she died the first time. The translation has always an impact on the story, sadly, the translator doesn't seem to have any knowledge on ancient people terms like statuses (or didn't bother to do the research, cause you def. can find it online). A lot of interpersonal relationships can seem confusing because of this; the older female servants being called 'Mother' and the old madam of the house referred to as 'Madam Dowager', the main concubine/secondary wife (ceshi) to 'co-madam'... Not sure if I want to cry or laugh at these translated made-up titles.

Well, I guess I liked it well enough to finish reading it. The main complaint would be that villains were s*upid, but so annoying. It was impossible to get rid of them. They would always pop out with some new scheme against our FL.

Cliche and boring. That about sums it up. The translation quality is so-so, a little better than good, but I wouldn’t say very good or great. The story itself is just one long drawn-out drama with your typical overused tropes which makes it crazy dull. I mean the whole thing is so hackneyed I just couldn’t continue.

I have mixed feeling about this novel. You could fine many novela with the same plot. Deceased mother, unloved by father, bullied by sisters, ignored by grandmother, all noble ladies hated her and every noble gentleman will fall in love with her.

The story is dragging and slow with similar plot in every arc.

With some common plot with many plot holes, I found out that it hard to put down without finishing it.

Like above review by Speracles, this novel like potato chips with too much artificial flavour without nutritional value, but... more>> you couldn't help and crave it occasionally then once you taste it then you ate the whole pack.

I enjoyed the story personally but with a few grumble while reading it.

Story is quite good. It would have been better with less chapters instead of dragging. Every male character seems to fallen in love with her and at the same time want to kill her, that too for no reason. They try conspire against heroine even when they have their own problems. All characters are bad except for few. Author always mention hero as bloodthirsty and asura everytime he appears as if we forget it. If we ignore so many s*upid conspiracies wle can read it.
