Amamiya Hiroto is unlucky. His life consisted of misfortune after misfortune, culminating in an unlucky death during an incident on a school boat trip, trying to save a girl he barely knew. After death, he met a god of reincarnation who requested that the hundred or so dead passengers—one of them being the girl he tried in vain to save—be reincarnated into another world.

Yet a series of unfortunate events forced Hiroto to reincarnate with even less luck than before, starting with nothing but a tremendous amount of Mana. His second life, far worse than his first, came to a cruel end.

However, upon meeting the god a second time, he was informed that there would be yet another reincarnation—one that had already been set in motion and could not be stopped. Not wanting Hiroto to live long, the god cursed him before he was reborn in the hopes that he would either die quickly or commit su*cide.

Hiroto was reborn once more as a half-Vampire, half-Dark Elf. A Dhampir. Not wanting a fourth life, he is determined to live this third life with the only things remaining from his previous lives—death-attribute magic and his enormous Mana pool.

Imagine slime + mushoku tensei + a goddess with zero believers combined and made into a dark fantasy. I've really been enjoying it quite a lot. It's a revenge story with good world building, politics, cast of characters and even tells multiple stories at the same time that end up converging together. The way that these two stories converge and the conflicts that arise from the two are things that make the story enjoyable for me. Many times I would pause and think about the situation that's happening in the... more>> chapter I'm reading and try to find what the best resolution is. In my opinion, stories that make me WANT to stop and think like that are special in a way.

Regardless, there's a lot to be said about this series so I'll try to condense everything. This story has many gods, multiple worlds, many countries and even more people. There is a massive cast of unique characters. The conflicts and drama that is set up between some of them is great because of the circumstances that the protagonist is under. Yes this is vague, but I don't want to spoil anything. The main character is born as a race that has many prejudices against it and seeing him deal with this and live his life regardless is one of the stories strengths. He's a bit insane but that's why we love him. The best part about this character is that we see him grow up from the very beginning with minimal time-skips. The world building is better than most isekai novels. The magic system is okay but not that interesting. The game-like mechanics are fun at first but become overwhelming and eventually they just become annoying info dumps. However, there are so many chapters and each is so long that these info dumps are a really minor thing in the grand scheme of things. Typical harem collector story but it for some reason has zero romance, no fan service and is forced. This is odd, because it makes me question why the author even adds it to the story at all but happy because I'm interested in the other stuff anyway. It seems its just a dumb gag? There is another one of these dumb gags with idol girls that makes me roll my eyes but whatever. All things considered, I don't have many complaints about this novel.

I would highly recommend anyone that enjoys dark fantasy to give this a read. Like I mentioned before, if you enjoyed mushoku tensei, slime or goddess with zero believers then it is absolutely up your alley. I give this novel an 8.5/10 <<less

The first four chapters were fantastic. MC had multiple hellish lives, a unique and potentially overpowered element, instead of being blessed by a god he was screwed over and cursed by one. Gets yet another chance and swears to extract vengeance.

Sounds great so far, right?

Sadly though it doesn’t stay that way though. After that he starts a rather rapid transformation into a beta MC. He plans on revealing his reincarnations despite how much it could potentially screw him. Then his mother the ONE person who has ever loved him gets... more>> tortured and potentially r*ped (the author wasn’t super clear about it) to death. And guess what! He swears to get vengeance and kill them.

Then after more than a hundred chapters he never gets his revenge on any of them despite having the chance. And in general acting like another typical beta protagonist whose true purpose is to make a harem. I held on for 150 chapters hoping this would change purely because the immense potential at the beginning of the novel.

The only reason I’m rating this 2 stars instead of one is because the harem isn’t stereotypical and it has a good beginning <<less

Honestly this story could become a masterpiece but failed midway, because Author turned vengeful MC into a typical kind Isekai MC. He even didn't kill the townspeople that burned his mother and laugh at her, MC only destroyed their home, what a good natured and kind person.

The author wasted MC personality that he had build since the beginning, and I though he is going for massacre according to the flow of the story and his personality, but no! author want a kind, caring Isekai MC, and so here you go...

After reading up to chapter 9, there are some things that I do not really like. The novelty wears off pretty quickly and then you're just left with a frankly boring plot with mediocre, uninspired writing. That's right, a story about a necromancer can somehow be boring. Read the story to find out how. Let's start with the premise of the story. The entire thing is caused by a God making a mistake by giving MC's powers to some other guy just because their names sounded kind of similar. Really? A God with divine powers being that incompetent? Sorry, but literally any other backstory would have made more sense. And then after the God realized his mistakes, he made the most half-assed attempt to fix it, resulting in the ridiculously contrived situation that the MC found himself in at the start of the story.

I felt that the MC's mom getting
Spoiler

r*ped and mu*dered

[collapse]

didn't really do anything for the plot. The MC had already gone through much worse, so it's not like he's learning about how cruel humans can be - he already knows that. So I feel like it didn't really add anything to the story. The MC tells himself not to take revenge for his mom because that would expose his existence and attract more powerful enemies - so, you'd think, if attracting attention is the main concern, then maybe take revenge more discretely would be a good idea.

What does he do? He makes golems out of all the walls and homes of everyone who lives in the city, whilst leaving the mayor and people who tortured his mom totally unharmed. So what does this achieve? 1. It's flashy and attracts lots of attention. 2. It doesn't actually harm those who he wanted to get revenge on. So basically the worst possible decision he could have made.

If he was so scared about attracting attention then he should have just left the city alone, and if he wanted revenge so badly then he could have just gone and killed the mayor and the torturers. Instead he does the complete opposite - attracts attention AND fails to avenge his mom. Just genius.

He also has some OP skills that he almost never uses - mind control of the dead for example, meaning whenever someone dies their souls become mind controlled by him and he can get to know everything they knew. So far he has only used this ability like once or twice, when he could have juiced every soul he came across for all their information. Again, doesn't seem very pragmatic of him.

All the characters up to chapter 9 have been just puppets of the MC. The only independently minded character to begin with was his mom, until she died and became his puppet. His only companions are walking skeletons and dead souls, who are mind controlled by him and do not have independent wills - his servants basically. Reading their travels is like reading about a kid playing with his toy soldiers. Very boring and repetitive - skeleton man kills a bandit, bone bear kills a goblin, etc.

I don't know how you can manage to make a story like this boring but this author has managed to do it. Kudos to him I guess.

I previously gave this a 5 star but I was mistaken greatly. Story started with strong revenge plot but then took 180 degree dive. Like usual MC is your typical goody two shoes shining knight. Goes the whole approach of revenge plot introduced us through 2 lives of pain and suffering into your usual harem themed generic isekai. Its like the past event didn't even transpire. You would think a person would develop some type of personality that resonates his tragic past if he/she went through 2 lives worth of... more>> suffering but nope, he doesn't show any changes and he is back to being his old self he was in his first life. This raises a question as to why were those tragic bits written in the first place? Simply to provide the protagonist with a temporary goal? (Which was gritty revenge at first but got changed real quick since IT IS an isekai JP novel and it has to follow the norm)

Also whenever I think about this novel I always imagine how author betrayed me. This novel isn't a revenge set plot but a go around the world searching for beautiful chicks to pick around kinda novel with no goal what so ever. This novel would be a lot better if it didn't have the misleading summary and beginning arc. <<less

Sooo good, I'm loving this so far. The translation itself is excellent and we've got an interesting MC who's a decent person with an understandable, non-edgelord-y reason for wanting revenge. I like his approach to his new life (including planning to not hide his life pre-reincarnation) and I look forward to seeing how things pan out!

When you view the scores for this novel, keep in mind the following points:

    1. Ignore reviews with high ratings and chapter read below 100, they don't know much about this novel.
    2. Don't ignore the low rating, low read chapter, they are pro-reader
    3. The first ~4X chapter of the story is a "trick" by the author to lead you to think that "this story is a complex story, where the MC and mother just tried to survive, but obstacles keep coming their way"
    4. Most reader probably read, the first few chapters, leave amazingly good review, read further, stops, don't bother to edit review.
So here's my review after reading so far, no story spoiler, Bad points first:

The Author failed to deliver the Planned Genre. Author intended this novel to have complexity and depth while maintaining survival genre, however, the MC survival chapter goes straight into EASY MODE real fast.

Spoiler
  1. 90% of character whom MC found in the first 70 Chapter became Zealot solely for the sake off MC religion. MC gain loyalty and ally very easily, no challenge, no character building.
  2. MC gain Plot armor level spells, there's no challenge or whatsoever even reading until 200ch++, all problems (Life problems, battles, raising army, etc) were solved like flipping hand.
  3. 95% of Characters are bland, and some are straight s*upid, most of the opponent are s*upid. The MC is smart, at least that's what the author trying to write. But when the opponent is s*upid, and the solutions to problems are simple, you can't appreciate the MC.
  4. MC don't try to think about the future (except few lines, in which author tried to persuade reader "YES, MC has lots of trouble", which turns out to be minor troubles), MC does everything, everyone worshiped him like GOD, others are just bots without Brain once became allies.
  5. The mother character is almost forgotten, and barely mentioned and presented just for the sake of showing "She's still there in the story, I (author) haven't forgot about her". No truly significant development, probably until much......... later.
  6. The story are FUWA2, significant amount of paragraph were taken to describe MC and their allies FUWA2 life. Yuck, even when the supporting chara are barely likeable. If you read Tate Yuusha Fuwa2 time, this novel fuwa2 time are far below that.
  7. Although the Battles in the novel were written as if there were strategically planned, no, when you summarize the battle, it's very simple, and no smart thinking were involved. It's just the author way of pairing who against who, and they contest in brute power. Don't expect smart battles where it involves multiple layer of trick & deceptions, at most there's only 1 layer of tricks & deception in this novel (feign, play dead, etc).
  8. Author worship Japanese food, the Food chapter is simply the worst read of all. Author need to broaden his view in RL, there's many other amazing food out there. There's no point in writing isekai stuff, if it's all about Japanese food.
  9. Survival genre was lost completely, and MC doesn't seem to have the Handicap despite it's there (Age, can't lvl up, etc).
  10. World Building is not that great, since everything was easy for the MC, and food were mostly about recreating-Japanese food. Dungeons pops out for the sake of convenience for the MC (And once again MC cheese through it), Cities, Allies, and Ruins also pops out for the convenience of the MC.
  11. I think the god that transport the MC, had given the MC the greatest blessing of all, "World revolve arounds you".
[collapse]

Despite what I had written above, it seems that many readers like the novel, just not my cup of coffee. The novel might turns out to be amazing farther into the chapters, but I just can't muster enough willpower to keep reading. MC 180 degree Personality turn, fated to be hero by prophecy, etc2, is still acceptable for me, but it's just simply impossible to muster the willpower when the other characters in the story are just hollow shells.

New readers can go try read the novel, which I don't actually recommend.

Read up to 70ish chapter, and decide whether you want to continue or not, since it will continue that way for much longer.

If you are novice WN/LN reader or someone who seeks easygoing and lighthearted novel, this might be for you. If you seek quality/suspense WN/LN, avoid this.

Good Points:

Spoiler

Potential to be great story, if you can read that far. It's only POTENTIAL, not guaranteed.

Translated chapters get updated frequently, Frequent updates = frequent donations

Therefore, expect dedicated release.

Hats off to those who could find a flaw in this flawless novel. I am surprised to see people calling the MC 'typical isekai mc' or the characters '2D'. Let me get this straight for you- THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ISEKAI or as far as I'm concerned THE BEST J-NOVEL THERE IS. There is nothing in this novel that can disappoint you.

There are some people who are tr*shing this novel because... more>>

MC's harem candidates already have had children or the MC helped them have s*x in front of him.

[collapse]
Well let me tell you this, this is novel does not have a romance tag only a harem tag, get it? The girls don't necessarily follow him because they love each other, in most cases its because they have mutual respects for each other and the girls just want to offer themselves (not throw themselves like a wh*re) to the MC.

THIS IS NOT A F*CKING ROMANCE NOVEL with idiotic harem candidates making MC's life a living hell and dogging the MC around on their whims.

Many of his harem members are virg*ns and those that are not, have valid reasons:

  1. In their races, there is no concept of marriage
  2. They are hundreds of years old so of course, they have had s*x.
There is another set of people that say the MC lamed out, he started out revenge oriented but within 20 chapters did a 180. To those people I can only hope that may God forgive you and give at least a double-digit IQ in their next life. Just ignore these idiotic remarks and read the novel, if you think the same then don't read it but if you are a rational person I'm sure you will also see these idiotic comments as infuriating.

Just so you know the people on whom the MC wanted revenge on or whoever came in his way, died a really painful death, and by really painful I mean REALLY painful.
Spoiler

Also he didn't kill everyone in the village because they didn't have any part in his Mom's death and those who did would be unaffected or could even profit from villagers' deaths. And it's later revealed that what he did to the village almost destroyed the whole life and career of the people who were responsible for his Mom's death (except Five coloured blades)

List of some Pros and Cons for this novel.

PROS

  1. The translation quality is awesome and is just like an original English novel.
  2. The chapter length is the biggest I have seen in any (web) novel until know.
  3. Side characters are important and are given proper screen time (or whatever you call in case of novels).
  4. The author puts up the current statuses of MC and co-characters regularly.
  5. The World Building is awesome and wherever the MC is wrong there is a proper reason for his lack of knowledge.
  6. The MC is not a wussy who gets ragged about by some king or nobles or his lovers.
  7. And the biggest pro: THE MC IS SUPER DUPER OP
CONS

  1. Slow update due to chapters being too long.
  2. According to the current speed of the novel, it will probably last at least 800-1000 chapters.
  3. Nothing else...
I sincerely recommend you to read this novel. Trust me you won't regret it.

Read at least 10 chapters before deciding whether you like it or not. And read for the story, worldbuilding, thought processes of characters, etc. not for virg*n harem members.

PS. You can probably guess from my username but I am a huge fan of this series. :p <<less

It has started with a nice motivation: MC life was shit, scum incompetent bug god reincarnated him into a even shittier one, MC suffered hell for 10 years, then was killed by the one who got every blessing that must have been his, reunites with said bug god, promises to get his revenge on everyone including him, gets cursed by bug god to have a shittier life to die quickly and be reincarnated/wiped out on the fourth and final time, MC promises he'll live to get his revenge on bug... more>> god and the 100 others reincarnators, only to some chapters later the the MC be mellowed down in his third time, and fail to get his revenge at the village who burned his mother, and then proceeds to become as incompetent as possible...

It was because of novels like this that I got to know xianxia stories, to quench my thirst of good efficient ruthless revenge driven MCs who promises revenge and do it in the most glorious of ways if you ever cross their bottom line a single time.

Why, I ask, why you write a MC only to suffer, you write his life as complete hell on heart, make him vow a edgelord revenge promise, only to throw all that world and character building in the tr*sh chapters later, denying his right for vengeance by means of generic shitty harem rom-com slice of life writing? Worse yet is when you write then finally getting their revenge, only to forgive the scum and say that classic "i can be better than you", then let the scum live, even if said scum killed everyone that the MC cherished... <<less

Same old reincarnation theme but with a really great plot. Even though it's early this novel seems like it's gonna be really good. Translation quality is 10/10.
Plot so far is 10/10.
World building so far 10/10 (I already have a general idea of the people and the mentality of the world he was transported to.)

I was really mistaken when I read this, I thought it'd be another "transported to another world comedy" with cheesy subpar action and a inept protagonist. Glad I decided to read it. The... more>> protagonist, is screwed over a lot, you'll de finely understand his motivation for revenge. Original life was crap, second life was 100 times worse, and his third life, when he reconsiders his revenge, it's flipped upside down but now he has the power to retaliate. <<less

The prolouge is very promising with all the revenge flags. But it turned into a *fuwa fuwa* kind after the death of his mother.

I was expecting something serious from him, while keep being cool and sane but still ruthless, I was expecting that. He turned soft and likely to forgive easily.

The flow is slow and too many unneccessary talks with "harem" tag.

I know he still has a lot of hardships to deal with in the future, but I dont like this MC, it looks like author strayed from the way he should have been.

Chapter 7 made me decide to write a review for this novel. If you're taking a shot at reading this novel, I suggest making it to Chapter 7, the chapter of revenge. The results are quite unexpected, and there is something thought provoking about it. Originally going into the novel, I was expecting something like a mindless blood-fest type of revenge. But this is not the case at all. For the most part, the main character is level-headed, strategical, and methodical about extracting revenge. He thinks about what he wants,... more>> and is resolute in his decision making. Although at times his mind is a bit warped, that much is to be expected given the premise of the story.

Although there is exactly 0 of it yet, this novel does have the tags of harem, "comedy" and ecchi; I greatly hope it does not go downhill because of that, like sadly most do. <<less

The story isn't bad, it's just that the author makes the MC contradict himself a lot. The MC shouts at god after his death about how he's going to massacre the heroes for not even trying to help him and instead they just killed him outright, and how he's going to kill god for being an arse, then his mother dies and his revenge is destroying some buildings lol. Then, he decides not to actually take revenge on the heroes because he's too weak with his enormous mana pool that surpasses all the heroes and his op death magic.... seriously?

Where did his threats to god go?! Where is the real mc?

Wasted character development at the start is wasted.

This is a hidden gem of a novel (at least so far).

You have a severely unlucky protagonist get passed over in more ways than one... which results in unspeakably tragic results.

If you want fun, light hearted banter or comedy get read Everyone Else is a Returnee, (which is fantastic btw) but if you want the darker side of being passed over when God is handing out the blessings read this instead.

I have read 200 chapters and read some reviews. I see many people who likes mindless and without reason killing in reviews. So, they don't like this novel and MC because he is not mindless and don't kill without any reason, but they thought he will.

World are well developed like many others said. Personalities are well developed too. It is not like in many novels where MC opponents looks like mindless zombies who wants to kill MC for no reason and without care about them self. So here are some who choose to kill MC, here are some who choose to join MC and here are some who choose to not get involved with MC. Like normally people should do. Can't all people choose to oppose MC, it is not logical.

MC and most other people will not follow just liner thoughts, they can get angry and say something they do not mean. And they will not follow what they said in anger.

The only problem are slow translations. It is about 2 chapters per month. I read Chinese novels and they get 1 chapter per day. So two chapters per month are slow for me :)

Short spoiler from 200 chapters.

MC was never evil or mindless killer. MC was good from the very start, but he had suffered for long so he said things which are opposite to his nature. And many reviewers thought he will be mad killer, but MC is not man killer. But he is not saint who don't kill. He needs very important reason to kill.

Other reviewers said MC did not killed village who killed his mother, but villagers did not killed his mother, so he don't have a reason to kill them. They may said something bad about mother but they did not killed her. She was killed by some lunatics (religious people) and this people have been killed by MC when he became strong enough to kill them. Here was some hunters who sold information about his mother and they have been killed too. Adventure group who caught his mother will be killed later. He had not forgiven them. And people who said bad things about MC mother had been punished, but not killed, because to say something bad is not worth killing. Only psychos will kill for it.

    • This novel is pretty good. Its really awesome. Tho some ppl are complaining that the MC became a typical, kind MC, I dont think thats really that bad. It isnt that he just randomly becomes kind, he becomes kind because of his mother.
    • u can read the spoiler part if uve read till ch 10~15 or something
    • Spoiler

and well, as for why he exacted revenge as only destroying some buildings, I can give an explanation on that. First of all, he will exact revenge on the ppl that killed her (The Priest, The Party, the baron etc) but atm he didnt have the power to do so. And as for why he didnt Massacre the towns ppl, there are a few reasons for that, the first is that, due to the love his mother showed him, his desire for revenge and mental darkness had subsided (a lot) which I personally think is pretty heart warming and logical considering how both his previous lives were. So, he really didnt want to kill innocent kids and ppl. The second is that he can revive his mother anyway so killing only those involved is good enough (dark enough?) in my opinion. Besides, if he really killed innocent people, the hundred cheaters will probably not leave him alone in the future and wont believe in him (believe it!). And from what I can tell, from the start, the author wanted the MC to become something like that. Like from a dark MC to a pure MC, kind of original imo. And the setting he chose, him forgiving the cheaters (who he hated unfairly, considering they didnt know anything, he should just hate that god) due to his mothers lovs really heartwarming and just lovable

      [collapse]
    • He also turns out to be pretty awesome so u should really give this series a go.

Well I read till chapter 50 and this is what I have to say:
Spoiler

I should say that this novel is very different from your usual isekai novels and if you get really tired of those stories this one can entertain you for a while.

Chapters are long and you are free from almost all of the bullshits of isekai stories. World building is also good.

But as I said, Almost.

This story have a lot of faults too.

First, you can see a lot of cliches things like everyone speech Japanese, which is truly on my nerve but author somehow justify why. Well we can ignore it.

What was really on my nerve was that author try to said Japan's food is the best and spend around 10 chapters (at this point I drop this novel so I don't know if its continue or nor) telling about awesomeness of Japan's food and how he reproduce it in another world. I won't go in detail like how the hell they found the exact same ingredients in another world when you can't find then in the countries near Japan.

Second, author like to push as much heroines as he can into MC. You can see every single woman that MC see is a beauty that somehow fall in love with MC or want to have baby with him. I should remind you that some of them fall in love for a 1 year old infant AND now he is 3. '-'

Author don't even lets a corpse of beautiful woman pass by and somehow revive her to add her in harem.

Third, Mc's act like a brainless bug. You may find it ridiculous but he have no brain even thought he move around.

Why? Cause a lot of his actions prove he don't have a brain. In the spoilers bellow I mention one of them:

Spoiler

He want to avoid attentions but decide to makes the walls of a town into golems and attract the attentions of the whole empire. '-'

Think about it killing people who r*pe and torture your mother and then born it leaves any mark about you or let all of them alive and do something as flashy as turning the wall of the town into golems and let everybody watch it?

[collapse]

Forth, There is absolutely no character development and all of the characters are like puppets. At the first chapter author explain how MC hate every so call heroes and want to all of them, have extreme hater for humanity and want to massacre all of them and the next chapter he is thinking about peace and... the reason is because his mother love him. The same mother that got r*ped, tortured and burn by the humans.

And the mother with everything happened to her is a happy-go-lucky person. '-'

Fifth one is that author have a really strange fetish for piercing. And he show it with piercing woman's tongue and belly. '-'

If you ignores above faults its a good novel to read. ^-^

The biggest problem is that he's got a crippling inferiority complex.

He is absolutely certain that he can't defeat the hundred other individuals when they reincarnate, so he tries to put it all behind him and not revenge himself.

Not only is he already aware that this is pointless, as god has it in for him and will screw him over, but it basically removes any and all conflict and tension from the story.

Which makes the character kind of irritating and the story pretty boring as things progress.

This is perhaps the worst premise for a revenge-seeking protagonist ever. The protagonist has always been unfortunate and acknowledges that he had no friends or close people. He dies and the God makes a mistake so he has another crappy life where he ends up as a horrifying zombie creature with death magic. So he decides to get revenge on them because they "forgot" about him (they barely knew him anyways) and thought he was a monster? The God is the biggest target here, the classmates are hardly at fault.... more>> But in a way, the God is only curisng him because he turned so revenge obsessed. Also, while the character isn't right now, half-darkelf, half vampire, with death magic screams of edgelord later. But when you want to fulfill your revenge fantasy story, I guess its good enough. Gave it a three due to a potentially interesting world and the character planning on exposing his secret which is different. <<less

This is one of those 10/5 novels that have nearly no flaws at all, and leaves you feeling uber satisfied.

Every single part of this novel (plot, setting, characters, etc.) is a masterpiece, so I won't summarize and just say that this novel is best read with a clean slate. All you need to know is that the heavily abused 'reincarnation', 'revenge' and 'other world' tropes are handled in a most masterful and unique way by this author. So far, this story's plot is in good hands.

The chapters, I must say,... more>> are deceptively long and it will take you some time if you think you can read this in just one session.

The character development is arguably the best I have ever seen. The MC faces many situation that would normally lead to a detached and edgy personality. To my delight, the MC makes correct choices, and is no way some as*hole that thinks killing is justified when its bandits or even people who have seriously wronged him. He is always rationally thinking when it comes to these difficult choices, adding to the realism.

Have fun reading! <<less

To be honest The Death Mage Who Doesn't Want A Fourth Time isn't like your typical isekai story that the MC can get strong in a matter of minutes nor is it a barbaric novel where the MC will and must kill the people who have done bad to him in his past life, honestly this novel started with a dark start making us believe it will likely end up like Arifureta or The Brave Tale of The Forsaken Hero buuuuut it didn't go in that direction the main character... more>> Vandalieu is a character who seems emotionless and doesn't particularly care about those who killed him in his second life at most you may think when will he do his revenge already but chill things only get interesting after vol 3, his revenge? He does in his own time and it won't be as brutal as what you see in Nidome no Yuusha either nor will he go insane cause of his past. He moves forward, I thought that this story will be a lot like Kuro no Maou that he will always be weak and will always fail BUT he actually pulls through despite the negative reviews this novel is top notch in world building, it doesn't leave the backgrounds of its characters hanging on a thread of information with lack of depth, and it actually delivers on its revolution, it makes you see that you should pay attention to the side stories that is how deep it is. So for those seeking a novel full of revenge and blood and gore n stuff this ain't for you but if you are in for the journey of this dhampir who got nothing but death attribute and his enormous mana then welcome to the parade

EDIT (1 and half year later) : An almost two years in and the novel still gives a punch and brings entertainment to all who would love to read it. I mean I have read it for the longest time possible and it only gets better, the MC gets more allies and he takes it slow without a single worry about who or what is coming after him. I mean this novel wasn't even looked at when it first began but look where it is now, its in the top 5 as no. 2 and it sure delivers when you see the negative reviews about this novel please scoff and say "Elite pro-readers lol (kusa) " <<less

I LOVE this series <3

The first 1-2 chapters are a little slow and a bit dull but it cant be avoided since it is the intro into the situation and world

MC is both OP and really weak, which is to say depending on how he uses his abilities he can be weak or strong, and I think the restrictions put on him as an individual make it all the more interesting to see how he will grow

All the characters are unique and very original, there are some stereotypes but they... more>> are in the right place and well executed

Battles are getting better and better

The general plot is very interesting and original, it has a lot of room to be expanded and it has a clear goal which means it will be hard for the purpose and direction of the story to be lost

Power levels are clearly defined from the start and are easy to understand and track

all in all

LOVE it - RECOMMEND it - CAN'T WAIT 4 MORE <<less
