Just a mediocre transmigration, harem Chinese LN that is mostly just a bunch of stitched together cliches. The writing started off reasonably good and I had my hopes up which made it even more disappointing as it quickly devolved into the usual fare. The protagonist started off looking like a rational person who could differentiate right and wrong but by the end, he simply looked like a hypocrite who justifies whatever suits him as right. It looked like it might deviate a bit from the "might is right" and "It's... more>> smart and morally acceptable because I said so" with Su Mu showing some concern for the value of life. But after initially flirting with a rational MC, the writer went right back to writing a hypocrite willing to sacrifice millions of people and break promises to get what he wants with a "oh well, it's all good because the MC won". The "this character is suddenly passionately in love with the MC because I said so" one is very strong with this one. Also, characters' feelings make complete 180 degrees suddenly just to put a specific cliche scene in place and go back to same as before once done.

In a good novel, you like the characters more and more as you start reading more about them and understand them. But in this one, pretty much all characters start off being decent enough but as you get to know more about them, the contradictions and OOC actions make them either unlikeable, not understandable or plain stale. By the time I was done, the only characters I could stand were Yun Feiyan (the woman) and the crown prince of Wu, possibly because they only have small parts and the writer didn't get to write them to destruction.

The writing overall feels amateurish with random elements added and forgotten after just to push the plot forward. The guy in the harem whose fiance was killed by Su Mochi was put in prison around midway and then the writer completely forgot about him, leaving him to rot in prison. For some reason, his father doesn't give a damn and proceeds to serve the MC.

With the pirated technology piece too, it's a bit fantastic that a regular CEO knows enough to help create steam locomotives, explosives, agricultural implements and vaccines, all in a few years. While it's not as bad as some of the others where a regular high school girl makes ceramic and steel out of nowhere, these are simply not technologies that could be developed that quickly especially without other allied technologies. <<less

All in all, this wasn’t a bad story. I enjoyed the MC’s cunningness, his tactics, the way he introduced inventions and modern-day solutions to the world. The translation was awesome and nothing was terrible.

HOWEVER.

The emotional aspect of this story was weak. Whether it was the romance, or any human connections, everything was unaffected and impersonal. The Harem cast become tropes that remained without much personality, except h**ny and one other trait (Ex, Smart).

Su Mu was also very unrealistic. Imagine being a modern-day person, transported to another world in Ancient Times... more>> as a hated prince/princess. You are known for being bloodthirsty and tyrannical. Su Mu’s transition was way too easy and unrealistic. He so easily condemned people to die, and manipulated almost everyone. It was interesting at best, annoying at worst.

If the beginning of the novel was interesting and refreshing, the ending was bland, half-assed and expected. This novel had the capacity to make me cry, feel for the characters and situations, understand the impacts of war and class but... didn’t.

TL;DR It was wasted potential. Not bad, but not great. <<less

usually I dont fancy of harem because shou always weaks. But this one change my mind exactly! I’m not regret reading it! Full of satisfying, op shou and not all ml’s op only 2 mls op n all mls op in the bed uhuhuu. Ops, was author forget Qin Ye? I would like harem with strong and op shou not kind of weak shou!! I hope I can find another novel like this!!

I am so grateful that I read this.

This is one of the book that I was willing to waste my time with.

He's basically a CEO of an huge company, so he's good at doing business and leading people. And I was falling in love with his personality.

he's not a saint, not a devil. He basically have the lust for men too. He wasn't hypocrite enough to hide his desire. I like that he's honest and immediately found one of the harem member to sleep with because of his body condition. And about him who's from the future, he wasn't too op. As a modern person looking at another one, he doesn't have the knowledge that much, like in engineering, agriculture, etc, he just used his basic knowledge to make sure the kingdom developed.

And in politic or psychology, he is pro in it. Although some of it, had the help of his people. I love this not too weak and not too strong character. It's moderate and honest.

About the ML (s) :

They all have their own fields. Some of em, good at politic, some at martial arts, some at spying, some at medicine etc. All of them not too op and not too weak. They all are likeable and cunning. They can scheme, but always fails because MC basically can counter attack back. Although they are powerless, they basically a beast on bed.

Low key want more bed scenes...

About the plots:

It's brilliant! It's colourful and imaginative. The plot is thick. Even for veteran like me who basically had reads a ton of same troupe, it's still good.

The author give us good amount of sus, a little big of sadness, and a bucket of comedy. A little bit saucy. There's sweets and bitter.

And I'm amazed that they tried to tackle the sexism that happen on the past century.

a woman who dares to stand up against society, she doesn't blame the people who kill her fam, but instead mad at the world for decided others fates. She definitely a role model to modern people. Although I wish there's more development for this, sadly it's just a short one, I wish to see how the Qing develop more under MC leads.

I also hope there's more interaction with common folks. There's interaction, but I wish more.

MC also have crisis where he's in trouble. And his enemies always tried hard to strike him down.

Sometime it made me frust, others time make me suffocated and sometime make me want to cry, or laugh.

Although the ending is rushing. It's also good. I wish there's like vol 2 or something. It's kinda unsatisfied to leave it like this. but overall, it's a good story to inspire people. There's few why in my head, like why him? Is it just coincidence? Or why is him are CEO? Why him ? And what can life did he live before? I'm so curious about those things. So yeah. I wish there's more, and not rushing like the ending.

Oh yeah, BIG HUG TO THE TRANSLATOR (S) ! although there's mistakes here and there, I genuinely appreciate the hard works.

My honest review is that DISAPPOINTING.

Character development is not well-built. It looks so shallow and forced. From the beginning, the author didn't give enough explanation about the current environment and MC's background. So without enough background of MC, what would you expect for the other supporting characters? It is an obvious DISASTER. SO MESSY!.

I can see that the TRANSLATOR gave enough effort to translate this not novely novel. So I gave 2 stars for the translation. Without it, even 1 star could be more.

From the review, I realized the MC... more>> is shou. So for the MC being shou and transmigrated into the emperor and this novel being harem, I really tried hard to continue. But I can't stand anymore. Maybe from the plot description, I put high expectation.

Also, MLs so far, so idle. While MC is so overpowered and being shou, I can't find any reason to couple powerful MC with these idle guys. Even, MLs being concubine cannot justify this enough!

I read from comments that spooky chapters will start from c26. If you want to read SMUTTY SCENE without any good plot, maybe try it. <<less

The plot is kind of confusing and there are some points which were left out (this might've been because I mtl'd it) and never mentioned again. I also feel that the plot was kind of misdirected at points and didn't really have a solid base but I guess it's solid enough since it's just, "build you kingdom to greatness" bs. MC survives after almost dying and then they do some (not even heartfelt, or was like one line) heart duo bs where they go, "and then the kingdom of Qing flourished, the end". It left me with nothing. The ending is a waste tbh.

I also hoped for more involvement of his past knowledge (life? Before the transmigration/reincarnation) other than using it to make his kingdom great. I hoped for something more.

There isn't really a single ML (there's 5) and I felt as if they didn't really conflict that much which was nice. It didn't feel like some shitty cheating work and for the most part passed my moral check for royalty.

Their personality are great (kinda, 7/10) though. I love the fact that the MLs are all capable of something and are genuinely useful.

The MC's personality is great, he's kind (in a way, depends on how you define, "kind") but isn't a push over and will kill his enemies. I recommend this to you if you just want to read something about kingdom building (and are bored or have low standards) and also want to see characters f*cking occasionally as well. 4/5 I liked it but bland on the taste, it's like a nice snack on a road trip. <<less

If I had read this before reading “Back to the Beginning of Ming to do charity, ” I would probably rate this higher.
This is a good novel. It’s a good read, and it’s an ok length, but it cannot hold a candle to the novel mentioned above. It’s like a milder version of it. The two novels show different levels of experience. I would consider this novel written by someone proficient in writing, and the above novel is much more advanced in their writing knowledge. The plot was fairly thought out, but what wasn’t explained was how the MC had such precise knowledge of making steam engine guns, etc. I know he transmigrated, but there was no mention in the novel that he had those skills before he transmigrated. It was very unclear.

Kingdom building + gong harem, shou MC, emperor mc

Plot wise there are some inconsistencies. Like the fast development of technology without proper understanding or modern equipment, MC's ability to even have knowledge about those things then there's how fast anything is solved when the harem members step in to solve problems and also the king of Shi kingdom running to Qing kingdom everytime.

I usually love anything I read but this time I have to agree with the low reviews, besides that the end is really disappointing, and that each time there was a problem about politics Su Mochi somehow manged to solve everything pretty fast and with no big trouble AT ALL, the novel doesn't make you suffer even a little bit, wich kinda makes it boring, the only suffering I had were the s3x scenes; at least with Gu something dude he was kinda enjoying it, in some parts with the... more>> other ML too but I have so many questions, why does he hates it most of the times? Why doesn't he stops them if he is actually suffering? How can he get tired with one round if he has interc**rses regularly? Does he even like to f*ck? Why can't he sometime switch? Like dude why don't you try to switch sometimes if you hate it so much?Please the gangbang & trheesome scenes were terrible and just sad, also I really hope this is a translation problem but the random explicit/modern words while reading smut completely ruined the mood. <<less

3.5 stars for me. It was an okay read. It was good at first but I feel like the ending is too abrupt. The build up was great but the ending is meh. Glad that the author added extras because I'm not really satisfied on how things were wrapped up.

If you want to read this because of the smut tag, just read other novels cause most smut scenes here are disappointing.

Before reading this I read a few reviews and was a bit worried about whether it would be worth the read. It is.

Now, if you are looking for serious, realistic cause and effects, this is probably not for you. However, if you don’t mind that it’s a bit unrealistic, then I recommend reading this. There are attempts at serious situations, however, the MC is a bit shameless and it loses it’s serious atmosphere.

I give 4.5

I'm actually so sad rn that I've finished this and now I don't get to read about these characters again. Honestly, ignore the bad reviews and just read the good becuase this one is definitely worth the read. I personally haven't read a legit bl harem before and it's so good. I personally don't think it was that explicit as it took a while for things to heat up and half of the scenes just cut away. But when it's there... It's good.

This story actually tackles a basic... more>> mission of how to turn a country around, the MC gets straight onto fixing his small country and the storys main focus is the plot, the harem and stuff are just mechanisms and side plots, so if u thought this was just smut ur wrong, it's like maybe 15-20%, with the rest being lots of politics, don't let this discourage u tho.

This story is surprisingly good at distinguishing the 5 semes, yes 5! It's a bit confusing at first but it's really such an amazing feat how we get all the backstory for everyone, their families and even side plots.

The novel was unexpectedly good. Looking though the reviews I was not expecting anything special, but it’s not true. I’ve finished it in 2 days, that’s how good it is.

Here we have a harem novel. Every ML here has his own place and role. You can even say that without all of them like that we Woolley not have a novel. Their are the fundaments of the plot in a way.

There is a big amount of smut, with different level of details and settings. You will not get bored at... more>> all. High quality meat.

One details I was not very happy with is that sometimes things happen very unexpectedly, without any previous hints. And all characters read like they all were expecting this. It’s good to have unexpected events, but there should be some logical hints before that, or how the characters see something strange or wrong, but here it’s not like this. Here it looks like author just came up with some plot twist at this lace and moment directly.

This gave me a strange feeling all the way, but it’s not that bad. Just bothering a bit, IMHO.

The plot and pacing were good. Some plot twists where so good I’ve read it too fast. I’ve actually finished it in 2 days, because it was a nice and interesting story.

We have a political sub plot, some economic and war stuff.

Also, the MC is not as cruel as you may expect, but he is not a saint. And none of characters are saint here. The MLs are quite cruel also.

In conclusion, the story is enjoyable. I really like it. Recommend. <<less

I came for harem and smut

Then come out satisfied 5 starts with a doubt!

Plotlines was rushed, but that isn't the selling point of the story anyway.

I like how he just teleports to places and use modern tech to ends things in one chapter lol. I can't be bothered to read build ups when you know who's going to win.

Read this for Smut and harem, with some plot. MC likeable shou xxx by all of his harem, He got double teamed, 4 some and 6some. You get the gist

First of all, they're all scumbags. Moving on:

Honestly, the main points regarding the debate concerning Su Mu can be seen on the first extra chapter, 128. Some demerits as well as merit about "Su Mochi" but of course, not all was mentioned.

Not to defend him or anything but I think you will understand that Su Mu (Transmigrator) did not just suddenly became a emotionless killing machine after he transmigrated without reason. It was well explained that the body he transmigrated to, Su Mochi, has been afflicted with a cultivation technique... more>> that needs s*xual interc**rse or bloodshed to not trigger muddle-headed painful bloodthirsty-ness. After that multiple attempts on his life? Su Mu was not a saint, he said so himself that he is not the type to just lie down and accept the knife to his person. He will nip the bud, he will destroy that thorn before it gives him more trouble and worst, death. Soon after, he also realized that his mindset changed to becoming more accepting to taking another's life but what can he do? He bulldozed this budding hesitation by chance, so many things are happening in Qing Kingdom that it's either he get used to it or welp, get swallowed up by his foes' scheme.

Su Mochi (the original), in contrary to Su Mu, was not someone who likes men, he just did not have the choice because of what his teacher did. Look above for clarification. He was cornered by his mother, his adopted mother and pretty much everyone in that palace. The only one who gave him salvation was Qingxue who he became enamored with. But this person also became his downfall when she died after his teacher discovered that Su Mochi became in love with this palace maid. (I don't remember the specifics but I think she died after being discovered by Su Mochi's teacher. I don't know why her sister claimed that Qingxue died to save his life but okay). He became his obsession. A life without her and due to his past experiences made him care no longer about anyone. Since they suffered, he would also make them suffer. Unfair? Were they not treated unfairly too? That's his main argument.

Su Mochi's concubines

Huang Xuan (Doctor) was the first to truly adore Su Mu and in turn, became the first person that Su Mu looked to really trust after being transmigrated. He was just this ordinary son of a merchant who got the attention of Su Mochi. He was tormented indeed but after seeing a change in the 'crown prince', he became really committed to him. He was well-sheltered by his family so this debacle was just a small thing after experiencing gentleness. (Stockholm??? Nah probable not?) He was originally depicted as an innocent puppy but well, after seeing his fellow take up the crown prince's time and attention, he kind of blackened and learned to scheme.

Qin Ye (??? Cannonfodder) He hates Su Mochi and became a lackey character to Yun Feiyu.

Yun Feiyu (Scholar and Strategist). He hates Su Mochi to bone after the crown prince killed his family. He was the last to give in among the male leads. Oyyyy!!! His sister was really a good character : ( ((, such a waste, she should have been given more chance to be more fleshed out.

What the fudge happened to that disowned noble girl who enlisted? I would have thought that she would have played a larger part to make education for girls more accepted in their society after she came back. When I got to the end, I was like ???.

Li Xiu (Spymaster) I kind of forgot why he hates Su Mochi. Anyhow, his life revolved around his mother and younger brother who funnily enough, was not mentioned after his arc.

Ye Qingfeng (Martial Arts Cultivator) after reading the whole thing, the thing that really left impression to me about his is that his qingqong was second to no one. Like it was always being mentioned. He's gone from an aloof and uninterested captive to a clingy and openly flirty male lead.

Su Mu' additional concubine male lead

Gu Yunzhou (Hitman) was very interested in Su Mu's strength, wanting him to become his sparring partner and it deviated to also becoming interested in his body.

I'm a bit particular with the storyline, it felt really smooth in the beginning then all of sudden near the end it suddenly got that mind controller that seemed so tough, I thought it would stretch to a more complicated estrangements then boom! He ded. I'm a bit unreconciled with the end. I really thought that it would have gone for longer length but the author compressed all the battles eh. Not saying it's bad, actually I really liked how the Wu and Shi was not easily subdued by the main character's halo but bruh, time lapsed then it ended.

What happened to the meticulousness of Shi and the might of Wu? *Coughs blood*

It is a unique novel - a harem with one MC and multiple mls.

Though the smut scenes are unnecessary here, either do it long and explicit are simply omit using smut too much..

I liked the MC character. He is both cruel and Mary sueish - a really interesting personality.

Ml's were a bit plain ones. They all are different, but boring nonetheless.

The plot is super easy to follow, though it mostly based on politics. Can't find wrongs here.

If you would like to find a good harem novel, this one is recommended.

the smexy times are really hot 🥵 especially the last few ones. There aren't a lot actually and I even thought it was gonna be fade to black althroughout the story but no! It was only at the beginning and at the middle part of the story its not ftb anymore
