I'll just say that all the tears that I've shed because of this has been worth it after all the misunderstandings.

I generally don't like dog blood, too much misunderstandings, miscommunication, cowardly protags that likes to jump to conclusions, angst, drama, etc. BUT THIS! This is worth my time. I can honestly say that if this was a bit longer like most novels I read, I would have probably lost patience and numb from the heartache and just, simply close the story to never read again. Yes, that's how repulsive I... more>> am to these type of stories, specifically the ones that likes to stretch and repeat. So for me to be here and to actually finish it in one go without break, just means that this story is awesome.

P.S. The su*cide parts always get me and give me chills because I'm still not in the state of mind to be reading things linked to that, so apart from that, I don't have much discomfort about this

MC is a rich ceo and ML is his sugar baby. Theyve been a contractual relationship for three years already but MC wants to take it a step further and start a romantic relationship with him. However ML has a boyfriend and MC respects that. MC never takes a step out of line until he discovers that ML is possibly abused by his boyfriend. In the end, MC learns that the 'boyfriend' was just an excuse and just someone ML admires a lot and models for but holds no romantic feelings towards. MC formally pursues ML and succeeds as both their feelings are reciprocal.

4.5 stars rounded up to 5 because I can't find any faults with this novella. It's short, simple and sweet.

"Please use with insulin" is a very accurate description. It's so sweet that it makes your teeth ache, but not in a bad way. It's not overly sentimental, the CP are just very loving and doting. There's no complexity to it, but it doesn't try to be anything than a relatively straight forward love story with a little bit of angst before a happy ending.

My only slight complaint is that it... more>> would have been nice to learn a bit more about the side characters, they felt at bit too much like props. Such as the artistic ex-boyfriend and the troubled side-couple. But the flow of the story was good, it's well-written and the main characters are adorable without being too much. I love the mood swing, and roller coaster I got from reading this. Perfect. Good plot. The sm*ts are nice, and I have no complaints at all.. Just some recommendation, if you like this, try reading 'Living to Suffer' or 'Outsite the Law', they're my fav novels with same vibe. Different settings of course.... more>> Just same vibe. Thought I wouldn’t like it but still gave it a try and surprisingly liked it a lot. Gives off enough drama for a season of soap operas but the happy ending was worth the journey. Glad MC and ML are together while recognizing their faults and supporting each other regardless, it was a lot more realistic than I expected it would be.

Not my cup of tea. The sweet fluff was a little too much at the beginning for me.. The couple were all over eAchother so much like they had no other life outside which is a little unrealistic given their background- their supposed 'casual' relationship- it got a little suffocating after a while. The novel only picks up after MC left ML coz their contract ended. Then ML discovered MC's dark past being abused by the so-called Bf which was then not clarified- is he the bf or not??? But... more>> then that part felt like it was glazed over too quickly as well. I guess this novel is more abt fluff n smut than plot <<less

Fluffy and soft story. It doesn't have much depth though; thus the 3 stars. But, still good as a light read, since it gives a certain homey feel. And of course, can't forget the smut. It's good without being over the top. I almost considered giving 4 stars, all because of the smutty parts. Overall, the story is ok; unless you're looking for something finer.

Another short surprise. What can I say, the love story was cute even with the nsfw parts it remained that way for me. The side characters seemed like brief interludes to break the fluff and add some drama, and these can be overlooked. There are no deep plots here just your regular love story. But the story is quite good and the translation was wonderful.

Smut with a plot that made my heart ache a bit and look for a gentle, doting, and warm sugar daddy for myself LOL

I like how the story was from a sugar baby x sugar daddy perspective. So far iirc, among the top-rated completed danmeis in NU, there's only 3 novels that had main couples like this (ROMS, Creatures of Habit, this one).

I don't understand how the shou could do what he did for an idol who didn't seem like he even appreciated his admiration one bit, but I'm happy... more>> the shou met the gong and they both got their HE. <<less

A great short novel, I loved it. A tad melodramatic at times but the drama is short, coherent and consistent with their character. For example, the lack of communication and misunderstandings between the 2 does not feel like a plot-point convenience to create drama but stems from the 2 protags' own character, circumstances and mindset.

At the beginning it is confusing the different types of care, love and attention but as you continue reading it is good.

The ML has just right his priorities although a bit stoic as he sometimes cannot communicate his intentions well and comes off a bit arrogant and fierce.

The MC on the other hand comes off as obedient and soft but has another side that is not so fluffy but still is lovable, sweet and human.

Good Job for the translator cause the translation has come off so smooth♥♥♥.

hehe.. I read the review above but I have something different to add.... " I came here for the smut but the plot satisfied me"

I am not into sugar baby and substitution (this novel does not have substitution) because of a novel a read ages ago... I dragged this alot before reading but it turned out to be the novel I was looking for. A simple fluff with smut plot without complex feelings... it was as said short and sweet.

But I do have to say... Yan Zhen is probably my... more>> favorite ML. I wont say about him and let you find out urself <<less
