like when ML took the MC to the movies and the MC only realized that it was a date when he got home

I advise those who haven't read the book, don't read this, seriously, you might lose some of the fun while reading.

I was very satisfied with how it was done and I think that was the best way.

When that bet appeared, I was sure that the ML was protected and that it was all his performance, I was very angry, because I didn't want everything to end this easy. But when I found out that ML really faced the situation head on and that even though he had prepared certain things in advance, it was not guaranteed that everything would go well for him or that there would be no sequel, it was really a gamble and he took the risk, I thought it was soooo good, I thought it was the best way for the whole past to be resolved and for the two of them to be together.

The author was amazing to have thought of it.

MC claimed to have amnesia when he transmigrated. His personality was much different than the original body's owner. So ML, Lu Yunyang (a psychologist) was asked by MC's boss to take a look at MC.

MC had considered going back to his old life but he was wary about how he died. He decided to stay on with the police to uncover the truth and kill the person who assassinated him. Turns out the person who put a hit on him was Hermes, MC's next potential target.

Hermes is the leader of an underground intelligence organization. He had MC killed to send a warning to others that he was not someone to mess with.

Hermes true identity turned out to be ML. When ML discovered that he had killed MC's "most important person" and that MC wanted revenge, he arranged for MC to shoot him. ML almost died but survived and vowed to MC that he would spend the rest of his life serving MC. So they did have their happy ending.

Psychologist

WJH is given to the Duke who insists on having him from a guy who already keeps / monitors WJH. Duke regards WJH as used goods but still “falls” for him and r*pes him. Author tries to frame it as it isn’t r*pe but WJH made it clear he did NOT want to sleep with him, both verbally and physically but because he’s helpless right now, he stops saying anything. Later when he gets away from the situation he had put himself in, Duke turns up at WJH’s house says he will take him whether his dad agrees or not and acts like he and WJH are harmonious. It’s seriously f*cked up and he f*cks WJH whenever he asks questions and he dresses him up like a doll, giving him no choice. Also earlier a character points out that the Duke is more into WJH than WJH is into the Duke and it’s clear that he’s absolutely correct. WJH doesn’t love the Duke, he doesn’t care about him but he’s been in a sustained relationship with him because he literally has no choice and because he has a hero complex that led him into being someone’s plaything in the first place. The messed up thing is, that the first person he was played with, is clearly the person WJH still has feelings with but for some reason the author chose to keep the racist rapist Duke as partner instead of his actual first love Ou Chen, who btw is also a ducking rapist.

So to reiterate, WJH is in a relationship he realistically can’t ever leave. This is with his second, mildly racist rapist who he has no feelings of love for and who is just as bad if not worse than his first rapist / love, as he is an arms dealer and does shady sh*t in the underworld across the world. I seriously can’t believe at the audacity of the author trying to show this as a happy or romantic relationship, when it’s terribly sad and bleak.

This dude used his influence to get an 18 yr old into a relationship, who would not have a choice to say no because big bro Lu has all the power to ruin him and his career but more than that, he will never stop trying to have him. His relationship with Yan Qing even years later is him semi-treating Yan Qing like a helpless pet and not a partner and again he won’t ever be letting him leave, so Yan Qing resigned himself to the relationship.

ML spends the whole novel using his psychology degree to his duke advantage & picking at the vulnerable parts of MC to become a trusted person to him. A red flag already but you kind of let it go because MC needs a friend at the time and it seems to help him out a bit to settle into his new body. But when ML finds out MC is after his persona who leads a shady organisation, he immediately brings his family into it and they all play MC like a fool. Then to placate MC’s rightful need to avenge himself, he makes a whole scenario where he will get shot by MC (who atp has feelings for ML), but not die due to his different physiology & because he has full rescue set up for himself. This is his way of once again manipulating MC, as he knew MC would not want to kill him but would also leave him because he couldn’t get his vengeance done. It’s so scummy and manipulative, especially when we know it’s him who was the reason for MC dying. Author treats this all as a joke, there is no proper time for MC to distance himself from ML and sort himself out, there is also no proper penance from ML. Further on, once MC knows it was MC’s own death and not that of a former lover that he was trying to avenge, ML proceeds to sleep with MC and not actually take time to reflect on the loss MC directly suffered at his hands. It’s quite disconcerting and frankly gives you emotional whiplash on behalf of the MC, who is forced by the author to one setting only, which will acquiesce with anything the ML wants.

get back with the ML as soon as possible. If it were me I still don't know whether I would have disappeared completely or at least tried to.

Honestly, the deception of the ML wasn't so simple, and everything was calculated by him so yeah I still like that they didnt get back together immediately, and I would have made the ML work a little bit harder.

• I really think the MC should have disappeared for a couple of years or a few more months at least after he had revealed the truth to the ML at the hospital
• Then have the ML find him, as he was the top dog of an international intelligent agency
• Again say all these mushy things, and return to the life they had previously.
• It would have been easy for the boss to arrange for a cover and reinstate him.

to be very honest... I dont think the author made LYY suffer enough for 'killing' HX/Ethan/GJ. like.... he really forgave LYY way too easily...

although I have to agree that tbh it wasn't really LYY that killed him and technically he's not dead yet... but still :// I really did hope that LYY suffered more (the author didnt really write that LYY felt guilt or anything which kinda did make me a little annoyed). but wellll he does treat GJ really well and pampers him alot. plus I do agree that being a police is a good change for GJ and im glad that he can now enjoy life more instead of being part of the group and living a bland life trying to assassinate people. it is basically like a second chance.

also... I do agree that after some time, GJ needed to let the things in the past be in the past. afterall hes alive and has a brand new chance in living a normal life. that itself didnt and wont come easily so instead of dwelling in the past its better to look forward and enjoy his new life.

Seth and WJH! tbh theyre kinda cute. and the back story of the two of them is kinda woohoo! like I kinda didnt expect it but then with them being like that and having such an impressive background, I cant possibly expect them to meet and date normally sooo... im just glad that WJH found his happiness and future in Seth :) afterall I kinda liked WJH's character alot!

what I actually didn't like was the fact that actually HX didn't really intend to find out anything about life of the original owner of his body. I mean, sure, maybe he didn't want to but he didn't have any family or other friends??

ALSO, I don't know whether I'm too s*upid or I've missed something but in the end, has Yan Qing's case was explained?? What I mean is, who was the mu*derer of Zhao Qi and Zhang Xin?
