I feel that the mother is the villain here. I find her truly despicable. At first I somewhat understand that what she did is for the better of her son, but as the story goes on her personality is really f*ck up. She is really selfish from the time she is pregnant with Ml, she is obsessed with the "alpha" status that she did something to change her gender that results ML having a pheromone disorder. I mean there are alternative ways to save her son's life without resorting to selfish behaviour. Like removing his glands but she knowingly chose the selfish route. She chose to sacrifice and hurt other people treating them like animals as Dr. Mu their family doctor said. And satisfyingly her actions comes with a heavy consequence.
