7/10 for sure it's TRIGGERING !! The ending is a little unsatisfactory. I dont know about the rest but I rather her end up with Lu Zheng, JYN, and her relationship is so toxic and tiring, I dont think I can live with someone knowing all those things that happen. Im sorry but his action is a big no for me but FL is also annoying with her vengeful act

The story is mostly about business and like 15% romantic. The summary is wrong. She didn't give away stock to her husband. She had no money. She bought the stock that was selling but then stock when down. She didn't had money to buy it. Her dad rival bought the stock again. Half the ch45 went down hill. The ML find who her husband real is. ML was never in love the another MC. It just other MC was so in love with her. There a lot of twist like... more>> melodramatic into this story. You be shock. Why her family have rival and what happened to her sister. Who the ML is and later in ch you find who the MC really from... It had happy ending. <<less

Finally, it's over. I don't know how many times I have an urge to flip the table while reading this story. Maybe I'm really not suitable for angst novel because it's not healthy for my delicate heart.

The story is actually quite interesting if you love this type of novel. There are so many misunderstandings, dramas, schemes, betrayals, even mu*der (although briefly) between the characters. It's really like riding a roller coaster, one time you feel happy but next time you fall into a despair.

First of all, I hate MC so much. For me, she's a true antagonist in this story. I don't know why she clinged so much to Xu company. She never felt happy there and she's always in her sister's shadow. I personally happy to watch Xu company burns to ash and hope that finally she will move on with her life and start anew, this time with something she loves to do. But no, she decided to take revenge till the end and use all the people near her for her advantage (she always despised her sister for this but she actually does the same.

And near the end, it's revealed that she's actually not her father's true daughter. What a joke. But she still doesn't stop there and continue to take her revenge. What I hate the most is her using 2nd ML's love for her advantage. He also used ML in the past to acquire her grandfather's share through the marriage. For me, she doesn't deserve both ML and 2nd ML. I really don't know what they see in her.

About ML, at first I hate him too but it turns into pity when I learn that he's actually being manipulated by Jiang Shu Jin. After learning about JSJ mu*dered his father in the past, ML secretly plots against JSJ behind his back and helps MC in the shadow. MC actually has a clue that ML maybe helped her secretly but she doesn't bother to investigate futher and chooses to ignore that fact.

And 2nd ML, poor him. He really deserves happiness more than MC and ML too.

For the ending, for me, it's suck.

The author seems a bit rushed to finish this novel. There is no tearful reunion or heart to heart talk between MC and ML. Instead, we're fast forwarded to 6 months later when they already reconcile and expect a baby. Yes, you could say it's a happy ending but it could be better.

I just don't understand why all of these characters are giant masochists... Like FL sacrifices so much for her "family legacy" which I don't understand at all since she hates her father, hates her sister and her surname isn't even Xu. If her mother wants it so badly, then she should work for it herself, why is she raising her daughter to be so hateful?

FL never ever says that her work is satisfying to her. She doesn't seem remotely able to handle the business, so why is she struggling so... more>> much for something that's not worth it? Sidenote, I think it's pretty funny that her shoe business in the US also busted, is it too much to give us a FL that can actually hold up a business without basically selling herself??

The FL is pretty hypocritical for looking down on her sister for stringing along ZC, but then turning around and doing the same. exact. thing. to Lu Zheng. Even if he knows it's happening and is okay with it, that doesn't mean she should be! Especially before she found about ML's betrayal, she was still meeting Lu Chen and hanging on his arm to "conduct business" AND she was already married at that point. FL's values and priorities are completely screwed up, and she has very little backbone.

I genuinely feel bad for almost all the significant male characters in this story. Zhou Chen and Lu Zheng are just straight up pitiful, especially since they fall for two totally unworthy women. Jiang Yu Nan, I feel conflicted about because there is some genuine misunderstanding there and he was really s*upid with that whole "I want you to hate me" thing, but before that he was genuinely trying to love her and was ready to give up his revenge for her.

The premise of the story was really interesting, and I actually read all of it in one sitting even though I was majorly frustrated most of the time with the characters. The author is pretty good at twisting the knife, but unfortunately she does it at the expense of her characters' brains. The twist

but I have to admit that I would have loved a story where FL was successful at the company based on her own merit and ML did the whole corporate espionage thing and took her family company out from under her (leaving some wiggle room for them to fall in love, ofc). As it is, I'm annoyed since a lot of this could've been cleared up if they just said a few extra words. <<less
