Girl A tries to stab and kill MC, but it gets glossed over by everyone. Girl A gives Girl B aphrodisiacs to drug ml, tries to mu*der MC, and they vote to exile but they all feel bad about kicking them out.

I get that going from order to chaos makes it difficult to be harsh, but I sure as hell wouldn't feel safe knowing there are people who want to mu*der me in the vicinity. And the fact they feel bad is because they're "weak women". When it's a dude, there's no mercy. It makes my head hurt trying to understand the logic. Ffs they are "weak women" who attempted to mu*der the only doctor in the team.

I agree with what the other reviewers said. Getting into the book is a real struggle, and I'm someone who tries to stick with things. I tried my best by reading up to chapter 256, however I shamelessly gave up.

There are a few reasons for this, namely:

  • the constantly changing side characters. While I get that it's the apocalypse and people die but it's hard to keep remembering who's who. I stopped bothering and just referenced them as friend 1, friend 2, etc.
  • the female lead isn't very likable. I find the fl's character to be a bit contradictory. She can be incredibly immature and childish and thereafter becomes passive aggressive, just when you've completely written her off, she does something that is considered to be quite mature and thereafter you're back to square 1. Honestly, I have no idea why the male lead likes her.

    • the female lead makes bad decisions which leads to people dying unnecessarily. I can't understand her rational thinking behind some of the silly decisions made. I honestly cannot understand why the male lead would even agree with those decisions

  • Quite a few chapters are filler content. It feels like 35% of the book is written to make the word count target.
  • The silly childish female antagonists- it becomes repetitive and silly with it happening over and over again
  • the male lead has no character - he comes across as flat and a yes man. Whatever he FL wants, he blindly agrees. He also gives in to her childish behavior.
The story has more to it than just the apocalypse which is great. I really think it has the foundation to be better alas, it becomes repetitive and tiring.

I agree with a lot of the other reviews. I want to get into this, but I can’t, especially with all the female villains that seems to want to be with the ML, is obviously evil, but they get glossed over or continue to live for multiple of chapters.

I stopped reading, but I sort of checked out a few future chapters through MTL and there’s at least four female villains who are brainless, obvious evil, and obsessed with the ML.

I wished the ML was more ruthless with these females. He... more>> essentially just pushed them aside and don’t really deal with them. <<less

C103. This novel is worth reading but I have no idea why I just can't get into it. Maybe it's because the characters are a little lacking? I mean, it's true but they're actually not bad. It's just hard to get time with them cause one trouble happens after another. It could also be that. I mean, it's a bit overwhelming how fast the progress of the novel is. It barely gives you any time to get to know the characters and become interested in them. Anyway, whatever the cause... more>> is, I decided to drop it here and come back another time.

Definitely will reread for the unique apocalypse/survival perspective. Here, the FL and ML are powerful like most novels using the same theme. However, they're still struggling with disasters like everyone else. There's no easy path given to them. Just a slightly better road to survival. It's definitely a bit anxiety-inducing, but the tension is rare to see in Chinese BG novels, and that alone is enough to make me interested in coming back for a reread.

SUMMARY — The FL, Su Ling, dies on the first day of the apocalypse at the hands of her cheater fiancé and stepsister. She's given a second chance, and this time, she pays attention to the system in her mind (which she ignored previously) telling her what to do. This system gives her the power of "Reinforcement", all dead things can be maxed out at her hands. Though successful reinforcement depends on her level.

Anyway, with this ability, she manages to survive past her previous lifespan and meet a pair of uncle (the ML, Sheng Hongye) and nephew on the road. The three walk together from then on, meeting teammates as well as losing them. The FL is a very wary person and doesn't really pay attention to her abilities much. At least, until people start having supernatural abilities of their own. Even so, as mentioned earlier, the road for supremacy is faaar away. They have to struggle through various natural disasters while fight against human enemies popping out from every corner. <<less

This is my first time leaving a review because I feel like I had to – because of its misleading title.

Normally I'd just ignore novels that I dislike or contain themes I dislike (e.g. lack of communication, too much push and pull between the leads, etc... just like in this novel) and pretend I never read them, BUT, this novel really frustrated me due to its misleading title.

Now, I wanted to write "completed?" for current progress since I read the MTL version and as some of you might know, these websites sometimes have unreliable chapter lists. As per that website, it ended at the crew going to some island or sth like that (it's been a while since I read it so my memory is a bit blurry, sorry). I'd be grateful if someone would correct me if I'm wrong. I hope I'm wrong honestly.

Imo, having themes I dislike is absolutely fine because I'm not the only reader, but having misleading title in a bad way, like saying its plant-based milk when it's actually whole milk, is just wrong. Humorously misleading title is also fine, but this isn't.

I translated the original title and it says "Rebirth in the end times to build infrastructure" so the translator isn't wrong as well. If the website that I read from didn't make mistake in its table contents, then I'm telling you that there's LITTLE TO NO infrastructure. The most I remember was FL reinforcing their temporary shelter's walls... literally that's it. I was expecting to see further at the end when they went to the island. I was expecting FL to FINALLY make some real city-building stuff there, but no, it kinda just ends.

All I remembered from this novel were bunch of dramas between the leads as well as side characters. It was for sure more about interpersonal and psychological drama than building infrastructure whatsoever. I was super bumped since I came for the infrastructure part and it literally says so in the title.

I specifically wrote this review for those who came for the city-building part like me so they won't have to waste time. Otherwise, go for it if you don't mind this and like interpersonal dramas.

I read the reviews and initially thought it's ok to try read this novel. And I was wrong. Terribly wrong. I forced myself to read MTL because I want to prove that I'm not that "wrong" but again. Another wrong decision.

fellow reader, what the others write in their review was correct. 100000000000% correct. This one is not worth it. Too much loophole, too much contradiction, too much bullshit.

the ML character setting supposed to be OP with mysterious supernatural ability like "sucking" other ability to be his. But the author just... more>> can't make him too omnipotent so yeah, a lot of companion still dead. I beg author to not naming nor build emotional plot for Cannon fodder and passerby if you want to abandoned them later. And this card was used too many times. I'm f*cked up.

the FL. Another failure. She is supposedly cold beauty, flirting all day long but maintain arm length with ML. For what? It's not slow romance plot setting. It's s*upid. All flirt and ambiguity. Feeling jealous but act all hight and might whenever her BFF told her ML like her. So hypocritical

not to mention bunch of female cannon fodder - antagonist. Can you not finish them early? Why must you tolerate them again and again and again? Such a s*upid pair of protagonist really not worth even 1 star. Brain dead <<less
