Another good short story. I'm not usually into break-up get back together stories cause in life it rarely works but in this case the break up was all about extenuating circumstances.

This is a character driven story so whether you like the MC and ML will make or break the story for you. It definitely has a touch of angst to it but there is a lot of sweetness too.

This is a small story. There are no big events except in flashbacks but it shows how little events can evoke big emotions. You are really happy to see this couple get together with a fresh chance, free of the past at the end.

Same author as Mist, so I was baited by the potential writing.

I’m not a fan of angst but I will persevere to get my HE even if it kills me in the end. It’s quite a novel story, reminding me that in some instances only time is the right solution. Not every relationship can rely on pure perseverance & communication. Sometimes, it’s time apart & independent maturing that’s needed. Finished and it wasn't hard to MTL but I'll be re-reading it again with the official translations! I thoroughly enjoyed the short, sweet ride. My new guilty pleasure is definitely lovers reunited haha! The MC and ML are both very likeable and glad they were able to get their happy ending.

It’s really good, the suspense and some angst here and there made me feel like I’m hanging at the edge.

This is about ex-lovers reuniting and working their way to getting back together by resolving their past issues.

The MC dealing with so much guilt made me relate to him in a way that I couldn’t relate to any other characters. was looking for something with a mix of fluff & angst and was pleasantly surprised when I found it.

i like the MC and ML a lot! Their reactions are all reasonable and the PINNING from both sides. It's quite short w some flashbacks. A simple, easy read. It's much more slice of life so if you're looking for something more fast paced and intense I would like elsewhere.

This is a very beautiful story and I love how Shu Jin changed and grew during those years. Not to mention, ML was very good and relatable, his emotions were very understandable.

A mild short melodrama that left a little warmth in my soul. It's an easy read but the writting is well with good translation so I recommend you to give it a try.

Yes, there's a conflict that caused them to broke up (not a spoiler since the story started with them already separated) and of course prober discussion resolved the situation. Also, since this is a short novel, there weren't chances for the author to consistantly bring out major conflicts (which is usually when I start to think that "this will only occurs in stories").

Have got to be one of the best short stories I have ever read and the author writes mist too so no surprise there tbh. I love the character development that we got to see from the MC and at the same time the originality of the ML and him staying true to it. One review mentioned them disliking the ML but tbh I couldn't disagree more. Would love to see more of the MC's mother as she seems to only be mentioned a couple of times. Other than that, a great read with sufficient angst and a happy ending.

What happens when you run into your ex again five years after a bad breakup? This one gives you flashbacks to find out how they met, started dating, etc. I also like that the ML has a blind eye. It plays a big part in the story. From the author of Mist.

MC, Shu Jin, and ML, Sheng Xinghe, are unexpectedly meet after breaking up 5 years ago. MC is now 24 years old and ML is about 26 years old.

MC's dad had sponsored ML since he was five or six years old. ML's right eye was blinded when he was a child. When ML was 16, his grandpa died so he went to live with MC.

At the beginning, it was thought that another child had blinded ML's eye. However, when MC's dad found out about their romantic relationship, he revealed that MC was the real culprit. MC felt guilt and broke up with ML. The story begins at their reunion 5 years later, both are still deeply in love with the other and have not had any relationships since.

MC learns to let go of his guilt and allow himself to be happy. The story has a happy ending.
