The story of how a beautiful fragile shou, who initially thought that he was the one forcing the other person into a one-sided love affair, but somehow he ended up being continuously forced into tears by that certain someone. (And he still thought it was his fault.)

In his hot-blooded youth, Su Yuan fell for Ning Jun the moment he first laid eyes on him. With his then-influential family background, Ning Jun became his target and he even resorted to underhand tactics to extort and force him.

Fast forward to a couple of years later, and Su Yuan was no longer the respected and feared only-child of the Su Family. However, the reluctant target of his forced passions of the past, Ning Jun, was now an extremely popular person…

Su Yuan felt that he owed Ning Jun a lot, and that’s why his guilt-filled self could not deny Ning Jun anything, and there was nothing Ning Jun asked of him that he did not do.

Not a big fan of this tbh, clear power difference between the two.

Although the author wrote that the ML thought he was the "underdog" in the relationship because of the MC's wealth and background, it was obvious that the MC was the one who submitted to everything the ML wanted; ML was clearly in control of everything.

Not to mention, very unrealistic that the ML didn't intentionally emotionally ab*se the MC with his act.

Story is told from the MC's view, which may have been biased, but honestly... sounded like the ML... more>> never took initiative for a single thing in their relationship and the MC was left alone to upkeep and care about his partner.

In the end, the ML didn't need to grovel at all, MC gave him whatever he wanted with no struggle and no resentment for his past suffering. Too much like a doormat.

If MC was a wealthy woman and ML was a poor man supposedly 'blackmailed' to be with her and treated her like that, I would tell MC to drop him like a hot potato because he's obviously trying to use her or on a power trip to feel good about being chased by a rich girl.

It's actually quite sad that the Shou put up with Gong indifference and blame himself for all things that happened between them.

In the past and even the their present time, he always felt that he's in the wrong ?

Gong had so much pride that he won't take a chance to reach out to Shou.

This supposed to be a light-hearted reading but my heart wrenched when I thought how masochistic Shou must be, to let himself being a tormented bad guy, just to get a tiny affection from Gong.

I love it. But the ending was too abrupt of them just having s*x then they "got married".... I think releasing another 1 chapter could suffice. :)

The smut is okay but I feel it lacked. Anygays, I enjoyed the 10 chapters. :))

This is so cute - I love the characters and romance. However, there's very little backstory (why is su now down on their luck?), which is understandable given the length of the story. I would have loved to read a longer story with all the holes filled in though!

This so sweet!!!!!!! How could im late to find this Jewel?! My eyes gone blind!

The story is simple, but, all of this full of sweet, there is a misunderstanding to ML and MC, but, its turn to be sweet and fluffy, the 18+ also hot? but not in bad way,... ML only have MC, he never with someone else, also MC too,.. the ending also good, I cant move on from this story, its such a good short story, maybe the best short story that I read so far till... more>> now... I really rocomendid this to someone who looking for plots, fluffy, sweet, and some small misunderstanding, but, no drama,..

Anyway the translator also doing a great job, to translate, its was clean, and amazing ofc!.. no regret to read this one. <<less

An okay short story. Partly not too good. It was cringey. You can really tell how old the author is on how they wrote their characters or basically the whole story. I admit when I was in my teens I do like reading something like this but now, it becomes cringe.

Hmm, in all honesty it wasnt that poorly written. No plot wholes, no excessive amounts of useless dog drama, and a satisfactory ending. My only complaint is that this story would be gold if it was longer, even if it was only 20-70 chapters long the story would feel better fleshed out. Because it was too short to really get depth for this narrative, im giving it one less star. It felt kinda abrupt the ending and there was a lot of space for it to be expounded on. Plus... more>> the angst would be so much more satisfying to really twist the knife into our hearts. Just a heads up, if you don't like cold MLs/kinda mean MLs with some drama I don't recommend you reading this story. Also the translator did a good job, but the commentary in the middle of the chapters was a wee bit distracting. <<less

Both leads' POV was shown in about 2-3 chps each, regarding their past but only half? Or one fourth of a chapter was given on how they talked about it. Bruh, the pang in my heart built up like a tower because of the misunderstandings but it feels like it was just shoved away because of how it was resolved. It still hurts ugh.

You know, I need to say it:

If there's an Actual 3rd party in their relationship who actually try to break their relationship in the past when they still had that misunderstanding, one of them would be dead now. Either from Miserable meet Accident or Miserable to su*cide. That's what ALWAYS HAPPEN in QUICK TRANSMIGRATION Novel where the Chosen One have to get Revenge for them. LMAO

I LOVE their s*x Life so much! I mean, I do Love their Love toward each other. But their s*x wild life is just so 👌👌👌👌👌 just sadly it wasn't described in detail.

Yes, sadly the Smut wasn't so Smutty. It WAS SMUT! But compared to many other Smut Novel, this one is rather light.

I actually do feel heartache from the Misunderstanding. But it was light because it was Short Novel, and the Author didn't go deep in the Emotional plot. Thank god.

Anyway, yes, I Enjoyed and Love this Novel Sooo Much!!!

From my personal preference I like such novels the least.

This is one of the novel where it is completely based on misunderstandings and no communication. So if you have no problem with it then read it, it's good.

3/5 rating because 1. I personally don't prefer such 'No Communication between the couple' novels; 2. I don't like the ML

... more>> So if you don't mind above description then you can read because it's good. The narration, plot, writing and translation is good.

Thank you author for not stretching it unnecessarily. But it would have been really really good if there was more part after they cleared their misunderstandings and communication issues.

I hate the ML. Such a jerk. He really played with the MC. Dude there is no thing such as telepathy. This type of ice cold personality is too much for me, you don't wanna say a single word yet expect him to understand? He did all he could you jerk. He (ML) is the kind of person who just wants his partner's attention without giving anything in return (emotionally). Don't expect such thing called as 'being understanding' from the ML. I agree with MC's friends' evaluation of him that He really liked keeping the MC on tenterhooks.

And Oh Boy! I thought I might change my views on him when a chapter from ML's POV came, But boy I was wrong because POV added one more reason for me to not like him which is that he sticked to his friend's opinion the whole time instead of believing the MC even after so much time and efforts of the MC

He doesn't understand or trust the MC at all; you rather believe your so called friend's jealous filled advice instead of the guy who is sincerely courting you since forever.

He really doesn't deserve the MC.

I really really like him. But why does he had to feel so inferior. He was the only one who always gave in in their relationship. Always submitted in front of the ML.

Not toxic or unhealthy

But I won't say that it is completely healthy because of how they didn't communicate at all where one side always put his sincere efforts and the other side just doubted him always.

s*x scenes are omitted other than the dirty talk. I found the dirty talk too humiliating even though I like the novels with smex scenes. (ML's kink) <<less

This was really cute! Although, it wasn't what I expected from a title called "After being extorted", only at the end did I realize that the "extorted" part was referring to the MC's and ML's past relationship that was riddled with misunderstandings, but it all worked out at the end. I totally thought this would be bd*m or whatever, but it's not. The ML is really domineering in bed though, so look forward to that (・∀・)

I couldn't help but cheer for the MC throughout the whole novel. The smut... more>> is also so hott~~ very exciting. It's a fast read and the translations are incredibly clean. So props to the translation team!! You won't regret reading this (≧▽≦) <<less

lol, the name of this novel is probably a big turn off for many, but this story is actually pretty sweet and full of fluff with smexy times.

short, sweet, misunderstanding, HE~ one of my favorites to read. Although I may not like long-term heartwrenching misunderstandings, this short but two-sided, full of sweetness is truly so unregrettably good.

i do recommend this for those with time on their hands, don't miss it ba~ (❁´◡`❁)

A short simple story. There is no deeper story that need to be dig out.

HE. Sometimes it good to see they manage to fix it and have a second chance. In reality it doesn't happen often.
