The story of the son from the Prequel CP in Short Story of Shaowang. I'm currently stacking chapters but I'm pretty sure this is going to be awesome since the author really wrote a good one last time. It also helps that the translator is super awesome.

Hmm so this is the sequel to 'The Short Story of ShaoWang', I'm assuming the MC is the child of the couple from to prequel. MC is the alpha this time, he's a case of straight male cancer, but looks might he might recover. The ML is the prickly, violent on the outside but soft and pure inside type. I am detecting some complicated family situation and perhaps a tragic backstory.

It's a lot like the last one, but the dynamics are different. This time MC is the alpha (its mostly... more>> his POV) but he's kinda douchey... he's super HOT and is pretending to be LAME to find an omega that will like him for him, , , , but he doesn't realize he's being a hypocrite. The ML is a beta (or omega pretending to be beta?) that looks like an omega, but is antisocial and violent (but only when touched ***tragic backstory hmmm?), , but thats not rly his personality. He is similar to the prequel MC in a way.

So looks good so far, 4 stars b/c it didn't Wow me and don't know how it will turn out from here.

This novel is more emotional than its prequel, and there is less smut, but the characters are more well rounded. I wish there was more to the story, but it seems that the extras ended with their university days. Too bad, I was really looking forward to their basketball team of children. <<less

This is a very well written story, stunning plot with lots of comedy here and there. A definite good read.

However, I really must warn you of the angst within the story. It was personally very heart wrenching for me to read and I did end up heavily impacted but really appreciated the way the author weaved everything all together. To some it may have been alright, but to a fluff reader like me... the novel needs to be read with caution.

So, if you are easily triggered, I recommend preparing some tissues and preferably some emotional support. Don't let this discourage you from reading this novel though, its excellent work.

For a comparison, this wasn't as disturbing as ErHa but quite sad...

I basically registered for this. This series provides the joys of consent that we all need to see.

It's quite different from other ABOs mostly because they pass dub-con as something romantic and that's absolutely not right. As of now it has been giving me butterflies, the good kind❤️❤️❤️❤️.

I probably like this more rn than the first book because the first book was slow burn and cute but the kind of story where if you fixed one thing everything would fall into place. as it is right now in the translations we are just uncovering some new details. the best way to describe it would be if the first book was all internal influences on their relationship, as in choices the pair made themselves influenced the plot of the story, the... more>> second book would external influences, with the drama between the two leads being minimal and the extra characters playing a bigger role on the plot than before.

This novel’s pretty good! As expected from modern novel + student main characters. All of them are f*cking good.

The novel has their own ups and down, some so-called-angsty scene aren’t that hurtful and it’ll completely disappear after like two seconds. Completely replaced with Jiang Yao annoying tf out of Yin Che.

I doubt Yin Che’s annoyed though, he’s a tsundere lmaoo he’s like his DiDi.. They are such a tsun.

But here’s the case:

I read the novel through the epub file, which is probably stolen by asianovel, don’t know if the translators’ aware.

The transation’s good and nothing wrong with it, the translators are very informative and interactive but some of the original chapters aren’t included? I mean just as I say it’s probably the epub file messing the sh*t outta me.

I mtl’d (wtf is this lmao don’t mind it, I don’t know what to say) this novel through google translate. Of course I found the raws and the thing is,

Like that school trip whatever the f*ck is that called scene, the only thing i’d read about it is that scene of Yin Ze and his subordinates or classmates looking at Yin Che next bus then they were all shock as Yin Che didn’t even mind when Jiang Yao putted his head to his shoulders. Then the next chapter mentioned like the school trip quickly ended or some sort of that meanwhile in the raws, the school trip id actually detailed..

There’s also that scene that I didn’t quite understand, the previous chapter’s like they have no problem/s then the next chapter is (SPOILER!! I DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE THE SPOILER TOOL) Yin Che woke up from that Doctor’s office or clinic or hospital room, asked why is he there and the doctor said he got there because Jiang Yao brought him there. I was confused as the previous and the current (next) chapter doesn’t make sense but I thought it’s the author rushing the novel’s timeline as maybe the author wanted it to quickly finish.

Please to those who have read the translation through the site and not the (epub) file, don’t mock me if I am truly speaking nonsense as I don’t know whether there’s something wrong with the translation or is it the file.

But kudos to the translators! I like learning Chinese Slangs and I love how the translators put the meanings of slangs in the end of the chapter (which is pretty normal for some novels out there but like i’m AMUSEDDDDDDD, IT’S BEEN A LONG HECK WHILE). Also there’s no problem/s with the spellings and grammar, FINALLY I CAN READ A PERFECT TRANSLATED NOVEL AFTER ALL THOSE MTL NOVELS BUT..

The ML is the son of the couple from the prequel. MC kinda reminds me of MC from the prequel. The story is more serious and angsty. I like how MC slowy opening up to other people. It's nice how ML is always there for MC.

The side characters are nice. I like that author didn't just use them for MC and ML story. Each one of them have their distinct personality.

Honestly when I encountered this novel at first.. The description was really interesting, well, for me it was since Im into this kind of novels. But like I really couldnt understand sometimes and like I just wanted to drop it.. But now I regret even thinking about dropping it because its really funny and cute. I really recommend this novel for those who like omegaverse🤗

It's funny, interesting and kinda cute. I can't really tell who of the mains is the MC and who's the ML, so let's just consider the one where the pov is starting from the MC. He's an alpha who just transferred schools and at first glance, is a bit of a shallow douche, but also unexpectedly friendly and... more>> considerate. The other is an antisocial beta "tyrant" known for snapping, but he's awkwardly sincere and just like the former, unexpectedly friendly and considerate. They both kinda seem like adorable little brats lololol

That said, I'd definitely recommend this. It's entertaining and I'm pretty sure there'll be lots of fun and character growth~ <<less

It was an okay read. Didn't like it as much as the other reviewers here. I just didn't like the unequal situation between the two. The shou has too much emotional baggage and I didn't like how the gong was kinda like his salvation. Also, shou falls in love first which I really didn't like. Story has lots of flaws but an okay read. Just not my cup of tea. I think I'm too jaded for these type of story lol

I didn't read the prequel to this novel, but enjoyed reading this nonetheless. In fact, this novel does well as a stand-alone work already. The story has a lot of elements that speak for themselves, interesting characters, humor and enough drama for you to not get bored, a bit of angst and an engaging relationship progress between two very different individuals.

The plot itself might be nothing new, but it does well in keeping the reader engaged and interested. I, for one, have a hard time reading a novel from beginning... more>> to end without having to take a break in the middle to start another novel in between (might have ADHD for all I know), but I did not have this problem with this novel.

This novel will have you yearning for your youthful and innocent high school days (even when your highschool days s**ked) while also envying the main CP for their sweet and at time heart wrenching love. <<less

I actually disliked MC a bit when reading the story. He came off as inconsiderate and winded, I expected a lot of dog-blood although this started off with a light and humorous atmosphere.

However, that was overturned by the few suffocating chapters. Neither of them was right, but it dissipated the uncomfortable feeling that the relationship was too unbalanced in terms of the 'liking' index. I loved both their outlooks in some things.

An issue here is how the author just skimmed over the surface of some topics. The characters were insightful... more>> in terms of their own thoughts but those topics were strangled in the cradle before being pondered over. It's like they were mentioned only to be abruptly cut off because they were viewed as minor details.

Another issue for me is tbe illogical way of handling problems by the characters at some scenes. Obviously, they could've resolved the problems in a much more logical and efficient way, why put too much complications? To further highlight the feelings between the protagonists? It just disrupts the reader's mood. For example, seeing how the person you like is being slandered in front of you after defending you, wouldn't a normal person normally defend them and clear it up? Isn't it a rational thing to do? If some one slandered you, even if you did wrong first, you've already apologized and yet they escalated it and even say that you hit them, shouldn't you speak up and clear it up?

The coherence and mind sets of some characters were already good, why make it inconsistent just to support the romance? Isn't it just collapsing their characterization? Why bother set them up with a certain persona in the first place if it just crumbles into nothing in order for it to be foil to the romance and 'plot development' aspects? <<less

Reading this because it is the sequel of ShaoWang. This one is more serious and many angst. There were many variables going around of our ML and MC. It's good that ML start chasing @36 chap. MC also had his reasons why he hesitate to accept someone. Although I like meng fluff story, I can't reject stories like this. It shows slice of life. How you make your life decisions and make a change. I really like it, overall it is good and I cried a lot for CheChe but even though I can understand "privacy" and stuff how can a minor decide to hide something so important from his own parents... even the "psychotherapy" was a bit...

1st of all, I hate when there are series for a book.

2nd I don't like heavy novels usually.

I'm a fluff reader, so it was hard for me to go through the whole plot.

For me many things didn't make sense. And I also don't like the manipulative side shown here.

I love this one despite its imperfections.

If you want a bit of angst but still cute and fluff, this is for you. I really like this novel, it made me cry and smile at the same time. I can't help but dream of my high school days and campus' love.

Though I feel that some of the scenes are too cruel to be in a campus novel.
