this novel is my guilty pleasure, a weak MC with a harem, and every guy in that harem is deranged and op, and it has a good plot that keeps me reading, im always refreshing daily to see if this novel is finally updated, im so hooked I finish the chapters immediately and then get sad there isnt more, MC will get stronger but I like him like this :3 every new scary overpowered character introducted is immediately in MCs harem (im delusional) CLK my baby <3

it's good, although right now the MC isn't powerful yet, he's still a funny guy. He doesn't really act cowardly or strong, he's just normal. And I like that. It's also hilarious how he's unknowingly growing a harem haha. The characters actually feel like they have personalities rather than characters that are just there to support the MC. Yep also, I accidentally mis clicked, I meant to give it 4 stars but for some reason it won't allow me to change the star ratings, sorry.

I am on the fence with this one, the novel has some good points, but unfortunately I find the characters and the story lacking in some ways.

  • the story supposed to have some uber strategic genius ppl in the MC’s group, but they are not really good at strategy at all.

for example they are invisible and the only one who can see them are the MC or someone with really specific skills. Soo why does it neccesary for the MC to search with them in the hospital arc? The whole thing just gives unnecessary risk for the whole operation. I understand the this is a novel and you can’t just leave the MC behind but maybe try to find some clever ways that you can include him. Deus ex machina and convenient plotlines are not cute

  • typical problem with this type of novel is that it does not have a flow. It will go on and on in some scene and totally ignore others.
the characters: I found that almost all of them are not really likable characters.

we have a stundere boy character. As a tipical stundere he can’t have any normal interaction with the MC.

we have a yandere boy character (but it is actually understandable why) if someone can’t deal with crazyness one whole arc will be a no for them.

we have an agressive rude “strong independent woman” character, but unfortunately I don’t think that just because someone is a female they can get a pass with the omg she is so strong that is so rare for a woman card. Rude and agressive is rude and agressive regardless of gender.

the ML he is not terrible but because of the supposed strategic mastermind setting which he can’t provide, his whole character is looks a little fake

  • Huge thank you for the translator. They translate really fast and the quality of the translations is amazing.
  • I like the MC.
  • I like the world building and the skills/classes, I played MMO for some years and it is really nostalgic to read this story.
  • It reads itself (I am curious about the story and will continue)

I loved this translation by foxaholic, such a wonderful gift to be able to read. I finished the last of it manually translating so I feel like I lost some of the overall impact but I still really enjoyed it. I'll probably reread once the translation is finished. The dynamics between the MC and the red lotus guild members is so good. The story really uses a lot of dark and horror moments to talk about what actions we can forgive in others versus what we can't forgive, which I'm... more>> a fan of thematically in fiction. Overall, a lot of very flawed and sad (and f*cked up) but interesting characters. <<less

I was interested because I liked other novels this translator has done and they did not lead me wrong!

I found this and read 279 chapters pretty much every spare moment even forgoing sleep. Some arcs are a little long but they do develop the story so I'm okay with it. There's a lot of interesting characters and I am curious as to how it all comes to a conclusion.
