what make it unique for me is, that this novel included the npc too. And they see the transmigator as destroyer. Even the ML, the protector (the native/npc), engaged in the last big war too. This novel pretry much is told from the npc point of angle. And the ML and MC are also often switch POV.

He just invited everyone to eat in his house, while also displayed his shocking power, telling the others that he'll fight the last boss, and then that's all. The end. Boss got defeated. Eehhhhhh... So simplee... *sigh

The novel basically asks the question, what if the NPCs aren't NPCs but "real" humans who just want to protect their real world and the transmigrators are the villains? I thought this was a great idea and unique as so far all the system books I've read, the MC takes on the role of transmigrator and the reader is supposed to root for him and his buddies to clear the "game" world. It goes on to explore some great concepts that goes along with that.

Yes, the MC comes off very anti-social at some parts but I thought that made sense. The dude experienced over 3000 worlds basically playing the role of world butcher and experienced countless betrayals, life/death situations, and gained god-like powers. Who wouldn't be screwed up in the head? He's the perfect example of the saying "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." He's so idealistic and kind of naive in a weird way that he turns into a dictator. His intentions are all for the good but the actions taken to realize his intentions can be ruthless.

Now that's my kind of character. I love the anti-hero, dark, flawed, and complicated types. And here's where I thought the writing failed a bit. Because that characterization wasn't consistent. It was like the author was too scared to go all the way with him in that line and so we would get that anti-hero stuff and then the next page, it would play like a comedy skit. So he just turned into the typical tsundere ML types. There's a way to mix in the deep darker stuff with comedy and make it work but here I thought it worked half the time and half the time it didn't

The author also tried to mix up the gong/shou trope with MC/ML taking on different roles from the usual and it kind of worked, kind of didn't. Instead of breaking the trope/stereotypes completely, they just switched roles so some of the stereotypes are still there just in the opposite character. It's not bad, I just thought it could've been more. I do like their relationship for the most part. They start off the story hiding a ton of stuff from each other (with understandable reasons) but avoided the usual dog blood melodrama that usually comes with that.

Like with the MC/ML, I liked some plots with the side characters and didn't like others. The biggest problem I think is that it got too repetitive. I do like the redemption stories where the transmigrators come to understand the natives and work with them. I like the relationships between the side characters and each other way more vs. The side characters and MC. Like Lian Yufan/Luo Hai, Cen Xiao/Zhen Li, ML and his buddies, Director Xiao and the protectors etc. They were all more interesting than MC+any side character and could've easily been spun off to their own little mini-stories.

Though it does have some time travel f*ckery, it doesn't drag on for very long or affect the main premise too much, which I appreciate.
