Sure enough, the story is true to its title. It's very frustrating and tedious. If you are a person who loves angst, this is for you. The spoiler contains my frustration and dissatisfaction towards this novel.

Spoiler

Sigh, the MC has loved the ML for so long, yet it took 80 chapters for ML to realise that he also LoVeEs the MC.

Honestly, a block of wood has more personality than ML. What I really hate is how much of a pushover the MC is. He kept lamenting how s*upid he is for being a dog for ML for 14 damn years, yet--

YET!

In the end he ended up with the scumbag ML.

Really, I'm so tired reading this. At first I'm rooting for the MC to get over ML. And he did. But he still ended up being married with ML and trEatInG hiM LikE beForE, bRAAAVOOOO *rolls my eyes*

And the ML such a s*upid block of wood;

- mentally ret*rded (really, simple logic is lost on him. So freaking s*upid and dense, thought the world owes him everything)

- arrogant as f*ck (he thinks the world revolved around his puny ass)

- a grown ass baby (can't take care of himself for god's sake; very dependent on ppl)

- half-mute (for real, all he can do is staring at everyone with his silent eyes as if everyone can telephatically understand what he meant from a freaking glance)

I was hoping for a satisfying face-slaping, or redemption, or whatever its called. And I'm bound to be very disappointed. Even the ML's mom and sister are treated just like that. Like wthell, MC was treated like a nanny and a dog for 10 damn years.

There's no likeable characters in this story. Everyone is freaking annoying. And worst, the latter part of the story is just like a summary, with little dialogs, and just explaining this or that.

What ML did wrong:

- realising his feelings too late (for real, it took the last chapter and dying breath for him to regret that he wasn't good for the MC, tsk, what a block of wood)

- treating MC like a dog (heck, even a dog gets better treatment)

- treating MC like a f*ck buddy, yet a f*ck buddy get more benefits than MC

- letting his sister, mom, and practically everyone in the city disrespect him, gossip about him.

- giving his familly and his other boytoy WAAYYYYY more benefits than they deserve, meanwhile the MC work his bone out and all he got is a burden.

- he NEVER really talk or LISTEN to MC, he doesn't even know what MC like. This is a whole new level of "taking for granted" shit.

- thought the MC owes him. Pfft, he got nothing but a big dick.

- blocking MC everywhere in the city to the point where MC's membership got cancelled and he has to take refuge in Jiang Hu's house

- stalking MC, forcing MC to love him, marrying MC. At this point he's no better than a kidnapper

- getting a child that has no blood relationship with MC and hoping the MC would raise his child with devotion. (See? No logic. Who the f*ck wants to take care of the child of your hated person, the ML always decide everything on his own. Never consult. Never understand.)

- he wants to patron his cousin whose eyes looked a bit like ML's father (what the hell ML?) And thank f*ck the MC ruthlessly move out and filed for divorce (in which the ML doesn't agree)

See? ML loves no one but himself.

In the end ML is the real winner. He got the looks, the riches, the son, and MC. At this point I think ML is the real MC.

I really don't understand why MC thought it was entirely HIS fault that he became what he was; a lovelorn old bachelor. But, I see no logic in this. Yes, the MC is single-handedly chasing the ML, ok I understand it is annoying to be chased by a person you don't like, any SANE person would just reject and retreat, right? But nOooOoo the ML using MC to cook for him, wash his laundry, prepare his bath, better yet f*ckING him for at least ONCE A WEEK for 10 DAMN YEARS. Any normal person would become crazy. But wow, all of those and MC still think he is the main cause of his predicament. *Applause for the logic*

Well they do deserve each other, both are dumbasses. If the author wants to prove how disgusting love is, then I considered them succeed, since I'm so disgusted by this. Really, I read this book till the end waiting and hoping for at least one chapter to make me satisfied, but nooooOoOoo. Damn, I wish I could take back all of those hours I spent. I regret it. I had high expectation because of the rating. Now, I'm so disappointed.

Anyway it's also tiring to write this review. Bye.

Unrequited love is one of the painful experiences in love. How much more a decade of unrequited love, ambiguous relationship, warming each other in bed but after the heat of the moment the other party turns colder than ice? Guan Ling endured all of that. He even endured all the gossip and mockery from the Shang family. Clinging to the thought that at least he seems to be closest person next to Shang Yingrong's family and that maybe someday they'll be official and he'll finally be loved.

But that someday crumbled... more>> and his glass that has been half filled- half empty became full. The last straw was when the house he was not even allowed to stay in welcomed another person. He finally open his eyes and had enough of being s*upidly in love with a bloke of ice.

This where Guan Ling's journey on moving on starts. You gotta hand it to him. When he decided to stop pursuing SYR a lot of people mocked and talked behind his back but he took like a real champ. He is one of the strongest MC I've ever read (emotionally). He did some s*upid things for SYR but you have to admire that he never shy away from his mistakes and calmly get back to those nasty gossipers.

As for SYR ? He is the reason why I would really be fine if this novel has a BE. I'm fine if they will never end up together that's my wish! They better not end up together?

SYR appears to be somewhat cold, handsome and rich (can't say he is perfect coz he can't even managed his own meals (*snorts* the fudge), well he is the perfect example of a scum gong that you will wish you'll never meet and fall in love with. He is the epitome of someone you don't want as a partner (I know it's very evident that I hate him that I want to kick him where it hurts the most).

I need to stop talking about him or this will be a hate letter to SYR.

Moving on, this novel has that unrequited love, I chase you, I give up, then, the other party started to chase after the MC (mind you not because of love but because he was too dependent to the MC such an *ss) and slapping those faces that needs to be slapped. This is angst in it's most primitive form. You'll get angry but you'll also have realization especially on Guan Ling's part. He is definitely the Main Character. He is the masterpiece in this novel. And I want to thank the author for creating Guan Ling's character.

You all out there who's in the same boat as GL take him as your model (not when they get back together okay? Coz I have a bad feeling SYR is really our ML?). Prioritizing yourself is not always selfishness sometimes it's a form of self love. You need to love yourself and have a decent amount of self respect. Otherwise people will think you are easy to bully. <<less

First of all, this novel is frustrating just like its title. This novel will takes you on an emotional rollercoaster.

So as you can read from the other review, our MC Guan Ling's 10 years (with extra 4 year of crush while in their college days) of unrequited love for ML Shang Yinrong, while the later keep bed hopping with lots of other boy toy and treated GL as his servant and occasionally bed warmer.

After enduring constant mocking gaze and humiliation from SYR, Shang family mother-daughter and SYR's friend, business partner... more>> and colleagues, GL decide to leave SYR and not disturbing his life anymore. But his decision lead into a tragedy. SYR who didn't believe that GL can just walk away from his life, keep pestering him and his friend. After a painful episode of not getting any daily care from GL, SYR did everything to drag GL back into his life, even he had to using all disgusting trick.

But since GL himself not a weak guy, he didn't actually resort into what he used to be, a servant and bedwarmer. He did everything despicable just to make SYR pay for every single humiliation he felt before.

Spoiler

SYR is an as*hole to the bone. He's a bit pitiful in his older days, but it's worth for everything he had done to GL before.

He currently kept 2 sugar baby whom he treated better than GL. Later, GL manage to kick one of the sugar baby, while the other one decide to leave by himself and date another SYR's ex-sugar baby/underling.

He finally figure out his feeling for GL a bit late, confessed but rejected. GL did give him a chance later, but SYR messed up and makes GL hates him even more.

Finally in their late year, he confessed again, GL who already old and tired accept his feeling but still feel no love for SYR.

GL himself almost date one of his close friend but tricked into marrying SYR so his friend won't be targeted. But later GL did have an ambiguous relationship with a guy 10 years younger than him. It's anger SYR so much, but he can't do anything because GL keep remind him with all his past deeds for humiliating GL's love.

[collapse]

Spoiler

And about the so called marriage between SYR and GL is actually one of SYR disgusting trick so GL can't run away from him. In the end GL make use his status as SYR's legal marriage partner to acquisition most of SYR's company, making SYR a CEO in the name only and GL as the actual owner and financial holder of SYR's company.

The end was realistic, and felt like not really the end. I felt heavy -- but this novel was good. The author is articulate. A lot of issues has been tackled for the characters' development and for the readers to understand their stance in dealing life.

Although it ended like that, this doesn't prevent me from appreciating the author's ability and skill in writing and storytelling. I've read a lot of dog blood, dramatic novel of groveling ML but this novel was delivered pretty well and quite impressive. Most of the... more>> time, I would lose interest reading before half of the novel or even between 2 to 20 chapters due to weak and absurd characterizations but this novel has been interesting in general all the way through the end. Of course, there were some parts were the thoughts have been repeated but those parts were to drive up the point of the character's reasoning or current beliefs.

The author manages to throw various events and issues and it's a never ending struggles for the characters for us to understand them and which also keep the story going. What makes this novel more interesting are on the life philosophies embodied by the characters, may from past to the present, and the author manages to create witty and clever conversations between characters or funny character's thoughts/philosophies.

About the end, though I felt heavy, I want to read more. Although the author threw bits of pieces about how the characters will end or die in the course of the fan wai (extras) but the ending kept me hanging. So I'm not properly reconciled, although it's given and MC had already expressed his view when ML gets old. I won't elaborate more, it's just me feeling that way, but I still do recommend this novel to those who wanted to give this a try, not for the ending but for the appreciation on the varied presentation of characters and their views on love and life. So this novel in general is for mature readers or for those who understands the vicissitudes of life for it to be appreciated. <<less

Selfish, emotional range of a teaspoon ML x Previously devoted, disillusioned MC.... more>>
Spoiler

Merry Bad End as they end up together but MC is no longer in love.

[collapse]

Pros: I think this may be my favourite “chasing the crematorium” novel to date? I really really like the MC. He’s decisive and even ruthless when he wanted to cut the relationship, but he’s also self reflective and reasonable. He’s not hyper focused on revenge, and admitted to a certain extent things devolved that far because of his own doing (this is NOT victim blaming, MC just acknowledges that he could’ve walked away earlier). I actually like reading about the ML too. It’s not quite the same as liking his character -bit hard to find him attractive when he can be such a man-child, but I like reading the slow progression of his feelings. ML didn’t suddenly realise that he’s been in love with MC all along (how can he, when he doesn’t know him at all?) - his refusal to let MC go was definitely for self-centred reasons (honestly why can’t he just hire a nanny) and he remains selfish to the end but the story becomes more realistic and nuanced because of it? This is not a romance fantasy, but a mature bittersweet story about missed chances and the consequences of one’s own choices. I actually am fine with the ending because the MC has the emotional upper hand.
Spoiler

ML realises (finally) that he will never ever have MC’s love ever again and that it’s his own fault.

Merry Bad End for the win!

Cons: TL was dropped. I was invested enough to read the MTL but I’m sure I’ve missed a few things. The subplots with the secondary love interests were a little draggy at parts for my taste. Like another reviewer mentioned, I wish we had a more direct view of ML’s thoughts and feelings (though considering his dubious decisions maybe not having a front row seat is a blessing). And I know I said I loved the MBE but at some point I was rooting for the ML to win over MC. But then ML didn’t just drop the ball, he dug his own grave and lie in it. Got no pity for ML’s emotional torture since then, though it is, as the title warned, frustrating. <<less

I hope somebody picks this up.

This novel will really make you feel frustrated to the extreme. It's your typical *selfless shou chasing scum gong who took the MC for granted* Kind of like a combination of Loneliness and A Decade of Deep Love, and a bit of Blooming Romance

MC might be selfless but he's not an idiot, well maybe he is for falling in love with the scum gong, but he's trying to pick himself up and start anew, after 10 years. Still, better late than never right? The ML and everyone around him, on the other hand, are all unbelievably shameless with the capital S.
Spoiler

Tbh I felt from the start that ML must have really liked MC, just that his having difficulties asserting his emotions nor showing it, until I read Chapter 12 where I had my impression of him turned 360°. He's like a f*cking psychopath that after MC made it clear to him multiple of times that he wouldn't pursue him anymore, he broke to his house nonchalantly and continued to act like like MC would serve him at his beck and call. I couldn't fathom how the second chance tag came to be.

[collapse]

Other than that, it's really good read for angst, the writing is excellent as well. I would really appreciate it if someone would continue translating it.

This is a novel you might not finish, but it's worth starting and reading what you deem enough.

Why I say this? Because this novel describes a relationship with a SSS-level of toxicity. So I think it's a right thing for people who haven't been into many relationships to read and extract a few points for themselves. What would they do if they happened in a similar situation? What would happen if someone they know/love happened to be in a similar situation? Would they come out unscathed, would they go on... more>> etc.

But I also perceive this story as a more mature piece (1/3 I read). There's no melodrama that is abundant in such stories with 'i love you and you love me, let's scream and shout through entire novel, but suddenly realize our love and will live happily ever after'. No such thing. This story has more tolerance and sacrifice that people can go through, if they end up in unfavorable situation, but still they can't get untangled with the basic premise being: ML having a certain emotional distance with MC, but still not letting him go. And MC, who became utterly disappointed in his love, but can't go away due to care for people who could be used against him.

I personally have to applaude and feel sorry for MC tbh. I applaude him because he is really tenacious, not because of the fact that he persued someone and suffered for 10 years, but because he kept and keeps hiding so many emotions, can sacrifice so many things as adults would have to do for the greater good or higher aim. He knows and sees clearly the actions and consequences that lie before him, so he doesn't make selfish moves that might result in something drastic, as for people he cares for as well as for himself.

ML is a character you'd personally want to strangle from day 1. He is portrayed as this irredeemable personality of overbearing. Usually people at the top are truly not lambs, so this part is accurate. He has a certain value to people and doesn't see MC as much according to that, because MC doesn't have good looks, he has above average talents, he only good part is he can take care of ML. But there's so much details in that care. In real life, people who may not love someone but receive that much of tolerance and care would grab that type of person and marry them right away. ML on the contrary didn't care much, because he knew the mechanisms of their relationship, before MC said - I'm done with you. And even if later he basically doesn't leave MC a choise but to get back, the relationship and genuine care can't be mended that easily. So there's no sudden realization like in a TV drama with *le gasp* and saying - I actually loved him all this time, what have I done?! No. ML due to his life journey, position, manipulations from his relatives doesn't really recognize his own feelings, he just knows that he was pretty content with MC in the posiition where he was, not many things downed on him, because he never really gave a deep thought about it, especially MC's feelings/dignity. And I must say, I don't support such a personality at all. Many things he had done are manipulative and assaulting. But because of the complexity of their situations and characters I came to appreciate the story itself as a desk example of - well kids, let's never end up like that, shall we?

And while I'm only at 1/3 of the entire novel I came here to write exactly this - at least if you won't finish it, it's worth to start it to see, recognize these things and better never end up in same situation and for people who were in such relationships to never judge them.

Personal RATE: 4, 5 / 5. The reason I shaved off 0.5 is that some of the outside situations were not detailed enough to me, so it seemed strange (like the reacon MC had to "hide" for 2 months, because of Xiao Qi etc.). <<less

I really love this amazing novel!

Guan Ling, the main character, is a very strong character. Heck, I can't even imagine loving someone who doesn't give a sh*t about me for 14 years. It's not just 14 days but FREAKING 14 YEARS!

When the last bit of hope (that his love and dedication would be repayed someday) vanished, Guan Long decided to gave up on him. And I tell you this, it is the most amazing thing that he did.

Now, let see how that scumbag will live without Guan Ling's presence in... more>> his life. I really hope that jerk will suffer. Oh wait. The jerk is already suffering. Serves him right?.

P.S. This is a very bad thing to say but I really want to strangle Shang Yingrong. His shamelessness makes me want to vomit??. <<less

I can't put into words how this story makes me feel but I'm really eager to write a review and maybe look back on this in the future. This story is really something, it gives you the common overbearing trope but that's it, everything about this is really touching and very realistic. It's really investing and it's not angsty in a way that misfortune after misfortune befalls the MC. I can say that the MC's life only fails on the part of direct relationship, blood relation, lover, in-laws and children.... more>> He fails them but he has people who really love and never betrayed him (close but not close enough to fill human needs) he has loyal subordinates, bodyguard, assistant, bestfriend, bestfriend's family.

We all have the idea of having good family, marriage, pleasing in laws and having a kid. Unfortunately, MC fails them all. MC's life is not all bad because the story focused on what they call "essence of life" but if we think the other way, MC grows and never failed how he live his life. He's admirable in nature, kind hearted and strong. Those walks of life is so overrated.

It's not like you can get everything in life. I remember my grandparents, their life is quite tragic, I might say, they live in poverty, they have 7 childrens, 3 have died, my Mom always tell how Grandma work as nanny and work herself out and granpa is a driver. They are not perfect in nature, they are very flawed. Grandpa is a gambling addict and he even has an affair before. Mom used to say that they once live in the house of granpa's mistress because they have nowhere to live. Grandpa never change, he even has history of going to bar club when I was already in 6th grade.

When they already hit old age, Grandma got a decent job as a treasurer of a small town's local government and earns a lot. They just got their own house, build it from scratch in their 60's, they live in harmony, granpa and granma. Maybe, similar to this, it's their kindness of being old, familiarity, but not love anymore.

(Just like Guan Ling said "when you hit old age, you remembers the joy more than bad")

My granpa died just last year at age of 70, quite a fair age, my grandma seems fine but sometimes she would look into little things that reminds of grandpa. From his favorite song or his name on the cup. Sometimes, you would wonder how they still stick together. It's misery. Like Guan Ling here said there are more bad things than joy in their relationship. I want to put the line of GL of "he's just loyal to his desire" for what the ML have done.

I've already read stories where people just end up just in their old age but I guess it just got to be fate. It's frustrating, after a lot of toss and turning, even people still give you misery, if bound by fate, they still end up together. Life is not wonderful, I like the wise words of old age in this novel. It's very solemn.

At the end, Guan Ling and Shang Yingrong never become lovers, Zhang Qin loves Guan Ling unconditionally, it's not fiery and burning love but it's at the point that he refuse to look for anyone and only love Guang Lin. It's frustrating. As he said "Sometimes love has nothing to do with being with that person or not"

This story is very well written, it's not scattered and full of loopholes, yes, I want to write a hateful letter towards the ML but he's not worth my time. Sometimes, either the character makes you full of emotion that you center all your memories of the story of him but here, they story is so good that I just want to write a review and remember I once read this story. It's not perfect but a good read. What I feel dissatisfied about is NO FLUFF in this story, as in -0, and the ML tried to cheat emotionally (unforgivable) I can handle heat of the moment or lust but not this. I'll once come back here and maybe create a commemorative fanfic or comics in the future. <<less

I don't know what Sheng Yingrong aka SY (ML) 's family eat to think they are some majestical being. They're all think other people will never stood in the same level as them. SY fell into separation complex right after Guan Ling aka GL (MC) leave him, yet he deadly won't admit he falls for GL because GL will never good enough for him. His arrogance take the better of him. The more you read it, this scum gong must thought himself is next to god. This ML and his... more>> family are the type that make you scoff by how they see the world. Bunch of narcissistic. Also, they're supposed to be a long generation of conglomerate yet they act like some nouveau rich who are afraid their money will be reduced anytime soon.

GL is not your typical spineless MC in crematorium novels. He let go when he realized that relationship is impossible. 10 years of persuit is enough. He's getting older, that game of chasing one sided love is not his plate anymore. As he did still have some feeling for SY, he didn't easily swayed for him. GL fight back when his peace disturbed. <<less

Okay, I'm telling you: if you love having scum gongs grovel, you'll love this novel. The ML may have made the MC wait for a long time (like... a decade...) and basically treated him like he was his personal butler, but goddamn the MC is so unforgiving and I'm here for it.

Once he decides to break off his relations, he stands his ground and does it.

Eventually it does get to the point where you feel a little bad for the ML just because all his advances are going nowhere... but... more>> nah, he's deserved it all. He literally only started missing the MC because of how much the MC was taking care of him and ML could barely survive without him. Seriously? You're an adult, but you're so dependant on someone that you don't even think is important? At some point you gotta learn how straighten your priorities.

Why would I still want to read this despite the useless ml, you ask? Well, 90% of the reason is because of how resolute and badass the MC is. The other 10% is for how madly the ML falls in love with him. Although it takes a looooonnnnngggg time, the MC is starting to think of the ML as someone he could "stay good acquaintances with". Yeah no kidding, MC is super good at severing all his feelings. This is like karma at its best, and it's such an amazing feeling. <<less

While this is a well-written novel, for those who are suffering in an emotionally abusive relationship, never give up trying to break free. There's always light at the end of the tunnel.

It just saddens me to say that, while I really hate the MC's attitude and how much of a scumbag ML is, they're the types of people that actually exist in real life.

reading this made me realize that realism in fiction can be a double edged sword. The characters in this novel and their relationships with each other felt too real for me to properly disengage myself and enjoy the story for what it is. I've read my share of dogblood novels but this particular story makes me think too much about the people around me in real life.

I sometimes wish the characters in this novel were more dramatic and less 3-dimensional. Reading this is like watching your parents fight all the... more>> time and you as their child just wish they would divorce. Or maybe it's like watching a loved one dying from illness but it's taking so long you just pray that they would die to end everyone's suffering. Its kind of crazy that instead of wishing that ML would die I kept hoping MC would just commit su*cide just so he could escape from this shitty life. I suppose it just goes to show how well the author portrayed Mc's struggle to escape only to cruelly cut off all his retreat.

I don't know if it's good or bad but now I have a bit more understanding towards the people in my life who don't leave unhappy, sometimes emotionally if not physically abusive, relationships. It gets harder the longer you're entangled with each other until you're trapped in every sense of the word.

a lot of times I felt like MC really should just resign to his fate, but as someone who is recovering from an emotionally abusive relationship, I have to keep reminding myself that no one should have to resign themselves to being treated with not even the barest minimum respect as a human being. Is this a good novel?

I'd say yeah, the writing is really good and there are so many quotable passages. The characters and their relationships with each other are rich even when the spotlight never leaves our main couple. Even when their common sense left the room, the characters aren't ashamed of admitting that. It's terrifying that through the ML's pov we find out that when MC begged to leave the first time he also felt it was the best course of action and that's why he agreed. Its only after he realized he literally couldn't live without MC that he went f*cking nuts. Its a painful, painful, reminder that emotions simply don't make sense and unless you don't feel it yourself you'll never be able to understand, let alone empathise.

The translator also did a great job and although I wish they had continued, I also feel like I shouldn't wish this on anyone except Google to translate HAHAHAHA

but would I honestly recommend this novel?

no.

the payoff simply doesn't make up for the abuse. I don't even know how to feel if I find out someone except the author actually feels a sense of catharsis from this novel :/ <<less

ML is a f*cking scumbag! MC has given him so much but got so less that it is pitiful. I just want ML to f*cking die. I'm too frustrated to the point of crying. How the hell does he have that kind of loftiness? MC is not a martyr. He has been chasing you for more than 10 years and given you chances to redeem yourself. But what did you ML? HE STILL F*CKED UP! I want to cut his cucumber! Hmph.

I hate the fact that everyone seems to be helping the ML.

ML was actually close to getting back together with MC when they were in their 30s but then he f*cked it all up. His electra complex when he saw the little cousin arranged by his mother. There were no words there. It just said that ML is "trying to fall in love". I am completely disgusted with him.

MC seems powerful on the surface, it is a façade put by the author of the novel. Idk MC is powerful and rich enough to go against ML but he did nothing but to go with the flow. He can try to go abroad to live a new life, he can try going far away from ML as far as he can, and he can even hire someone to assassinate the ML. He did nothing. He is s*upid.

That's how the main text ended. Read the extras for resolution.

I understand both the ML and MC, but love as suggested by the title, is frustrating.

This story was frustrated enough for me, like MC and ML, both of them are problematic.

Spoiler

First, I guess we can say that we are empathy to MC, but after understanding ML personality and realize his love, when MC lost his love toward ML and did cheated behind ML (with legalized relationship).

ML was enduring too long but in the end, they stay in Platonic relationship and MC realize his love again in his mid 60s

I wish I could shoot that ML. I really really really really really really hope that the MC finds someone who will treat better. Or at least I hope he finds happiness (hope not in that ML).

Has a good start but later it starts to feel so slow paced and then becomes into a slices of life story. I read over chapter 70+ and have to skip to the end to see if MC could change his attitude towards ML but no... a somewhat frustrating ending.

I must say that this is truly a dogbloody novel. I'm only around ch20+ but it felt so toxic. I mean I felt the same way with the other angsty novel I read before but this one is just too... frustrating. The novel is definitely great - it makes you wanna pull your hair out and strangle someone to death. I am not sure when will the grovel start or if will there be any. I'm not even halfway through the story but a lot of things already happened.

Edited: I... more>> got exhausted. Too exhausted. It made me feel so damn tired despite not being in a relationship. I wanted groveling and angst but not this 'you hurt me so I hurt you and let's stay like this forever' relationship. I can't blame the MC too for being such an a**hole. Actually, he's not. He's just doing his best to survive a life he doesn't want and be with someone he truly despises. The first quarter of this novel was great and showed me what I was really craving for but upon further reading I can't continue any longer coz I find both MC and ML detestable. And the reviews affected my determination to move forward coz of the events that will happen sooner or later and their ending. But all in all, it's a great novel that can f*ck you up and your sleep. Now I'm more concerned about the author's mental health when writing this. It's too draining. <<less
