However, one day, his left eye merges with the eye of an Ancient God in an accident. From that moment on, he turns from a fish into a dragon.
He rises up like a star, walking the path of a legendary cultivator.
From being a tiny, small ant at the bottom of the world, he rises step by step, into a place full of powerful sects, strong ancient clans and countless geniuses.
This is an era of legends.

It took barely more than 100 chapters for him to beat the top person of his sect's outer disciples, join the inner disciples, beat the best inner disciple, get adopted by another great teacher, beat the top person of that, join a sect in a new realm, and beat the top person of the outer disciples there, and become an inner disciple.
The way the story is being explained is so dull and lackluster to the point I can name some mediocre plot with better story writing/dialogue/explanation than this novel. This review is based on what I read up till chapter 63 and will update further. The story is intriguing, not gonna lie, but as I've said, the way the author describes the events happening, the internal dialogues, the crowd reactions, are truly dissapointing...
So, first off, someone said that the novel was written like a diary more than anything, and to that I say... I feel it's supposed to be written as a diary, though an interesting one. Ok, now to the review.
*Ahem*, so, Zhao Feng. Well... the author basically tries to build him into a super edgy battle maniac tbh. Especially with that eyepatch, the wicked aura, azure hair, and blah blah whatever edgy stuff. Through this, and his eye, which basically makes him immune to any major feeling, the author has effectively HEAVILY limited Feng's character development. Up to where I actually am, and from what I remember, he just has NOT changed. If he has, it would be hard to notice. The novel loses some of the fun that could be there from that fact.
1) Author does not make Zhao Feng too OP. He can only fight people 1-2 realms above him maximum, and that's only early within the novel.
At one point, in the True Realm or whatever the name was, he was only capable of fighting an opponent at the peak of his stage, no higher (stopped reading the novel a bit past the point in which he hit True Human).
3) Romance pretty much doesn't exist, but the novel doesn't need that. I began reading CN for the action, not for the romance.
4) As this is the first CN I read, I felt that the arrogant and haughty antagonists getting beat up was very satisfying, so yeah.
5) Zhao Feng sure isn't s*upid (for the most part). Overall, it's a good read if you are interested in a series with action, good world-building, a decent cultivation foundation, and an apathetic MC (and more too but I want to make this short).
