Oh god, what an abysmally under written novel...

It's slice of life and at those parts it's quite good, MC may be OP but he's got the common sense of a normal person which is quite nice to read, I quite liked the pacing of the first chapters and the way the author paints his surroundings and how everything comes down to common sense and not some utterly pointless "plot device" that gave him an unnatural knowledge of something like other stories.

The development of the story is the development of the... more>> "area" which is nice, since it's the ultimate focus of the novel, but why does the author cram "harem" into this? I don't know... there is neither romance nor s*x in the story the more I get into this, more things start to flare up my "bad writing" alarm because they are severely under written, the jumps in time that were necessary at first because if not the pacing would be abysmal became the way to gloss over character growth and interactions... and then we have "jump backs" as if the author is trying to "oh! and I forgot I also have immunity" like an 8 year old making up stuff in the middle of a game.

We already are starving for dialog because everything is written as a monologue from MC POV, but at the chapter I'm currently at, there are no established personalities on ANY of the characters introduced, not even the MC, all we know is what he's working on... that's it... the author makes a point to say that the MC can't name every single "dog" but it feels the same for everyone involved, since no one has any character everyone is forgettable.

There is litteral world building, but zero "world building" so far, we know nothing Jon Snow!, I'm sure it's not gonna keep going like that anyway but... with the style and pacing I dread the moment MC is gonna get exposition dumped in lieu of actual world building... this author is baaaad at this...

It feels like watching my son play minecraft with his friends... it's not a bad thing really but I wouldn't want to read a novel written by my 12 year old son... <<less

I really don't understand how the ratings for this are so high.

It's completely a stream-of-consciousness.

The plot armor is thicker than the protagonist.

It's really frustrating to read.

Every line is it's own paragraph.

The MC's cheats are shallow.

So are all his interactions.

Suspension of disbelief isn't necessary, because you can't get attached to the characters enough to care.

Seriously, this a grade-schoolers book.

The grammar and phrasing is just that childish.

This can't even be called a light novel, more a child's bedtime story.

Yes, it's that boring.

It's great. (Been reading the manga also)

Remember Harvest Moon? Yeah? Where you would like multiple girls but the game cockblocks you into Monogamy? Well in this novel, it doesn't take that rule.

In simpler words, Harvest Moon - Everything we ever wanted Edition.

It's fun, entertaining, such a boredom taker, and an all-around very peaceful novel where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the fun.

Oh yeah, the MC doesn't take bullsh*t in his land, he will attack whatever that wants to attack his area (at least in the manga)... more>> <<less

Basically your typical slice of life novel.
    • MC get's transferred to another world
    • Wishes for a body that doesn't get sick
    • Farming tool that can change into any farming tool he wants
    • A place with no humans because of trust issues (literally gets spawned in a forest)

later gets dogs (infernal wolves) and spiders to live with him, and a beautiful vampire and an angel/elf? (Loads more women)

Overall it's a calm story, I don't think there is a plot apart from him developing and expanding the living space for his family.

so 4/5 for now. We will see how things go

This one is slow, relaxing and at the moment without a goal except to farm and grow a village.

While it doesn't really need much else I at least find that the writting style works best in the manga that is available the novel also gives the feel of having been made for a manga.

As a isekai slice of life there isn't much to say, the only thing of note is the harem.

The MC is the only male capable of mating with the females (except for the lizardmen, who can only mate with lizardmen) who lives in the village there for he is fairly early in charge of mating with at first 1 then 2 then 9 then 100+ and probably even more to come.

The MC is being sucked dry and as a bit of comical relief at one point they get asked to accept some villagers. But they will only get females since the men are needed for the mines. But the MC demands that some men are given along with the females.

End result is that 22 females are added and 3 little boys. This makes the MC collapse but, trying to stay postive he happily proclaims that in just a few more years the boys will become the wall he needs (he pretty much say's he will throw them to the wolves (the females) when breeding is required) to protect himself.

Food for thought is that because of the gods blessing he can most likely endlessly do the night time activity. It's simply that too much of the good stuff makes one not want the good stuff anymore :D

This is the top 1 best slice of life in this website. I really like the style of writing of the author. It's really natural and I can feel the characters are normal as can be as you view a real person. Really reminded me of Overlord the way of character behavior but Overlord has more depth in character. Still this novel Is the very best I could find in this site that is a "Slice of Life" genre to it and do it very well. I'm really looking forward... more>> to new chapters and I hope the chapters released should be at least 350+ but I can't be picky because I am not the one donating to TL teams :). The manga is left behind by the novel and it will take years for the manga to catch up. It's unfair for the latest release of manga to have 5-9 pages at most. Unlike in the very early chapters, it has 35 pages : (.

I really recommend reading the manga first before starting the novel. It may be backwards. But the manga is much better when it comes to entertainment. Then if you catch up to the latest release of the manga then switch to the novel. You may start over at chapter 1 again for a very fresh perspective and what you miss in the manga. <<less

A fun slice of life story in another world. The protagonist farms! Gradually that farm gathers animals and people and hi-jinks occur.

I've been reading this on my phone while watching a Let's Play of Harvest Moon. This is Harvest Moon but MC has superpowers and it's a fantasy world.

I'll start off by saying there is nothing spectacular about this novel, but that's okay. Novels can tell amazing and complicated stories, but it's nice to have a relaxed, simple, straightforward ones like this that you can read while turning your brain off. You have your typical OP soft-spoken JP MC, but I find it okay because he's primarily using his power 99% of the time to make it easier to farm. There are no real enemies, no world-altering quests, just farming. I think this is a solid calm slice-of-life... more>> novel that can be a nice palate cleanser especially if the rest of what you are reading is primarily CN novels. The humor is decent, and there are plenty of cute characters to like including dogs, angels and vampires. <<less

Another novel of a MC transported to another world with an OP gift from a god.

  • It's a Slice of life type novel
  • MC doesn't know his opness, the rest of the world is aware
  • He also has LIBIDO!... An it has a limit...
  • Real harem like Sevens but without yanderes
  • More or less defined characters. They're not only for the MC to do things, but their personalities aren't very original
  • Has manga adaptation, here explains things that makes the manga more understanable
A good novel between the Slice of Life ones. Acceptable translation, slowly expands the... more>> world and things happen... Always between the limits of a SoL type novel.

You can like or dislike it depending of your tastes, but it's not a bad one. <<less

I like how relaxing it is. ^^ No battle against countries, no hero, just a guy, who wants to become a healthy farmer after dying of illness in his previous life. All the fantasy elements makes him a OP farmer, but it's still really enjoyable.

As far I read manga and the novel, I think there won't be any tragic events, twisted plots and melancholy drama. Basically, it's all about easy going life and no conflict at all.

Nevertheless, it's quite fun. Perhaps in the future it might change for better or stay the same.

It's a nice slice of life novel.

What I liked the most is the humor. It's not that over the top, but it's just like jabs of humor that fits nicely to the feel of the story. My favorite is this running silent joke how the MC is almost never called by his name. He is just "Village Chief", and other villagers doesn't know his name and thinks 'village chief is village chief'.

The harem is not demerit to the story. Eventhough I'm not a big fan of the harem genre, I... more>> still found the harem here kinda cute and not really distracting. There's no unnecessary flirting or that moemoe/deredere/shy, blushing, 'ecchi' calling tropes. S*x scenes are not explicit, it's just implied they just do the deed everynight and eventually have children. Just like a normal family life.

The cast keeps getting bigger with these interesting characters. But I never found keeping track of them hard. Although there are many characters, not everyone are named, most are just called by their race. And those named ones still leaves an impression and are often part of the story.

It's a good slice of life, but for those looking for epic fights and war, this novel isn't for you.
The fights are mostly in the martial arts tournament during the harvest festival.
But there's two chapters so far (one is already translated) where the MC had a dream of enemy invading the village, foreshadowing or not, it's still far in the future when the kids have grown up.

I recommend this for those who want to read something light and fun. <<less

This is a fun, mellow story about a farm in another world. Light-hearted and silly, it's a relaxing read. There's no great adventure to go on or evil monsters to fight (there are monsters in the forest but MC quickly and comedically defeats them whenever they show up), just the MC living his life without any real struggles.

The humor is fairly subdued and the format kind of reads like a diary. I regard that as a plus but others might dislike it. But if you're looking for a simple story... more>> with no tragedy or disaster, give this one a shot. It's a nice change of pace to know every chapter is going to have a happy ending and nobody will be unhappy. <<less

5 Stars rating for me. The very important quality of novel for me is for the novel to be enjoyable to read and this novel takes the cake with a cherry on top. Yes there are many flaws and whatnot but hey just look at the genre please. Also this site has limited and too general tags to place an appropriate ones.

MC doesn't really OP that much but the creatures that the MC befriended are the OP ones. The sexual contents are minimal and usually have been skipped or only... more>> mentioned rarely. Yeah it is harem but it's not the main focus of the story. Mature MC and he is reasonable to a tolerable extent. Harvest moon or Stardew Valley vibe if you know what I mean *wink*.

If you expect this novel has some over the top detailed boring style of writing then go away and don't read this. Because this novel won't miss you or anything. You will only miss the point of this novel if you are not gonna enjoy reading this. The novel is clearly meant for a manga so expect that it has some flaws and the novel has no grand goal at the moment besides living a fulfilling life and city building stuffs.

Remember, it is slice of life and what slice of life genre novels have? Have everyday life story. It doesn't really need a clear goal other than living doesn't it? <<less

This story is slow paced and relaxed (maybe) I read the manga too, its really good tho. I really like this kind story, lets hope the author didn't rush the story like adding this adding that and etc.

It is an typical isekai story, MC dead and God gave him some power and some help. But this one is different, because MC choose to be Farmer. And he basicly do some minecraft sh*t, like destroying thing at first then realize he need to build a shelter or home or house whatever... more>> u call it. Then he got dog or wolf after that he got some spider and then he met a girl that actual bloodsucking B... Is this story created based on minecraft?? It does realy takes minecraft reference tho. <<less

If you are interested in reading this generic novel, the manga is tolerable but suffers from similar problems. The biggest problem is not with the story or characters, that's another issue, but with formatting. Every line is it's own paragraph, and details are minimalist or non existent at best. To those who compare this to Harvest Moon, the similarities are insignificant. There isn't a development of relationship as basically all women immediately want to f*ck him. There isn't a consequence for his constant usage of his "OP power" and why... more>> would a f*cking God bother with this person because of an accident. It would change nothing if he just woke up in this world and had this power. In harvest moon there are goals that you, has the player has, but he doesn't seem to have any.

Farming details isn't sufficient enough to fulfil any wanton niches of readers. The harem is one sided, as this typical isekai protagonist doesn't want to even have a relationship, he's not a dense brick, he literally doesn't want it. One of the tags, relates to rape, I'd imagine that the female characters legitimately would back off if he says no. But he doesn't, he has no personality or even cares, outside of the fact that it's exhausting. Which is remarkably poor in actual characterisation and he doesn't want to be the only male in the village. On that note, village building is lacklustre same as the farming. If you are here for such things, it's not here. Kingdom building happens later and feels shoved in, carelessly with no impact. Main character dies, get resurrected by god grants his wish of a healthy body and granted the "Almighty Farming Tool" which changes forms that related to farmer tools in general. How a spear is related is tangible at best so it really feels that he has no limitations to this. He's a bore. He has no personality, he's bread-kun, he's your op character who gets all the ladies but gives no shits. Is he an audience surrogate? Well certainly most people reading this would glad f*ck those ladies who're just lining up to f*ck him. But he doesn't, he acts like it didn't even happen.

He has no motivation other than living, he has no personality, he just does things. He doesn't say no or object. He arrives at a continent where the demon king lives where the land can't grow, but he can grow there with aft. Then his place slowly starts to grow with new inhabitants. If this is how Japanese people see themselves as him or want his place, wow. What strange wish fulfilment is this.

There is no story. Things just happen outta the blue and there is no stakes for our main character, only the side characters who don't get reprucussions in the true sense. Nothing happens, he has kids, who don't get a focus so no cute fluffy childcare moments for people here for that. Characters are one note and, while boring and typical, are better than protagonist in the way that, they have motivations and aspirations, some, but not all. Conflict is non existent. It says more that I've used no names, because it doesn't matter, angel lady 1, vampire lady, baby, the many million dogs he gets, etc. No character has, well, a character, that just exist, pop in and out. Slice of life, implies that for a lack of a complicated in your face story, character interactions and development would take focus. I don't remember a character, there is so little or none at all that makes an impact. This web novel is so generic that people are fine with it, this novel doesn't deserve its ratings. If we had to pay for this, it wouldn't be rated this high. It's palatable but overall has nothing to it, an equivalent to toddlers' baby books. But those usually have a lesson to them, or are rembered. Like clifford, Scooby doo, Hairy Mclary, spot the dog, anything from Dr. Seuss. If you truly want to read this lame ass novel, the manga adaptation is much more palpable and adds more this novel than it has any right to. And so far the latest release has them doing a tournament for some reason that I don't care for.

Its also slow. A high school student could craft a more engaging story than this, one that doesn't read as if it's for five year olds. I also don't believe that its rating is undeserved due to how non-graphic it is, with any details. It's so sexless that even when s*x is actually happening it describes nothing. <<less

Long story short, its boring.

The story lacks depth and way too generic. Considering how the story is being introduced, I doubt there will be a change of pace any time soon. Its just boring.

Protagonist is OP, and if you are a long time reader, you can see how this will go.

Skip this if you want a story with depth and story development.

I haven't read that much the novel, but the manga is way too boring even for a slice of life.

The thing is that the farming setting is not bad its even appealing, but it falls into the monotony of the generic isekai op MC genre the same tragedy seen in other novels with the isekai tag in it. Long story short the novel is bland at most I gave it 1 star because it doesn't have any development at all.

Don't be fooled with the high reviews if you want something... more>> well written this is not for you, if you still want to read it I recommend a high-grade alcohol bottle. <<less

It's one of those isekai, where the author goes into so little detail about what is happening that any event becomes extremely dull and it feels more like a summary of a proper story than anything you'd actually want to read. Avoid.

If you like light stories with a calming atmosphere (like me), then this novel might be for you. This novel also received a manga adaption which has good illustrations.

The story begins in a typical isekai style, the MC dies and is transferred in another world where he finds himself blessed with a younger body and new power. In this case, the MC receives a body that does not get sick and a powerful farming tool that can transform into any farming tool he wishes.

There is nothing to praise about the... more>> MC himself because doesn't really have a 'personality', and being hard-working isn't really one. This is the kind of MC that people would probably self-insert themselves into. I didn't like the MC because he doesn't have a real character. He's bland and too flat. I prefer characters to actually have characters, not a blank avatar with gaps. If you have no problem with this kind of MC then you will enjoy this novel more.

He also acclimated quickly to his new life, in a generic isekai op MC style which some people might like or dislike. I'm not a big fan of it but it's isekai so I can look past it, it helps that there is a large cast of side-characters in this story too.

My problem with characters like this who adapt quickly is that if they've been so competent and capable from the beginning, they wouldn't have died like a dog during their time on Earth. Which was the case for this character, since it was mentioned that he slaved away in a Black Company (Japanese companies that take advantage, abuse and work their employees unfairly) which caused his illness and eventually, death. It's quite tragic and it would've been great if the author used this as a chance to give the mc's character some flesh but unfortunately...

The other characters are more enjoyable for me, as some of them actually have personalities and are likeable. A lot of the monsters like zabuton and the inferno wolves are very cute.

This novel has a harem, but romance is non-existent. There is a 'reverse rape' tag here but I wouldn't go as far to say that he is raped, but more like he just doesn't care. At all. Almost all the girls in this story want to bang him. He reluctantly gives in though, so he ends up sleeping with them which might be uncomfortable to some people.

honestly feels like they are using him at times and because the MC doesn't have any personality, back-bone or self-preservation, he goes with it.

The writing style is probably what breaks this novel for me, it is simple and feels too juvenile even for a webnovel. Like something written by an elementary student. In fact, comparing it to the writing of an elementary school student might be insulting to the average elementary school students around the world. Rather than a novel, it feels like reading someone's diary with the way it is written and presented. This might not be a bad thing for everyone though, as the writing style can help make the novel easier to understand for some. But it didn't work for me.

All in all this is still a good read if you want something laid back and lighthearted. However, if you do want to read this but the writing style turns you off, you might want to check the manga instead. I personally prefer the manga because the illustration is good and the visual aid helps with the technical details that this novel has plenty of. <<less
