It's pretty good... if you have the patience to read through 500+chapters. And more chapters every so often.

Jk brave in another world by the same author has 36 chapters as of now.

The story consists of how Demon Kings, Dragons, Undead Kings, Mermaids, Angels and other people live on the farm. And sometimes Gods descend there too. Hilarity ensues after.

Its good for people who want a good slice of life story while feeling the hilarity and happiness of everyone sometimes.

The manga doesn't explain a lot of the details but is good in it's own right.

The MC

It's up to you whether you want to read this but every opinion counts as great. The initial storytelling isn't so hot but gets better soon. All in all depends on the reader.

You can go read the manga for a detailed idea.

For action go read the Jk Brave Hero gaiden.

Have a Nice day! <<less

I generally like Isekai novels and have pretty low standards for them, but there really doesn't seem to be anything here to enjoy. The author doesn't have the MC use his cheat in any interesting or creative ways. He simply finds something he wants to do, uses his cheat, and accomplishes it almost immediately. The MC moves from one trivial task to another without any sense of direction or accomplishment. There's plenty of places which would have been good candidates for explanation or world building but they're all glossed over.

I'm... more>> usually willing to overlook unrealistic situations or even shoehorned events, but they're painfully bad in this novel. The main character catches a mermaid with a fishing hook, who states in about three lines that she looks down on land dwellers but because she's been caught she has to marry him. She says all of this pretty much without any meaningful reply from the main character. A few chapters later she's idolizing the main character for his power. Like his cheat, her main role seems to be to provide convenient solutions for the inconveniences in his life, while adding a line or two of dialogue here and there.

The translation (at this time) is MTL. It's not the worst MTL i've read and pretty much every line is understandable. I didn't run into lines where I was stumped by what was meant. That said, the sentences read poorly because they need editing so it doesn't feel like I'm reading a story. Even with better editing, however, I don't think the story is salvageable. <<less

For what the story wants to be, it achieves it. It's your transferred to another world slice of life with a cute wife, cooking meals and lots of friends visiting for the food. It's perfect if you want to relax and enjoy a story that fills your heart with warmth. Currently I would suggest reading the manga as it is ahead of the current translation plus Mak 5s translation is just bad. Maybe with an editor it can be salvaged.

Right off the bat, you have two translators. SHMTrans is better. However they don't continue and you're stuck with Mak 5 who's translation (based on the prolouge) either used MTL and never edited it or is just bad at translating. By the time you finish reading SHMTrans' translation Mak 5 requires you to subscribe. Then in the late chapter 30s (38 or 39 maybe) you get a translator who does a much better job.

To those who enjoyed SHMTrans' translation but don't want to read Mak 5's I suggest you go... more>> to the manga and come back.

As for the story itself, it is not to be taken seriously. It very light hearted, carries a comedic undertone, and is all round a okay time waster. The characters themselves aren't very noteworthy.

The MC

The MC is strong but is that typical guy who underestimates himself, allow others to push him around (his wife mostly), and is basically the househusband (every other character wants his cooking only).

The MC's wife as well as a mermaid princess. She's bossy at times but knowledgeable about many things. She's kinda irritating at times with her attitude but generally come from good intentions.

I can't remember her name but she is capable of turning into a human. She's like a spoiled brat and is bribeable with MC's food. Not much different from an actual child except she much older.

hero summoned and deemed worthless, MC convinces the king to sell him some far-away land.

Similar to Isekai Nonbiri Nouka. Instead of an all-powerful farming tool, he brings out the maximum potential of anything he touches.

Characters are good. Nice slow farming life. Good read.

Ah! Another novel with Japanese beta MC.

In my opinion it's a below average novel. But if you get tired from CN tr*sh novel and want to read slice of life type of novel, then you may pick it. Just don't expect much from it. (In the beginning translation is terrible, almost like MTL. But after 45 chapters it gets better)

Giving this 5 stars, because while it might rate this as 4 stars usually, I want to give it a little boost in the ratings, because I think more of the reviews are from before v-rustl started translating it, and those chapters at the beginning are worse than MTL.

If you stick with it, you will find a good novel, that while it might not have the most interesting plot, as a good old fashion slice-of-life novel, the true worth is in the characters and the interaction between them, and it's... more>> really great here, with memorable characters, and enough comedy to get a good laugh out of me every now and then.

Also, about the MC being the usual beta MC of most jp novels

The dude has been getting it on with his wife from day one, it's just never said out loud, because it's not the point of this novel, but it's made clear when they try to get a baby.

Also, not need to go crazy on everyone that looks at you the wrong way, this is not a CN novel, and most of the time they will realize themselves how screwed they would be if they try to cross him

Bro, it's almost fine, I don't mind if the MC is beta as long as the other characters aren't annoying, but he's just too much. He's always underestimatinh himself, apologizing even tho he hadn't done something wrong, this is so f*cking frustrating.

Well it's not bad for a slice of life isekai series if I had to complain about one thing it's that the majority of people are dumb asf. Let's take the king in chapter 1 for example he summons a group of students with skills far beyond what the worlds inhabitants are capable of and decides to lie to them that the demon king has a way home (yes that generic s*upid troupe) in hopes they will do most of the work for them without any training and ignoring the... more>> fact that they are kids or that they could rebel later on once they eventually find out he's lying to them which any person would have figured out if they didn't have a negative IQ. The students are dumb for not questioning him asking more about the situation or researching about the world. The MC can also be frustrating at times as he got kidnapped from his world against his will and thrown out and abandoned almost immediately and he felt apologetic that they had to pay he's nice and naive asf. If you can get past the fact that everyone is s*upid this isn't actually that bad and is definitely worth reading or at the very least checking it out. Don't expect anything game changing though like I was caught up in a hero summoning. <<less

Well this was unfortunate. I wanted to like this. It's the general setting im looking currently looking for but it's just hard to read. The translating to start off with is pretty rough, especially with the second traslator. A lot of chapters are peppered with errors that you would easily catch if you gave it a quick proof read. Describing a character as a beautiful girl, the daughter of so and so, then immedietly calling them "he". You know the old machine translating pitfall. Words that weren't coppied all the... more>> way. That kind of stuff.

Also the author seems a bit... terrible. More than a few times I've been reading and have had no idea who was saying what. In my head it's almost like random characters are shouting things at eachother and it somehow forms something resembling a coherent conversation but never quite getting all the way there. The MC's has a personality of a living doll. He litterly just goes along with the whims of others and offers almost no resistance to any idea. The personality of the female lead changes.... without reason. Some of the events are just to abrupt and leave me with the feeling of "sure, this may as well happen". Sometimes, and by sometimes I mean to often, they will say they can't do something because of some trivial reason and in the very next chapter do that thing without any explination. A few times the author has tried out a few literary techniques but they were just not utilized well and only made the passage more convoluted. These are just a few of the things that slowly ate at my sanity.

Is it the worst thing I've ever read? Close but no, I still don't recomend it though. You can find similar stories with far better writing very easily. So, ya know, treat yourself. Spend an extra 10 min looking for something better, you will thank yourself in the end. <<less

First thing's first: this story is NOT meant to be taken overly seriously. While not an outright comedy, it's more of a light-hearted, slightly silly story where the MC's OP-ness constantly takes him by surprise. The one must strongly failing to understand his power is himself.

If you're looking for something lighthearted that will put a smile on your face, this is for you. One note, some of the early chapters were not as well translated. Once you get into the v-rustl chapters, the quality stabilizes quite nicely.
